Kendall: All adults should play hooky in the middle of the afternoon. I finally felt connected again. I felt alive.
Ricky: I'm proud of you, Kendall. That is huge.
Kendall: Thanks. Well, you called it. No more obsessing on Zach's letter. Focusing on my boys was definitely the right thing to do.
Ricky: Good.
[Cell phone rings]
[Beep]
Diana: Why are you avoiding my calls? Don't want to tell me that you still haven't found Zach's evidence against us, or are you too busy trying to give your class ring to that woman you widowed?
Kendall: I have a ton of food for you for the Teen Center. The groceries are actually in the kitchen.
Ricky: Ok. I can grab them.
Kendall: Great.
Ricky: Ok.
[Cell phone ringing]
Kendall: Ricky. Hello. Reverend Torres' line. Hello? Who's there?
Griffin: See, right here, it says, "Sweetheart."
Tad: Well, even I knew Zach well enough to know he wouldn't use "Sweetheart."
Cara: Ok. Let me get this straight. You took this letter out of the trash after Kendall threw it away?
Griffin: Because she felt weird about it, like Zach was trying to send her some kind of message.
Cara: About what?
Griffin: Zach's business partners in the casinos. They're involved in shady stuff. He wanted out. They didn't want to sell.
Tad: How badly?
Griffin: That's the question.
Tad: Well, Griff, Zach's death was ruled an accident. What are you saying? You don't think it was?
Griffin: I'm not saying anything for sure except that this letter didn't sit right with Kendall. She couldn't get over it.
Cara: Ok. Well, then why did she throw it away?
Griffin: Because she convinced herself she was obsessing over nothing. She wanted to move on.
Cara: Ok. Well then, you know what? Hey, look at me. We should maybe let her, you know?
Griffin: Not if there's a chance Kendall is in danger.
Ryan: Anything? Annie has got to resurface sooner or later. I mean, she's running out of money. They can't stay on the run for much longer.
Greenlee: Everyone is on it. Everyone is on it -- the FBI, the police, everyone.
Ryan: I realize that, but I want to get out there. I want to do something personally.
Greenlee: I know. I know, but right now, we just have to be patient, ok?
[Doorbell rings]
Greenlee: What are you doing here?
Ryan: Did Emma try to contact you?
Madison: No. I just thought I should be close just in case.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Come on in.
Annie: Ok. Emma, it's ok to come out. Come on. Emma?
Emma: Mommy, I know this park. We're back in Pine Valley.
Annie: Shh. Hush, sweetheart. Mommy is thinking.
Emma: Did we come back to see everyone?
Annie: Do you remember what I told you about the people here? You can't trust any of them, ok, but we're gonna go on our big adventure. We just need to get a little more money first to do all the things that we want to do. So hopefully, somebody will be able to help us, but we have to be very, very careful. Oh, maybe that's our answer now. Go hide, ok? Um, excuse me, sir.
Griffin: I was hoping you could point me toward Zach's casino partners.
Tad: You really sure you want to get involved with people like this?
Cara: Yeah, Griff. I mean, shady casino partners? Really? I don't --
Griffin: You two, you're adorable, really, like an old married couple. Dad, Mom, I'll be fine.
Tad: If you want to dig into it, why don't you just ask Kendall?
Griffin: Because if there's nothing there, there's no point in worrying her. If there is, then I'll handle it, ok?
Cara: Hey, no. It's not ok. Why don't we let the police handle it?
Griffin: Because we already tried that route. Look, Cara. I know what I'm doing. Tad?
Tad: I'm on it.
Griffin: Thank you.
Cara: Ohh --
Tad: Hey, you know, I was gonna take a walk. You want to go with me?
Krystal: Uh, we need to talk.
Tad: Well, we can walk and talk, or we can talk and walk.
Krystal: I found an apartment.
Tad: You mean, you found an apartment? You're really serious about moving out?
Krystal: Could we have a minute?
Cara: Sure.
Krystal: Tad, you know I've been thinking about this, right? I mean, you're trying to sell this marriage, and you cannot do that with your ex-wife as your roommate.
