[Tad yells as he flies down the hospital corridor in a wheelchair while Krystal's exiting the elevator]

Jake: Somebody stop this man!

[When his wheelchair crashes, Tad lies on the floor covered in Krystal's yellow roses]

Tad: Get away from me. woah!

Krystal: Tad. Tad Are you all right?

Jake: Tad, are you all right. Good.  You're an idiot! You're a complete idiot

Tad: [Laughs] Ah, who says life isn't a bed of roses? Hee hee! See what I did there? [Laughs]

Jake: Yeah, I did.

[Tad laughing]

Liza: Excuse me. I'm looking for Adam Chandler's room.

Nurse: Oh, yeah, it's just right here.

Liza: Good morning.

Security Guard: Sorry, it's family only.

Liza:  I am family. Liza Colby.

Security Guard: I don't see you on it.

Liza: Well it's obviously an oversight. Listen, my stepfather is being buried today and I need to go over the funeral arrangements with his brother. Unless you'd like to tell Mr. Chandler that he's delivering the eulogy?

Security Guard: All right.

Liza: Thanks.

Adam: Which part of leave me the hell alone is tripping you people up?

Liza: I'd love to leave you alone, but I'd have to take my daughter with me.

Adam: Liza...ha.

Liza: Hello, Adam. It's been a long time. What,  Aren't you gonna congratulate me?

Kendall: You are bossy, said the turtle. But you don't have to be. So then Bossy Bear gave his friend the turtle the bossy crown. Come on let's go. Ok, this is sad.  I know, honey.  I'm not really  good at the voices am I? I'm really not. I'm sorry

Erica: Hey. Don't stop on my account.

Kendall: Oh please. I am sure poor Ian could use the break. I've been butchering his stories all morning.

Erica: No, I think you're doing a wonderful job.

Kendall: Well, not like Zach.

Erica: Have you heard anything further? I could call Jackson, and he could go down and see what kind of a deal he can make.

Kendall: Except Zach doesn't want a deal. He's going to jail for murder

Jesse: Can I get you anything Zach?

Zach: Yeah. Some answers would be nice.

Jesse: Well, you'll have to be a little more specific.

Zach: I plead guilty. I should be in some kind of a maximum security prison by now.

Jesse: No well I have a few questions of my own still.

Zach: Oh what do you need to know. What else do you need?

Jesse: Oh first of all. You can tell me what really happened the night that Stuart was killed? I've been going over your file. You left out a few really important details.

Zach: You're gonna have to be a little more specific, Jess.

Jesse: All right fine. All right, why didn't you tell me that Kendall was at the Chandler mansion the night Stuart was killed? On the terrace. With a gun. The same gun that killed Stuart Chandler. According to Forensics, her prints were all over that gun.

Krystal: These were for you. I thought you might need something to cheer you up, but it looks like you're doing just fine.

Tad: Of course, I am. I'm free. or at least reasonably priced.

Jake: Yeah, he actually is free. That's why I was wheeling him out in the wheelchair, and you know what if that thing is broken, you're paying for it. I'm not paying for it.

Krystal: No listen, hey if you need a ride, I will drive you home.

Tad: Yes. Thank you God, yes!

Jake: He doesn't need a ride. You know, I got it all covered. I've got the keys. I'm gonna get the car.

Tad: You stink. You stink. By the time we get to the parking lot, I'm out of here.

Krystal: Tad, is that a yes?

Jake: It's not a yes. We thank you but --

Krystal: Fight it out. I'm going to pull the car around.

Tad: That's a yes. Go, go, go. Retrieve the chariot, my Helen, my my Elena, my Aphrodite. Thank you. You look great.

Jake: Unbelievable

Tad: What is wrong with you?

Jake:  Do you see what's happening?  Do I have to spell it out for you? First it's gonna be flowers like it is, then it's gonna be rides home. Then she's going to be offering to take Jenny off your hands. Is that what you want?

Tad: Oh please.

Jake: Is that what you want?

