Jack: So I just met with Opal. We're trying to arrange the reading of Palmer's will.

Erica: How is she doing?

Jack: I think as well as can be expected. She was very, very moved by the way everyone came together the other night.

Erica: Oh, it was a beautiful tribute.

Jack: Yes, it was. So Opal's gonna have a quiet dinner with Nina and Daisy. Are you ready for ours?

Erica: Are you ready for a change of plans? I have an appointment with a man about a yacht I'm considering using for my next Fusion photo shoot.

Jack: At this hour?

Erica: Yes. Well, I have to see it at night. I have to make sure that it has the right romantic glamorous ambiance.

Jack: Aren't you the lucky one? Romantic and glamorous. Ooh, I have an eye for that.

Erica: Exactly what I was thinking.

Jack: Great minds.

[Footsteps approaching]

Greenlee: Salad, anyone? I just lost my appetite.

Ryan: You got some time on your hands now that you've been banned from practicing medicine, huh?

David: News travels fast.

Ryan: Especially good news.

David: You know something? I think I'm gonna double up.

Dealer: Mr. Lavery, the table limit's 20,000.

Ryan: We'll make an exception for the doctor -- eh, I mean for Mr. Hayward.

Dealer: 19. 20. House wins.

Adam: Brooke left. She could -- she could be anywhere.

Colby: Daddy, Daddy. Daddy, we'll ask around. I mean, someone must know where she is. And as soon as she lands, you can call her.

Adam: I don't want to call her. I want to see her, damn it! There's no time to waste.

Adam's voice: If I don't tell you how I feel --

Brooke's voice: Adam, don't.

Adam: I love you, Brooke. Ha ha! There. I said it. I love you.

Pilot: Ms. English, we've reached our cruising altitude. So feel free to go ahead and unbuckle your seatbelt. Would you like to know our destination? Hope I picked a winner.

Brooke: Sure. Ha.

Pilot: Well, Ms. Kane doesn't need the plane right away. And there's no place like Paris.

Brooke: April in Paris. Perfect.

Annie: Don't you dare come at me with threats! I lost my marriage because of you.

J.R.: What are you gonna do, Annie? Huh? You gonna kill me?

Annie: What am I gonna do?

Jack: Greenlee and I are gonna have a little talk. Would you mind waiting just a few minutes?

Erica: Of course not. I actually have a few phone calls to make. Excuse me.

Jack: Greenlee, do you not remember what I said to you after David's trial?

Greenlee: I don't need another lecture. You hate that I got him acquitted. You hate that I testified. I heard every single word --

Jack: What I said was, I want my daughter back. And I meant it. Look, clearly you've made your choice to stay with David, even though you know how I feel about the man.

Greenlee: Well, I hope your choice isn't to stay with Erica, since you know I think she's the biggest, phoniest --

Jack: Erica and I are still feeling things out, but we will be spending more time together, just like you are going to be staying married to David. So it seems to me we need to figure this thing out so that we can coexist peacefully.

Greenlee: We could stop seeing each other.

Jack: Well, that's not gonna happen. Greenlee, it wasn't that long ago I thought I'd never see you again. And then you walked into the chapel at Wildwind. So even though we hate each other's choices, we're gonna have to keep loving each other, taking care of our relationship. So when it gets a little tense, we're gonna go do something fun, like -- oh, like your Renaissance Fair or maybe a movie.

Greenlee: You'll buy the popcorn?

Jack: And the candy and the soda pop.

Greenlee: Deal.

Jack: Done.

Erica: Opal, it's me. I'm just calling to touch base with you, just check in. I'll call you later.

Adam: Erica!

Erica: Adam.

Adam: What are you thinking, offering a chartered jet to Brooke? You hate Brooke.

Erica: Why are you attacking me?

Adam: I got no time for questions. Just get her back here now.

Erica: It's not that easy.

Adam: Call the pilot, tell him to do a little U-turn. Look, how hard is that?

Erica: Adam --

Adam: No, really. Now, Erica.

Erica: All right. I'll do it.

Adam: Ok. Thank you for your help, for everything. I'll never forget it.

Brooke's voice: I know it, and you know it, too.

Adam: Well, what we do from now here?