Tad: I think I can.
Krystal: You think you can? Really? Cara was raised a strict Catholic, and with me hanging around here, the people at Immigration, they are gonna start to wonder what is going on.
Tad: I'll deal with it.
Krystal: You're not the only one who has to deal with it, Tad. Come on. The lies and the secrets is just not healthy. Kathy and Jenny, they at a very vulnerable age right now.
Tad: Whoa, whoa. Wait. Kathy and Jenny? What?
Krystal: Tad, they're sisters. They are sisters in every way that counts. I am not gonna separate them. It's the best way. Trust me. They're gonna come, and they're gonna live with me together. They're gonna visit you together, and it's all gonna be all right.
Tad: Huh. The hell it is. I'm sorry. I'm not letting you break up this family.
Ryan: So you found her? You found Annie?
Agent: Someone matching her description just rented a car outside Boston. She told the agent she's heading north.
Madison: Back to Canada.
Ryan: Yeah, or she's just trying to throw us off.
Agent: I'll fill in the local cops.
Ryan: Yeah. Right, right. Thank you. Hey, Madison, I appreciate you being here. I realize things have been kind of tense between us.
Madison: Well, that's what happens when -- surprise -- your ex tells you she's pregnant with your child.
Ryan: Right. I want to get past all that, which I why I want to let you know that as of now, the penthouse suite at the casino is completely available. So I would love you to --
Madison: Oh, forget it.
Annie: I wasn't expecting to see you. I don't want anybody to know that I'm here, and I wouldn't be here, except I need money, Scott, and I know I have absolutely no right to ask, but we were married once, and I know you care about Emma, so will you help me, please?
Man: Lady, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Annie: My God, you're not Scott. Get away from me.
Man: Aah!
Annie: I'm sorry. Oh, my God, I'm sorry. Why does this keep happening to me?
Man: Aah!
Annie: My God, I'm sorry. I have to take this.
Man: Hey! I'm calling the cops.
Emma: Mommy, are you ok?
Annie: Fine. We have to go. Come on. We have to go.
Kendall: Hello? Hello?
Diana: Sorry. It was just a surprise to hear a woman pick up Ricky's phone.
Kendall: Yeah. He just stepped out of the room.
Diana: That's so like him to forget his phone.
Kendall: Do you work with Reverend Torres?
Diana: Um, no. We're friends.
Ricky: Is that for me?
Kendall: Uh, yeah. It's a friend.
Ricky: Thank you.
Kendall: Mm-hmm.
Ricky: Hello?
Diana: Now you pick up.
Ricky: What are you doing?
Diana: Excuse me. Are you upset because you think I've ruined the plan, or are you worried that Kendall might think that you have a girlfriend?
Ricky: Don't push it.
[Knock on door]
Kendall: Griffin, hi.
Griffin: Hi.
Kendall: Hi. I thought you were going to let the healthy woman live her life.
Griffin: That's exactly why I'm here. Going out of town for the night, and I wanted you to have a list of emergency contact numbers just in case.
Kendall: Where you going?
Griffin: Going to New York for a fundraiser. There'll be a trillionaire or two there, and I thought it's a good opportunity to let them know about the Miranda Center expansion.
Kendall: Wait, wait, wait. You're going to a fundraiser. It doesn't sound like your thing.
Griffin: I know. I know. The thought of putting on a suit is brutal, but it's for a good cause.
Ricky: Hey, Doc, making another house call?
Kendall: Griffin is just going out of town. He just wanted to leave a list of contacts from the hospital.
Ricky: Oh. Where you headed?
Griffin: I'm coming back if that's what you're wondering. Anything comes up, these guys will take care of you.
Ricky: Oh, don't worry, Doc. I'll be around if she needs anything.
Kendall: Ok. I'm gonna make a phone call. You two get over yourselves before I come back.
Ricky: Yes, ma'am.
Griffin: Huh.
Ricky: You don't like me, and I get that, but we both care about Kendall, and you and me fighting is obviously stressing her out. So maybe we could just come up with a way to be -- I don't know -- civil, especially after yesterday.
Griffin: Yesterday?
