Randi: Ok, I can't eat another bite of this.
Scott: Well, then, I guess you're not as miserable as you said you were.
Randi: I am so.
Scott: Prove it.
Randi: Fine.
Frankie: Randi.
Randi: Hey, you're back.
Frankie: Who's the guy?
Little Adam: Hi, Mommy. I miss you.
J.R.: You feel that? That's Mommy saying that she misses you, too.
Krystal: Marissa, what are you doing here? I thought you were going back to law school?
Marissa: I am, at PVU.
Krystal: Well, that -- that's great. Um, but you know what? You really actually caught me at a bad time.
Marissa: Uh, ok, um -- no problem. We can meet up later?
Krystal: Yes, absolutely. Why don't you call my cell phone, ok?
David: Hey, who are you hiding out here?
Erica: I want those mock ups on my desk first thing in the morning. Thank you. What's this?
Woman: The buyers from Hantman's called.
Erica: Tampa or Miami?
Woman: Miami, she wants to set up a meeting.
Erica: Ok, check with Val about dates and get back to me, ok? Check my calendar. So how are we doing on the Charm artwork?
Woman: We should have it back from the printer by 3:00.
Erica: Ok, let me know just as soon as it arrives. Thank you.
Ryan: Hi.
Erica: Ok, tell me this is a joke.
Ryan: I'm afraid it's not, no.
Erica: So this unhinged knife-wielding maniac --
Ryan: Or we could just call her "Annie," yeah.
Erica: Is somewhere doing God knows what to -- What about Emma?
Ryan: Emma's safe.
Erica: And what about Kendall, now that she's with you?
Ryan: Well, Kendall isn't with me.
Erica: Ok, she's living with Zach, but she said that --
Ryan: What Kendall says and what she does are two very different things, especially when it comes to Zach.
Zach: No, I'm just glad you took my call. How have you been? I know, same here. Where are you? Well, then you need to come down to Pine Valley. No, you have to. Like you said, you kind of left without thinking stuff through. Yes, well, and you said you left behind the best thing that ever happened to you. Well, then, that's what you've got to do. And you know what I think -- I will -- I will just -- I'll get you a ticket. All you have to do is -- all you have to do is pick it up. No, don't say but -- no, just -- just do what I tell you, all right? Good. I miss you.
Erica: Ryan, are you saying that it's over between you and Kendall?
Ryan: I'm saying that obviously Kendall still has a special place for Zach and as long as that's the case, then we don't stand a chance.
Erica: Did she say that? Did she tell you that she still loves Zach?
Ryan: Have you met your daughter?
Erica: Come on, Ryan, just tell me what she said.
Ryan: She said that it's over between them. That's what she said.
Erica: But you think she's lying?
Ryan: Yes, I do. Mostly to herself, but yeah, I do. And frankly, I don't have time for anything else right now, especially -- you know. Kendall's schizophrenia, whether she wants me or she wants Zach, I just don't have time to hold her hand. I mean, caught in the middle of it, that's all.
Erica: That's definitely fair enough. So how did she take this new stance of yours?
Ryan: Well, let's just say the last time that we saw each other, she ran out, and I haven't spoke to her since.
Erica: You know what that's all about.
Ryan: What?
Erica: She's afraid.
Ryan: Afraid of what?
Erica: Kendall's afraid of ending up alone.
Ryan: If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that Kendall's not going to end up alone. She'll make sure of that.
Erica: Well, Ryan, the choice is not just hers.
Zach: No, you don't. All you have to do is get on the plane. I'll take care of it. I know you will. Ok. I'm looking forward to it. Ok, bye. How are the boys?
Kendall: They're good, they're good. They're coloring with Rachael. Is that business?
Zach: Nope.
Kendall: Well, is it anyone I know? It just sounded kind of intense. Is everything ok?
Zach: Yeah. Why are you so interested?
Kendall: I'm not. I'm not, I just -- if you want to talk to your new girlfriend, you can. You don't have to sneak around.
Zach: I'm sitting here on my couch in my living room. I'm not sneaking around.
Kendall: No, I just -- I mean, you can tell me about her. It's, I -- I really don't care.
