Jonathan: So because you haven't answered your phone in a few days, you made me come and find you.

Ryan: Yeah -- sorry about that. I've been a little preoccupied.

Jonathan: Richie?

Ryan: Yeah, what else is new?

Jonathan: Wow, the guy's making me look like the good brother.

Ryan: You are the good brother. Get in here.

Jonathan: "Get in here"? I thought Richie was in the hospital, but -- what? What are you doing? What's going on here?

Ryan: I have to prove that my brother-in-law is the devil before he dies and burns in hell.

Babe: How's Richie doing?

Joe: He's doing better. His lungs are clearing up.

Babe: I was just passing by the hospital, just thought I'd check in.

Joe: Well, you can go in and see him if you want.

Babe: No, no, that's not necessary. I just wanted to see how he was doing.

Joe: Mm-hmm.

Richie: No, visiting hours aren't over yet, not for you.

Joe: He's responding very well to IV antibiotics. We're going to be discharging him in a couple of days.

[Richie tries to get out of bed and falls to the floor knocking things over with a loud crash]

Joe: We need help here!

Babe: What happened? Are you ok?

Joe: Try to get him up there.

Babe: Oh. Excuse me.

Joe: Watch the IV. Oh. That's it. There we go.

Kendall: I never pegged you for running a meth lab in the middle of nowhere.

Aidan: What are you doing out here, Kendall?

Kendall: I was going to ask you the same thing, Aidan.

Aidan: Go home.

Kendall: Ok, you have two choices -- either you deal with me now, or I stick around until you do.

Aidan: This is my new weekend home, all right?

Kendall: Really? Ok, well, too bad it's not a weekend.

Aidan: This is my property, and I want you off of it.

Kendall: Fine -- well, then put up a "no trespassing" sign. You really should do that.

Aidan: I'm not playing around, Kendall.

Kendall: Look, I saw your map, ok, and there was a pin stuck right exactly where I am standing, which means you believe that Greenlee is out here somewhere. I want to find Greenlee, too.

Aidan: Let's just be honest, shall we? You don't care if Greenlee rots.

Kendall: If we find Greenlee, that means we find Zach. I care about that.

Greenlee: The flashlight's dying, and we only have a -- a few more working batteries left. Hey, Zach -- hit higher.

Zach: Be quiet for a minute -- can you do that? Just shut up.

Greenlee: You know, you should take a break.

[Zach growls]

Greenlee: Zach, you should have some water.

Zach: I don't want any water -- we're running out of water! I'm trying to save some water.

Greenlee: You have a head wound, you almost died because of it. You want to end up right back there?

[Zach sighs]

Zach: Thank you for your concern.

Greenlee: I'm not concerned about you. I have no interest in being stuck down here with your rotting body.

Zach: Ah -- right, because then you'd have to do this yourself, huh?

Greenlee: Yeah, exactly, and I've never been into manual labor. Zach, do me a favor -- take a break.

Zach: No, do me a favor, just -- just be quiet.

Greenlee: I'll be quiet if you sit down.

Greenlee: Hey, what's wrong?

Jack: Julia, hi.

Julia: So, I got all the way home, and I realized I didn't have my house keys.

Jack: She's up in her room right now and she won't come out.

Jack: People can lie with their actions just as easily as they can lie with their words. Honey, I can give you a fact, a fact that proves that Jonathan's not who he says he is. He wants you to believe that he is -- a fact, honey, not an opinion. This never should've happened. That man should never have gotten anywhere near you.

Jonathan: Lily, it's not your fault, the guy was a creep.

Jack: He is not your boyfriend, Lily, he is a grown man.

Richie: I swear to you, doc, the murder's going to happen exactly like I laid it out for you.

Richie's voice: Murder, murder, murder.

[Voice echoes]

Lily: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120.

Ryan: Richie may be in bad shape, but he is definitely up to something.

Jonathan: Didn't he almost die?

Ryan: Yes, but not before his prison shrink visited him in the hospital.

Jonathan: The same one that you talked to?

Ryan: Yeah, Dr. Chambers came all the way up here to visit him.

Jonathan: Ok, that's strange.

Ryan: That's what I thought, so I did a little bit of digging, and I got a bunch of information from Richie's prison.

Jonathan: Yes, you do, don't you? You have a -- you have a visitor log and --

Ryan: I haven't got to the visitors' log yet. Check this out -- read the highlighted part right there.

Jonathan: "In my professional opinion, no. Richard Novak poses no threat to himself or others." Ok. Um -- that's a bunch of bull.

Ryan: Look at the name.

Jonathan: Chambers the shrink.

Ryan: Chambers the shrink. The main reason that Richie got released early, the main reason.