Ricky: Kendall didn't tell you? Wow. I'm surprised. I mean, it was the best time that she's had in a while.
Griffin: Good for her.
Ricky: Yeah. Yeah. Good for her. I mean, for once, she didn't sit around just worrying about her heart.
Griffin: You gonna lecture me on Cardiology now?
Ricky: Oh, come on, Doc. Kendall is finally moving forward, and I'm gonna support her in that. I hope you will, too.
Kendall: Ok. So you friends now?
Krystal: We're talking about a couple of girls that are sisters, and I'm not gonna separate them, Tad. It's not fair.
Tad: I see what we've always had is unusual. Who cares if it works?
Opal: Come on. Come on, you two. Come on now. You can work this out.
Krystal: I am working it out. I am protecting two little girls -- and your wife, by the way. I got to get to work.
Cara: Well, that didn't sound so great.
Tad: Well, it's all right. Krystal and I, we care a lot about each other. It doesn't mean we don't fight like cats and dogs occasionally. Isn't that right, Ma?
Opal: Oh, oh, yes, sirree, Bob. They go at it like a couple of alley cats, clawing and scratching, but they always work it out in the end, don't they, because they love the girls.
Madison: I'm pregnant with your child, so you think you have to put me up or bankroll me? What kind of person do you think I am? Ok. That was a little harsh, but you need to understand something. Me being pregnant does not mean that you get to run my life.
Ryan: Ok. All right. I am not trying to run your life. I'm just trying to make it a little bit easier.
Madison: I told you, I can handle this. I want to handle this on my own.
Ryan: And I want to help. I will always want to help my own child.
Madison: I know that, and I respect it, but you have to respect me, too, ok? Scott and I are happy living where we are. We're sharing the rent. I'm supporting myself. This is how I want it to be.
Agent: All right. Couple of hours ago, gas station attendant outside Hartford pretty sure he saw Annie.
Ryan: Hold on a second. Hartford? That's south of Boston. What's she doing? She heading back to Pine Valley?
[Cell phone rings]
Ryan: Hello?
Brot: Hey, Ryan, it's Brot. I'm in Memorial Park with a man who just had his wallet stolen.
Ryan: Ok.
Brot: The perpetrator was a woman matching Annie's description, and she had a little girl with her.
Ryan: How sure are you?
Brot: Well, off the photo, he thinks it's her.
Ryan: Ok. I'll be right there.
Greenlee: They found Annie?
Ryan: Somebody in the park thought they saw Annie with Emma.
Greenlee: Well, I'm coming with you.
Madison: Good luck.
Annie: Ok. Stay here. Hello? Is anybody in there? Ok. Ok. Come on. Come on. Ok. We can stay here until we figure out our next move, ok?
Emma: Mommy, what if the man comes back?
Annie: He hurt his leg, so, honey, he's gonna be at the doctor's for a while. Ok. Look at me. Look at me. Everything is going to be ok, ok? So why don't you rest for a little while while Mommy goes and takes a shower?
Emma: Mommy, are you ok?
Annie: Yeah. I'm fine. Why do you ask?
Emma: Well, you thought the man was Scott.
Annie: Because he looked like Scott. That's why. Mommy just made a mistake.
Scott: Whoa, so Annie and Emma are really back in Pine Valley?
Madison: Looks that way.
Scott: Right.
Madison: Hoping my phone rings any minute with good news.
Scott: Yeah. Maybe it'll be the concierge at Ryan's casino letting you know that your suite is ready.
Madison: He got the message. I'm happy where I am.
Scott: Yeah. Me, too. Hmm. Mm.
Madison: What? What?
Scott: I don't know. Look at us turning down offers -- Chandler Mansion, casino penthouse -- because we want to stay at this dump that has creaky floors and clanging pipes.
Madison: Yeah. Well, it's our dump, and why can't everyone just back off, anyway?
Scott: Right? Just back off. Of course, by everyone, you mean Ryan.
Madison: Something about the way he made that offer just really bugged me, you know, like this is cute and everything. When I'm done fooling around here, he'll take over.