Zach: I've always respected your privacy. Start doing the same for me. I'm going to say goodbye to the boys. Bye, guys. Take it easy. Bye, Rachael.
Kendall: Yeah, I -- I know. I know, I miss you, too. Ok, bye. Sorry, I thought you were still upstairs.
Zach: No, just picking up some of my things.
Kendall: That was Ryan.
Zach: That's nice. I'm still not going to tell you who called.
Scott: Look, I'm sorry if I --
Frankie: Oh, get the -- out of here, Scott Chandler.
Scott: Hubbard?
Frankie: Last I checked.
Scott: This is your husband?
Randi: Wait a minute. You guys know each other?
Frankie: Me and Scott, we go way back. Goonies never say die!
Scott: Never say die!
Frankie and Scott: Hey, you guys!
Randi: Oh, my God. Losers.
Frankie: We were so obsessed with that movie, remember? We used to act it out all the time.
Scott: Yeah, except Frankie got to play the cooler, older brother while I got stuck playing "Chunk."
Frankie: No, no, you loved chunk. Don't even try it.
Randi: Wait, so you guys grew up together?
Frankie: We even lived together for awhile. My mom and his mom were really great friends, so when Scott's got sick, she would help take care of her.
Scott: Yeah, while Frankie bossed me around.
Frankie: I whipped your scrawny butt into shape, is what I did.
Scott: This is so wild. How have you been?
Man: Hey, Hub, you ready?
Frankie: Hey, just give me a second. I've got to go soon.
Scott: Look, I'll give you two some time. It's good to see you, man. You be safe.
Frankie: You, too.
J.R.: You want to go get some more flowers for Mom? All right, well, you can go pick them, just don't run off too far, ok? I did it, Babe. I got our son back. I know what you would say. Shouldn't have lost him in the first place, right? Look, I messed up. And I'm really sorry. You know, I'm so tired of making all these empty promises. Promises, promises. But I'm here to tell you that I'm never going to let you or our son down ever again. Anyway, the real reason I came by here today was to wish you a happy anniversary. It's five years today that I asked you to marry me. You remember? When you said yes, I'd never heard or seen anything more beautiful. I miss you so much, Babe. I think about you all the time. And I know that I'm supposed to be accepting it, but something inside me just won't let it.
Krystal: David, this is Marissa Tasker. This is my husband, David.
David: Nice to meet you.
Marissa: Yeah, you, too.
David: Would you like to come in?
Marissa: No, that's ok. Krystal said it wasn't the best time, so...
David: Oh, no, it's a fine time. We'll pick it up later.
Krystal: Ok, come on in.
Marissa: Are you sure?
David: Yeah, come on, come on. So how do you two know each other?
Marissa: Well, my mom --
Krystal: Was a good friend of mine. Her parents recently passed away.
David: I'm sorry.
Krystal: Oh, Marissa's going to law school at PVU.
Marissa: Thanks to you. When my parents died, I couldn't really afford tuition, but your wife saved the day.
David: Did she now?
Krystal: No, no, I didn't, no.
Marissa: Hello, yes, you did. She wrote me a check, offered to pay my tuition.
David: Well, that's my wife, so warm and generous. It's one of the many reasons why I fell in love with her.
Frankie: I'm sorry about before. I should not have jumped on you like that.
Randi: It's ok, but why did you?
Frankie: I just want to be the one who gets to be there with you, eat cake with you, make you laugh.
Randi: Frankie, you make me laugh all the time, and as for cake -- I mean, we can have cake every single day as soon as you get home.
Man: Seriously, Hub. Let's go.
Frankie: I'm coming. I got to go.
Randi: I know. Be safe. I love you.
Frankie: I love you, too.
Scott: Sucks, huh?
Randi: Yeah.
Marissa: I promise I'll pay you back as soon as I get the cash.
Krystal: There's no rush.
Marissa: Good, because I mean, who knows how long it will be until I actually start practicing? But, hey, once I do, you guys will always have a lawyer on the house.
David: Ooh, are you kidding? With my track record? I'm not sure you realize what you're offering.