Tad: You're just ticked off because I outed your lousy driving skills. [Laughs]

Jake: No in my...first of all, first of all, I'm an excellent driver, thank you. No now, first of all, I'm upset, ok?  I'm an excellent driver. What's gonna happen when your kid is calling Hayward Daddy. What's gonna happen then?

David: Good morning to you, too. Now, now. Is that the way to treat the father of your child?

Adam: What are you doing back in town?

Liza: I've come to reconnect with my daughter.

Adam: You ever heard of the telephone?

[Liza chuckles]

Liza: Yeah, well, this is not the kind of news that you leave on a machine.

Adam: Who's the poor bastard you duped this time? You going to steal his child, too?

Liza: Well, not that it's any of your business, but I got it from an anonymous donor.

Adam: From a sperm bank not owned by me, I hope.

Liza: Oh, don't think I didn't double check. But apparently, it was silly for me to worry. Turns out you don't own much these days, do you? How does that feel, losing your entire empire?

Adam: I still have Colby.

Liza: You say that as if somehow you're deserving of her love.

Adam: My daughter chose me, Liza. Live with it.

Liza: Adam, I miss my daughter.

Adam: Really? Well, that's interesting because I noticed you never came back for her. And it's a little late to play the doting mother. So why don't you just say thank you and go your waddling way?

Liza: Because I believe that my daughter can still be saved.

Adam: Oh, Colby? She's a remarkable young woman. God knows what she'd be like if she hadn't already saved herself from you.

Liza: Well, all of this from a man that breeds alcoholics.

Colby: Better an alcoholic than a murderer like you.

Zach: Even if Kendall's prints are on the gun, doesn't mean she pulled the trigger.

Jesse: No, but it does make her a prime suspect.

Zach: No further suspects. You got your guy.

Jesse: We've got a heart-broken mother thinking that her son is gone for good. Who wouldn't want to go looking for justice, Zach?

Zach: How many more times -- how many more times do I have to tell you? I thought my son was dead. I went after Adam to make him pay.

Jesse: Well, he did pay. His brother is dead. His family is in pieces. So is yours, it seems.

Zach: Well, my son's going to be fine. Live a full and healthy life.

Jesse: Without his father. It's not going to be easy for either one of you. Trust me. I know -- I've been there. Missing out on my son's life -- there wasn't a day that went by where I didn't wonder, did I make a huge mistake, Zach?

Zach: Yeah, I know. The difference is you had a choice.

Jesse: No, I didn't. You do have a choice.

Zach: To do what, unshoot him?

Jesse: Unconfess.

Zach: Why would I do that?

Jesse: Because the only reason you're doing this little dance, or whatever it is you're doing here, is to protect Kendall, and we both know that.

Kendall: No lawyer, no defense. Zach's made up his mind. He is going to jail.

Erica: The police think they have an airtight case, don't they?

Kendall: I thought so.

Erica: What does that mean?

Kendall: Jesse's been asking questions.

Erica: About you?

Kendall: Yeah. He knows where I was the night that Stuart was shot.

Erica: What did you tell him?

Kendall: Well, that I was at the Chandlers', and I was running away from the house when I heard the gun go off.

Erica: Alone? Not exactly an airtight alibi, is it?

Kendall: I didn't kill Stuart, Mom.

Erica: I'm not implying that you did.

Kendall: Well, then what are you implying?

Erica: Nothing. I'm just -- I'm trying to figure this whole thing out. Did Jesse say why he continues to ask questions when he has Zach's confession?

Kendall: I guess he's not convinced.

Erica: Well, honey, that makes you the top suspect. Does that worry you?

Kendall: If I had something to hide, maybe.

Erica: Kendall, did you see anyone, anything at all, anyone? Anyone who can vouch for your whereabouts?

Kendall: Well, just Ryan, but that was after the gun went off.

Erica: But then I'm going to guess that they brought Ryan in for questioning, too.

Kendall: I don't know. I haven't seen him. He's been so focused on Emma since the kidnapping.

Erica: Well, of course, he has. I mean, he thought he lost his child.

Kendall: There's nothing worse than that. And there's nothing a parent wouldn't do to protect that child.

Colby: Have you even told him why you're really here?

Liza: Colby.

Colby: It was Mom. She was the one trying to kill you.

