Ryan: What is it? What's wrong?
Greenlee: Here we are together again -- like this.
Ryan: Yeah, you can believe it. [Kissing]
Greenlee: I can't.
Jack: Yes, I promise you. As soon as I hang up the phone with you, Erica, I will pack up all this work, and I'll go to bed. Yes, I love you, too.
[Doorbell rings]
Jack: Greenlee? Hi.
Krystal: I thought you could use some sustenance.
Jack: You didn't have to do that.
Krystal: Really? Knowing you, Jack, you haven't eaten since breakfast. You didn't have breakfast, did you?
Jack: Greenlee flew out of here yesterday.
Krystal: In the middle of a trial?
Jack: Yes.
Krystal: It doesn't take a paralegal to know that that's breaking the law.
Jack: Yes. A big law. But she and Ryan -- they have a big plan.
Krystal: She's with Ryan? Why are they running? Is she that sure she's gonna be convicted?
Jack: She's got it in her mind that if they can find my ex-star witness, that they can convince him to admit that David Hayward poisoned himself, get Greenlee off the hook.
Krystal: Wait a minute. But isn't that Pearson guy the one who got her back on the hook?
Jack: Yes, he is. Yes. It's a long shot. That's all we've got, because I let my daughter down.
Krystal: Jack, no matter what happens, you've done an amazing job.
Jack: Really? How amazing a job could I have done if I can't save my own daughter?
Jake: Ooh, my car! I bet you that David dug that hole out of revenge.
Amanda: You think that David dug a pothole in the hospital parking lot before he died, knowing that you'd run over it and screw up your car?
Jake: That's exactly what I think, yes. I would not put that past him for doing such a thing like that.
Amanda: Honey, why don't you go check on your patients, and I'll call a tow truck.
Jake: No, don't call a tow truck. I'm gonna get under the car. I'm gonna fix the thing connected to the --
Amanda: Like I said, tow truck.
Jake: Yeah?
Amanda: Mm-hmm.
Frankie: Oh, my goodness. Nobody told me it was bring your wife to work day.
Jake: Yes, it's bring your wife to work day. Did you call Randi? Did you call her? No, you better not call her, because the distractions are too beautiful. We'd never get work done.
Frankie: Yeah, speaking of work, what's this rumor I'm hearing about someone from Doctors Without Borders trying to lure you away from here?
Amanda: Don't worry. He's not going anywhere. He's way too happy. We both are.
Frankie: Well, good to know. Now maybe we can get him to do some work around here. I got some patient charts I need to review with you.
Jake: You do? More?
Frankie: Yeah, a whole lot more.
Jake: All right. I'm all yours.
Amanda: Bye. [Kiss] Oh, my God. I'm so sorry.
Griffin: Don't be.
Tad: Thank you very much.
Liza: Oh. Got a hot date?
Tad: Well, that depends, if you consider having a soft drink with my mother hot. I know I'm ecstatic. Any word from the jury?
Liza: No. No, not yet. But I'm pretty confident they're gonna come back and convict Greenlee, and, apparently, it seems like she is, too.
Tad: And how do you know that?
Liza: Oh, gee, I don't know. Maybe because she skipped bail and ran off with Ryan.
Tad: You don't know that for a fact.
Liza: No, but you do. Now that I'm looking at you, I'm beginning to think that you know exactly where they are.
Greenlee: It's not you.
Ryan: Ok. Then what is it?
Greenlee: I want to be with you, but we've been here before.
Ryan: I think I'd remember this place.
Greenlee: Don't make me laugh.
Ryan: Ok. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's just -- it feels -- it just feels so right to me, and I think it feels right to you.
Greenlee: It does. It feels too right. But we've had this ripped away from us so many times before, and I don't know if I can handle getting close and then losing you all over again.
Ryan: I understand that. The risk is there. There's -- there's no guarantees, there's no promises that really count, except for the promise that I'm gonna make to you right now.
Frankie: So out of nowhere, your ex-wife Carolyn sends you an e-mail about a possible job opening on the other side of the world?
Jake: Look, Frankie, I haven't heard from Cara in a very, very long time. There is not one single piece of me that's even considering that position.
Frankie: Seriously, Jake, if this is something you want to do, my mother would never hold you back.
Jake: I know your mom wouldn't. I know that from the bottom of my heart. Ok? But believe me when I tell you I'm not going anywhere.
Frankie: Why? Because of how things ended in Africa? The kidnapping?