Marissa: Malpractice suits, huh? Krystal told me that you're a surgeon. Did you know that almost half of all medical malpractice suits filed in the US are brought against you guys? Tough gig.
David: I think we've made ourselves a wise investment here.
Marissa: No, I'm just rambling off statistics. I've wanted to be a lawyer since I can remember. Every job I've had has just been a way to get me there.
David: And what job did you do most recently?
Krystal: Marissa was bartending when I caught up with her.
David: Oh, well, that's perfect. You two can swap drink recipes.
[Phone ringing]
David: It's the hospital, excuse me.
Marissa: You want to kill me, right? For showing up like this?
Krystal: It's fine, really.
Marissa: No, no, it's not. Look, you obviously wanted me out of your hair, and I think I know why. When you came to see me, you told me that you and your husband were having problems, and then, knock, knock, I show up. I'm sorry, I've got the world's worst timing.
Krystal: No, it's no big deal.
Marissa: Look, I know that this is weird. Me at the door changing schools to Pine Valley, but when I looked up and first saw you again, I know that I should have been surprised, and I mean, I guess I was. But something about it just felt right. Does that make sense?
Krystal: Yeah, it does.
Marissa: I mean, it's probably just because you got me thinking about my mom and my dad. You know, just how much I miss them. God, I really miss them.
Francesca: About that project you had me working on?
Zach: Which one?
Francesca: Tracking down that gambler from the other night, the redhead. Sorry, I can't seem to locate her.
Zach: All right, well, don't worry about it. You abandoned the search already. Hey, got a voicemail, huh? I guess that means you're on your flight. Good. I'll see you when you get here. I can't wait.
Kendall: Hi. Sorry I'm late. I just -- I wanted to spend some time with the boys.
Erica: Did you see Ryan?
Kendall: No, not yet, no, but I will. And before you say anything, I don't want to hear it.
Erica: I wasn't going to say anything.
Kendall: I chose Ryan over Zach. I know you don't like it, but it's the right decision. I am sure of that. I've never been happier in my life.
Kendall: Hey.
Ryan: Hey.
Kendall: I'm so -- I'm so happy that you're here. Do you want to go downstairs and talk?
Ryan: Um, I didn't come here to talk. I just came here to get my things.
Kendall: What do you mean, why?
Ryan: I don't work here anymore.
Scott: You going to be ok?
Randi: Thanks.
Scott: You married a great guy.
Randi: I know. See you around? "Chunk?"
Scott: Yeah, I'm going to regret telling you that, aren't I?
Randi: Yeah, of course.
Scott: See you.
J.R.: It's no wonder you have no life. You hit on all the wrong people. Hayward for business, married women for pleasure --
Scott: Yeah, I wasn't hitting on Randi, J.R.
Little Adam: Daddy, could I get ice cream?
J.R.: You mean from the vendor on the beach? Yeah, but don't run off too far, ok? I'll be right there.
Scott: Cute kid. Must take after his mom.
J.R.: Don't act like you knew Babe.
Scott: Hey, I'm just saying. Babe had to be some kind of saint to put up with you.
J.R.: You know, you need to shut up. You have no idea what we had together. In fact, I don't want you to say Babe's name ever again.
Krystal: We were talking about her parents.
Marissa: Oh, yeah, just -- yeah. How much I miss them.
David: It must be very difficult for you.
Marissa: Yeah, you think you have a handle on it and then out of the blue you see an old friend and, boom, total mess.
David: Hm. Marissa, do you have any place to stay?
Marissa: No, I haven't really figured that out yet.
David: Well, you're welcome to crash here, at least until you find your own place.
Marissa: Oh, that's very sweet of you, but I can't take you up on that offer. You've both done enough already. I will stay in a hotel room tonight, then look for an apartment first thing tomorrow.
Krystal: Let me know if you need anything, ok?
Marissa: I will, thank you.
David: It was really nice meeting you.
Marissa: You, too. I like him.
Krystal: Yeah?
Marissa: Yeah, he seems nice, and after what you did for me, you deserve nice. I'll call you?
Krystal: Yeah, yeah.
David: She's a great girl.
Krystal: Yeah.
David: I know why you tracked her down.