Liza: That is completely untrue.

Colby: Innocent people don't ask their kids for fake alibis.

[Liza sighs]

Adam: What the devil is she talking about?

Liza: The night of the murder, I was in the house.

Colby: She asked me to lie to Jesse, to say I sent her away before Uncle Stuart got shot.

Adam: And that's not what happened?

Colby: No. And I told Jesse that, too.

Adam: Do you really think she would have protected you when you tried to kill her father?

Liza: I went into the house to find Colby.

Adam: And you found a gun instead.

Liza: You know what? You can just drop that because if Jesse thought I was guilty, he would have already arrested me.

Adam: Oh, what did you do -- blackmail him? Make him let you go that way?

Liza: No, actually, what I did was --

Erica: No, I don't think so. Officer, remove this woman from this room right away.

Adam: You know, on second thought, arrest her. Liza Colby tried to kill me.

Liza: Uh -- you have absolutely no grounds to take me in.

Officer: I'm under direct orders to detain anyone who poses a threat to Mr. Chandler.

Liza: Well, you better get some backup because there's going to be a very long line.

Erica: Can you imagine -- the nerve of her to come here and see you after everything she's done to you?

Adam: I'm afraid that kidnapping Colby was just the beginning. Liza Colby has far worse in store for me.

Kendall: Ok, sweet boy, I'm not making any promises, but I think I've got this train down pat. All right? So choo-choo, all aboard. Here we go. Ok, let's see here.

Angie: Am I interrupting.

Kendall: Oh, please. The woman who saved my son's life, not at all. Come in.

Angie: Hmm, how's he doing?

Kendall: Well, his heart is beating, thanks to you.

Angie: You know, I wish I could take the credit, but I told you, you really should be thanking Jake Martin. Because he refused to give up on you. Not even after everyone else would, including me.

Kendall: And me. And Zach. Ian has been our little miracle since the day he was born. Of course, he would pull through.

Angie: Oh, Kendall, you know, he was down for so long. I mean, even I was telling Jake that he needed to call it.

Kendall: Why couldn't we have just waited, just a few more minutes, a few more seconds before we let the grief swallow us whole?

Angie: You know, sometimes it just seems so impossible to believe when --

Kendall: But we should have believed. We should have stayed, and we should have trusted that our boy would pull through just like he always does. If we had, Scott Chandler and Ian would still have their fathers.

Jesse: Zach, I understand why you're doing what you're doing, taking the fall so Kendall won't have to --

Zach: I don't know what you're talking about.

Jesse: It's pretty clear you're still in love with the woman, and you would do anything to protect her.

Zach: Even if that were true, doesn't mean I'm protecting her now.

Jesse: You don't draw an X on a man's forehead for the entire world to see and then cop out, shoot him in the back.

Zach: I just wanted him dead. Didn't really care how that happened.

Jesse: You wanted to look him in the eye and see the fear before you took him out.

Zach: Yep, you're right about that. But we don't always get what we want, do we, Jess?

Jesse: No, we don't. Look, I have no doubt that you wanted Adam dead, that you wanted to kill him. I have no doubt that you would have gone through with it if Kendall hadn't beaten you to it.

Zach: You weren't there.

Jesse: I was there in the hospital when Ian flatlined.

Zach: Oh, I know.

Jesse: I saw you say goodbye to your son. And I remember thinking, where the hell is Kendall? My guess was halfway to Adam's house. But by the time you got there, it was too late, wasn't it?

[Zach recalls seeing Kendall aim a gun]

Jesse: So you went into damage control mode. You did everything in your power to make yourself look guilty including shooting at one of my men. You weren't trying to get away. Zach, you probably just fired off a round in the air to make all the evidence point to you instead of Kendall.

Zach: Sorry for interrupting you. Is that how you're going to spend my tax money -- going over crimes that have already been solved?

Jesse: Prints all over the smoking gun. Powder burns on your hands. Slam dunk for any DA, right? Until somebody blew your cover. Ooh, got your attention now?

Jesse: I'll be right back.

David: Popcorn.

Amanda: Don't get too comfortable, David. Jake's going to be back any second.