Jake: That's a whole part of my life that I really don't care to revisit.
Frankie: If you ever want to talk about it -- and if you ever change your mind, I'm here. I kind of owe you. You did a lot to help my mom when she was sick.
Jake: Frankie, you don't owe me anything.
Frankie: We both know that's not true.
[Pager chimes]
Jake: Oh. The E.R.
Frankie: Well, let's go.
Griffin: Texting and walking. That's very dangerous.
Amanda: Yeah. I smacked right into a telephone pole yesterday.
Griffin: I bet that was the pole's fault. Those things just pop out of nowhere.
Amanda: Tell me about it.
Griffin: Do you need medical attention? We're in a hospital.
Amanda: No. I think I'm good.
Griffin: You look pretty good to me.
Amanda: Careful. My husband's right down the hall. He hears you hitting on me, you might be the one that needs the medical attention.
Griffin: Is that what that ring's about?
Amanda: Yes. I am a married woman. I actually need to call the auto club about my husband's car, so --
Griffin: You want me to take a look?
Amanda: Are you a mechanic?
Griffin: Pretty much. I'm very good at fixing things.
Tad: What proof do you have that Ryan and Greenlee went anywhere?
Liza: Do you really want to do this?
Tad: Why don't you tell me what we're doing, and I'll let you know.
Liza: Ok. So a private jet left Pine Valley last night without a flight plan, and the pilot gave me a pretty detailed description of a couple on board. Do the words "big doe eyes" mean anything to you?
Tad: So even if she was on the plane, you automatically assume that Greenlee is running?
Liza: The jet landed in California.
Tad: Exactly.
Liza: Right. That's where Nick Pearson apparently went after he left town. They probably have some sort of desperate idea to think that he can still somehow save the day, even though I obliterated his story on the stand.
Tad: How do you know there isn't more to the story? How do you know that she wasn't set up?
Liza: She's really gonna prove that by going on the lam? You know what? It doesn't matter, because they are gonna find her, and she's gonna be in that courtroom when the jury declares her guilty.
Opal: Well, aren't you just the cat that ate the canary, Ms. Colby.
Tad: You do sound fairly proud, that's for sure.
Opal: Well, it's just a case, though, right? I mean, no matter that we're talking about people's lives, so long as you get your trophy.
Liza: You do know you don't get a trophy for winning a case, right? I'm the district attorney. My job is to make sure that justice is served.
Opal: Justice? For David Hayward? Are you kidding?
Liza: He was a man, and he was a father.
Opal: Yeah, about as good a father as you were a mother.
Tad: Ma, don't.
Liza: I'm getting mother advice from you, right? So how many times did you try to exploit your daughter for the good of no one but yourself?
Opal: How dare you. How dare you speak the name of my sweet Jenny, especially when you were the one that caused her all her pain in the first place. Why, you are just as ruthless and nasty as you ever were!
Tad: Ma, that's enough.
Opal: Yeah, it is enough. And just you better thank your lucky stars that you dumped her when you did, because she isn't worth the ground that she walks on!
Liza: Just go.
Tad: You do know you're on the wrong side, right? You've got to feel that.
Liza: Greenlee's husband is dead, and not only is she the number one suspect in this murder case, but she just left town with the guy that she killed him for. Ah. It doesn't matter, though, right? At least I know where we stand. [Walks out]
Tad: It's not gonna get any cleaner, Ma. Why don't you dig in? You told me you were hungry.
Opal: I kind of lost my appetite talking to that snake in corporate clothes.
Tad: Come on. Don't let her --
Opal: I'm telling you she's a self-serving, back-stabbing, ruthless, nasty witch --
Tad: Hey, come on. Listen. I mean it. I want you to take a breath and calm down.
Opal: Yeah.
Tad: You can't let somebody like that get to you.
Opal: Why do you think I'm so upset that she got to me like that?
Tad: Why do you think I'm so upset? With your heart condition, I'm amazed you're willing to talk to anybody who pushes your buttons as much as Liza does. Ma?
Opal: I'm just feeling a little funny. That's all. It's all right.
Tad: You don't look so good. I'm taking you to the hospital. No. That's it. Come on. I'm here. I'm taking you whether you like it or not. Come on. Come on.
Jack: Everyone warned me not to represent my own daughter.
Krystal: Jack, no way were you gonna let anyone else take her case, because nobody can protect her like you can.
Jack: Maybe somebody else could've protected her better, somebody who was more objective. Under normal circumstances, I would never put my client on the stand to testify on their own behalf in a murder trial.
