David: Amanda's in violation of our agreement.

Liza: How so?

David: She's out with Jake doing heaven knows what. Our contract clearly stipulates --

Liza: No, I know what the contract stipulates. I was the one that drew up that lunacy myself.

David: Then do something. The soon-to-be mother of my children should not be out until all hours.

Liza: Ok, first of all, Amanda is an adult. And besides, the only reason that she is actually doing this is because she wants her life back with Jake and her son.

David: And she will get her life back, ok, if she plays by the rules. It's as simple as that.

Liza: Not if you make it impossible.

David: Oh, jeez.

Liza: You know, David, you don't even want a child. All you really want to do is drive a stake between Jake and Amanda.

Jake: Well, that's never gonna happen. Hate to disappoint you.

Zach: Come on, Kendall. Why aren't you answering?

Kendall: Oh, my God, it's Zach. It's Zach. He says -- he says he misses me, and he's so glad that I'm safe. He also says that he was way too tough on you, and that he wants me to thank you for him.

Aidan: Wow. I'm glad.

Kendall: Zach's not the only one who's grateful. It's kind of weird, isn't it?

Aidan: What is?

Kendall: With all this stuff going on with Adam, Zach took the time out to write this to me.

Aidan: Well, he misses you. Doesn't sound strange to me.

Kendall: Yeah, but, I mean, no -- no nothing about the progress or his plans? No mention of anything. Are you sure all the messages are going through?

Ryan: What if Annie hasn't been covering up for her own guilt this entire time? What if she's been covering up for somebody else? What if Adam killed Stuart?

Erica: Ryan, that's impossible. Adam adored Stuart. You know that.

Jesse: Why would Adam shoot Stuart?

Ryan: I have absolutely no idea. But maybe Adam doesn't know either. He was hopped up on pills that whole night, right? Maybe he has no idea what happened --

Erica: But he does. He does. He remembered. We saw him. He remembered seeing Annie shoot Stuart.

Ryan: But we don't know what he remembered. I mean, if it was Annie, why hasn't he got her locked up by now?

Erica: Because it's -- you know, it's complicated. But in his own warped way, I believe that Adam loves that psychopath.

Ryan: "But not as much as he loved Stuart." Those are your words. Our plan worked, Jesse. Adam did remember who murdered his brother. It just turns out it wasn't Annie.

Annie: You've been punished enough.

Adam: No.

Annie: You've lost your brother.

Adam: No, I have not been punished enough. The only way I'm gonna pay for this is to confess.

Scott: Uncle Adam, you can't do that.

Adam: You both have gone to extraordinary lengths to help me, to protect me, and I appreciate that. But to keep this inside? He was my brother! For God sakes, he was your father! He was the only good part of me.

Annie: Don't say that.

Adam: It's true.

Annie: But you could lose me. I could lose you. Our family, Adam.

Adam: Was destroyed the minute I pulled the trigger.

Annie: What are you doing?

Adam: I'm turning myself in. 

Annie: Listen, stop this. It was an accident. You didn't know!

Adam: Don't you understand? I killed him! He's my own flesh and blood.

Annie: I know.

Adam: And you. He was your father, for God's sake.

Scott: Uncle Adam, it wasn't your fault.

Adam: Yeah? And how do you feel about watching your daughter keeping this secret?

Annie: Emma knows that you are not a bad person, ok? And this is after she witnessed what happened. If a 7-year-old girl can wrap her mind around this, you should be able to, as well.

Adam: I'm guilty! Give me that.

Annie: No. No! You shouldn't have to pay for something that was out of your control!

Adam: That's not up to you to decide. Agh --

Annie: Adam?

Scott: Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Annie: What's wrong? What's wrong?

Scott: What is it?

Adam: Medication.

Scott: Ok. I'll go get it.

Annie: No! No pills.

Ryan: I mean, remember what you said about Adam's face at Stuart's gravesite. He didn't look angry or vengeful.

Erica: He was in shock.

Ryan: He was in total agony.

Erica: But the gun -- he was aiming at Annie.

