Jack: I mean anything. Any accusations, any allusions -- anything at all about my daughter, I'm going to turn around and walk right back out this door.

Aidan: The truth. The scam that you and J.R. tried to pull off with Greenlee -- was any of it real?
Greenlee: Kendall, are you ok?
Kendall: Um, yeah. I'm -- I'm sorry I'm being a little weird right now. I'm just -- I mean, I look at his face and -- and I know what I have to do. But that doesn't make it any easier.
Greenlee: Well, of course not. It's -- it's so hard when you love someone so much.
Kendall: I'm just so worried, you know, about Spike and the surgery and -- and the future. I don't know -- I mean, it all just keeps hitting me.
Greenlee: And that's -- is that why you called me?
Kendall: Yeah, it's weird, huh?
Greenlee: Well, what can I do? How can I help?
Kendall: You've already helped me, Greenlee, just by being here tonight. You've done more than you'll ever know.
Ryan: Do the test.
Richie: You're wasting your time.
Ryan: Consider it like an investment in the truth.
Annie: Why would you lie about dying?
Richie: For sympathy. I haven't got a lot of it since I got sprung.
Ryan: Yeah, maybe that's because you don't deserve it.
Richie: Ok. Well, originally, it was because -- ahem -- to get Babe to feel sorry for me.
Annie: Why?
Richie: Because I was starting to like her -- a lot, actually.
Ryan: Lucky her.
Richie: You two screwed that up for me, so I made sure she saw me throw away that pill bottle.

Richie: I thought she might have a little more sympathy for an ex-con with leukemia.
Annie: You did all this just to hook up with Babe?
Richie: Yeah, I mean, look at her. It was worth a shot. I didn't know it was going to end up in kidnapping at 10,000 feet, but, yeah.
Ryan: Yeah. Well, what can I say, Richie? We really care about you, and if you are truly sick, we want to make sure you get the attention that you deserve.

Ryan: We don't know what to believe from you, Richie. So this time, let's just make the truth official, for once.

J.R.: Al-Anon would be proud, but you might want to buy the guy behind you a drink.
Singer: I was giddy as a school boy in the spring ♪
Babe: You mean it wasn't --
J.R.: Nope.

J.R.: Well, Kyle put it there for him. I was just going to be a nice guy and take it to him.

J.R.: Ahem. So, that happened.

Babe: I -- I put on quite a show, didn't I?

J.R.: No big news. I just spent the last two days getting the crap beat out of me.

Aidan: There never were any of Greenlee's embryos left, were there? It was all a big scam to get Greenlee out of Fusion and out of Kendall's life.
Zach: That's a nice story.
Aidan: And you used J.R. Chandler as your little patsy boy. You planted evidence on the Cambias server and made it just hard enough to find. You played Greenlee like she was a fish on the end of a line.
Zach: I do have to tell you something -- whiskey was invented in Ireland, not Scotland. Did you know that?
Aidan: You took Greenlee's biggest hope, and you used it against her -- the promise of the children that she always wanted to have.
Zach: Well, that's the problem, isn't it? When you tie all your hopes and dreams up together, you're bound to get disappointed.
Aidan: You cheated her. There are consequences. And you're looking at him.
Greenlee: Anything you need, Kendall, I'm all over it.
Kendall: Well, ever since we found out he was deaf, I've prayed for this. "Please, God, let him hear again." I would do anything -- anything. And now, we have the perfect chance, the perfect solution to exactly what I've asked for. But it's --
Greenlee: It's -- it's very scary.
Kendall: Yeah, it's really scary. But Ryan -- Ryan seems so sure. And Zach -- I look at him, and he reminds me that this is all for the best, but here I am flipping out.
Greenlee: Well, you just flip away, because I am not going anywhere. Am I, little Mr. Spikey man? Thank you.

Kendall: So who do I go to? Bianca is in Paris, my mother is --
Greenlee: No, not so much, right?

