Amanda: Don't touch me! Don't ever touch me again!

David: Oh! Ah!

Jake: You are a bastard. You are nothing but a piece of garbage.

David: All right, look, why don't you just kill me, all right, Jake? You know that'll solve all your problems.

Jake: You know what? I should. You can't keep your mouth shut, can you?

Amanda: Jake, stop! Don't hurt him!

Erica: It wasn't a routine miscarriage, Adam. She lost a lot of blood, so much so that they had to put her right into emergency surgery.

Adam: Erica, what are you trying to tell me?

Erica: Oh, she made it. She made it. It's just that she -- she is in a coma -- and there's a very strong chance that she won't survive.

Adam: Oh --

Jesse: You ok?

Erica: Adam? Oh, Adam? Adam, what is it? Adam?

[Beeping]

Scott: Hey, kiddo. You did it. You made it through surgery. Now all you have to do is wake up.

[Outside the boarding house, Zach watches Aidan make love to a woman who looks like Kendall from behind]

[Kat cocks her pistol]

Kat: No! Don't shoot! It's just me! Um, you might want to cover that up, Devane.

Aidan: Well?

Kat: Zach swallowed it hard. Took off like a bat out of hell.

Aidan: Well, I couldn't have done it without Candy.

Jake: Are you seriously protecting him right now? Are you serious?

Amanda: No. I don't know what I'm doing.

Jake: You pushed him away. I saw it.

David: Just do it. Just tell him what he wants to hear. I forced myself on you.

Jake: And then you said, "Don't touch me again." You said, "Don't touch me again." Why would you say that unless something happened? Please. Did something happen down at the clinic? Just tell me. I mean, I see it in your eyes, I hear it in your voice. I'm not stupid. Please. Please.

Amanda: I swear on Trevor that David did not rape me.

Angie: What's going on in here? I got a call that there was some kind of disturbance.

Jake: It was -- it was me. Sorry.

Angie: Look, this is a hospital, not a playground, and last time I checked, you had a patient in ICU?

David: On my way, Chief. Ow. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

Amanda: Just go!

Angie: Someone want to tell me what just happened?

Jake: There's nothing to tell except, you know, I can tell you it won't happen again.

Angie: No, it won't, because I'm sending you home.

Jake: Really? Really?

Angie: You know, as much as I'd like to see David get his butt whipped, I can't have it go down in my hospital. Don't you want to go after him?

Amanda: You know what? I don't know what to say to make this any better. Jake thinks that David raped me.

Angie: Did he? Amanda?

Amanda: No.

Erica: Is there somewhere he can lie down?

Adam: Stop treating me like a drooling invalid.

Erica: I'm trying to help you, Adam.

Adam: Then leave me alone.

Jesse: I got this. Ok?

Ryan: How is he?

Erica: Well, he keeps insisting that he's fine.

Ryan: That news about Annie really shook him up, didn't it?

Erica: Yeah.

Ryan: What?

Erica: I just can't believe it. Kendall can finally come home to her family.

Ryan: It's pretty incredible, right?

Erica: It is.

Ryan: Have you got in touch with Zach yet? Any word?

Erica: No. I left a few messages, but I haven't had an answer. I think I'm gonna go over to the house and try and track him down somehow. Listen, if you aren't busy, I'd love some company.

Ryan: I would love that, too, but with Annie in the hospital, I think I should be with Emma.

Scott: You remember when you were telling me about your parents and your brother -- about the way they treated you, how they never really cared about you and they treated you that way as a way to make themselves feel better? And how you've spent your whole life searching for people who didn't make you feel that way? You can call off the search, Annie. I see you. I see the strong, loving woman that you are. Well, what happened to you?

David: Nothing some frozen peas and a stiff drink won't cure. How's our patient doing?

Scott: Oh, I've been talking to her, hoping she'll hear me, hoping she'll wake up.

David: Let's take a look. I'm sorry, Scott. There's no change.

Scott: I don't get it. Women have miscarriages all the time; it doesn't send them into comas.