Ryan: So she says. And we all know what an incredible liar Annie is.

Erica: Yeah, she's a liar. But even so, why would he have the gun in the first place? Ryan, do you think that Adam tried to take his own life?

Ryan: I think it's a real possibility. I mean, knowing how much he loved Stuart -- oh, the guilt.

Erica: Yeah. That guilt would eat Adam alive. So you think that Annie has known about this all along?

Ryan: And she hasn't been protecting herself. She's been protecting Adam.

Erica: Well, isn't that one in the same? And then this was the secret that Emma was forced to keep.

Jesse: That would explain why she is afraid of that house.

Ryan: And why she doesn't want Annie marrying Adam.

Erica: But she came around.

Ryan: At the park, after she saw Adam and how upset he was about losing his brother. I mean, she probably realized that he didn't do it on purpose, that it was an accident.

Erica: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And Kendall is still out there on the run.

Ryan: Let's go to the mansion right now. With a little bit more pressure --

Jesse: No, no, no, no. You're not going anywhere. Neither one of you.

Aidan: Obviously the messages are getting through, Kendall, because you just heard from Zach.

Kendall: Uh, wow. Defensive much?

Aidan: What do you expect? One minute you're telling me how grateful you are, the next you're accusing me of something.

Kendall: I'm -- that's not what I'm doing at all, Aidan. And just so you know, I am extremely, extremely grateful. You have no idea how much. I'm just worried about Zach.

Aidan: I'm sure he's fine.

Kendall: Yeah. But for him to keep me in the dark like this?

Aidan: No, he just prefers to keep you in secret rooms.

Kendall: He did that to protect me.

Aidan: Well, maybe he's trying to protect you now.

Kendall: Maybe. But Zach has been so honest about everything going on at home. So why would he all of a sudden just shut down?

Aidan: Isn't that what Zach does? Isn't that what made you so upset about Liza?

Kendall: That was my crazy jealousy.

Aidan: Well, I wouldn't exactly call it crazy. Because they -- they did have sex.

Kendall: Once.

Aidan: All I'm trying to say is Zach's not exactly an open book, is he? He can't be easy to deal with.

Kendall: Yeah, exactly. And I'm just a walk in the park. This is stupid. Why are we even having this conversation?

Aidan: I don't know. It beats me.

Kendall: Well, you brought it up.

Aidan: A mistake, apparently. I'm just trying to help you, that's it.

Kendall: By reminding me of Zach's infidelity? Thank you so much, Aidan, but this is none of your business.

Aidan: Fine.

Kendall: Where are you going?

Aidan: I'm going for a walk to get some fresh air.

Jake: See, I wasn't aware that Amanda had a curfew. Oh, you know what you should do? You should give her one of those breathalyzer tests before she goes to bed every night, as well.

David: And don't think I won't if I have to. This is my child we're talking about.

Liza: Yeah, and Amanda's body.

Amanda: Not to mention I'm not even pregnant yet.

David: Our fertility consultation is first thing tomorrow morning.

Amanda: I know. I set it up.

David: And I would think that you would want to be well rested, that you would want to be in good form, right?

Amanda: Since when does what I want mean anything? I will be at the appointment tomorrow.

Liza: You're actually gonna go through with this?

Amanda: Yeah. And he's going to hold up his part of the bargain, isn't he?

David: Well, I guess that depends.

Jake: That depends on what?

David: On whether the two of you had sex tonight.

Annie: Drink this. Look how Adam's been acting -- scared, confused, and now his heart's giving him trouble?

Scott: Just like the night my dad died.

Annie: Exactly. Ryan and Erica and Zach -- they drugged him. Tried to re-create his state of mind to make him remember.

Scott: I thought Zach might've tried something like that the other day, but I couldn't prove it. Uncle Adam, did you take your pills tonight?

Adam: Yeah. Took it to calm me down.

Scott: Yeah, but they didn't calm you down. They made you worse. You -- Jake Martin prescribed these.

Annie: So? David Hayward could've gotten his hands on them. We have to get Adam to the hospital and get him the right medication.