Scott: Right, right. Sounds like J.R., so dang patronizing.
Madison: Feel like they can tell us how to live our lives. Why, because they're rich, powerful? Where do they get off?
Scott: Right. Been there. Done that. Like we've never walked in their shoes. Come on.
Madison: Fabulously expensive shoes.
Scott: Yeah. In fact -- you know what? Next time, I'm gonna keep the shoes. I'm not gonna steal anything that forces me to lose my inheritance paying restitution.
Madison: Good plan.
Scott: Good plan, but you are in a different spot.
Madison: Yeah. Yeah. You're right.
[Clang clang]
Scott: The pipes. See? They think so.
Madison: Ha! Ok. So it's not a mansion or penthouse, but you know what? I feel richer then I've ever felt in my life because I'm free.
Scott: Hmm.
[Cell phone rings]
Madison: Ooh. Hello?
Emma: Madison.
Madison: Emma, is that you?
Emma: I'm worried about Mommy. Can I come see you?
Tad: I don't have to understand anything. There's nothing to understand. Damon is gone. Jamie is halfway around the world. I still lose sleep over what happened with Kathy.
Opal: Well, that was a horrible thing. Ain't no two ways about it, honey, but Kathy is here now. She's safe and sound.
Tad: And she's gonna stay that way, because I'm not losing either one of my girls.
Opal: You're not really gonna lose them, Tad.
Tad: All right. Then, Mom, I don't have to worry about making up some schedule, all right, about my responsibilities of picking them up and dropping them off or worry about missing half of their lives. That's not the kind of father I want to be.
Opal: I'm proud of you that you feel that way, but surely you can understand where Krystal is coming from, can't you?
Cara: Hoo! What I wouldn't kill for one of your cups of coffee.
Krystal: Ok.
Cara: Thanks.
Krystal: Mm-hmm.
Cara: You know what this kind of feels like? When I first came to town. You were the first person I met. You were very friendly.
Krystal: Cara, is there something you want, I mean, other than coffee?
Cara: I'm begging you not to move out.
Ricky: Everything is so cool that Griff here invited me to go on this mystery trip of his. Just kidding, although it never hurts to have one of God's servants as your copilots.
Griffin: Oh, I'll pass. I want to check your pulse, make sure there's nothing wrong before I leave just to make sure you're not stressed.
Ricky: I'm gonna grab those bags, put them in the car. I'll come back for the rest.
Kendall: Ok. All right. Thanks. Ok. Let's do this. Let's do this.
Griffin: Lift up your sleeve.
Kendall: Yes, sir.
Griffin: Take a deep breath.
Kendall: Ahem.
Ryan: So the woman who stole your wallet, she definitely called you Scott.
Man: She said we used to be married.
Ryan: I mean, that seals it, right? It's got to be Annie. And the little girl that was with her, did she seem ok? Did she seem frightened at all?
Brot: Ryan, I need to get him to the hospital.
Ryan: Ok. All right. Look. If we want to get in touch with you, what's the best way for us to do that?
Man: I'm staying at the Beacon Hotel, Room 124.
Greenlee: So what happens now?
Brot: Well, we're searching the area and watching any place Annie might go.
Ryan: Emma was right here. She was just here. We got to find her.
Greenlee: At least we know Emma is safe.
Ryan: You kidding me? Annie looked at this guy, and she called him Scott. Who knows what she sees when she looks at Emma?
Madison: Emma, sweetie, everything is gonna be ok.
Emma: Mommy thought the man was Scott.
Madison: Well, Scott is with me, and we're gonna help you, ok? Emma, I just need to know where you are.
Emma: In Pine Valley.
Madison: Where exactly?
Emma: I don't know.
Madison: Well, do you see anything around you, anything you recognize, anything at all?
Emma: Mommy took a key from the man. It looks like a credit card.
Madison: You mean like a hotel key?
Emma: I have to go.
Madison: No, no, no. Wait, Emma. Emma. Oh -- I'm calling Ryan.
Scott: Ok.
Ryan: Hello?
Madison: Hi. I just spoke to Emma.
Ryan: What? Well, what did she say?