Brooke: I don't know. It's up to you. Ahem. Would you like to get married?

Adam: What?

Brooke: I said, would you like to get married?

Price: Forsaking all others as long as you both shall live.

Brooke: I do.

Pilot: Fasten your seatbelt. We'll be landing soon.

Brooke: Is everything ok?

Pilot: Yes, ma'am. Nothing to worry about.

Brooke: [Sighs] Listen, buddy, I survived a plane crash. So don't scare me like that.

Pilot: I apologize. We just have to make a quick unscheduled stop.

Brooke: Fine by me.

Annie: This can't be happening. The things Adam said to me. He never loved me? He was just confused? I was just with him for his money?!

J.R.: All right. You need to stop.

Annie: What Adam and I had was real. I love him. I saved his life. Why would I have done that if I didn't care about him?

J.R.: Enough! My father doesn't deserve this.

Annie: What about me? I didn't deserve to watch my husband fall in love with his ex-wife! All that Brooke stuff happened way before I even dreamt of cheating on him.

J.R.: Are you kidding me? You and Scott couldn't keep your hands off each other.

Annie: Adam abandoned me. But that pain and humiliation is nothing compared to what you did -- lying to me, tricking me into bed, trying to ruin my life after everything I've done for you?

J.R.: You didn't do a damn thing for me. You did it for yourself.

Annie: I wish I could take it back.

J.R.: Yeah? Well, too late. I'm here, and you're gone.

Annie: You owe me everything. And you would really kick me out of the one home I've ever loved, the one place where my daughter has actually been happy.

J.R.: Happy? Is that what you call witnessing a murder? No, since you've been here, there hasn't been one minute of happiness.

Annie: God! No matter how hurt I am and how disgustingly cruel you have been to me, we had moments, J.R. They were real, true, intimate moments. And you know that. Fine. You can look me in the eye and deny it all you want. But you are only lying to yourself, and you know it.

Adam: Brooke's on her way back. She's in for the surprise of her life.

[Adam and Colby laughing]

Jack: At last.

Erica: Excuse me?

Jack: Our yacht. The "At Last." I was just thinking about it.

Erica: We had a lot of fun, didn't we?

Jack: Sister, did we ever. You ready?

Erica: The fact that Greenlee hates me doesn't give you any pause?

Jack: Oh, I think Greenlee and I have come to an agreement, but the fact is I don't need anybody's permission to spend time with you, except yours, of course. Shall we?

Erica: Shall we?

Ryan: Where you going, Dave?

David: To find a table with a higher limit and more privacy.

Ryan: That sounds like a great idea. Please, stay and bet as much as you want. In fact, I'll make sure the house knows that your checks are good. Ok, better yet, why don't you borrow from the house? You know, the way things are going --

David: Such generosity. What a wonderful surprise. Ryan, I think you know my beautiful wife.

Ryan: Yes. Hey.

Greenlee: Hey. Ahem. Surprised to see you here. I heard you hired Tad to be your manager for a little while.

Ryan: Yeah, he was busy tonight, so -- enjoy yourselves.

David: What are you doing here?

Greenlee: I was looking for you. I called about 50 times.

David: Well, I turned my cell phone off. I wanted to concentrate.

Greenlee: Since when are you into playing cards?

David: Since I've decided to buy controlling interest of Pine Valley Hospital. It's a perfect time. Angie's in way over her head. Joe Martin has retired. Adam's stepping down from the board. And Palmer, well, he couldn't have picked a better time to take his leave from this world.

Greenlee: Ha ha. That's a little cold.

David: Maybe, but you can't argue with the fact that's exactly the kind of business ploy he would use. He's probably smiling up at us right now as we speak, enjoying my power play.

Greenlee: So what are you doing here?

David: Well, these shares aren't going to come cheap. So you know I have the assets, but I need liquidity -- cash. You know, so I thought I would try my luck here.

Greenlee: How's it working out for you?

David: I'm down about 50 grand. So why don't you stick around, ok? You can bring me luck.

Greenlee: I think we should get out of here. Stop giving your money to Ryan. You know what? I'll chip in. I'll help you buy your shares. We'll be partners. It beats being partners with Erica. Come on. Let's go home.