Krystal: Greenlee has the will of an elephant. There's no way you could've stopped her.
Jack: I should've tried harder. You know, I should've been not thinking as her father. I should've been thinking as her attorney, because, as a lawyer, I knew that Liza was gonna just mop the floor with her!
Krystal: You just have to give yourself a break. Ok? Nobody could do as good by your daughter as you have, and I know that Greenlee believes that.
Greenlee: I love what you want to do, Ryan. But how can you promise things that go beyond us?
Ryan: Because it's not beyond us. In fact, it's something that we've never had before. This is like a pledge from me to you that I have complete and total control over.
Greenlee: What?
Ryan: The first time when we got married, we let the minister use his standard vows, and that was fine, right, because we weren't getting married for love, and that made complete sense. Then the second time a few years ago, it was for real, and so I wrote my own vows.
Greenlee: You did?
Ryan: I thought about them just about every single day since then. It was Valentine's Day, so I wrote them on the back of a Valentine, and I memorized them. I never gave you a solemn promise, a pledge from my heart, and I want to give that to you right now.
Amanda: Do you take a check, because I have some cash, but --
Griffin: What are you doing?
Amanda: I'm paying you for fixing the car.
Griffin: It's not fixed. It's just drivable.
Amanda: That's a lot better than it was, so come on. How much do I owe you?
Griffin: I'd say a dinner, but you'd probably just bring up that husband of yours again.
Amanda: Yeah, I think you might have a problem with that.
Griffin: The guy's really starting to get on my nerves, but he does have a really nice car, though.
Amanda: Are you sure I can't pay you anything?
Griffin: Nah. I do it for the love.
Amanda: Ok. Well, thank you.
Griffin: De nada.
Amanda: So is your shop around here?
Griffin: I don't have a shop. I'm all over the place, really, wherever they need me.
Amanda: All right. I should probably go check on my husband.
Griffin: He's not sick, I hope?
Amanda: Oh, no. He's a doctor.
Griffin: Oh. Lucky you.
Amanda: Definitely lucky me.
Griffin: Yeah, I'd say he had some good luck, too.
Amanda: You always do that?
Griffin: What?
Amanda: Come on to married women?
Griffin: Only when they look like you.
Jack: What the hell are you doing here?
Liza: I'm only here to ask you to get a message to Greenlee. I'm assuming you're in contact with her.
Jack: Liza, you know if I accept a message for Greenlee, that implies I know her whereabouts.
Liza: Of course, you do.
Krystal: What is your problem, Liza?
Liza: No problem. No problem. You know better than anyone, Jack, that you can't make it personal when you're the D.A.
Jack: Oh, but you did make it personal, Liza. That's exactly what you did!
Liza: I know that you are extremely sensitive, because this is your daughter.
Krystal: Wait a minute. I seem to remember you in my restaurant a little over a month ago being extra sensitive because of the mess your daughter's life was in.
Liza: That's a completely different situation.
Krystal: No. Your child was in trouble, and you wanted to help, same as Jack. This man has not eaten or slept in days. He's been fighting these vultures who call themselves reporters just so his daughter can have a little peace. Well, she's got some, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna let you ruin it. So do everybody a favor, ok, and you take your well-suited behind and go deliver your message to someone who gives a damn!
Ryan: I know this is not a chapel, and I know we don't have an official here, but -- really, we just reconnected, but I need to say this. This is how I feel.
Greenlee: Wait. You kneel over here. Come on. And I will kneel, like this.
Ryan: See? You inspire me new vows every minute.
Greenlee: Let's just stick with the good ones, ok?
Ryan: It's amazing because I look at you, and it feels like you already know the words that are about to come out of my mouth, because we know each other so well. But some things -- they need to be said, and I think they need to be heard and they need to be believed. I love you, and I vow to always love you. I vow to always love you and to cherish you more than I already do, and for better or for worse. We know those words so well, but it's because we've been through hell and back. We know how strong we are together. And I promise you that we will last, and no matter what happens, no matter what, you won't lose me. Ever. It's like our names are -- they're written in stone or a diamond or -- or a moonstone.
Greenlee: A moonstone?
Ryan: A moonstone. We belong together, my partner, my bride, my green butterfly. And there's gonna be things that come up that'll try to keep us apart from each other, but there's nothing that can keep me from you, nothing that can keep me from loving you. That is my vow. That is my promise to you.
Greenlee: It's my turn.
Ryan: You don't have to.