Madison: Well, they're in town, but she wasn't sure exactly where they were, except she did know that Annie took a key card from someone that she thought was Scott.
Ryan: Oh, my God, Madison, this is great. Thank you so much. Your wallet. When your wallet was stolen, did it have your hotel key in it?
Man: Yes.
Greenlee: Beacon Hotel, Room 124.
Ryan: Yeah.
Annie: Hey, did you get some good rest?
Emma: Well, Mommy, I'm worried. Did that man hurt you?
Annie: No. No. Sweetheart. He didn't hurt me at all, ok? I'll tell you what. Why don't you go take a shower, and I will go find us some food, and then we can talk about where we're gonna go on our next exciting adventure. Does that sound good? Ok. Ok.
Emma: See you soon.
Annie: Ok. Ok, ok, ok. This should last us for a while.
[Door handle rattles]
Annie: Emma. Emma, sweetheart, somebody is outside. I want you to hide. Find a good hiding spot and stay there, ok, and then they'll go away. Go hide.
Ryan: Stand back. Where is Emma?
Annie: You scared me.
Ryan: Where is she?
Annie: She's taking a shower. Ryan, give her some privacy.
Ryan: Emma, it's ok. It's Daddy. You don't have to hide anymore. What? She's not in there.
Annie: Of course, she is.
Ryan: Stop lying!
Annie: I'm not lying!
Ryan: I'm calling the cops.
Annie: No. No. No cops. No cops, ok? No cops or no doctors. Please, Ryan. They'll take me away. Please don't let them do that, please. Look, look. I know that you hate me, and you're trying to make me pay, but I --
Ryan: I don't hate you. I don't. Don't hate you. I just want my daughter back. That's all. That's all I want, ok? Look. We can figure this out together. We can, just you and me.
Annie: Nobody else?
Ryan: No. No. Nobody else.
Annie: I'm scared.
Ryan: I know. I know, and I know that you love Emma. I know that. I know. I know you want to keep her safe, and I'm gonna keep you safe, ok?, I promise you. Just tell me where my little girl is.
[Greenlee enters the room]
Annie: This is how you keep me safe?
Madison: Maybe I should go, you know, be there when Ryan finds Emma.
Scott: Oh, I think he's gonna call you if he needs you.
Madison: I hope Emma won't be mad at me for calling him.
Scott: She is not gonna be mad at you. Madison, you did the right thing.
Madison: How come you're not mad at me?
Scott: Me? Why would I be mad at you?
Madison: Because my baby is playing ping pong with my hormones. First, I attack Ryan for trying to do something nice, and then I get all paranoid about whether or not I should make this phone call. I'm all over the place.
Scott: Yeah. Well, who wouldn't be, I mean, with everything that you got going on right now? Now just take a deep breath and know that everything is gonna be just fine, because it will. I believe in you, Madison North, hormones and all.
Opal: I know it isn't much consolation, but I'm afraid you still got me.
Tad: Don't be ridiculous. You know what that means. Life wouldn't be the same if I didn't roll down in the morning and see you in curlers with slime all over your face.
Opal: Hey, that is not slime.
Tad: Is it slime.
Opal: It's not slime. It is mud. It's very expensive mud. It's imported from Italy.
Tad: It's green.
Opal: Keeps me looking young.
Tad: You're missing the point. The point is, I love having you here. I love having everybody here, including Krystal. I made the decision to marry Cara, and I accept responsibility for that. I just think you might be right. I just didn't think over everything it might cost me.
Opal: Well, someday Jenny and Kathy are gonna be old enough to understand what their daddy did, and then they are gonna be as proud of you as I am.
Tad: Unfortunately, I'll probably be dead. What am I supposed to do in the meantime?
Opal: You just keep loving them the best you can. That's all.
Tad: I'm some kind of fool, you know? I don't know what I was thinking. I assumed I could have it all. I could save Cara, have my family intact. God, as much as I hate to admit it, something may have to give.
Cara: What your family has done for me, it's incredible. You sacrificed enough. I can't let Tad be separated from his children. I can't drive you out of your own home.
