Liza: Oh -- on second thought, let's go wait outside.
Tad: What?
Liza: Hmm.
Tad: On second thought, lead the way.
David: Martin?
Tad: So close.
David: I'm looking for your brother. Any idea where I can find him?
Tad: Try a GPS.
David: All right, listen. I don't give a damn about Jake, ok? I'm supposed to meet Amanda here. She's late.
Tad: Well, maybe she came up with something better to do, you know? Like a root canal, or a total body cavity search. Either of those would qualify as more fun than sitting down to lunch with you.
David: Hmm. Well, actually, we're skipping the lunch and getting right down to business: Making a baby.
Amanda: Stop looking at the clock.
Jake: Well, we can't hide in bed all day long.
Amanda: Why not?
Jake: Yeah, don't. That's -- that's not fair.
Amanda: What? You mean this?
Jake: Hmm -- please, please. Please don't do that, please.
Amanda: You're right. It is not polite to tease.
Amanda: Jake, please. Jake, I -- I need this. I need you. Make love to me.
Colby: Pregnant?
J.R.: It's unbelievable, isn't it?
Colby: First Annie brainwashes Dad into marrying her. Now they're having a baby? How did this happen? I know how it happened. I just can't believe it is happening. I'm stuck in the nightmare that won't end.
J.R.: No, Adam is. Thanks to this baby, Annie's got him for life.
Annie: I wanted to give Adam a baby. Now I find out chances are I can't -- ever. What am I going to do?
Scott: Just calm down. We --
Annie: Once again, Ryan finds a way to ruin everything. He ambushed me: "Surprise, Annie. You can't have children anymore." If Adam finds out that this pregnancy's fake, our marriage is over. I have to find a way to tell him before Ryan does.
Scott: No. Can we just take a minute to think about this?
Annie: I'll explain to Adam that it was out of love. You know, it was just to save him. That won't be a lie. Ok, yes, it will crush him, but it will be a million times better than if he hears about it from anybody else. No, no, no, Adam needs to hear it from me.
Adam: I'm listening.
Ryan: Annie is gonna play right into our hands. We just got to give her a little bit of time.
Erica: Ryan, I don't have time. Kendall found out that Annie and Adam got married. She completely panicked. She almost turned herself in.
Ryan: What?
Erica: Zach talked her down -- for now. But you know Kendall. You know that she's very impulsive. She could do something rash any minute.
Ryan: It's not gonna be much longer, Erica. It's not. Annie knows that if she doesn't tell Adam, I will. So she will tell him. And once she does, once Adam knows that there is no baby, he's gonna do right by his brother.
Erica: Look, I can't afford to wait for a mentally ill woman to make her next move. My daughter's life is on the line.
Ryan: Where are you going?
Erica: I'm going to tell Adam that he's protecting a child who doesn't exist.
Ryan: No, I can't let you do that.
Liza: We get it -- you won. So stop gloating.
David: All right, you know something? Why don't we stop pretending that I'm the only one that benefits from this arrangement? Martin here caught a huge break.
Tad: Oh, I'm supposed to be grateful? Is that it?
David: Yeah, you're damn right.
Tad: Why?
David: You left my infant son in an alleyway, you moron. And then you tried to keep me from knowing Trevor even existed. Did I press charges? Did I demand that you be punished in any way? No. Instead I gave you a way out.
Tad: Oh, come on. Be serious. You blackmailing Amanda to be your baby mom is not a way out. It's a way for you to keep her hostage.
David: Amanda sees it differently: As an opportunity.
Tad: Oh, by all means. Where is she?
Jake: You have a contract. You have a contract that says we cannot have sex until after the baby's born. It's a legal-binding thing.
Amanda: You're my husband. But it's all about what David wants. What about us? What we want?
Jake: Baby, please. It's frustrating and it's tough, and I get that. But just try to keep your eye on the prize.
Amanda: I am. Can I kiss the prize?
Jake: Oh, please. We -- we have to go, honey. We have to go. We have to go.
Amanda: Oh, come on.