Scott: And figure out what the hell is in this bottle.

Liza: You seriously just asked them that?

David: Do I really have to explain this to you? If they had sex, it interferes with the insemination process!

Jake: There was no sex. There was no interference. Not tonight. Are you satisfied?

David: I will be when I hear it from you.

Amanda: We didn't have sex.

Jake: "Sex."

Amanda: We're honoring the stupid agreement.

[Phone rings]

David: Dr. Hayward. I'll be right there. It's the hospital. I have to go.

Jake: Oh, that is such a shame.

David: Apparently Adam Chandler was brought in. It's his heart.

Liza: Is it serious?

David: I hope so. From what I heard, he's still breathing. Would you please do me a favor and go over the contract with them once again? I want to make sure that we're all on the same page before we go through with the specialist tomorrow.

Amanda: She doesn't need to do that, David.

David: Humor me.

Liza: Huh.

Jake: All right. Should we get a blackboard and some chalk or something? Is this gonna be a long lesson?

Liza: Nah. No. My lessons are -- they're pretty short. You two are out of your mind.

Aidan's voice: The Feds are monitoring Zach around the clock -- phones bugged, mail opened, e-mail searched, 24/7 tail wherever he goes.

Zach: Kendall, is that you?

Kendall: Yeah. Yeah, it's me. Zach, it is so good to hear your voice.

Zach: We shouldn't be on the phone like this.

Kendall: I know. I know. But I had to.

Zach: Where's Aidan?

Kendall: What's going on with the plan to trap Adam?

Zach: I told you. We're close.

Kendall: How close?

Zach: We got to hang up, or they're gonna trace this call.

Kendall: No. Please -- please, Zach, just a few more seconds.

[Gunshot]

Kendall: Aah!

Zach: Kendall? Kendall?

Liza: What I'm saying is that this whole thing is total insanity. Look, I know you want custody of your child, your children. Trust me, I get that. But the way that David has set this up, he practically owns you.

Jake: That's not happening.

Amanda: We are committed to seeing this through.

Liza: Yeah. Just like David is committed to destroying the two of you.

Jake: You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna go out there and scrounge up an apple for this teacher. Maybe put her in a better mood.

Liza: Look, I don't mean to be a downer. Honest.

Amanda: No, I know. And you're right. David is David. But as much as he may want me for himself, I want Jake even more.

Liza: I know, because you two -- you -- you're the real thing.

Amanda: He has sacrificed so much for me and Trevor -- this baby he's never even met? We will be a family. I will do anything it takes to make that happen.

[Phone rings]

Liza: Excuse me.

Liza: Hello?

Zach: I'm in lockup. I need to get out now.

Liza: What did you do?

Zach: Kendall needs me.

Liza: Oh. Um, I'm sorry, but I -- I have to go.

Amanda: Oh. Is everything ok?

Liza: Yeah. Just, um, saving somebody else's family. Don't give up on yours, hmm?

Amanda: I won't.

Jake: Ok. What? She took off? Hmm. Are you hungry?

Amanda: Not really.

Jake: No.

Amanda: Looks like we're alone.

Jake: Oh. Well, what -- what would you like to do?

Amanda: Hmm. I think you know the answer to that question.

Jake: Yeah, but that's not an option, is it?

Amanda: What if I told you we could make love right here and not get in trouble?

Jake: Well, you know, the regular me would say sign me up. But if I know Hayward, and sadly I do, he's probably out there in the bushes right now with a pair of binoculars.

Amanda: Oh, yeah?

Jake: Mm-hmm.

Amanda: Let him watch.

Ryan: Come on, Jesse, we're so incredibly close to the truth. One more push and Adam will cave. I know he will.

Jesse: A push is what landed Zach in jail. Don't make me toss you in there, too. Listen, you just said yourself we're close. Why can't you trust me enough to take this the rest of the way? What? Am I really that bad a cop, Ryan? Jeter, what is it?

Ofc. Jeter: Could I have a word, Chief?

Jesse: Don't move. Is it about Kendall Slater?

Ofc. Jeter: No. Adam Chandler's just been admitted to the hospital. I thought you'd want to know.