Reese: Hey.
Zach: Hey, what are you doing?
Reese: Um, I'm freaking out.
Zach: Freaking out about what?
Reese: Life. I can't stop looking at this.
Zach: I shouldn't have given it to you.
Reese: No, you should have. It's just that -- you know what? I just can't get over how much Gabby has changed. You know, is she crawling already? Is she waving? Can she give a little tiny high-five? I want to go home, Zach. I want to be with my daughters, and I want to be with the woman who should still be my wife.
Kendall: Mom, can you give us a minute, please?
Erica: Absolutely.
Kendall: Ryan, you can't just walk out on Fusion like this.
Ryan: I don't have the energy or the time, Kendall. I don't. I've got my hands full with Cambias right now. I've got Annie on the loose. I'm trying to be a good single dad.
Kendall: I know. Yeah, I know it's hard, but you don't have to do it alone.
Ryan: You and Erica can run this place, no problem.
Kendall: No, Ryan, that's not true. We really need you.
Ryan: What, because I know so much about make-up? C'mon.
Kendall: Please give us another chance.
Ryan: Are we still talking about Fusion here?
Kendall: I'm sorry about last night. I -- I don't know what I was thinking. Throwing myself at you and then running out like that -- I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I really don't.
Ryan: I do. I think you do, too. I mean, you wanted me because of Zach. Because he, you know, was with somebody else, and you can't stand it.
Kendall: That's not true.
Ryan: Yes, it is true, Kendall, and I'm not doing it. I'm not.
Kendall: No, no, no, no. This is not how it's supposed to be. You and Ryan and Zach -- who do you all think you are? I will not be ignored, damn it.
Zach: So what happened here? I thought you said you were going to get your life back together and your career back on track and then you were going to head to Paris and find Bianca and the girls.
Reese: Can't do it. I know I said I could, but I can't. I don't want to wait to be with my family. I want to be with them right now.
Zach: And Bianca knows this.
Reese: What do you think? She won't even answer my calls. She's not going to invite me to Paris.
Zach: So what are you going to do?
Reese: I'm going to show up. I'm going to get on a plane, and I'm going to knock on her door. She can't exactly ignore me then, right? I have a ticket. So just wish me luck, all right? I'm going to Paris tonight.
Zach: Don't do it.
Erica: You need to pull yourself together. This is a place of business.
Kendall: I'm aware of that. I am. I'm just sick and tired of everyone shutting down on me. Ryan overreacted, ok? He's angry because I'm still living with Zach. Even though I keep telling him it's for Spike and Ian, it's like he doesn't want to hear me. I don't know how many times I have to say it. Zach and I are done. He's seeing someone else.
Erica: Zach?
Kendall: Yeah. I don't know who she is. Just that he slept with her. He's being obnoxiously secretive about it.
Erica: I just can't believe it. Look, we really should get back to business.
Kendall: You are shocked, Mom. You are. Admit it. You can't believe that Zach would go and run into bed with someone else.
Erica: Like you did?
Kendall: What happened with me and Ryan was different.
Erica: Kendall, you slept with another man. You signed divorce papers. What did you think Zach would do?
Kendall: Please, don't stop there.
Erica: Oh, yes, I will stop. We've been through this already. You're a big girl, Kendall. You are responsible for your own life.
[Door opening]
Woman: Ms. Kane?
Erica: Yes?
Woman: I'm sorry to interrupt. You have a call on line 2.
Erica: Oh, thank you, thank you.
Kendall: We're not finished.
Erica: Oh, yes, we are finished.
[Phone ringing]
Erica: Erica Kane.
Reese: I'm confused. I thought that you wanted me and Bianca together.
Zach: I do, but I don't know. This may not be the way to do it, to ambush her like that. It might just blow up in your face.
Reese: Well, do you have any better ideas?
Zach: Yeah. I think you should wait.
Reese: For what?
Zach: For Bianca to make the first move.
Reese: She already did, right? She gave you the picture of Gabby to give to me. I know it's a small step, but it's something.
Zach: It's not a small thing; it's a big thing. It's great. But I think maybe you need to wait for something else. Be patient.