Greenlee: Are you kidding? Yes, I do. Ryan, our relationship has been one adventure.
Ryan: That's a pretty good word for it.
Greenlee: One adventure after another. And no matter how emotional or nerve-racked or infuriating you can be, a part of me always knew that if things got really bad, I could turn to you. I believe your promise. I put faith in it. I can base my life on it. And I promise to be as supportive and strong and protective to you as you've been to me. That's my vow to you.
Amanda: I really should be going, but thank you again for your help.
Griffin: Anytime.
Amanda: Oh. I never even got your name.
Griffin: I noticed.
Tad: Could we get a little help here, please, quick?
Opal: I can't get my breath!
Griffin: Do you have pain in your arm, tightness?
Opal: Uh-huh. Yeah.
Griffin: When did the symptoms start?
Opal: A little while ago.
Griffin: Ok. Get her a chair. Everything's gonna be fine.
Tad: Who's this guy?
Amanda: He's a mechanic.
Griffin: Ok. I need you to breathe slowly and deeply.
Tad: Does anybody know this guy?
Amanda: I just met him.
Griffin: That's it. That's it. You're doing great. Doing great.
Opal: Ohh!
Tad: Hey, what are you doing?
Opal: Oh, it's cold. It's cold.
Frankie: Any blood work back yet?
Jake: I got Evelyn spinning a crit right now.
Frankie: I was supposed to be in admitting an hour ago.
Jake: Do what you got to do. When I get the results back from the CAT scan, I'll give you a little buzz.
Frankie: All right.
Jake: All right? Hang in there, buddy.
Griffin: It's called a diving reflex. The temperature of the ice slows the heart rate back down to its normal rhythm. You get her in a cubicle and call me an attending. I need an echo cardiogram, and EKG, and a stress test, stat.
Tad: Thanks, I think.
Amanda: Why did you let me think you were a mechanic?
Griffin: I am, kind of. It's just usually I fix hearts.
Ryan: I mean, it's not gonna be as strong as the ring I gave to you last time.
Greenlee: Or as beautiful as my moonstone engagement ring.
Ryan: Yes, that's right. I give you this ring, Greenlee, as a symbol of the promises that I made to you tonight.
Greenlee: And I give you this ring as a symbol of the promises I made to you tonight. [Kissing]
Liza: Why, exactly, am I being treated like the bad guy here? I'm not the one that broke the law.
Krystal: What part of "take your well-suited behind and go" doesn't register, Liza?
Liza: So does everyone with a southern accent just hate my guts? Is that it?
Krystal: Opal and I just happen to be a couple of gals who can't help but tell it like it is.
Jack: Krystal, you don't have to do this.
Liza: I'm the district attorney of this town. My job is to see that justice is served.
Krystal: Oh, put a sock in that Pollyanna routine. The only reason why you're gunning for Greenlee like some overwrought barracuda is you're trying to make a name for yourself!
Liza: Contrary to popular belief, I am not out for blood. That jury is coming back any day now, and it would look very, very bad if they come back and she is not in that courtroom.
[Phone rings]
Krystal: Saved by the bell.
Liza: I think you're gonna want to hear this one. Yeah, Doris, what is it? Thanks. Yeah, I know. The jury's back. They've made their decision.
[In the beach cave, Greenlee and Ryan continue kissing]
Griffin: You have what is called paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
Opal: Paroxy-what?
Tad: Now in English.
Griffin: PSVT. Symptoms usually include heart palpitations, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, weakness, anxiety.
Opal: I got that.
Frankie: That's impressive, Dr. --
Griffin: You can call me Griffin. "Frank Hubbard," related to Chief of Staff Hubbard.
Frankie: It's Franklin, and, yes.
Griffin: I'm guessing this is the part where the big guns come in and rail me for treating a patient at your hospital without being credentialed here?
Frankie: Could've opened this place up to a lawsuit.
Griffin: Oh, yeah. No question.
Frankie: There's a reason why hospitals have rules.
Griffin: Don't I know it. I'm a rebel, a maverick, and you don't like rebels, because they get people killed. They don't follow rules.
Frankie: Is this guy gonna stop anytime soon?
Tad: Don't look at me. I think he's having fun.
Griffin: I've heard it all before, Dr. Hubbard.
Frankie: Good. Then I'll just say "Nice job."
Griffin: Really?
Frankie: Yeah. Opal's very important to us, and from what I can tell, you've given her excellent care.