Madison: No, really, it's fine. Don't worry. I know what I have to do.

Annie: When we were in D.C., we had a very close moment. And I am not talking about the sex. We both realized that we had been massive screw-ups, but we helped each other turn our lives around. We were each other's second chance. And this, how attracted we are and our desire, I have never felt anything like it. What we have is powerful.

J.R.: What we have is over.

Annie: You're trying to be strong. You can tell yourself all the right things, but it's not working, is it?

J.R.: Shut up.

Annie: Wow. You've really let Daddy down this time, huh? And Marissa.

J.R.: Shut up. Just shut up.

Annie: You're losing control, and you hate that, so you're lashing out. But it's not really me that you're upset at, is it, J.R.? You're upset at yourself because you still want me.

Colby: Daddy, are you ok about J.R. and Annie?

Adam: Oh, yeah. Well, yes. Yes, yes. That's the past. I'm dealing in the future, and that's Brooke. I was thinking about Stuart last week. He always insisted that you find happiness wherever you can find it.

[Colby chuckles]

Adam: And Brooke makes me happy.

Colby: You make her happy, and I can see that. All I want for you to be is happy and healthy and live forever. Daddy, remember what David Hayward said?

Adam: What?

Colby: He says that you need to get rid of all of the stress in your life, and you need to sit under a palm tree and just chill.

Adam: Well, I can't imagine who would be better to chill with than Brooke.

Colby: Well, as long as the beach is nice, and you can bury your cell phone in the sand.

Adam: Well, I don't know where Brooke is headed, but I'm going to try to talk her into taking me along. We could be gone for a very long time.

Colby: I know. I want this for you. I do. I really want this for you, Daddy.

Adam: I'm gonna miss you, too, sweetheart. And where I am, no matter I am, you're always welcome. My nickel.

[Cell phone beeps]

Adam: Aha. Let's see. What do we have here? Ha ha! Brooke's plane just landed.

Colby: Well, Daddy, go and be happy. [Sobs]

Adam: Oh, honey. No matter where I am, you remember your dad will always love you.

Colby: Yeah. I love you.

Adam: I love you.

[Brooke gets off the plane and is surprised to see Adam]

Erica: So you're sure it will be large enough? I mean, it's really quite a major photo shoot.

Claude: Absolument. The crew will take wonderful care of everyone, especially you. You have the most beautiful smile. You should be the model.

Jack: I couldn't agree with you more.

Claude: So do we have a deal?

Erica: Well, it certainly is magical. It is exactly what I had in mind. I mean, I can see it now. Beautiful woman looking out at the beautiful view. Handsome man mesmerized by the view, especially of her.

Jack: Claude, let's go discuss that agreement.

Erica's voice: Well, I was worried a little.

Jack: A lot. Because you love me.

Erica: And you love me. So what do we do now?

Erica: Ok, I'm ready to go.

Jack: Actually, we're not going anywhere.

David: Thank you for offering to invest in the hospital and for pulling me away from that blackjack table. Obviously, there was a good chance I might lose.

Greenlee: That's why they call it gambling.

David: I just would have loved to wipe that smug look off of Ryan's face with a big win.

Greenlee: That's what you'll be doing from now on -- winning big just like you did in court.

David: Thanks to you.

Greenlee: No matter what they throw at us, we'll come out on top. You lose your medical license, but soon you'll take control of the hospital.

David: Again thanks to you.

Greenlee: The point is we make a great team.

David: Yes, we do.

Greenlee: So, partner, I have a huge favor to ask.

David: Anything.

Greenlee: Don't say that until you hear what it is.

Ryan: Hey.

Madison: Hey.

Ryan: I got to say I am a little surprised to see you here after our last conversation.

Madison: Eh, about my former gambling problem.

Ryan: Ha ha. Yeah. Believe it or not, I was actually trying to be delicate, something I'm not terribly good at. But, yes.

Madison: Well, you did help me. And I am grateful, but I actually came here, because I want to talk to you about something else. Long story short, my late husband left me under a mountain of credit card debt.

Ryan: Ouch.

Madison: And I was thinking maybe I could supplement my Fusion income with a little moonlighting, if you would be so kind as to hire me.