Jesse: Thanks. Do me a favor and get my friends a cup of coffee. Keep your eye on them till I get back.

Ofc. Jeter: Ok. You got it.

Jesse: I got to make a run. Wait here till I get back.

Ryan: Are you kidding me?

Erica: There's no time for this!

Jesse: You can wait here or wait in a cell! Take your pick.

Erica: What are you doing here?

Liza: I'm here to bail out Zach. But if you would rather do it --

Erica: No, no, wait. Don't go. Uh, we didn't think this was going to work, right, honey?

David: Adam's heart rate is back to normal. His EKG shows normal sinus rhythm. No signs of a heart attack.

Scott: So he's ok?

David: If he takes it easy, he should be just fine.

Annie: Could we speak to you outside?

David: Sure.

Annie: Be right back. So what do you think caused the elevated heart rate?

David: Could be any number of things -- stress, fatigue.

Annie: Your whacked-out pills.

David: Excuse me?

Scott: My uncle took his medication tonight.

Annie: Yeah. It made him lose all sense of reality and nearly gave him a heart attack.

Scott: Strange, right? Isn't that what happened the night of my father's murder?

David: I don't appreciate what you're implying, Scott.

Annie: And I don't appreciate you drugging my fiancé -- then or now.

David: You need to get your facts straight.

Annie: Really?

David: Yeah. I had nothing to do with Adam's altered medication. A former nurse here at this very hospital took full responsibility.

Scott: Right. Yeah. Is that code for "she covered your ass"?

David: Watch it.

Scott: No, you watch it. Because we're having these puppies analyzed.

David: Ok, let me guess. Angie Hubbard is doing the honors, right? Oh, it looks like our good friend Jake Martin was the attending physician that day. Let's just hope this isn't another one of his colossal mistakes.

Angie: I'll decide who made the mistake.

Erica: I'm sorry I didn't realize that you were here to bail out Zach. Please, go, go, and make that happen. Please do it quickly. We have so much that we need to discuss with him.

Liza: About Kendall.

Erica: No, about Adam.

Ryan: Adam is sitting on a ton of information right now, Liza.

Liza: Well, if that's the case. He's sitting on it in the hospital.

Erica: What?

Liza: Yeah, there's something about his heart.

Erica: Oh, my God. Is he all right?

Liza: I -- I honestly don't know. I got to get working on Zach's paperwork.

Erica: Ok, of course.

Ryan: This is not good, Erica. We got to get to the hospital like, right now.

Erica: But we have to wait for Zach.

Ryan: No. There's no time to wait for Zach.

Erica: But you know Zach is gonna want to be involved in this.

Ryan: Which is why we can't wait for him. He's a loose cannon right now. You saw that for yourself. We can't risk him screwing this up. Are you coming?

Erica: Yes.

Ryan: Ok.

Kendall: Did you kill it?

Aidan: I scared it.

Kendall: Are you sure it was a snake? Because I don't see one anywhere.

Aidan: Yeah, I'm sure. And he won't be back.

Kendall: Ok.

Aidan: Did you use that?

Kendall: Yeah.

Aidan: Who did you call?

Kendall: Zach. Aidan, can you give that back to me, please? I need to let Zach know that I'm ok.

Aidan: Do you any idea what you've done?

Kendall: We only talked for a few seconds.

Aidan: A few seconds. Every call to Zach's phone is traced. That's why we agreed the computer only.

Kendall: Ok, I'm sorry, but you stormed out of here. I had no idea where you were.

Aidan: And you needed Zach to entertain you? Is that it?

Kendall: No. I needed to know what was going on with his plan to trap Adam.

Aidan: And? He didn't tell you anything, did he?

Kendall: No, but he said that they were close.

Aidan: Close?

Kendall: Yes.

Aidan: Great.

[Aidan throws the phone to the floor and stomps on it]

Kendall: Hey -- Aidan, what are you doing? Come on, Aidan!

Aidan: If you get the urge to call Zach again, you can consider the option eliminated.