Reese: For what? For my daughters to grow up without me?
Zach: Don't get on that flight. Let Bianca come to you.
Scott: Just back off, J.R. I'm not up for another fight.
J.R.: Then stop talking about her. You know nothing about Babe.
Scott: Except she makes cute kids. Speaking of -- yours took off.
J.R.: What?
Scott: Yeah. I think Little A went down to the beach without you.
J.R.: Little Adam! Little Adam! Can you hear me? Oh, thank God. Come here. Are you ok? You ok? What the hell were you doing with my son?
Krystal: I told you why I tracked her down. I -- I heard her parents had died, and I knew she was alone.
David: She wasn't the only one. You lost Babe. And a baby we didn't even know we had. And Jenny and Little Adam. You even thought you lost me, too. So it makes perfect sense that you would try to reach out to someone.
Krystal: I'm sorry she just showed up like that and --
David: Stop. You don't have to apologize. And why wouldn't she? Marissa is obviously grateful for your incredible generosity, for encouraging her to come to Pine Valley. Krystal, I understand.
Krystal: You do?
David: Yes, I do. You need Marissa as much as she needs you. To nurture, to protect, to look after. You were looking for someone to mother, weren't you? Well, I think you found her.
Marissa: What am I doing with your son? What was he doing on the beach by himself? I mean, I know you're a big guy, but what are you -- 10? 11?
Little A: No, I'm 5.
Marissa: Five? You had me fooled. You need to keep a better eye on him.
J.R.: I was just on my way down there when I got distracted.
Marissa: You know how many freaks out there count on that? And there's no lifeguard.
J.R.: All right, I get it, ok? It won't happen again.
Marissa: Good.
J.R.: How much do I owe you for the ice cream?
Marissa: Forget it.
J.R.: I can afford it.
Marissa: It's ok, I'm the lucky one. I got to hang out with the best-looking guy on the beach. Thanks for talking ice cream with me. Mint chocolate chip forever, right?
Little A: Yeah.
Marissa: Yeah.
Krystal: You're incredible. Do you know that?
David: So incredible you'll stay?
Krystal: Never wanted to leave.
David: All right. Why don't we go unpack your stuff and forget any of this ever happened, all right?
Krystal: But it did happen. We lost Little Adam.
David: Yeah.
Krystal: Do you think we can do this? Just start over just like that?
David: You and me together? What can't we do?
Krystal: What about when Amanda has the baby? What then?
David: Stop, ok? That's Amanda's baby. Her life. And I would give up that child in a heartbeat to have my life with you.
[Phone ringing]
David: David Hayward. All right, I'll be right there.
Krystal: The hospital?
David: Yeah. Emergency. I have to run. You ok with this?
Krystal: I'm fine.
David: You sure? Because I can call someone and see if they can cover --
Krystal: No, no, no. You go. I'll be here when you get back.
David: I'm counting on it.
Erica: Well, switch the interviews, then. I'll make it work. I always do.
Reese: Erica. Oh, I'm sorry. Is this a bad time? I guess I can come back.
Erica: No, no, no. I was just resting my eyes.
Reese: Oh, ok. Well, the reason I'm here is because I received a call from the building inspector who said there might be a potential minor problem with the wiring. And I just -- I wanted to take a look.
Erica: Mm-hmm.
Reese: Oh, what does that mean?
Erica: You didn't come here to see any wires. You came here to see me.
Reese: I need your help with Bianca. Look, um, she sent this.
Erica: To you?
Reese: To Zach. She asked him to show it to me. And I took it as a sign, you know, that maybe she's coming around.
Erica: Well, I still don't see how I can help.
Reese: Well, I thought that maybe the next time you spoke to her, you could kind of gauge where she stands.
Erica: Reese, I am through being swept up in my daughters' lives.
Reese: I don't know what to do.
Erica: What is wrong with the women around here? What does your gut tell you to do?
Reese: Well, my gut -- my gut tells me to get on a plane, go to her, and make things work out, but Zach insists that I stay here so -- and just wait for Bianca to come to me.
Erica: Well, see, that's your problem. Zach is wrong.
Kendall: Hey.