Jake: Look, I know that it's tough.
Amanda: David can wait.
Jake: I understand, and I -- I can't wait, though. Ok? I'm 1,000% behind you. But if you don't do the procedure today, then we're gonna have to wait another month. And that's not happening because that'll push me over the edge. So we get this behind us, you do it, and then we are free to be a family. We can stay in bed all day long if you please.
Amanda: Sure. That could happen in about 18 years.
Jake: Years? Why years?
Amanda: Two babies in the house? David constantly showing up for visits? It doesn't exactly spell "romance."
Jake: Well, it does to me. That sounds like heaven to me.
Amanda: Which part?
Jake: The part where David is the visitor, and I'm not the visitor. And you're in the kitchen making pancakes or flapjacks, whatever -- at least, you're trying to -- and we are free to be our own little family.
Amanda: I can't wait.
Jake: Well, I can't wait either. And after this baby comes, we'll figure out a way to get rid of David forever.
Colby: We need a plan, some way to save Dad.
J.R.: It's a little late for that, Colby.
Colby: He's only staying with Annie because she's pregnant.
J.R.: With his child apparently. You think he'd turn his back on a Chandler heir? Look, I've tried to talk to Adam, a million times. The man's a lost cause.
Colby: So that's it? We just give up? You're gonna stop calling him "Dad"? Let our evil stepmother take over his life? He needs help.
J.R.: Yeah, in the worst way. But take it from me, Colby. You can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves. He's moved on. He's made his choice. Accept it. I have.
Colby: I can't just cut him out of my life. I've tried.
J.R.: He doesn't want us as family anymore. He wants to start a new one with Annie.
Colby: You can blow him off, but he'll always be our father.
J.R.: No, our father was a smart, strong, shrewd man. The guy I see? I have no idea who he is.
Colby: First the drugs messed with his head, now Annie. She's using this baby to trap him.
J.R.: Look, Colby, just walk away. It's for the best.
Colby: I won't give up. The real dad is in there somewhere.
J.R.: No, he's not. I already told you. He doesn't care about us anymore. He only cares about Annie.
Colby: If that's true, I have to see it for myself.
Adam: Whatever it is, you can tell me. Annie?
Annie: It's about the baby.
Adam: Is everything all right?
Annie: I'm just -- I don't know how to tell you this.
Scott: You want me to do it? Hmm? Annie, uh, Annie's upset that if she tells you this, it will upset you.
Adam: Annie. You can tell me anything. I'm your husband. Come on. Come on, out with it.
Scott: Uh, Annie's afraid that you're no longer going to help her get custody of Emma now that you know that your own child is on the way.
Adam: Annie, I know how much you love Emma. Why would you think I wouldn't want her?
Annie: I -- I just, um, you know, Emma's not yours. She's Ryan's. And Ryan has been so horrible to you lately. And what he did at our wedding --
Adam: Yeah. But through this whole horrible, wretched mess, the person who has given me the most help is your daughter, Annie -- I mean, other than you, of course. But she -- she kept that horrible secret and tried to protect me. So her loyalty makes her a member of this family, just as much as our new baby will be.
Annie: You really mean that?
Adam: Oh, of course. I'm gonna go talk to Barry right now. I'm gonna have him draw up the petition for full custody.
Annie: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Why didn't you tell him about the baby?
Scott: Change of plans.
Erica: I don't need your permission to go see Adam.
Ryan: What happens if you do? You go in there and you drop a bomb like this, and Adam knows that we've tried every trick in the book to nail Annie. He's just gonna think this is our next one. It's got to come from her.
Erica: Ryan, this is Annie's last chance to hold on to Adam. There is no way that she's going to admit that she's faking a pregnancy.
Ryan: Well, maybe not, but I still -- I backed her into a corner. She's gonna try something desperate to protect herself. And when she does, I will be there to bust her.
Erica: So once again my daughter's fate is in Annie's hands?
Ryan: Both of our daughters' fate.
Erica: I'm gonna go over there. I'm gonna tell Adam right now.