Zach: Hey. Thank you. Can I go?

Liza: No. In a minute. In a minute. Thank you. Listen, while we're waiting here, why don't you tell me what is going on.

Zach: Kendall screwed up. She called my phone. So the Feds are probably out to find her now.

Liza: Well, I'm -- I mean, I'm sure that Aidan can handle this.

Zach: Aidan can't handle it. A gun went off before the phone went dead. I'm gonna find my wife.

Aidan: Well, we're definitely not safe, Kendall. The Feds are gonna be here in three hours, or maybe even less. Kendall, listen. We have to do everything we can to make it look like we weren't here. When the FBI arrives, this has to be a dead end.

Kendall: Ok. Well, what can I do?

Aidan: Make us disappear.

Jesse: Hey, I just want to ask him a few questions.

Annie: He's been given a light sedative.

Scott: Yeah. Just let him rest. Ok?

Jesse: Well, look at the two of you -- Ms. Frick, Mr. Frack. Make quite the team, don't you?

Annie: We both just care about Adam a lot, that's all.

Jesse: I can see that. Why don't I just hang out, wait till he wakes up?

Annie: And give him some more heart palpitations?

Jesse: I didn't realize I was that scary.

Annie: Well, your officers were already at the house. That's what put this whole episode in motion.

Jesse: "This episode" was put into motion long before my officers got involved. Cemetery, gun -- ring any bells?

Annie: Why can't you just leave my fiancé alone?

Jesse: Your fiancé. You know, I still can't wrap my head around that one. I mean, Adam's motives? Ok. But yours? I --

Annie: It's called love.

Jesse: Where I come from, it's called something different. Look, all right, since we got to wait, I'm gonna hit the vending machines. Anything, anybody? I'll take that as a no.

Scott: Was that weird? That was weird. Why would Jesse be hanging around, huh? Uncle Adam already told the police that he doesn't remember anything.

Annie: I guess they don't believe him. But there's something else. From day one, Jesse has treated me like the number one suspect until just now. I think they're on to Adam.

Erica: Excuse me. Do you know where Adam Chandler's room is?

Nurse: Um, 424.

Erica: Ok. Thank you so much. Thank you. Oh, no, let me. Please. Adam and I know each other a very long time. And underneath all his blustering, I think he trusts me.

Ryan: Even with something like this?

Erica: Especially with something like this. Adam knows that I value family more than anything. He knows that, and -- and it's one of the few things that we still have in common. So I really believe because of Kendall he'll tell me the truth.

Ryan: Ok. We do this your way.

Erica: Well, our way. I am gonna need your help.

Jake: Whoa. Oh, ok. Whoa. Let me get back here.

Amanda: No. Not until I explain the rules.

Jake: Ah. All right. Go ahead, Dave.

Amanda: Ha-ha-ha. Rule number one: No touching.

Jake: Oh. So we're gonna be doing this without touching? That's interesting. Is it like one of those virtual games? Does it have a joystick? Because I'm good with the control --

Amanda: Jake, will you listen?

Jake: Yeah. Sorry. Go ahead. Just proceed.

Amanda: This is no games, no joysticks. Just you, me, and our imagination.

Jake: Oh. Imagination. So we're gonna imagine that we're doing it?

Amanda: Yes.

Jake: We're not -- we're not actually going to do it?

Amanda: Well -- hmm. No.

Jake: No? Ok. Huh. So what you're saying is you're trying to kill me? That's -- that's what you're doing.

Amanda: This is going to be a test of endurance: Mental, emotional, and physical.

Jake: Wait. So you said the word "endurance." Because, you know, we've always discussed this, and we said when it comes to that, you thought I was, you know, way up there on the endurance.

Amanda: Oh, you are.

Jake: Because you always said that I was like the bunny with the rabbit thingy and the drums --

Amanda: Jake?

Jake: Yeah? Yes?

Amanda: You are by far the most amazing, incredible lover I have ever had.

Jake: Oh. See? You got me choked up there. I got to say the same about you. I mean, best I've ever had.

Amanda: Jake?

Jake: Yeah?