Ryan: Well, let me ask you something. Do you think somebody who used to have a serious gambling problem should be working at a casino?

Adam: I asked Erica to tell the pilot to turn the plane around.

Brooke: [Chuckles] You always did know how to pull strings.

Adam: Well, I hope you're not upset. I couldn't let you go.

Brooke: Adam, we've already been through this. You got my letter. If you're trying to change my mind --

Adam: No, no. I'm not. I'm not. I'm trying to -- keep you up to date on what has changed. We both denied our feelings, because I was married. Well, I'm not anymore.

Brooke: What are you saying?

Adam: It's over.

J.R.: Ok, you're hurt. I'm sorry about that, but you need to move on. I need to find my father, and you need to get out of this house. Come on, Annie. You need to pull yourself together. I'm serious. I want you gone. I can't waste any more time on you. I certainly can't be concerned with you coming after me with a fireplace poker. You need to accept reality.

Annie: I open up to you, I speak from my heart, and you dismiss me? No. I'm not gonna leave, and I'm not gonna be treated like a piece of garbage!

Marissa: I could hear you shouting outside. What is -- what the hell is going on in here?

J.R.: Annie's upset.

Marissa: About what?

J.R.: My father left her for Brooke.

Marissa: Oh, God. Annie, is that true? Oh, I'm so sorry. You must be just devastated.

Annie: Yeah. And on top of everything, J.R. wants me and Emma to move out of the mansion tonight.

Marissa: That is just wrong.

Brooke: The one thing that I didn't want -- the one thing that we specifically agreed on, you would not leave Annie for me.

Adam: I didn't. You made it quite clear that I was responsible for taking care of Annie. And I was prepared to do that.

Brooke: Well, then why am I here?

Adam: When Stuart -- when I lost Stuart, I was convinced that I would never be happy again. And then there was you.

Brooke: Me, yes, who wanted you to honor your wedding vows. Me.

Adam: I did. Annie didn't. I caught her in bed with J.R.

Brooke: Oh, my God. Oh, Adam. J.R. and Annie?

Adam: Yeah.

Brooke: Your heart. Are you ok?

Adam: I was shocked, appalled. I was betrayed not only by my wife, but by my son as well.

Brooke: Oh, Adam, I'm so sorry.

Adam: Don't be. Don't be. They opened my eyes to what was really important. I have been so wrapped up in my family. The people that would do that are not family. You, Brooke, you're family.

Erica: So you just made this happen just like that?

Jack: The yacht is ours for the rest of the night.

Claude: We should have a toast to our nouvelle partnership. I'll have my wife bring the champagne.

Jack: If you could make it sparkling cider.

Claude: Tres bien.

Erica: S'il vous plait.

Jack: So this certainly does bring back memories, doesn't it?

Erica: It certainly does.

Jack: May I?

Erica: Yes, please. [Chuckles softly] Penne puttanesca?

Jack: You promise not to dump it in my lap this time?

Erica: You promise not to pretend to jump overboard?

Jack: I believe you pretended to jump first.

Erica: You were terrified.

Jack: You were beautiful.

Erica: You asked me to marry you.

Jack: And you said yes.

Madison: A casino might actually be a perfect place for me to work. I mean, first of all, you have strict rules against employees gambling, right?

Ryan: Yup.

Madison: And, second, there is temptation in the world. I am going to have to learn how to deal with it.

Ryan: When would you sleep? Fusion has everybody working overtime. The hours here, they're very long.

Madison: I don't need sleep. I don't need sleep. Trust me, I would so much rather be working than dealing with creditors. I've had this recurring nightmare about these big, scary guys dressed up like credit cards chasing me down the street.

Ryan: Wow. Ok, well, we definitely don't want that. So if you're really up for this, then you're hired.

Greenlee: You won't like it.

David: Try me. You know I can't say no to you, even up to half my kingdom. So come on. If there's something you really want, just ask.

Greenlee: Angie Hubbard saved my life after they took me out of that bomb shelter. Jake and I aren't on the best of terms, but he's been a great friend. And even though I'm a thousand percent behind your plan to take over the hospital, I don't want you to fire them.