Zach: Hey. You're home early.
[Zach drops keys on table]
Kendall: Yeah. There was nothing left to do at Fusion. Ryan and Mom were both there, so we breezed through work in no time.
Zach: Well, you guys are a great team.
[Phone ringing]
Kendall: I'm going to check on the boys.
Zach: Mm-hmm. Hello. It is. So she's on the plane now? That's perfect. All right. Thanks for your help. Ok, bye.
Kendall: Happy as clams. They're playing choo-choo. You going somewhere?
Zach: Yep.
Ryan: Hey.
Emma: Daddy.
Ryan: That's right. My little, little princess.
Emma: Did Mommy call?
Ryan: No, she didn't, but I'm sure she's ok.
Opal: Yes. We have been reading some of your mama's stories, haven't we, honey?
Ryan: Oh, you have? They always have happy endings, right?
Opal: That's right.
Ryan: I'm sure Mommy will have a happy ending, too, ok?
Emma: How do you know?
Ryan: Well, because I happen to be the smartest, coolest dad on the whole planet. That's how I know.
Opal: That's right, for sure.
Ryan: You go upstairs. I'll be up there in a bit, ok? You go ahead.
Opal: Oh.
Ryan: Has she been talking about Annie all day?
Opal: She misses her mama. Yeah, been talking about her nonstop. It's strange. I've been thinking about Annie, too.
Ryan: Well, it's hard not to with Emma bringing her up every five seconds.
Opal: Well, no, it's something more than that. It's some kind of a vibe I'm getting.
Ryan: What do you mean, Opal?
Opal: Oh, don't mind me. I'm just talking --
Ryan: Opal, what kind of a vibe? What are you talking about?
Opal: It's kind of a presence, you know? An energy. Like she was right here in the room with us.
Marissa: You do realize this stuff goes in your mouth, right? Yeah? Ok, just checking.
J.R.: You ready to go, pal?
Marissa: I hope we can do this again sometime.
J.R.: Bye. Say bye.
Little Adam: Bye.
Scott: Look, I'm sorry about my cousin.
Marissa: You guys are related?
Scott: Hard to tell, right?
Marissa: He seems a little -- I don't know -- wound up.
Scott: His wife died recently, so he's really protective of his kid.
Marissa: But?
Scott: But overall he is kind of an ass.
Marissa: Oh. So you don't get along?
Scott: What family does, right?
Marissa: Mine did. My family was great.
Scott: Hey, I --
Marissa: No. Please just ignore me. It's just been one of those days.
Doctor: Congratulations. It's a girl.
Krystal: Can I hold her?
[Baby crying]
Krystal: What's happening? What's wrong?
Doctor: I'm going to need you to push again.
Krystal: What? Why?
Doctor: There's another baby on the way.
Reese: Then you think I should go to Paris?
Erica: I love my daughter.
Reese: Well, I promise you, we are on the same page.
Erica: Look, Bianca swears that she's happy. She says the girls are thriving, but there is something in her voice, something that tells me that she is not completely happy. And I think it's because she misses you. I mean, despite your faults -- and, trust me, there are many -- I think my daughter still loves you, Reese.
Reese: Well, then I have to go to her.
Erica: And stay there.
Reese: What?
Erica: In Paris. Be with Bianca and your children, but do it in Paris, away from here.
Reese: You don't want Bianca in Pine Valley?
Erica: Oh, of course, I would love that, but Kendall -- I mean, Kendall -- the last thing Kendall needs is for Bianca to come back here now.
Reese: Yeah, with Gabrielle.
[Kendall follows Zach to the airport where he greets Bianca, Miranda, and Gabrielle]
Ryan: Opal, you know that I love you. I love you so much. And you've been a Godsend to Emma, but, please, I'm asking you --
Opal: Yeah, keep your hocus pocus to yourself?
Ryan: Yes, please, please. At least, for today, ok?
Opal: Yeah, no problem.
Ryan: Ok, thanks. I'm going to go check on Emma.
Opal: All righty. I'll see myself out.
Ryan: Ok, all right.
[Opal screams when she sees Annie on the balcony running a bloody hand down the glass door]