David: Ooh, I'm trembling at the thought.

Amanda: Fight him all you want. You'll lose.

David: Hmm, well, I seemed to have won yesterday. Your boyfriend's lame attempt to have me thrown out of the hospital fell embarrassingly short.

Amanda: Get out!

David: I got to tell you. It's really cute, though. I mean, this whole "stand by your man" mentality.

Amanda: Oh, shut up.

David: Unfortunately, your faith in that jackass is terribly misplaced.

Amanda: I trust him.

David: Really? Enough to risk everything? It's a huge mistake, Amanda, letting Dr. Incompetent go up against me. Because when I beat him, and we both know I will, you're the one who stands to lose the most. So you need to ask yourself, is Jake Martin really worth it?

Krystal: Your chariot.

Tad: Thank you, Jeeves. However, I will be requesting a change in itinerary.

Krystal: What? You don't want to go home?

Tad: In a manner of speaking. I thought we should go get the girls, go pick up a mess of our stuff, and head over to Wildwind.

Krystal: I'm sorry. I don't think I heard that correctly.

Tad: Now don't get me wrong, ok. This is just for a few weeks.

Krystal: You want to move in with David and me?

Tad: Well, the truth is my house is kind of over-stuffed, and I could use your help with the girls, ok? And you know, it's not like you don't have the room. You guys could be in the eastern turret, and me and the girls could be in the western. It would be like a Tolkien novel.

Krystal: Tad --

Tad: Look, and then in the evening, we just come down, be one big happy family, converge. There would be wine, women, song, games -- Parcheesi.

Krystal: Parcheesi?

Jake: Parcheesi.

Tad: What's wrong with Parcheesi?

Krystal: It's not the game.

Tad: Well, then what is it?

Krystal: Well, excuse me, but a couple of days ago, you wouldn't even allow Jenny to come over to my house, and now you're asking me to take her to live there? I don't --

Tad: With me. I'd be around to keep an eye on things.

Krystal: Yeah -- what about David?

Tad: What about him? What's going on? I thought you said -- you swore to me you wanted to spend more time with the girls.

Krystal: I did. I -- I do, Tad. It's just that -- I mean, I don't want to send the wrong message, all right? Especially to Kathy. I don't want her confused as to where we stand, you know?

Tad: Really?

Krystal: Yeah. Look, let's just keep the current situation, all right, the way it is in the current arrangement. It doesn't mean that I'm not going to help you.

Tad: Well, does that start now? Because I could really use a cup of water.

Krystal: Yeah, I'll get some water. And I'll meet you two by the car?

Tad: Yeah.

Jake: Mm-hmm.

Tad: Thanks a lot.

Jake: All right.

Tad: See what I did there?

Jake: Yeah, yeah, it's fantastic. Stop. So am I underestimating you here?

Tad: You think? Listen, I may have lost some gray matter, but I'm not stupid. My daughter goes nowhere near "Dr. Derwood."

Jake: Stop it. All right, let's go.

Tad: Although, Parcheesi sounded fun.

Jake: Yeah, it sounds like a blast.

Tad: Ow.

Erica: Liza admitted that she was in the house. She has no alibi for the time of the murder, and she has every reason in the world to want you dead. Now why on earth aren't they dragging her in for questioning?

Adam: Apparently, she was. But what difference does it make? Slater already confessed.

Erica: Well, that hasn't stopped Jesse from grilling Kendall.

Adam: Kendall? She was in the mansion that night?

Erica: Well, after thinking that they had lost Ian, Kendall was scared of what Zach might do.

Adam: Well, perhaps if she had conveyed these facts to the police, my brother might be alive right now.

Erica: I know. I know how difficult this is for you today, Adam. I'm sorry.

Adam: Stuart was the better part of me. How do you say goodbye to someone like that?

Erica: I don't know.

Adam: Erica, thank you. I just really need to be alone right now.

Erica: Ok. Well, I'll see you at the church. Ok.

[Once alone, Adam breaks down and cries]

Kendall: Do you think he'll remember all of this? These tubes and wires?

Angie: Nah. While he's out on the ice making goals for the team?