Jonathan: All right. Where do I begin?

Ryan: Uh -- well, you could cross-check the transcripts with the logs. That would be helpful.

Jonathan: All right, I will. I'm going to get some coffee. What?

Ryan: Thanks, man. I mean it.

Jonathan: Absolutely. Let's do this.

Richie: I'm sorry. I was going to get some water --

Babe: Richie, that's when you call a nurse.

Richie: I must've just lost my balance.

Joe: You need to take it slow. You're not strong enough yet.

Richie: I can't just sit here in this bed, doc.

Babe: Well, if that's what the doctors tell you, then that's what you'll do.

Richie: I got to get moving around, you know, get going.

Joe: Richie, you're not cleared for moving around.

Babe: What do you think, Joe? I mean, will he be able to go home soon after this.

Richie: I'll be fine.

Joe: We're going to monitor him, and then we'll set up an in-home nursing service.

Richie: Not going to need it, doc.

[Pager beeps]

Joe: Excuse me. Um -- you stay in bed.

Babe: Ok. Richie, once you're discharged, you're going to need somebody at home with you.

Richie: It's not necessary.

Babe: Ok, what about your father?

Richie: He's got his own life in Chicago. He has to get back to it.

Babe: All right, well, maybe there's somebody else -- maybe, maybe a family friend?

Richie: There's nobody. Don't worry about me, Babe. I'll be fine. You shouldn't even be here. You have your own life. I got the message -- is all good.

Babe: Yeah, well, that's not it.

Richie: I'm sorry. I've distracted you enough.

Babe: Don't apologize.

Richie: Yeah, I need to. I'm selfish. I sucked you in.

Babe: Hey, Richie, I'm a big girl. I can make my own decisions.

Richie: Just go, Babe. Just go before I hurt you bad.

Aidan: We have no concrete proof that Zach and Greenlee are even together.

Kendall: Well, it doesn't mean you're not thinking it. I told you, I saw your map.

Aidan: Oh, just because we stick a couple of pins in a map doesn't mean we have serious leads.

Kendall: Aidan, they're connected, all right? I can feel it.

Aidan: Well, why don't you feel it somewhere else, huh?

Kendall: Ok. I had this dream tonight.

Aidan: Oh, here we go.

Kendall: No, just listen to me a second. Zach and Greenlee were in it. They were together, and they were in the woods.

Aidan: You're going on a dream, Kendall. That is crazy.

Kendall: No, it's not. Zach and Greenlee disappeared the same night from the same area -- this area, and they're still missing.

Aidan: Bravo, bravo. You're not telling me anything I don't already know.

Kendall: You believe it, too. You think that they're connected. This is not just some coincidence.

Aidan: Look, what are you hoping for, Kendall? Or let me guess -- you hope that Zach gets rid of Greenlee permanently, is that it?

Kendall: No, that's not true.

Aidan: Zach comes home, Greenlee never does. That works for you, doesn't it?

Kendall: No, that does not work for me.

Aidan: Whatever Zach has to do to get Greenlee out of your life, right?

Kendall: Aidan, that's not what I think, ok? That's not what I think. Zach would never murder Greenlee.

Aidan: Oh, because he's such a great guy, and he's never hurt Greenlee before?

Kendall: You were the one who was out in the woods digging up something -- I don't know what. So for all I know, you could be the killer. You could be the killer and that could be their grave.

Aidan: Don't go there, Kendall.

Kendall: No, you hate Zach for what he did to Greenlee, and if you found him, and you hurt him, so help me God, I will kill you.

Aidan: I redug that hole out there, because I was afraid that Greenlee was buried in it, all right? Thank God that she wasn't.

Kendall: "Thank God." So then you believe it. You believe that Greenlee is out here somewhere.

Greenlee: Zach, what is it? What's wrong?

Zach: Don't.

Greenlee: Is your fever back?

Zach: I'm not sick.

Greenlee: Well, then why are you acting this way?

Zach: Battery's dead.

Greenlee: Yeah, but we don't get any reception down here, so --

Zach: I had pictures in my phone -- of Ian, Spike, and Kendall, and now it's -- it's dead, and they're gone. They're all gone, it's all gone.

Kendall: What did you find, Aidan? What -- what leads do you have on Greenlee?

Aidan: Nothing.

Kendall: Bull. You didn't buy this place for some little vacation.

Aidan: You want an update, you can talk to Derek.

Kendall: No -- Aidan, the cops don't know what you know. Do they even know that you're out here? Should I tell them that their fugitive is nearby?

Aidan: This is the phone that Greenlee had on her before she disappeared.

Kendall: Where did you find it?