David: Most women don't suffer the kind of blood loss Annie has, and because of that, her brain was deprived of its necessary oxygen. That's why she's still in a coma -- and why it's highly unlikely that she will ever recover. Have you had a chance to contact Adam yet?

Scott: No. I've tried.

David: You haven't heard? Your uncle confessed to Stuart's murder.

Scott: Yeah.

David: I take it you're not surprised.

Scott: Would you do something for me, please? For Annie really? Consider it a last request.

Krystal: Hey. Jake, Trevor went down about 20 minutes ago. You want any coffee or water?

Jake: How about an ice pack?

Krystal: What did David do now?

Angie: Did David hurt you? Amanda, look, I know you've heard this a million times. A lot of women feel responsible, like somehow what happened was their fault.

Amanda: I told you, David did not rape me. He did not force himself on me. I had sex with him willingly. And worse than that, it was my idea.

Angie: Why?

Amanda: I needed to get pregnant.

Angie: Look, I know that you and David had an agreement, but I thought the conception was supposed to be through artificial insemination.

Amanda: It was. But on the way to the clinic, we ran out of gas. We were in the middle of nowhere. I was ovulating, and I panicked. I know that a month does not sound like a long time to you, but stuck in his house. You know, it could have been that and longer. Living my whole life without Jake, I just -- I couldn't sit there and do nothing. I hate myself for sleeping with David, but just imagine how Jake would feel. He cannot find out. Angie, if he found out, I could lose him.

Angie: You try hiding this from him, and you will lose him.

[Muffled voices]

Candy: You swore it would be safe this time.

Aidan: Well, no one got hurt, did they?

Candy: You pulled a gun!

Kat: Hey, keep your voice down, cupcake.

Candy: I want double the pay.

Aidan: Ha ha. That's not gonna happen.

Candy: I could call the cops right now, you know.

Aidan: Oh, really? What do you think they're going to do? They're just gonna put you back in prison but for real this time, for aiding, abetting, and impersonating a wanted felon.

Candy: Oh. : Mmm.

Kat: Get dressed. That way. Dumb as a box of hammers, but she's cute.

Aidan: Oh, what tipped you off?

Kat: Oh, don't get me wrong. She's a dead ringer for Curly Locks. Even fooled her husband.

Aidan: Well, thanks for bringing her here and watching out for Zach.

Kat: You're the one who tracked down Candy and kept her on call for a week.

Aidan: Yeah, I needed a plan "B" in case Zach showed up.

Kat: Well, he showed up, all right. From the look on his face, I don't think he'll be back.

Kat: I should delete that message from your friend Tad warning that Zach might be finding his way here.

[Thud]

Joe: Pulse is strong and steady.

Jesse: So why did he almost pass out?

Joe: Anxiety I would think. But you know, Adam, given that you've recently had a heart attack, I'd like to admit you for some tests.

Adam: No, no. I'm not going to the hospital.

Joe: I'm worried about your health.

Adam: Why? After what I did to Stuart and Kendall? Why? Why should you even care about me at all?

Joe: What are you talking about, what you did to Stuart?

Adam: You haven't heard? I killed my brother, shot him in the back in cold blood. Now, forget the hospital, forget the ambulance, forget all the special treatment. I'm exactly where I belong.

Joe: Say what you want about Adam, he loved his brother.

Jesse: Yeah, I know.

Joe: Well, you will contact me if he has another episode?

Jesse: Absolutely. Thanks, Doc.

Joe: Yeah. Huh.

Scott: Jesse. Hey, I, uh, I just got back from the hospital, and David doesn't think Annie's gonna make it.

Jesse: What's this?

Scott: This is a message from Annie to my uncle. He won't want to see me, but -- he has to see this.

Ryan: Hey! Hey, hi. Hey, sweets. Thank you very much for bringing her in.

Corrina: Sure. Of course.

Ryan: Ok. Talk to you later. Come on, sit over here with me. How you doing? You ok? You sleepy?

Emma: Corrina woke me up. Why are we here, Daddy?

Ryan: Well, because your mommy's not feeling very well. She had to have an operation, and it all came on very quickly. It happened -- it happened very, very quickly, but she's sleeping now. She's sleeping now, so she can get strong again, but I figured that she would love to have a visit from you. Would you be up for that? Yeah. Ok. Come on.