Griffin: I knew you were special the moment you walked in here. I couldn't let anything happen to you, Opal.
Opal: Did you just save my life, or have I died and gone to hunk heaven?
Jake: So this guy fixes my car, and he fixes Opal, all in the same day, huh?
Amanda: I didn't even know he was a doctor.
Jake: Well, maybe Angie will put him on the payroll.
Amanda: He's definitely not what you would expect from a cardiac surgeon.
Jake: What do you want? A sociopath like our old friend Dave?
Amanda: I just mean he's --
Jake: He's what? You know what? Why don't we just go thank him? Can we do that? Let's go thank him.
Amanda: All right.
Jack: That was fast.
Krystal: Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Jack: No way to know.
Liza: I guess I'll see you guys bright and early tomorrow. Jack, make sure that Greenlee's in that courtroom.
Jack: Wow. That verdict came in quickly. There wasn't much deliberation there.
Krystal: Maybe it's because the jury is sure she's not guilty. Is there anything I can do?
Jack: Yes, there is, Krystal. Go get my daughter and bring her back.
Krystal: I wish I could. Who are you calling?
Jack: Kendall. She's the one person that may be able to reach Greenlee. Ken -- voice mail. Kendall, it's Jack. Do me a favor. Try to reach Greenlee, please, for me? Let her know she needs to call me. The verdict came in. Damn it.
Krystal: She'll call, Jack.
Jack: I got to find her tonight.
[Ryan and Greenlee remove their clothes while kissing in the beach cave, then lie together in the afterglow]
Singer: Only you you were my world only you could have my soul everlasting undeniable true love never-ending it was pure, beautiful my greatest joy my sweetest friend it was you
Jack: I'm out of options. I got to go look for her myself.
Krystal: No, Jack.
Jack: Keep trying to get ahold of Tad. He'll at least give us a starting place.
Krystal: You're not gonna find her in time!
Jack: Then I guess I'm just gonna have to get a postponement, aren't I?
Krystal: You think you can do that?
Jack: I don't know, Krystal! I don't know! I know I have to do something, or I'm gonna be looking at my daughter going to prison for the rest of her life for a crime -- come here.
[Jack hugs Krystal tightly]
Greenlee: I thought I'd lost you forever. When I married David, I convinced myself that I'd let you go, but in my heart I never did. Now to be in your arms --
Ryan: What?
Greenlee: I just never thought I'd be this happy again.
Ryan: Me neither. But I am, and right now I don't want to think about anything else other than us. [Kissing]
Amanda: Hey.
Jake: Hi. I'm sorry about that.
Amanda: That's ok. Did you meet him?
Jake: I couldn't because I had a staff meeting. I got beeped at the last second.
Amanda: Ohh. Sounds like our plans for our romantic evening just went bust.
Jake: No, that's not true. Not necessarily.
Amanda: Listen, I understand if you have to bail, but just make sure and check on Opal.
Jake: Yes, I'll check on Opal, but our plans -- we have a babysitter, and we have a car that works. It's a perfectly functioning car, so we can go anywhere we want, right, because we're golden.
Tad: It looks like you're a lifesaver, Dr. --
Griffin: Castillo. But you can call me Griffin.
Opal: Well, we got to hire this guy. He ups the cute doctor quotient by about 150%, and that's saying a lot around here.
Frankie: Dr. Castillo is no ordinary doctor here.
Tad: You know him?
Frankie: I know his reputation.
Griffin: Which reputation?
Frankie: You're an amazing cardiac surgeon.
Griffin: Oh, good. That one.
Tad: So what brings you to Pine Valley?
Griffin: Business. I figured while I was taking care of it, I'd visit my old mentor, Dr. David Hayward.
Opal: You got to be kidding.
Tad: Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.
Griffin: Am I missing something?
Frankie: I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Dr. Hayward's gone.
Griffin: Did he move on already? That guy could never stay in one place for too long.
Tad: Ha ha! That's one way of putting it.
Frankie: Dr. Hayward's no longer with us.
Griffin: You mean he's dead? When did this happen?
Frankie: Recently. It's been on the news and in the papers.
Griffin: I've been out of the country for a couple of years now. I didn't know.
Tad: So I guess you hadn't heard that your mentor, Dr. Hayward, had made quite a name for himself here in town?
Griffin: He was a brilliant surgeon, taught me everything I know, including that technique that just saved your mother's life.
Tad: It's nice to know he was good for something.
Jack: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Krystal: For what? For leaning on a friend?