Aidan: Not too far from this place, in a gully by the side of the road.

Greenlee: Hey, Zach, why don't you have some water.

Zach: There was a picture of me and Ian -- Josh took it -- first time I held the little guy.

Greenlee: Sounds special.

Zach: So small, you know, and I -- I was holding him. When I put him on my chest, it felt like I was holding on to the whole world. I felt his heart beating and -- just holding on to him, that's all.

Greenlee: Yeah, well, Ian's a real strong little guy.

Zach: Yeah. But he's home now. That's where he's supposed to be -- home, with his mom. That's where I should be. His first day back.

Greenlee: You will be home, Zach.

Zach: Yeah.

Greenlee: No -- you will. You will walk through the door of your big, beautiful house, and Kendall will be standing there waiting, smiling. Spike will come running up to you. You'll scoop him up, he'll show you his brand-new toy train that his mom bought for him. Come on, close your eyes.

Zach: What do you --

Greenlee: Zach, close your eyes, picture it, come on. You'll go over to Kendall and kiss her hello. And then you'll walk over to the bassinet, and Ian will be in there sleeping. Strong and healthy, sleeping peacefully.

Zach: It's home.

Greenlee: And you'll want to wake Ian up to say hello, but Kendall will push you away, because she's just put him down. So instead, you'll take your hand, reach it out to his cheek. And while he's sleeping, he'll move closer to you. And you'll take his two little, tiny hands and grab yours. Kendall will scoop up Spike, come over to you, and you'll put your arm around her, and it'll be the four of you. Together, family.

Zach: Right.

Greenlee: No, it's going to happen, Zach. We're going to get out of this hellhole, and you're going to walk through that door.

Kendall: Did you run the numbers on Greenlee's cell?

Aidan: She didn't get the chance to use it, so the phone is all we have.

Kendall: Ok, well, if you found it here, then she must've dropped something else.

Aidan: No, all I found so far is the drug paraphernalia that you saw on the way in here, all right?

Kendall: Well, there must be some other clue.

Aidan: You don't think I'm trying everything?

Kendall: Well, then we try harder.

Aidan: No, Kendall, there's no "we," all right? You can go, ok? I've got this.

Kendall: Aidan, I have to find Zach. If I don't find him, if I lose him, I don't know what I will do.

Aidan: I know.

Kendall: They're together, Aidan, we both know it. So we join forces, we -- we look for them as a team.

Aidan: After what you've done to Greenlee, setting her up for kidnapping, there's not a chance in hell I'm teaming up with you.

Jonathan: How's Annie?

Ryan: She's not good. You know, I mean, she's -- she's good, but she's not good.

Jonathan: You're really worried about her, huh? I mean, Richie's putting her through it.

Ryan: Yeah, he is. And now, her dad's in town, and they're both putting her through it. You know, she knows better than anybody what Richie is really like, and yet, she still so craves a real family.

Jonathan: Well, we know all about that, don't we?

Ryan: Yeah, we do. You should have seen her when her dad actually spent a little bit of time with Emma, and they were laughing together, and Annie's face just -- she just lit up like a Christmas tree, you know? And then to watch her dial it back, because she knows that she's going to get hurt if she really believes. It's just -- it's just hard, you know? I just hate what they've done to her.

Jonathan: Whoa. Wait a minute. I just found something here. Why would Richie be interested in life insurance?

Babe: You haven't hurt me, Richie.

Richie: Give me time, I'm good for it.

Babe: No, I don't need protection from you. I'm here because --

Richie: You just happened to be in the neighborhood?

Babe: Yes. Yes, that's what I told Joe.

Richie: And?

Babe: And -- and I wanted to see how you were feeling.

Richie: Well, that's a tricky question. I think the pneumonia's ok, but this leukemia will kill you.

Babe: No, Richie --

Richie: Ok, I'm sorry, I'm sorry -- I'm sorry. I forget that dying man's humor isn't for everyone. You want to know the truth? I'm scared. I'm sick, and I don't want to die alone. And that's why I took advantage of you, of that big heart. It was wrong.

Babe: No. No, it's --

Richie: I care about you, Babe. I want to take you to movies and to baseball games and to dinner and to spend time with you on Valentine's Day and Christmas, and if you feel just a little bit of what I feel, then all I've done is set you up for pain, because when I die --

Babe: No, that is not it. Just -- don't do that.

Richie: It's going to happen. I'm going to die. Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next week, but it's going to happen. It's going to happen soon.

Babe: I know, Richie. You don't have to be alone. Ok, you don't have to be.

Julia: Jack, will you let me try with her?

Jack: Yeah, please.