[Beeping]

Ryan: Hey. Any change?

Emma: Can I talk to her?

Ryan: Yeah, sure.

Emma: Hi, Mommy.

Ryan: I think that is a great idea. Gentle. Gentle. Yeah, looks like we're going to be the first --

Aidan: Are you ok?

Kendall: No, no, I'm not ok. Why the hell did you lock me in here?

Aidan: The door must have been jammed, Kendall. It's happened a couple of times since we've been here.

Kendall: Well, I heard -- there were loud noises. I heard yelling downstairs.

Aidan: That's because I was watching a movie on Kat's computer. I had the volume cranked pretty high. I'm sorry if it woke you.

Kendall: No. That's ok. You didn't wake me. It was my dream.

Aidan: A good one, I hope.

Kendall: No, not really. I had a dream about Zach. He came here, and he was hurt and angry, and he wouldn't tell me why, and I kept begging him to tell me, but he wouldn't. He just walked away and disappeared into the darkness.

Kendall's voice: I love you very, very much. Always. Only you. And I promise to never let go again. Deep down, you know I'm exactly the same woman I've always been. The same woman who promised to love you forever. Trust my instincts now. Trust our love. Please. You. Zach. You're the man that I belong with.

[Horn honks]

Kendall: It was so real. I just knew I'd lost Zach forever.

Erica: Opal. What are you doing here?

Opal: Well, that's good. A $64,000 question. Zach called, asked me to take over for Rachel. She said he took off a couple hours ago without a word where he was headed.

Erica: He must be bringing Kendall home.

Opal: Home?

Erica: Yes! She's been exonerated. Adam confessed to killing Stuart.

Opal: Oh, at long last! Oh, I'm so, so happy for you!

Erica: Thank you.

Opal: That's great.

Erica: So will you wait with me until Zach and Kendall get home, and then we can all celebrate together?

Opal: Oh, you know I would love to, but I'm just here to pick up Ian and his stuff.

Erica: Well, why would you do that?

Opal: Zach told me to take Ian to be with Spike tonight.

Erica: Well, that doesn't make any sense, because when Kendall comes home, the first faces she's gonna want to see are the faces of those little boys.

Opal: Yeah, you'd think so. I mean, Zach, he didn't explain, but he was very clear. He said, "Take the boy and go."

Ryan: Excuse me. Sorry to bother you. Is there any chance that you could just watch my daughter for a little while while I go and check in on her mom?

Nurse: Sure.

Ryan: Ok. I won't be long.

Nurse: Take your time.

Ryan: Ok. Thanks.

Nurse: Sure.

Ryan: [Sighs] I'm sure I'm the last person you expect to hear from. We haven't exactly been close lately. But we were once. In fact, at one point I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life with you. Huh. I, uh, I really did think that I loved you, Annie, I honestly believed that, and I'm sorry if -- if I ever hurt you. I'm really, really sorry. And I know you would never wake up if I asked you to, I realize that, but I'm here for Emma, because she stuck by your side through all of this, and -- she really needs you to wake up, so wake up for her, ok? She needs her mom.

Adam: I told you I want nothing to do with that traitor. Now get rid of him.

Jesse: All gone.

Adam: Now get rid of this.

Jesse: I think you should watch it. I did, and given Annie's condition -- tell you what, you say when, I'll shut it off. Deal?

Annie: Are you there, Adam? Can you see me? Broken, my heart, my dreams. Yes, I lied to you and the police and everyone. I lied about my pregnancy, and I lied about the murder. But I did not lie about loving you, and I never lied about wanting to protect you from what happened that night and from the people who want your blood for Stuart's. I saw you pull that trigger, and I couldn't erase it. But I thought through our love and this child and our marriage, you would see what a good man you are, and you would eventually forgive yourself. You're angry at me and hurt, and you never want to see me again, and there's nothing I can do about that. But I will tell our son or our daughter that what we had was real -- and strong. And I will never stop loving you. Oh. Ah! Oh, no, no. Ah.