Ryan: Ok, you say Kendall is impulsive. If you go in there right now, you barge in and you ambush him, you're gonna be acting exactly the same way.
Erica: Well, so what? I mean, what is wrong with being a little spontaneous? Why do we have to think before we act all the time? Agonize over every move we make? I don't know about you, but I am so damn tired of being careful.
[Door slams]
Liza: Well, I'm gonna have the sand dabs. What are you thinking?
Tad: I'm thinking I can't believe you're more concerned about your fish entree than the shark that's circling my family. The man's forcing Amanda to carry his child. How can you possibly be ok with that?
Liza: All I did was help him draw up a contract.
Tad: [As Liza] All I did was help him draw up his contract. [Normal voice] So you're telling me you're ok with the idea that Hayward is using my brother's wife as his own personal bun warmer? That doesn't faze you at all? Why don't you do your job, huh? As a counselor, why don't you counsel your clients to do something that's in their best interest?
Liza: It was the only way that David was gonna allow them joint custody of Trevor.
Tad: I don't believe that.
Liza: It -- it was.
Tad: Listen, what's gonna happen when he pulls the rug out from both of them? What are you gonna do then?
Liza: It's not going to happen because that contract -- it's airtight. There is no vague language. There is no loopholes. Believe me, if he tries anything, he's gonna lose both his children.
Tad: Right now I'm more concerned about what Jake is gonna lose.
Jake: Hey.
David: It's about time. Did you bring Amanda?
Jake: She'll be here.
David: Great. Can I buy you a drink?
Jake: No. That's all right. I'll pass.
David: Might help ease the pain. You know, I got to say it must be a real blow to the ego, knowing that you screwed up so royally that your wife has to have a baby with another man.
Jake: All you're doing is making a deposit in a cup. We are -- we're working on a real family.
Amanda: I love you so much.
Jake: I love you, too, baby. Right. Um, I'll see you at the hospital.
David: Oh, actually, we're having the procedure at a clinic out of town. Don't worry. Dr. Hines will be there.
Amanda: But you said we were going to PVH.
David: Yeah, but that was when I was still chief of staff. I mean, ever since I stepped down, my successor's been doing everything she can to undermine me. So I'm sure you can understand why I don't want to do anything there, let alone conceive a child.
Jake: We had a deal, you guys, and it's signed. And it doesn't say anything in there about an out-of-town clinic.
David: What are you taking about? We never specified a location. If you want to take a look at the contract, your lawyer's right over there.
Amanda: Should we talk to Liza?
David: Um, you know, I'll be happy to wait, if that's what you really want, but you might want to rethink that. It's bad enough that Jake brought you here late. So if we don't show up on time, we might have to wait for another month.
Amanda: No. This has to happen today. The sooner we do this, the sooner we get to be together.
David: Ok. Well, then we really have to get going.
Amanda: I'll call you as soon as I get there, ok?
Jake: All right.
Ryan: Hey. Can I talk to you for a second?
Jake: Hey. Sure. What's up?
Ryan: Kendall.
Jake: Is everything all right?
Ryan: Could be a lot better if she was home with her kids. And I have a way to make that happen.
Jake: God, I wish I could help you with that.
Ryan: You can.
Annie: Ryan has information that could ruin my life.
Scott: Exactly.
Annie: So I have to break it to Adam first.
Scott: Do you? Because if I'm Ryan and I know everything, why am I coming to you? No, no, no. My best chance is a direct attack. Tell Adam the truth about the pregnancy, Adam gets so upset, he admits to the murder. Ryan could do that at any time. Why is giving you a chance for damage control?
Annie: Oh. So you think he's bluffing?
Scott: Yeah. Maybe he's setting you up. Maybe he told you you can't have kids to force you to go to Adam.
Annie: That's sick.
Scott: You're not exactly in a place to be judging.
Annie: You know what? It doesn't matter if Ryan is bluffing or not. I'm a walking lie right now. I need to stop this before it's too late. Will you help me?
Scott: How?