David: Wow. You drive a hard bargain, Mrs. Hayward.

Greenlee: Tell me something I don't know.

David: Well, I guess it would be more fun to wield power over them permanently rather than getting a short-term thrill firing them all at once --

Greenlee: Let's just agree to disagree about certain people.

David: Right. Like everyone. I mean, come on. How many people do you care about that I despise and vice versa? The list is endless.

Greenlee: All that matters is how we feel about each other. We're about to become king and queen of Pine Valley.

David: You know something? You are absolutely right. This town is suffering from a severe lack of leadership. So it's our responsibility to take the reins, right? I'll control the hospital, you'll control Fusion. Together we'll have it all. And I will be the envy of everyone in Pine Valley, because I have the most amazing woman at my side, my beautiful wife. I am one lucky man.

Marissa: Annie is the reason that you're alive, the reason that we have a future. The least you can do is give her a chance to figure things out.

J.R.: Fine.

Annie: Thank you so much, Marissa. You have no idea how much this means to me. I mean, I've hardly had time to wrap my head around this whole thing, let alone think about Emma. I mean, what am I gonna say to her? I feel like I'm gonna see her and just fall apart.

Marissa: No. You'll find a way. I tell you what, why don't I go pick up Emma and A.J. from Tad's? I'll bring them home, and I'll tuck them in so you can have some time to yourself.

Annie: You don't mind?

Marissa: No. Not at all. And you're welcome to stay until you figure out where to go from here, ok?

Annie: Give Emma a kiss for me.

Marissa: I will.

Annie: Ok.

Brooke: Adam, I'm -- I'm touched, really. But I -- I just don't think it's the time to make this sort of impulsive decision. I mean, first of all, there's your health. I don't want you to be stressed.

Adam: But I don't think I'm being impulsive. I think having you near me has made me calmer. You've given me peace and serenity and love.

Brooke: I just -- Adam, I just don't think that this is something --

Adam: We've had our family differences in the past, and you know that. And one thing we think is the most important aspect of life is love. And I love you, Brooke.

Brooke: It's just not that simple. You know, you and I cannot just get together again, because Annie cheated on you!

Adam: Can you just please zip it? Zip it, zip it for a minute and listen to me? You're right. You're right. Absolutely. It's not simple. No. So you can run away or fly away or take a rocket to the moon. But I will still leave Annie, and I will never, ever stop loving you. Now, you want to try love from far away or maybe close up? I'm putting my money on you wanting to be loving close up.

Erica: Oh, we're not laughing at you.

Jack: Oh, no, no, no. We -- we were just remembering something.

Erica: Something tres amusant.

Yvette: Oui?

Jack and Erica: Oui.

Jack: Well, this hotel certainly has beautiful maids. I'll say that.

Erica: [French accent] Excusez-moi?

Jack: I said the maids at this hotel are very good-looking, especially that Jacqueline. Beautiful face and that long, lovely dark hair.

Erica: Jacqueline?

Jack: I think you have better legs, though. Nice ankles. Very nicely toned.

Erica: Je ne comprends pas, monsieur.

Jack: Well, obviously you understand some English.

Erica: Un petit peu.

Jack: What's your name?

Erica: Corinne.

Jack: Corinne. That's a very pretty name.

Erica: Ooh! Monsieur!

Claude: We'll leave you to enjoy your evening.

Yvette: Bonne soiree.

Erica: Merci beaucoup.

Yvette: De rien.

Erica: So -- tu te souviens? Monsieur.

Jack: And how could I forget?

David: I get the feeling this is gonna be the last fire for the season.

Greenlee: Not yet, though. I'm chilly. Ahh. I love the fantasy you were talking about before -- the two of us ruling Pine Valley, everyone else burning up with jealousy.

David: I love it, too. It's not a fantasy. It'll be reality, our reality.

[Greenlee and David kiss]

David: We've been here before, Greenlee, several times. And we've always put on the brakes.

Greenlee: I'm not in the mood to talk.

David: Ok. You know how I feel about you. So if you do this, I want you to be absolutely certain.

Greenlee: We're two passionate people, David. We need more than just a partnership in this marriage. You want me, I want you.