Amanda: That means you are going to be perfect for this.

Jake: Oh, good. Perfect. Perfect for what, exactly?

Kendall: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. How did you find us? Oh, my God, I've missed you so much!

Zach: Are you ok?

Kendall: I'm fine. I'm fine.

Aidan: Kendall, we've got to get -- what are you doing here?

Zach: Kendall called me. I heard a gunshot. I'm just making sure.

Kendall: I told you. I told you that he'd be afraid. Wanted to know that I was safe. There is -- there was snake, but it's gone.

Zach: You shouldn't have called me on the phone. It's not safe.

Kendall: Don't worry about it. Aidan destroyed the phone.

Zach: You shouldn't have had the phone in the first place.

Kendall: It's -- it wasn't Aidan's fault. I'm the one who took it. I took it without him knowing.

Zach: Any sign of the Feds?

Aidan: Nope. But I'm sure they're on their way, which is why we have to go.

Kendall: But Zach just got here.

Zach: He's right. It's not safe.

Kendall: No, Zach. How am I supposed to leave you again?

Zach: Hey, hey, hey.

Aidan: Ohh. Kendall, come on.

Zach: Not yet. Take it easy. One second. Here.

Kendall: My wedding ring.

Zach: Let's put it back where it belongs.

Aidan: It's not looking good.

Zach: What do you mean?

Aidan: We got visitors.

David: I thought you might want to take a look at Adam's test results. Looks like the old war-horse is doing just fine.

Angie: No thanks to you.

David: I'm sorry?

Angie: No, you're not. When are you gonna stop messing with people's lives? When you're bored? Dead? I'd appreciate a heads-up.

David: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Angie: Same makeup as the ones you fed Adam the last time.

David: Gosh, are we gonna do this again? Nurse Gayle owned up. You were there.

Angie: Is Nurse Gayle here now?

David: I guess you don't give a damn that Jake's name is on that prescription.

Angie: No, I don't because Jake didn't have anything to do with this. Look, why don't you tell the truth for the first time in your life, huh? Admit you switched the pills.

David: Ok. Fine.

Angie: "Fine"?

David: Yeah.

Angie: You're telling me you did this?

David: Yes, I am. Swapped the drugs for the meds -- I did that. But if you want to know who actually administered the stuff, you might want to talk to Zach Slater. Oh, and probably Ryan Lavery, too. Now, they're friends of yours, aren't they? You see, they were so intent on getting to the bottom of it, getting Adam to talk. You know, come to think of it, so was the chief of police.

Angie: Leave Jesse out of this.

David: Hmm. I have a sneaking suspicion he's smack in the middle of it. But, hey, it was all for a good cause, right? You see, everyone was trying to get to the truth: Find out who killed Stuart. You know, come to think of it, it was damn near heroic. Huh. Oh, I'm sorry. You don't see it that way? Ok. Fine. Go ahead. Sound the alarms. But when you do that, you should remember. You expose the content of those pills, you will expose your husband right along with them.

Angie: Think you've gotten away with this, don't you? You think again.

Jesse: He wake up? You know something? I don't get it.

Scott: Get what, Jesse? Hmm?

Jesse: How you can live with yourself.

Scott: Excuse me?

Jesse: Protecting these people when chances are they probably had something to do with your father's death.

Scott: I know you don't think Kendall did it.

Jesse: And I know you don't think Kendall did it either, Scott.

Scott: Jesse, my father is dead.

Jesse: I miss him every day.

Scott: Adam, J.R., Colby, and, yes, even Annie -- they're all I got left now.

Jesse: Doesn't mean you have to go along with their bad choices, Scott.

Scott: Isn't that what family does, huh? Rally around each other no matter what?

Jesse: Everybody has their limit.

Adam: Annie?

Annie: Hi. How are you feeling?

Adam: Get Jesse in here.

Annie: So you can confess? No. No.

Adam: I can't live with this guilt. Let me put an end to it.

Annie: No.

Adam: Well, if you won't do it, then I'll get somebody who will.