Adam: Annie. Annie!

Annie: [Moaning]

Adam: I told you I want him out of here.

Scott: I'll go. I will. You just -- look at this first. Please. Those are Annie's and my blood types. Underneath is the blood type of the baby she lost. It is right there in black and white. I am not the father of that child. You are.

Adam: I don't know what you expect me to say.

Scott: You don't have to say anything. Yes, I was attracted to Annie, and yes, I kissed her, and it was wrong, and it was stupid, and I have no idea why I did it, but I do know this: That woman loved you and only you. And a child was created out of that love.

Adam: Why do you keep talking about her in the past tense? Is Annie dead?

Scott: No. But she doesn't have long.

Adam: My wife is dying.

Scott: Yes.

Adam: We have to save her.

Kendall: I really want to try to see if there are any messages from Zach.

Aidan: Sure. Here you go.

Kendall: Thank you. Ok. Ok, let's see what we got here. Huh. Nothing.

Aidan: Well, write him again.

Kendall: And do what, beg him to please stop ignoring me?

Aidan: No. Just tell him that you miss him and that you want to hear from him and it's important. I'll give you some privacy.

Kendall's voice: I dreamed about you tonight. But not that we were together again. This time I lost you for good. It felt so real. Please write back. Tell me you'll never leave me. Tell me we'll be ok.

[Computer beeps]

Kat: Candy's on a bus headed home.

Aidan: Thanks.

Kat: Is that a he-said or a she-said?

Aidan: No. This is a message from Kendall to Zach. She woke up in a bad place and is desperate to hear from him.

Kat: Nightmares? It's probably the drugs you slipped her, you know? Mix it with a bunch of wine, it makes the imagination get a little wonky.

Aidan: Yeah, it's not really her imagination because from this message, it's like she felt something bad was going on.

Kat: Let me look. Hot damn. Is she psychic? You gonna rewrite this? How are you gonna --

Aidan: No, I'm not gonna rewrite it. I'm gonna send this puppy as is.

Jake: So David apologized.

Krystal: [Scoffs]

Jake: And then after possibly impregnating my wife or, you know, creating life with her or whatever way you want to say it, he apologized, which is -- out of character. To say the least. And Amanda has just shut me out. No matter what I do, she just -- so you know, to me, something has gone down. Something --

Krystal: But she insists that David never touched her, right?

Jake: She swears on Trevor's life that he didn't -- rape her. Which has been my biggest fear, you know. She's my wife. I have to believe in her. I have to trust in her.

Krystal: Trust your instincts, Jake. If you think that David hurt her in any way -- chances are you're probably right.

Amanda: It would kill him, Angie. If he found out, that would be it.

Angie: You don't know that.

Amanda: Yes, I do. Yes, I do. It's not like I just slept with anyone. I slept with David. He despises David.

Angie: So? It didn't stop him from standing by your side before.

Amanda: When I moved in with David, sure. But this is different, Angie. Jake has already been pushed to his limits with the whole baby for my freedom thing. He thinks that David's gonna find some way to just suck me in and make me fall in love with him.

Angie: Has he?

Amanda: No! Oh, God, not at all. It's just if I tell him, he's never gonna believe anything I've ever said.

Angie: Do you still love Jake?

Amanda: I have never loved anybody more.

Angie: Then you trust that, trust him. Now, I know this is gonna be a really hard thing for him to take at first. But I know and you know how much he loves you, and eventually he will forgive you.

Amanda: Every time he looks at me, he's gonna see the woman that betrayed him. And honestly, I can't live with that any more than he can.

Angie: You know, I really don't think you're giving Jake a fair shot.

Amanda: I'm doing what I feel is best for the two of us. You can't -- you can't say anything.

Angie: I won't.

Amanda: Because I was consulting you as a doctor.

Angie: Sweetheart, I don't care where we are. This isn't my secret to tell.

David: I spoke with my colleague at UCLA. It turns out he was very impressed with the recommendation I wrote. They'd like you to start at the hospital as soon as possible. Congratulations.

Hines: Thank you.