Kendall: Actually, Zach and I had a deal. No hockey for this one. Baseball, instead.

Angie: Home runs, then. Children are resilient, Kendall.

Kendall: Ian, especially.

Angie: Well, he must get much of his strength from his mom. You know, I don't know how you got through all of that. I mean, watching your son just slip away right before your eyes.

Kendall: Yeah, I can still hear the machines. That awful alarm when his heart stopped beating. And it's not just the sound that sticks in my head. It's -- it's that picture of my baby. I mean, I thought he was gone, Angie, and it was like my whole world just disappeared.

Angie: Yeah, I know.

Kendall: And all that was left was this overwhelming ache. That must be what Zach's going through right now.

Angie: Well, at least Zach knows Ian's alive.

Kendall: Zach has lost both his boys, Angie. They're his life. I mean, I don't have to tell you that.

Angie: No, you don't.

Kendall: So how can I expect Zach to move on when I know that I couldn't?

Liza: Jesse, I don't understand what Zach is still doing here. I told you that Kendall was the one with the gun.

Jesse: At the moment, I'm more concerned with you, Liza. Making threats against Adam Chandler?

Liza: Jesse, we were just having a conversation, but if you want to build a case about it, you know that I'll have a field day just getting it thrown out.

Jesse: All right, all right. I have enough to deal with as it is without you adding to the mix. Just stay away from Adam, please.

Liza: Gladly. So what else can I do for you?

Jesse: I need you to sign your statement. The DA won't pursue a case against Kendall unless all the paperwork is in order. Natalia, can you pull a copy of Ms. Colby's statement, please?

Natalia: Sure, right away.

Jesse: Thank you.

Liza: How much does Zach know?

Jesse: I didn't out you if that's what you're worried about.

Liza: Then I'd like to out myself.

Jesse: I don't think that's a good idea, Liza.

Liza: It's not illegal either.

Jesse: Slater is a bit of a hothead. If he finds out that you identified his wife --

Liza: Ex-wife.

Natalia: Here you go.

Jesse: Whatever. It won't be pretty. Thank you.

Natalia: You're welcome.

Liza: Well, I can handle it. It just has to come from me.

Jesse: Why?

Liza: Because I owe him.

Zach: Something you want to tell me?

Liza: Well, you must really still love her.

Zach: I'm sorry.

Liza: Kendall -- you're willing to throw your life away to protect her.

Zach: I don't have time for this.

Liza: I'm sorry, where I'm seated that's all you have is time --

Zach: What did you say to Jesse?

Liza: I told him the truth. I told him that Kendall was outside the Chandler mansion with a gun.

Zach: How would you know that? You were there, too? You had this information the whole time, and now is a good time to bring that up.

Liza: Because I have no alibi the night of the murder, and Jesse started asking questions.

Zach: So you threw Kendall under the bus?

Liza: Well, unlike you, I am not willing to go to prison to protect her, so, yes, I did. I did what I had to do to protect myself.

Zach: Fix it.

Liza: What?

Zach: Fix it.

Liza: You go out there and tell Jesse you made a mistake. You didn't see my ex-wife at the house when Stuart Chandler was killed.

Liza: I can't do that.

Zach: Why not?

Liza: Because I just signed a sworn statement --

Zach: Statement -- take it back.

Liza: So I'd become the prime suspect.

Zach: I don't care. You're a lawyer, put together a defense. Do it, make it go away.

Liza: And if I don't?

Zach: Secrets will come out.

Corrina: Lavery residence.

Erica: Oh, thank God. Is that you, Corrina?

Corrina: Yeah, can I help you?

Erica: Yes, this is Erica Kane. I have been calling and calling Ryan on his cell phone, but he's not answering. Do you have any idea where he is?

Corrina: No, Mr. Lavery called me last night and asked if I could come watch Emma, but I haven't heard from him since.

Erica: Well, did he say why he needed you? I mean, didn't he say anything about anything?

Corrina: Just that he had an emergency that he had to take care of and that he'd be home as soon as he could. I'm actually kind of weirded out that he hasn't called to check in.