Annie: Stop this. Adam, stop this. Think about me. Think about Scott. We could be charged with accessory to murder.

Adam: I would never let that happen.

Annie: You wouldn't have a choice, Adam! Please listen to me. I -- I can't go to prison. Ok? Not now. Not -- not like this.

Adam: Not like what?

Annie: I'm pregnant.

Adam: What?

Annie: We're gonna have a baby!

Amanda: Close your eyes. I am kissing you gently on the lips. Do you feel that?

Jake: Oh, yeah. There we go. And you're wearing that strawberry lip-gloss that I like.

Amanda: And what are you doing to me?

Jake: I'm kissing your cheeks. I'm brushing the hair away from your face.

Amanda: Like you always do.

Jake: I'm kissing your neck and under your ear. I'm making my way down.

Amanda: Hmm. Down where?

Jake: Patient. Patient. I'll get there. You'll see.

Amanda: I'm taking your shirt off button by button, running my hands down your back.

Jake: I'm kissing your stomach. Every little piece of your stomach.

Amanda: Until I pull your face up, look in your eyes --

Jake: Was it as good for you as it was for me?

Amanda: I think it was better.

Angie: Tell me it isn't true. Did you know that Zach Slater asked David to cook up more drugs -- illegal drugs?

Jesse: Yes. But I didn't figure that out until after the fact. And the reason I didn't blow the whistle --

Angie: Is because everyone wants Adam to remember who killed poor Stuart.

Jesse: Yeah. And, baby, it may have worked.

Angie: You know what? I, uh, I analyzed those pills, Jesse. It was the same formula used to drug Adam the first time. Now, I can link David to those drugs, and I finally can bring him down. Except you know what? I can't. Because you freaking bent the rules again and left it on me to clean up the mess!

Jesse: What do you want me to say? We're trying to catch a murderer here. Every law enforcement agent in the country is trying to hunt Kendall down.

Angie: Desperate times, desperate measures? Well, it doesn't get more desperate than this.

David: I see you've been conferring with Jesse. Welcome to the dark side, Dr. Hubbard.

Angie: Oh, I wouldn't throw me a party just yet. I plan to go public with this analysis.

David: And throw your husband and your friends under the bus?

Angie: It would be worth it for you to lose your license. And, you know, there is really only one condition that would make me change my mind.

David: Ok. And what would that be?

Angie: You step your ass down as chief of staff.

Ryan: I want to see Adam.

Annie: No. He's not accepting visitors, especially the ones who put him in that bed.

Ryan: You can't hide him forever, Annie.

Annie: I can sure as hell try, Ryan. Now, get lost. Hey, I --

Ryan: No. I want to talk to him.

Annie: I said no.

Scott: Hey, you heard her. Leave.

Ryan: Not until I get some answers. I'm sorry.

Annie: No, Ryan.

Ryan: I need to talk to Adam. He's the only one who's got the answers. Ok?

Adam: Did Annie let you in here?

Erica: Annie is otherwise occupied, which gives us the time to chat.

Adam: What do you want, Erica?

Erica: The truth. Adam, please admit that you killed Stuart, and let my daughter come home. Adam, please. We figured it out. So, please, just do the right thing. Adam, I'm sure that once the judge hears all the extenuating circumstances -- that you were drugged out of your mind, that you were just insane with fear, and how much you loved Stuart -- I'm sure that they will go very easy on you.

Adam: I'm sorry. I can't confess.

Erica: Why not? You remembered.

Adam: Every last detail.

Erica: So you're saying nothing's changed? And you're gonna keep on pinning Stuart's murder on my daughter?

Adam: Yes, I am.

Aidan: It's now or never.

Kendall: There's so much I want to say to you.

Zach: There's gonna be plenty of time for that.

Kendall: Kiss the boys for me. Tell them that I love them. I love you.

Zach: I love you.

Aidan: Come on. Come on, we've got to go.

Zach: Go.

Kendall: Hey -- hey, wait. Wait.

Zach: Go. You got to go.

Aidan: Just stall the Feds.

Agent: FBI! Hands up!

Zach: Can't a man pray in peace?