David: Favor for a favor, right? Well, actually, after bowing out of the insemination and telling Jake that I pulled you from the case, I guess I still owe you one.

Hines: The new job is enough. Thank you.

David: Great. Good luck to you, Dr. Hines.

Hines: Same to you.

David: Ha ha. Why would I need luck?

Hines: Well, getting Amanda pregnant. Have you decided on another course of action yet?

David: I'm -- I'm sorry. I don't -- another course of action on what?

Hines: How to deal with your motility problem.

Kendall: You came back. What's wrong?

Zach: You need to be careful.

Kendall: Of what?

Zach: The darkness. If you don't watch out, it's gonna swallow you whole.

Kendall: Zach, what does that mean? Please don't leave, Zach. Tell me what that means. Zach! Zach! Oh.

Aidan: You know, I can't believe this. Damn it, this means Kendall's gonna be cleared. She's gonna be free to go home to Zach and her kids.

Kat: What are you gonna do?

Aidan: Ahh --

Erica: Where's Kendall?

Zach: She's with Aidan.

Erica: Aidan? Zach, I called you. Did you get my messages?

Zach: I've been kind of busy.

Erica: Well, then you don't know. Adam confessed. He's at the station right now. It's over, Zach.

Zach: Yes, it's over.

Erica: Well, so then, why isn't Kendall here with you? Is she on her way home?

Zach: This isn't her home, not anymore.

Erica: What are you talking about?

Zach: She's not coming back here, not to this house, not to her boys, and not to me.

Erica: Zach, why on earth would you say something like that? What happened?

Zach: I think you should go now.

Erica: No, not until I have some answers.

Zach: I said I think you should go now

Erica: No, Zach! Zach, you owe me some answers. I need to know. At least explain to me. Zach! Ok, fine, fine. You won't bring my daughter home? I'm going to find her myself.

Zach: You do that.

Hines: As you can see, the count is fine.

David: Yeah, but these motility numbers are low. These -- these numbers can't be right. Amanda and I conceived Trevor no problem.

Hines: I hate to even suggest this, but are you sure you're the child's father?

Amanda: Hey.

Jake: Hey.

Amanda: How did Trevor do?

Krystal: Oh, he did -- he did great. I'll, uh, I'll just get his things.

Jake: She couldn't get out of here fast enough.

Amanda: I didn't expect to see you.

Jake: Well, I needed to be around my family. But I do miss you.

Amanda: So do I. All the time.

Jake: I'm sorry for what happened at the hospital. That's not my style, to hit David --

Amanda: Don't ever apologize to me. You did nothing wrong. I did.

Jake: Why do you say that?

Amanda: I shouldn't have stopped you from beating up David. I should have let you kill him.

Ryan: Zach didn't say why or where Kendall was?

Erica: No. Zach barely said anything, except he said that he didn't think Kendall would ever come home to her family, so, Ryan, you've got to come back there with me.

Ryan: Erica --

Erica: No. You've got to get Zach to explain or at least to tell us where Kendall is.

Ryan: Erica, I can't. Not now.

Erica: Oh. Of course. I'm sorry. Of course. Your little girl needs you.

Ryan: Yeah. But what she wants is her mom to wake up. And honestly, I'm not so sure that's gonna happen.

Adam: Annie, I'm so sorry. You've -- you lost our child and had a lot of pain. But most of all I'm sorry that you spent your last moments thinking I didn't love you. But I do. I do love you. If you open those beautiful eyes, I'll look right into 'em, and I'll swear I love you. So don't leave me. You're my angel. Don't leave me.

Kendall's voice: Tell me you'll never leave me. Tell me we'll be ok.

Kendall: Where's Aidan? I mean Tom? No. Actually, I mean Aidan. Aidan. Aidan Devane. That's his real name. His name is Aidan Devane, and my name is Kendall Slater, and we're on the run. We've been on the run this whole time, but we don't have to be anymore because finally, thank God, my name has been cleared, and I'm free to go home with my husband -- oh! Oh!

[Aidan comes up behind Kendall and knocks her out with chloroform on a cloth over her mouth]