Annie: Throw me down the stairs.
Scott: Annie, Annie, Annie? You're not really pregnant. You don't have to fall.
Annie: But I do have to convince Adam that I lost the baby.
Scott: Ok. And in this case, he's gonna think that it's my fault. And then what? He kicks me out of his life, because I killed his unborn child. It works great for you, not so much for me.
Annie: You know what? I really don't have time to argue. Ok? Even if Ryan played me, he still has time to play Adam.
Scott: So then you just tell Adam that it's bull. What? Do you think he's gonna believe Ryan over his own wife?
Annie: No. But there would always be some kind of suspicion. Adam would look at me and wonder, "Can I trust her?" And he'd be right. I need Adam to believe me.
Scott: Or at least believe your latest lie.
Annie: You know what? I have worked too hard to get where I am at. If I do not lose this pretend baby, I will lose everything.
Scott: So double over and fake a few cramps, because there is no way I am pushing you down the stairs.
Adam: No, no. Barry, joint custody will not suffice. No. I want to have this child in my home permanently. You call me when you get back the paperwork, ok? Good. Ah. Well, what a nice surprise. To what do I owe this pleasure?
Colby: Thank you, Daddy. Thank you.
Adam: Well, you're welcome. What did I do?
Colby: Saved me from having to make some big speech to set you straight. You did it. You're going to full custody of the child and giving Annie the boot.
Adam: Oh, no, no, no. You misunderstand. I'm -- Annie is not going anywhere.
Colby: But you just told Barry you want the child.
Adam: Yes, yes. We were talking about Emma. We're suing Ryan for full custody. Annie and I want to raise our family under one roof.
Colby: Your family?
Adam: Yes. Our family. So we want to raise -- keep our children together.
Colby: Where should I be?
Ryan: Ok, ok, here's the thing. Annie's gonna show up at the hospital, and she's gonna be -- she's gonna pretend that she's had a miscarriage. Ok, what I want you to do is I want you to prove that that's not the case: That she just created this whole thing, she made up this baby. Can you do that?
Jake: Well, sure. All it takes is an exam and a blood test to prove if she's faking or not faking.
Ryan: She's definitely faking, Jake. Annie needs to hang on to Adam, so she's created this whole thing. She's made up this baby.
Jake: Wow. I'm sorry you're going through this. I really am. I -- I can't believe that you have a mom for Emma that is capable of doing anything.
Ryan: Busting Annie is the only way that I can protect Emma.
Jake: You know, kids really deserve parents whose love is pure. They really do.
Ryan: So you'll do this, then? You'll help me?
Jake: Yeah. You know, I'll do whatever I can. The problem is if Annie's trying to do this, she's not gonna want Adam near the hospital. Because if he is near the hospital, that's one thing. But if he isn't, I'm not gonna be able to tell him whether she's faking or not.
Ryan: Why not?
Jake: Because it's patient-doctor confidentiality. So at the end of the day, it would still be your word against his when it comes to her faking it or not.
Ryan: Ok, well, don't worry about that. I will handle that. Just make sure you are the doctor that she sees when she shows up at the hospital.
Jake: All right. All right. Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: Ok.
Tad: Liza, Jake detests Hayward. How can you possibly expect him to go along with this?
Liza: Jake is going along with it so he can be with Amanda and so they can be with their son. Is it an ideal situation? No. It's far from it. But every single moment that those two are apart, it's absolute torture for them. What are you doing?
Tad: "Whatever." As in whatever the answer is, I'll tell you what it isn't. It isn't bringing another Hayward into the world.
Liza: All right, do you remember when Kathy was missing?
Tad: What about it?
Liza: Your endless days? Your sleepless nights? You were completely consumed with bringing your child home, weren't you? Was there anything that you would not have done to bring her back? And that's how I felt when Colby ran away. And now Jake and Amanda are doing the same thing for Trevor. It's the same reason why they faked his death, why you helped keep it a secret. How is it any different than me helping them?
Tad: Liza, the difference is I was working against David Hayward. You're helping him make his dreams come true.