Erica: Well, it's just that since he's been through all this with Emma recently, it must be something very important to keep him away from his daughter.

David: You know, Jake can use every trick in his Junior High playbook -- it's not going to keep me away from my kid, and neither are you.

Amanda: Does it feel good, David, busting in people's homes, throwing your useless weight around?

David: Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I'm just stating the facts.

Amanda: You're threatening a pregnant woman. You should be embarrassed.

David: For what, wanting to be a part of my child's life?

Amanda: For being you. God's gift to surgery, women, overall mankind. What a load of crap. You know what, the truth is you are just a spineless, mean coward, and Jake is like the anti-you, and I think that that scares you to death.

David: No. No, I can tell you I have numerous visceral reactions to Jake Martin, but I can assure you scared is definitely not one of them.

Amanda: Really? Then why are you always in my face staking claim on this baby?

David: Oh, I don't know, Amanda, why would that be? Maybe because the baby is mine.

Amanda: Or maybe because Jake is a decent guy, and he would make such a better father than you ever would.

David: Hmm. That's an interesting theory -- laughable, but interesting. Too bad you'll never get a chance to prove it.

Amanda: The only way you are ever going to touch this baby is if you cut me open and take it out.

David: Oh, Amanda, you don't want to give me any ideas.

Amanda: I'm not giving you anything.

Tad: We may get a shot at Parcheesi after all.

Jake: What are you doing in my house?

Tad: Technically it's my house.

Jake: Stop it.

David: All right, excuse me for wanting to visit my unborn child.

Jake: Did he say anything that upset you in any way?

Amanda: It's David, what do you think?

Tad: Jenny awaits upstairs. Care to join me?

Krystal: Yeah, anything's better than bringing her down here.

Tad: Oh, definitely. I've got to tell you, she's a great audience. Laughs a lot, but there is drooling involved.

David: All right, look, this doesn't need to get ugly, right?

Amanda: You don't need to be here, right?

David: Right.

Jake: You heard her, Dave.

David: Ok, you know, wait a minute -- if anyone should be pissed off right now, it should be me. Dragging me in front of the Ethics Committee, really?

Jake: See, I don't know whether you're misinformed or just thick. You can't go around drugging people, Dave. Adam could have died, and why -- because you have an obsession with Little Adam?

David: No, you see it's called love, jerk -- Jake.

Jake: Oh, oh, oh, so you're admitting it now, because there is no Ethics Committee here, right?

David: What are you talking about? You heard that nurse. She took full responsibility for Adam's condition.

Jake: Hmm, yeah, and how much did that cost you? A couple of grand? What, a kidney? See, it doesn't matter what you're worth or what you try to pull, you're never going to get your hands on the kid.

David: You going to make that happen, huh?

Jake: Oh, I'm going to -- yeah, absolutely without a doubt.

Amanda: I told you.

David: You might want to ease up on the threats, Jake.

Jake: Oh, really? Why? I was just getting started.

David: Oh, what a coincidence, so am I. Tell my wife I'll see her back at home.

Jake: Yeah, I'll make sure I do that.

Jesse: Hey, baby, what are you doing?

Angie: Hey. Was that Liza Colby?

Jesse: The one and only.

Angie: I didn't know she was back in town and pregnant.

Jesse: Full of surprises.

Angie: Well, that's not good. What was she doing here?

Jesse: Recanting her statement. She was the witness that saw Kendall at the Chandlers' with a gun.

Angie: Ok, so now you won't be forced to take Kendall away from her little boy. What?

Jesse: I'm not buying it.

Angie: What, Liza's words? Well, of course, they've never been reliable.

Jesse: Liza's and everybody else's. I mean, nobody in this town is telling me -- they're lying through their teeth. I mean, stories are not matching up. This one is covering for that one. It's --

Angie: Do you still think Zach is covering for Kendall?

Jesse: Yeah. Ryan's covering for Kendall, too.

Angie: Yeah, but why push it, Jesse? I mean, you have a confession.

Jesse: But what if it's the wrong person that confessed?

Angie: Look, Kendall should not be separated from Ian -- not now.

Jesse: And neither should Zach, especially if he didn't commit this crime.