Krystal: And we can't stay. It's too dangerous. It's too confusing for the girls, and it's too dangerous for you.
Cara: Ok. Look. When I was 8 years old, my dad took off, all right, and my mother, she was devastated, but she found this way to go on. Ok. It was uncomfortable with the neighbors. They were judging her. She saw the looks and stuff, but you know what? It didn't matter, because we were still a family without him.
Krystal: I have spent my whole life not giving a damn what the nosy neighbors felt about me, but this is bigger than that, Cara. This is the United States government. This is two women, one husband. That ain't gonna fly.
Cara: Look. I am not saying this is gonna be easy, ok? It's just not impossible, and I promise you, Krystal, I will do everything in my power to help you and your children.
Krystal: And you really think that you can sell this situation? You can sell us as is to the Feds?
Cara: Look. I've spent most of my adult life chasing the action, looking for the next rush, and I can honestly tell you to date that I am happy to be grounded, that I'm happy that I don't have to catch a flight or I have to unpack my bags. I actually love waking up and knowing where I am surrounded by a wonderful and loving family. Immigration will believe me when I say that this is what I want because -- you know what? It's the truth.
Griffin: Your pulse is normal.
Kendall: I told you.
Griffin: Well, must be all that fun you've been having raging yesterday. That's what Ricky said.
Kendall: Oh, raging. Yes. Yes. I was playing a raging game of tag. I'm sure you would've found it very lame.
Griffin: For sure, after I kicked everyone's ass.
Kendall: You really need to work on your self-esteem, not be so modest.
Griffin: Ok, ok. I'm glad you let loose a little. It's good for your heart.
Kendall: Wait a minute. Did you just say I did something right?
Griffin: And I regret it already.
Kendall: Ok. Even though you said I've been doing a great job taking care of myself, which I have, I think it was really sweet of you to check on me.
Griffin: It's no big deal.
Kendall: Yes, yes, yes. Griffin Castillo -- a heart surgeon by day who makes house calls. By night, he's helping women and children in need --
Griffin: Oh, that's me.
Kendall: Not to mention the whole Robin Hood thing -- stealing antibiotics from the hospital, shipping them overseas to people who can't afford them. That's huge.
Griffin: Which I'm gonna pay back as soon as you sell the casinos, and you write me that check.
Kendall: All kidding aside, thank you for helping me and the Miranda Center.
Griffin: It's my job. See you when I get back.
Kendall: All right. Have a good trip.
Griffin: Ok.
Ricky: Safe travels, Doc.
Cara: Griff --
Griffin: I'll see you when I get back. Don't do anything I wouldn't do or I would do.
Cara: Wait. Stop. Just will you please, please stop? You're really gonna do this, look into this whole casino business Kendall mess?
Griffin: I'm looking out for a friend.
Cara: Ok. Wait a minute. Just -- patients are friends now? Because what happened to "Sew it up, move on," you know, your motto?
Griffin: I owe it to Zach, his kids.
Cara: To get involved with potentially dangerous people, because of some feeling about the letter?
Griffin: Ok. When Kendall first told me about the letter, I thought she was nuts trying to figure out some nonexistent threats in her dead husband's last letter, but she told me I didn't understand it because I've never been in love.
Cara: What does that have to do with anything?
Griffin: The bond that Kendall and Zach had, when she read the letter, she felt it. What?
Cara: What happened to the man of science, you know, evidence, facts?
Griffin: Nothing.
Cara: Nothing?
Griffin: The bond between two people, it's beyond logic, beyond reason. Don't look at me like that, because you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Kendall: So -- who was that sexy woman on the phone?
Ricky: I wouldn't call her sexy.
Kendall: Oh, don't let her hear you say that. She sounded very interested.
Ricky: The woman is just a parishioner who likes to flirt. Besides, she's not my type.
[Cell phone rings]
Ricky: Ah. Sorry.
Kendall: Mm-hmm. No problem.
Ricky: Hello? No. Again? I'll look into it today, all right? Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Bye.
Kendall: What's wrong?
Ricky: Nothing. That was just the director at the Teen Center. She was looking into something for me.