David: It's much more complicated than that.

Greenlee: You told me if I wanted something, all I had to do was ask. I'm asking.

David: If you give yourself to me, I want all of you -- your heart, your soul, your mind, your body. And I will give you all of myself in return. So you have to really think about this, Greenlee. Are you sure?

Greenlee: Yes.

[Greenlee and David kiss]

Erica: [Normal voice] The fact that we are sitting here together -- calm, sane -- after all that's happened these past few months, it's a miracle.

Jack: Yes, it is. I thought Greenlee was dead.

Erica: I thought Kendall had turned her back on her family.

Jack: We lost Palmer.

Erica: And Stuart.

Jack: Stuart. Hard to believe.

Erica: And if you want to talk about really unbelievable, it looks like Adam and Brooke are back together again.

Jack: And you want to talk about really classy, that would be you lending them your charter jet, so they could get out of here.

Erica: I don't know what Adam sees in Brooke.

[Jack laughs]

Erica: Pushiness, holier-than-thou attitude? I mean, don't get me wrong. I mean, I don't really care, but I do believe in true love. And they do belong together.

Jack: Destiny can't be stopped.

Erica: If that's what it is.

Jack: Personal opinions aside, you do have to admit that those two overcame great obstacles to get back together. But I guess when there is one woman, one incredible woman who you just can't get out of your mind, you'll do anything to take another shot.

Erica: A very wise man -- and very handsome.

Jack: Says the beautiful lady.

[In front of the fireplace, David and Greenlee kiss and remove their clothes]

Singer: You don't have to love me, baby, I don't mind you don't need to feel what I feel, but if you want to give some time you can do it right here by my side now, I could give you what you want, babe

J.R.: You know, if you're trying to prove to me that you're for real, working my wife is not the way to do it.

Annie: I belong in this house just as much as you do. More, actually.

J.R.: No, Annie, you don't. You don't have a life here anymore. Your marriage is over, and mine will be destroyed if you don't leave.

Annie: Are you that scared? Are you that afraid of your lust for me we can't spend one more night under the same roof? Is that it?

J.R.: This isn't about you, Annie. It's about Marissa. I love her, ok? She can't keep walking in on us fighting.

Annie: Or not fighting.

J.R.: I can't keep coming up with lame excuses. She's gonna get suspicious. Marissa is the sweetest woman that I've ever known, and she's done nothing to hurt you. So if you want to stay for a night, fine. After that, I'm booking you a hotel room at the Yacht Club or at the Valley Inn or at a hotel across the country. Come tomorrow, you're gone. Right now, I'm gonna find my father.

Annie: Don't go, not until I tell you how this is really going to work. I'm going to stay here as long as I want. And if you don't let me, I'll tell Marissa everything.

Brooke: Oh, you are the most relentless person I have ever met.

Adam: Oh. Wait, wait. Whoa. I wish I had a name for you like that, "relentless." No, no. You're too magnificent for that. No. You never told me where you were taking that jet to.

Brooke: Uh, I let the pilot decide, and he chose Paris. Do you remember when you flew to Europe? You flew across the ocean to be with me, even though I was returning to Pine Valley the very next day.

Adam: I missed you.

Brooke: As I said, relentless.

[Adam imitates sad moaning, then chuckles]

Brooke: Relentless.

Adam: I've got somebody telling me that I should go on another trip, find a palm tree to relax under so my heart doesn't give out.

Brooke: Well, I'm surprised it didn't tonight after the shock you got.

Adam: Yeah. I'm still perpendicular.

Brooke: You need that palm tree.

Adam: No. I need you.

Brooke: Oh, Adam, what are you going to do, I mean, about your family and the company? A divorce is gonna take a while.

Adam: No, I can handle it. I can handle it. Having the woman I love next to me is the best thing I can do for my heart. So what is it, Paris or palm tree?

Brooke: [Laughs] Oh! Why not both?

Adam: Ha ha ha! Sure.

Brooke: I mean, we have all the time in the world, right? Right?

Adam: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And then some. Come on.

Brooke: Come here, you.

Adam: Whose idea was that?

Brooke: I don't know. Let's get out of the park.

Adam: We might get arrested.