Angie: Jesse, look at me. What would I do if I came face to face with the person who caused Frankie's injuries, knowing the pain that he was in and the rough road ahead? Would you hold me responsible?

Jesse: Baby, a man has been murdered here. Not just any man -- Stuart. He's a friend of ours.

Angie: I know, I know, and I can't even stand to think about it. But Ian Slater without a mother? Baby, there has to be another way.

Jesse: That's just the thing. I don't think there is.

Adam: Oh. Thank you.

Colby: Are you ready to go?

Adam: Oh, yeah. Let's go. Are you going to the funeral?

Kendall: I wanted to say goodbye to Stuart. He was always so wonderful to me and the boys.

Adam: Well, kind of an interesting way to express your appreciation.

Colby: Dad --

Adam: You knew that Zach was coming to kill me, didn't you? And you didn't say a word. Why didn't you? Is it because you wanted me dead as badly as he did?

Kendall: It's a tragedy Stuart was hurt.

Adam: Hurt? No, not hurt, gone. Dead. His blood is on your hands. You and that maniacal ex-husband of yours.

Kendall: Wait a minute -- what? You're blaming us? Us?

Adam: Yeah.

Kendall: You did this. You and your disgusting corporate greed. My son was sick. He was sick, and you said you'd help him with your amazing new heart valve, but you left out the part where it wasn't ready.

Adam: We didn't know that.

Kendall: You stood by, and you let it happen. You let David rip open Ian's chest. You know what, my son almost died because of you, Adam. You. So don't stand there and preach to me about the sanctity of life, not when you were willing to play God with my son's.

Tad: Oh, shucks, did Dave leave?

Krystal: Maybe he went home to brush up on the Parcheesi rules.

Tad: No, it doesn't matter. It's wasted effort. He's never going to outmaneuver the master.

[Krystal chuckles]

Krystal: I'll see you soon, ok?

Tad: Sounds good.

David: Hey.

Krystal: Oh -- oh, you're still here?

David: Where's Jenny?

Krystal: Upstairs taking a nap.

David: I thought the whole point of playing nice with Tad was to get your daughter back.

Krystal: Honey, he just had surgery. He needs to be with his family.

David: And what do you need, Krystal?

Krystal: You.

David: Unbelievable. Martin sucked you back in, didn't he?

Amanda: That look on David's face, like he had it all figured out.

Jake: Well, he doesn't.

Amanda: Yeah, he does. Yes, he does. No matter what we do, Jake, he's going to win every time.

Jake: Yeah, well, not this time. I mean, yes, technically this time, yes, but I am going to find proof that he was -- that he was drugging Adam, and when I do, they're going to kick his ass out of this town, I promise you.

Amanda: I wish. When did this become my life? Faking my son's death? Handing him over to strangers? What I'd give to be Liza Colby.

Kendall: Liza?

Liza: Yeah?

Kendall: I just wanted to say how sorry I am again about Stuart.

Liza: Thank you. Thank you.

Kendall: How's Marian holding up?

Liza: Well, she's hanging in there. It certainly hasn't been easy. Would you excuse me for a moment?

Kendall: Of course.

Liza: What are you doing here?

Officer: Just need to grab your paperwork.

Erica: Zach?

Zach: Hey.

Erica: Thank you.

Zach: For what?

Erica: For keeping my daughter safe.

Officer: Let's go. Bus to the state pen's right outside.

Zach: Can't wait.

Erica: Hello.

Officer: Hi.

Erica: I've been looking for Ryan Lavery. By any chance did you bring him in, too?

Officer: Yeah, last night for questioning.

Erica: And he's still here?

Officer: Downstairs in a holding cell.

Erica: Well, that is completely unacceptable. I want you to bring him to me right now.

Officer: Ok. Excuse me.

Jesse: I'm here on police business.

Liza: But I have recanted my statement.

Jesse: Yeah, I am still stuck on the why part.

Liza: All right, listen, I slept with Zach. Sue me, I like him. That is why I told you that Kendall had the gun, because I wanted to get rid of her.

Kendall: You're a bitch.

Jesse: And you're under arrest.