Liza: I'm sorry. I don't see it like that. Hi.
J.R.: Hey. Do you have a moment?
Tad: For you, I have a couple.
J.R.: I meant Liza. I need some legal help.
Liza: Yeah. Shoot.
J.R.: I'd like to get Adam declared insane.
Adam: Of course, you're part of our family. You always will be. I love you.
Colby: You loved Uncle Stuart, too, but you forgot all about him.
Adam: No, no, that's not true. I ache for Stuart every day. But I'm not gonna let my grief stop me from living. Stuart wouldn't want that.
Colby: Does that work for you? Ease your conscience? Make you feel less guilty about killing your own brother?
Adam: What happened to Stuart was a horrible mistake.
Colby: Just like Annie having your baby.
Adam: Ohh --
[Annie screams]
[Annie groans]
Scott: Annie, you -- oh, Annie, no.
Adam: What -- what happened?
Annie: I fell.
Adam: My God -- the child, the baby.
Erica: I came just as soon as I got your message. Why did you want me to meet you here?
Ryan: I figured out what Annie's desperate move is gonna be. She's gonna show up here pretending to have lost the baby. And I already have Jake standing by to do the exam.
Erica: So we can prove that she was never pregnant to begin with?
Ryan: All we got to do now is wait.
Erica: I can do that. I'm sorry I snapped at you earlier. You were right. Now is definitely not the time to act impulsively. Kendall has way too much at stake.
Ryan: I'm not so sure about that. I mean, maybe we are being a little too careful with some things.
Erica: So now you think that we should confront Adam? I thought that Annie had to do it.
Ryan: I'm not talking about Adam. I'm talking about us.
Amanda: Why did you get off the highway?
David: Relax.
Amanda: Don't tell me to relax. Tell me where you're taking me.
David: On a shortcut. If your useless husband had dropped you off on time, we'd be at the clinic already.
Amanda: Oh, my God, it's pitch-black out here, David. There aren't even any signs.
David: You want to get there on time? We take the back roads. So why were you late anyway?
Amanda: I don't want to talk about it. In fact, I really don't want to talk.
David: Fine by me.
Amanda: How much longer?
[Engine sputters and stops]
David: Well, I guess that depends when we can get a lift.
Jake: Did anybody call?
Nurse: Not since you asked five minutes ago.
Jake: Can I get the yellow pages? Thanks. Hmm.
[Phone rings]
Nurse: West Valley Clinic.
Jake: Yes. Hi. My wife should be over there. Her name is Amanda Martin. I just wanted to -- it might be under Hayward, also. I just wanted to see if they got started.
Nurse: I'm not at liberty to give out that information.
Jake: Well, I just wanted to know, you know, at least --
Nurse: Sir, I'm sorry. I'm not at liberty to discuss that.
Jake: Oh, hold on a second. I'm not some weirdo calling up, ok? I'm her husband, and I'm also a doctor over at Pine Valley.
Nurse: Then you should be familiar with privacy rules. Have a nice evening.
Jake: I am --
[Line disconnects]
Jake: Familiar.
Annie: Adam, I'm -- I'm fine. I just -- aah. I slipped coming down the stairs. I'm not hurt. I'm just -- just embarrassed.
Adam: You're going to the hospital. Call an ambulance.
Annie: Oh, no, no, no, no. It was nothing. It was nothing.
Adam: You -- you are pregnant. You need to be seen by a doctor.
Annie: What? So he can tell me to just come back here and rest? No. No. If it'll make you feel better, I'll go upstairs and lie down, ok?
Adam: Ok. I don't want you climbing the stairs, though.
Scott: Ok. I -- I got her. Come on.
Adam: Just be careful. Be careful. Be careful. That's -- that's my wife and -- and our child. Uh, she'll be fine.
Colby: Of course, she will. Annie never stays down for long. She's too set on getting what she wants.
Adam: I'll be fine, too, just in case you were worried.
Colby: I'm not. Not anymore. You want to let Annie trash your life? Go for it. I'm gone.