Julia: Lily? Lily, honey, it's me, Julia. I hear that something has upset you. I'm sorry about that. I'd like to help you if I can. Can I, Lily?

Jack: Lily, Julia cares about you. You know that.

Julia: You remember Life Skills class? You remember I taught you? I loved working with you, helping you. I'd like to help you now. You were such a good student, Lily. You were always willing to try all of the exercises. Everything and anything to learn, right? Would you try an exercise with me now? Please, Lily?

Zach: Let's get back to work.

Greenlee: We're going to get out of here, you know.

Zach: We have to get out of here.

Greenlee: I have my own little something to get back to, also.

Zach: Yeah, what's that, Aidan?

Greenlee: Yeah. You know, I have all these moments running through my head. All these times that he made me laugh or kicked my butt, made me feel safe like pictures in my mind. Like this one time when we were on the beach, and he was just doing these ridiculous imitations.

Aidan: [As Austin Powers] Do I make you horny, baby? Randy?

Greenlee: Or when we went running. You know, whenever I needed him, he was there. I would just come through the door, and he'd be standing there smiling with that amazing smile of his. And he got me this tiger, Alfonso -- stuffed, of course. Alfonso. I don't know what I would have done without that little guy. Or without Aidan. You know, he's on my team. He's -- he takes the heat, and he makes me feel safe. Wow. I owe you a thank-you.

Zach: For what?

Greenlee: You brought Aidan and me together.

Aidan: [Normal voice] For the last time, Kendall, go home.

Kendall: All right, ok. You hate me. Fine, we've established that. Keep hating me.

Aidan: If I hear anything about Zach, I'll let you know.

Kendall: No. Aidan, that's not good enough.

Aidan: Well, that's too bad, isn't it?

Kendall: All right, listen. We both want the same thing. We want to find the person that we love, and we will do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Aidan: No, don't compare us.

Kendall: Like it or not, Aidan, you need me right now. You can't afford to lose me. When we find them -- and we will find them -- you can spit in my face, ok? Cross me off of your list, have me arrested, turn me in - I don't care. But right now, please let me help you. Please, let's find them together for -- for Zach and Greenlee.

Aidan: No, I don't care about your husband, Kendall.

Kendall: Fine, then don't do it for him. Do it for Greenlee. Please, Aidan, don't turn me away.

Aidan: On one condition.

Kendall: Name it.

Aidan: You do what you should have done in that courtroom. You confess, Kendall. All right? Admit that you set Greenlee up.

Jonathan: Yes, Richie had a bunch of visits from life insurance guys before he was released.

Ryan: Life insurance?

Jonathan: Yeah.

Ryan: For a guy in prison? Are you kidding me? Was this before or after he was diagnosed with leukemia?

Jonathan: Um -- it was April 12, and then he had another one at the end of the month. Then he had four in May, right up until his hearing. But then right here, look at this -- six visits from one guy in particular in his last month.

Ryan: All right, well, it's time to pay this one guy a visit. This -- this Stan Rawlings from National Life Insurance.

Jonathan: No. Absolutely not. Annie needs you here. All right? The kids need you here. Let me find this guy.

Ryan: You sure?

Jonathan: Yes. You've got your hands full, all right? Let me track this guy down.

Ryan: Thanks, man. I could really use all the help I can get right now.

Richie: You mean so much to me.

Babe: Richie, I'm sorry, I can't. I can't. I can't.

Richie: No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that.

Babe: No, if I gave you the impression that I --

Richie: I can't believe I did that.

Babe: It's ok.

Zach: I brought you and Aidan together? How is that possible?

Greenlee: Don't you remember? You hired him to keep me out of the hospital and keep me away from your family.

Zach: Oh, yeah. And then he got involved with the mark. Amateur.

Greenlee: God, I -- I hated him so much in the beginning. Always getting in my face. He really pissed me off.

Zach: Well, he was doing his job, then.

Greenlee: Well, it's amazing we were even able to become civil with one another.

Zach: "Civil"? That's what you call civil, when you -- with the -- hmm.

Greenlee: Yeah, something like that. You know, Kendall didn't exactly love you in the beginning. She didn't trust you, you were keeping all these secrets. She would complain about you all the time. You know, maybe that's the trick. Maybe that's how you do it. You know, you find someone that you really despise, and then take on the challenge -- try to make them a better person.

Zach: She has made me a better person. A better father.

Greenlee: It hurts, doesn't it?

Aidan: Admit it, Kendall. Go on. Admit that you set up Greenlee.

Kendall: No, no, wait, wait -- Aidan, wait. Ok. All right.

Aidan: From the beginning, please.