Jack: You've been a hell of a good friend. This whole thing with Greenlee, it's just got me.
Krystal: I know. I know.
Jack: It's just got me. Yeah. Huh. The way you lit into Liza, you were -- you were amazing.
Krystal: Ok, look. Enough with the gratitude now. The thing we have to do is to pray that Greenlee comes back before those 12 men and women hit the jury box tomorrow.
[Phone rings]
Krystal: Oh. That's my phone. It's Tad.
Ryan: One day I want to wake up with you in my arms and just forget that the last two years even happened.
Greenlee: No. I don't want to forget. I never want to forget David and all the times I pushed you away. I never want to forget all the times I told you to leave me alone.
Ryan: Why?
Greenlee: So I'll never take you for granted again.
Ryan: Ok. So then we remember what went wrong, so it never happens again.
Greenlee: It never will.
Ryan: I predict at this time tomorrow, we'll have Pearson, and we'll have the evidence that we need, and we'll be on our way back to Pine Valley.
Greenlee: As much as I want this to be over, a part of me wishes we could stay here forever.
Ryan: We can't stay forever, but we got tonight.
Greenlee: You're right. We do have tonight, and it's been perfect.
Ryan: It's not over yet.
Greenlee: Well, I'll always remember it as the best night of my entire life. The most romantic, amazing night ever. Oh, my God. It can't be.
Ryan: What? What is it?
Greenlee: A sign.
Opal: So did you talk to Dr. Delicious?
Jake: Doctor --
Opal: Yeah, that hottie that saved me.
Jake: Right. No, I missed him.
Opal: Oh, he is a man full of coconut cake with buttercream icing!
Jake: Really? Well, Dr. Buttercream --
Opal: No, no, Dr. Delicious.
Jake: Knows what he's doing, because your heart rate and your blood pressure are actually perfect.
Amanda: I am shocked that Tad got you here in the first place. I know how ornery you can be about seeing a doctor.
Opal: Listen, you keep that guy around, I will come have my heart checked every day.
Jake: We're gonna keep checking on you. Ok? I'm gonna call in later and check on you.
Tad: My hat's off to you, Doc. Normally, Opal gives anybody with a stethoscope a hard time. I'd say you got yourself a patient for life.
Jake: All right.
Amanda: Oh, wait! That's him right there talking to Tad.
Jake: Let me thank him.
Amanda: Oh, come on. You just got off duty. Let's just go ahead and go, have our romantic night like you promised.
Jake: Honey, two minutes. Man, how are you? I'm all right.
[Amanda gasps as Jake decks Griffin]
Krystal: Wow. Huh. Liza's on a roll tonight. Apparently, she had an altercation with Opal at my restaurant before she came here. It sent poor Opal to the hospital with heart palpitations.
Jack: What? Is she all right?
Krystal: She's all right now, Tad says, but it wasn't pretty.
Jack: I should call Erica, let her know. Even if she can't be here, she'd want a call.
Krystal: You should probably wait till tomorrow, Jackson. Opal's resting now, and it's probably better to not have any visitors or calls.
Jack: Yeah. I take it Tad didn't mention Greenlee, though?
Krystal: He lost contact with them. There's no new news.
Jack: Let me use your cell phone. Maybe I should call again.
Krystal: You're welcome to use it, as long as you're sure that they're not monitoring mine now.
Jack: No. They probably are. Greenlee, why couldn't you just call me like you promised you would?
Krystal: Maybe it's a good thing that she hasn't called. Maybe she's on a plane headed home.
Greenlee: It looks just like my engagement ring stone. But is that possible? I mean, do they have moonstones here?
Ryan: They do. There's actually a moonstone beach up the coast. I was gonna take you there someday. Look at that.
Greenlee: It means something.
Ryan: Yeah, it does. It means that we're set for life.
[Thunder]
Ryan: Sounds like there's a storm coming.
Greenlee: Yeah, a big one.
Ryan: That's gonna make it difficult to find Nick tomorrow.
Greenlee: We can't give up.
Ryan: Hey, we're not gonna give up. No chance in me giving up. It just might take a bit longer than I thought. That's all.
Greenlee: How long before you think the jury's back?
Ryan: A while. Plenty of reasonable doubt -- keep them deliberating for a long time. Don't worry.
Greenlee: I was hoping you'd say that.
Ryan: And when we find a public phone, we'll call your dad, and I'll let him know what our plan is. But in the meantime, you know what I think we need to do? I think we should get a little bit of sleep. What do you think?