J.R.: Adam has lost his mind.
Liza: Well, I don't disagree with you on that. Only, you can't just wave a wand and throw him in Oak Haven.
J.R.: I've done it before. One phone call had the men in white come take him away.
Liza: Well, that was probably just a temporary thing. Listen, you need grounds to declare Adam insane.
J.R.: He loves money, lives for it. He married a serial killer without a prenup. What more grounds do you need?
Liza: Well, unfortunately, being stupid and being crazy is -- it's not the same thing. But at least as far as the law is concerned.
Tad: We get it, kiddo. I get the fact that you want to protect Adam. But having him tossed in a rubber room? It's kind of extreme, isn't it?
J.R.: It's not about protecting Adam. It's about protecting everyone else.
Tad: I'm sorry. I don't follow.
J.R.: He hasn't been himself lately.
Tad: What do you mean? Like, you think he's gonna hurt somebody?
J.R.: Just trust me. He needs to be locked up.
Tad: J.R., what's going on?
J.R.: He killed Uncle Stuart.
Ryan: So -- so what are we these days? What are we calling this?
Erica: I thought we agreed not to call ourselves anything. No labels.
Ryan: Yeah, that's right. No labels. Well, obviously it's been a little bit complicated lately, been a little bit busy. But we're very close to getting Adam to confess, and once he does, Kendall will be free and -- well, we'll have a lot more time on our hands.
Erica: Any plans for all that time?
Ryan: Yeah. I plan to spend it with you.
Tad: What on earth would put that idea in your head?
J.R.: Look, the signs were all there.
Liza: We just didn't see them.
Tad: What do you mean, "We"? You, too? You honestly think that Adam shot Stuart?
Liza: Ryan and Zach convinced me.
J.R.: I got mine from Marissa. She pieced it together.
Liza: And this whole time we thought that Annie was marrying Adam, so that he couldn't testify against her.
J.R.: When actually it was the other way around. It was so Annie couldn't testify against Adam.
Tad: Annie's innocent? And all this time she's been protecting him?
Liza: Yes. Now Mr. and Mrs. Chandler get off scot-free, and Kendall takes the fall.
J.R.: And nobody knows who the killer is.
Tad: Wait, wait, wait, wait. No. Adam -- Adam loved Stuart. He worshiped him. He -- he wouldn't shoot his own brother. That doesn't make any sense.
J.R.: Nothing he does makes sense. He's different. He's dangerous to us, to everyone else. Look, I have worked my tail off for that company. I'll be damned if his whacked-out wife and he run it back into the ground.
Liza: Wait. Hold on a second. I thought that you were done with all of that.
J.R.: I am. I am. But Colby's not. She's hanging on. She thinks that Dad is gonna dump Annie and come back to the real family. But when she finds out the truth and it hits her, she's gonna need a lot to ease the pain.
Liza: Ok, I will take care of Colby. She does not need Adam's money, and you don't need to fight Adam. Look, I think you need to just let go of this whole insanity thing. Huh? It's just gonna drive you crazy. Excuse me.
Tad: Hey, hey. She is right. Look, thank God you got your entire future ahead of you. You -- you can't waste it running after Adam or his mistakes if what you say is true.
J.R.: This isn't about me. This is about Colby. This is about Little Adam's legacy. What am I supposed to do, Tad? I'm supposed to sit back and watch Adam destroy everything?
Tad: J.R., you're supposed to live your life. Remember? The one you just got back.
J.R.: And I thank God every day that I'm in remission. But if I don't do something, Annie will take everything, everything that the Chandlers have worked for.
Tad: But you don't need it. J.R., you're brilliant. You and Marissa and Colby, you could build something of your own. You can have this fresh start. Look, take it from me. It took a bullet in the head for me to realize that I had to drop all the garbage I'd been lugging around and start doing things that made me happy. I thought you were headed in the same direction.
J.R.: That's before I realized that Adam --
Tad: J.R., your father's expectations had you in a box your entire life. Breaking out of it was a start of getting over your cancer. You start chasing after your father or what he's done, you're headed right back to what made you sick in the first place.