Kendall: All right. I thought that Greenlee was going to kidnap Spike again. I was afraid that she was after him, and I thought that she was going to hurt him, so -- so yes, all right? I did it, I set her up.

Aidan: Yeah, you framed Greenlee because you "thought" that she was going to do something. You assumed the worst.

Kendall: This wasn't easy for me.

Aidan: Spare me the victim act.

Kendall: No, I was going to back off, Aidan, I swear to you. I -- I thought about it tons of times.

Aidan: But you didn't. You went through with it, even though Greenlee had no intention of taking Spike.

Kendall: I didn't realize that until after the fact. I was wrong, and I regret that.

Aidan: You regret it? Regret it, that's it? Like some stupid little apology like that's going to make it all better?

Kendall: Zach and I will make it up to Greenlee, once they're both found, and we will find them, Aidan.

Julia: You work really hard for Zach. Numbers and lists -- they make you feel safe, I remember. I have an idea. Let's make a list. In this column, we're going to put everything that makes you feel safe. And over here, we'll put everything that you're afraid of. Now, I'm going to -- I'm going to leave this blank because I -- I don't know what's making you so afraid. But this one -- this one's easy. We're going to call this one "Lily's safety net." And over here, we're going to put everything that makes you safe. Ok, so that would be your family, your dad and your sisters. Your stepmom. And your brother. Oh, and your -- how's your cousin Sean, huh? And your house, this warm, safe home, and this beautiful room. It has everything so perfectly arranged. And I saw some purple tulips in a vase downstairs. And some perfectly square cookies in the kitchen. You have your job, and all the numbers that come along with it. You have a great boss.

Jack: Lily, you have great friends, like Julia here.

Julia: Well, there's hardly enough room to fit anything else on this side. Now, I wonder what could be in this column that could possibly outweigh all of the things that make you feel so safe.

Lily: Murder.

Kendall: You won. You got what you wanted. I confessed. I set up Greenlee.

Aidan: Thanks for that.

Kendall: This is hard for me, too.

Aidan: Oh, please.

Kendall: She was my best friend. She was my sister. Do you have anyone in your life like that, Aidan? Anyone that you would just give your life for? And do you know how it feels when they tear it all apart? What would you do then?

Aidan: I wouldn't set her up.

Kendall: Ok, can we just move on and start searching?

Aidan: I'm not working with you.

Kendall: You said that you would once I confessed.

Aidan: Yeah, well, I lied, just like you lied about Greenlee. Must be contagious. Now get out.

Kendall: You need me, Aidan!

Aidan: Like a hole in my heart.

Kendall: I am not leaving until I'm looking in Zach's eyes.

Jack: Murder? Lily, what -- what -- what are you talking about? What murder? Honey?

Julia: Lily, what else can you tell us? Can you explain that?

[Lily whimpers]

Julia: Lily, we're here.

Jack: Lily, Lily, it's ok. We're all here.

Lily: No, no!

Jack: Honey --

Julia: Lily, nothing can hurt you.

Richie: Babe's going to take care of me.

Ryan: Hey, Annie. Honey, how are you doing? How's the visit with your father going? Well, when are you coming home? It's late. It's past Emma's bedtime. No. No word at all on Zach or Greenlee. I'll call you if I hear anything, ok? And you call me if you need anything. Ok. All right, I love you, too.

[Knock on door]

Ryan: Bye. Babe. What's up? Come on in. It's late.

Babe: Yeah. It's about Richie.

Ryan: Why? What happened? Did he hurt you?

Babe: No, um -- he's being discharged soon.

Ryan: Oh, well, that's too bad.

Babe: Look, Ryan, he still has leukemia. He may be beating the pneumonia, but he won't beat that.

Ryan: I'm sorry, Babe, but I'm not going to cry about it.

Babe: He needs outpatient care.

Ryan: Are you asking me for that?

Babe: You know what, Ryan? I get it -- you hate him. You're worried he might hurt Annie or the kids, and I'm not asking you to trust him. You don't even have to let your family anywhere near him. Just -- just use your money to put Richie in a place where a nurse can keep an eye on him.

Ryan: I'm sorry, Babe, but I'm not interested in getting Richie comfortable, all right? And you shouldn't let him snow you.

Babe: Ryan, he needs someone. And then he's going to die. Just do the right thing.

Kendall: Where do you want to start? We could -- we could start from here, and then we can go south.

Aidan: I don't want to start anywhere.

Kendall: Come on, Aidan. Look, Aidan -- what are -- Aidan, we can -- let me down! Put me down! Aidan, put me -- you better put me the hell down right now! Aidan!

Zach: Kendall knows I have a strange obsession with the great game of hockey.