Kendall: What?
Ricky: Some of the kids are buying drugs, pills, off the street. We finally found out where they're coming from -- Pine Valley Hospital.
Madison: Is there some web site you go to, lists all the right things to say and do for a woman?
Scott: No. There's a book that I read, yeah, and -- no. Listen. I don't always know the right words to say, but I'm just looking out after you, ok, but I'm not looking too far, because I know that you are a strong, independent, beautiful woman who doesn't need anyone to back her up.
Madison: I do need support. All the other men in my life -- my father, my husband, Ryan -- they just didn't really understand what that really meant, you know? Look. Ryan is nothing like my father, and I know that he genuinely cares about me, but his way of showing it is just to come to the rescue, even if it means making my decisions for me.
Scott: You don't think that I --
Madison: Not at all.
Scott: Ok.
Madison: No. You're different. You support me and care for me. You don't control me. You're just there.
Greenlee: I'm sorry, Annie. I was just leaving.
Annie: You're a liar. You're all a bunch of liars! What is she doing here?
Ryan: Easy, easy.
Annie: No. You lied. You lied. You said that I could trust you. You said that this was gonna be between you and me. So why is she here?
Ryan: Ok. Everything is gonna be ok, Annie. It's gonna be ok.
Annie: No. You stabbed me in the back. You stabbed me in the back. I would never do that to you.
Greenlee: You stole his daughter.
Annie: No. No. No. You are all trying to trick me. You're all trying to trick me so that you can lock me up. I can't trust you. I can't trust Marissa. I can't trust J.R. Marissa has turned you all against me.
Ryan: No, not me. Not me.
Annie: Yes, you.
Ryan: I'm on your side, Annie. I'm on your side, whatever you want. Whatever you want, I will give it to you. You want money, I'll give you money. You want a place to stay, I'll give you that. Why don't we take Emma for a couple days just until you get on your feet?
Annie: No. You're lying. You want to put me in a padded cell, and then you will leave me there, because everybody always leaves me.
Ryan: Listen to me. It's ok. Listen to me, ok? You are the mother of my little girl, ok? Ok. That bonds us together for life, for life, ok? I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you. I'm not. I'm gonna help you, ok? I am. Now, running -- running hasn't been very easy lately, has it?
Annie: No.
Ryan: Probably hasn't been easy for little Emma, either. She's just a little girl, right? She's a little girl we love more than anything else in the whole world, right? Right? So right now is the time to put everything else aside. We just got to put it aside and do what's best for Emma, ok? You got to tell me where Emma is.
Tad: Hey.
Krystal: Hey.
Tad: Listen. Can I just give you a couple ways where I think this might work?
Krystal: Just save your breath.
Tad: What, you're not even gonna hear me out?
Krystal: I don't need to. I'm staying.
Tad: What changed your mind?
Krystal: Your wife.
Griffin: I'm made of steel. Bullets bounce off of me.
Cara: Mm-hmm.
Griffin: You know how my worrying about you drives you crazy?
Cara: How far you willing to take this?
Griffin: I made a promise to keep Kendall alive. I won't break it.
Kendall: Pills? What kind of pills?
Ricky: Painkillers. Some of the kids got busted, and they're looking at hard time, but I know most of these kids, and I can't figure out how they could get controlled substances out of a secure hospital like PVH. You don't know anything about this, do you?
Kendall: Me?
Ricky: Yeah. You look like you wanted to say something, and if you do, please say it.
Scott: Wow, I've never been told that I was just there before. That is deep.
Madison: I didn't mean it as a bad thing.
Scott: No, no. I know. There is good, right, because, well, if you're not there, then where are you? See? Deep.
Madison: What I meant was, you don't overshadow me. You don't make me feel useless and small. It's like we're on even ground, you know, equals, partners.
Scott: Yeah.
Madison: I never had that with anyone before. I really want to kiss you.
Scott: But because of last time --
Madison: Yeah.
Scott: Then allow me.
Annie: Finally, it can be over. Emma is right there.
Ryan: Where?
Annie: Hiding behind the couch. Come on out, silly goose.