Amanda: What the hell, David? Didn't you see the red light come on?
David: Excuse me. It wasn't like I wasn't racing against the clock.
Amanda: What are we gonna do now? There aren't any gas stations around here.
David: Ok, all right. Just try to relax, ok? I'll go out and try to flag down a car.
Amanda: I can't remember the last time I saw another set of headlights. Just call a tow truck.
David: Yeah, of course. That's -- of course. That's a great idea. Yes, hi. Is this emergency services? Yeah, I ran out of gas on Route 5 just past Ridge Road. Can you send a tow truck, please? Are you kidding? That long? All right. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'll be here. Where are we gonna be?
Amanda: How long?
David: He said he would do his best, but it looks like it's gonna be in the morning.
Amanda: What?! We could be stuck here all night? You son of a -- you did this on purpose.
David: Wait a minute. What are you talking about?
Amanda: You did this so that I couldn't get pregnant for the first month.
David: I simply neglected to put gas in the tank.
Amanda: Oh, my God, that is such bull. I just want to get to the clinic. I want my family back! I want Jake!
David: Amanda, I'm sorry. Ok? I've just been so preoccupied lately. All I can think about is this baby. But look, we're gonna create a new life. Right? Really, is there anything more beautiful and more important in the world? So it's ok. I mean, if we have to wait another month --
Amanda: No! It is now or never.
Liza: Hey, Colby, what is it? What's going on?
Colby: I'm an idiot. You were right. Dad doesn't care about anyone but Annie. She's completely wiped us out of his life. God, it makes me mad.
J.R.: I know, I know. I was so mad that I asked Liza to help me throw him in Oak Haven. I realized that's not gonna solve anything. We just got to let it go. I know it's hard, but it's what we got to do. Don't worry. No matter what, I'll always be here for you.
Liza: And, baby, so will I.
Scott: Where's Colby?
Adam: Gone. Like all the others: J.R., Hayley, Skye. And now my baby girl. Mm-hmm. They all, all my children, hate me.
Scott: No. No, Uncle Adam. Look, Colby's an adult. She needs her freedom, her independence, her own life. I did, too. That's why I left my dad, and I moved to New York.
Adam: Stuart stifled you?
Scott: No. No, not at all. I loved every minute with him. But I had to leave the nest, and he understood that. He said, "Go. Spread your wings and fly." So I did, and that's all that Colby is doing.
Adam: No, no, no, no. This is -- this is different. She and her brother think that Annie has put a spell on me. And if love is a spell, then they're right. They are right. Annie has bewitched me. How about you?
Scott: Me?
Adam: Yeah, yeah. When your father was killed right here in this room, I didn't think you ever would step foot in this room again. But you did. You moved right back in with me and with Annie. Have you been bewitched again? Hmm?
[Annie pants]
Adam: Honey? Whoa. What's the matter? What's happened?
Annie: I think I lost the baby.
Jake: Hey, guys. No, no. No sign of Annie yet.
Ryan: But you'll let us know as soon as she shows up, right?
Jake: Yes. I will do the exam. I made sure that I'd be here all night. So whatever happens, happens.
Nurse: Dr. Martin?
Jake: Yeah? Did my wife call?
Nurse: No. Paramedics were summoned to the Chandler mansion. The patient is Mrs. Annie Chandler.
Jake: Right. All right, get the room ready, stat.
Amanda: I swear I will do it, David. I will back out of the contract.
David: All right, look, let's not overreact. Ok? If we wait a month, it's not the end of the world.
Amanda: If I get pregnant. There's no guarantee that it will happen right away.
David: Amanda, come on. You're young. You're healthy. We conceived Trevor like that, right? So why should it be different?
Amanda: This time it's artificial. Clinics, doctors -- I have no idea how my body's gonna react to that. Trevor was drunken sex.
David: But it worked, didn't it? Like a charm.
Amanda: Wait. You're not suggesting that we --
David: I thought you were.