[Spike babbles]
Kendall: Yeah. But the last thing I needed was to turn this into something bigger. I needed a best friend, and that had been you for so long, but you weren't here anymore, and I missed you.
Erica: I was hoping that we could have a nice dinner --
Jack: Ah.
Erica: Forget our current issues.
Jack: Hmm.
Erica: I hope you're hungry.
Jack: Oh, yes, I'm very, very hungry.
[Phone rings]
Erica: Oh. Excuse me.
Jack: Uh-huh.
Erica: Just in case it's Kendall.
Jack: Ok.
Erica: Ahem. Hello?
Barry: Ms. Kane, this is Barry Shire.
Erica: Oh -- yes, yes. Uh -- of course. Is there something I could do for you?
Barry: The men from the psychiatric hospital will be picking up Greenlee Smythe this evening. Are we still a go?

Barry: Everything will be done as we've arranged.
Erica: This is not something that I want to do. This is just something that has to be done.
Barry: Are you sure?
Erica: Yes. Yes, I -- I'm quite sure.

Jack: Some kind of problem?
Erica: Oh. Just an interview I am not looking forward to.
Jack: So don't do it -- cancel.
Erica: I -- I can't. Jack, I love you, and I hope you know that. I hope you always know that.
Greenlee: You don't have to explain anything. It's been -- it's been awful, and I'm sorry.
Kendall: Well, no. Greenlee, -- I should be the one apologizing. I mean, I -- I -- here -- you know, here you are, and I made you think that I wanted to be friends again, and then I turn around and freak out. So I'm -- I'm giving you mixed messages.
Greenlee: Well --
[Spike coos]
Greenlee: Hmm. What -- what message do you want to be giving?
Kendall: I don't know. I don't know -- it's so hard.
Greenlee: It's ok. You know, I -- no worries because I'm not -- I'm not trying to push you or anything.
Kendall: No, I know, I know. Thank you. I'm just -- I'm a mess. And I really need you now, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Seriously?
Kendall: Yeah. I mean, who else will put up with me?
Greenlee: Oh, you have no idea how long I have waited for this.
[Spike babbles]
Greenlee: Yeah.
Kendall: Well, it -- it hasn't been easy to get here.
Greenlee: No, it hasn't. Um -- I wasn't going to tell you this, but I had a dream about Simone.
Kendall: Really?
Greenlee: Yeah, and -- and she told me that it would just take some time, and I should wait for you to come around, and that she didn't wear the black cat suit for nothing. But, Kendall, if you need me, I'm here -- for you, for Spike. There's been so much I've wanted to say -- I know, imagine. I've kept my mouth closed this whole time. I guess I was just waiting, waiting for now.
Kendall: Well, I've spilled my guts, so now it's your turn.
Greenlee: I don't even know where to start. Um -- friends and -- and family and kids, it all gets jumbled together. I mean, we've shared everything, so many details, and -- but I -- I want to tell you everything, I want to hear everything that I've missed. I just want it to be exactly how it's supposed to be.
Kendall: It will be, I promise. Exactly how it's supposed to be.
Greenlee: You know, I've only ever wanted the best for you and Spike.
Kendall: But the best for Spike is surgery on his little head.
Greenlee: I know, and -- and I know that you're freaking out about the operation, but, I mean, let's focus on the results. Soon, he's going to hear. He's going to hear your voice, and it'll be right in time for him to learn how to speak back. And in no time, he'll be playing baseball with his father and singing along with you in the car and --
Kendall: I know, and I hope so.
Greenlee: No doubt, Kendall, and if you ever need me, I'm here.
Kendall: I know, I know. I know you're here.
Greenlee: Because that's what friends do, you know? And not just friends but --
[Spike vocalizes]
Greenlee: But partners. I mean, we could be a team at -- at Fusion again, if you wanted. Um -- no more dirty glances and awkward silences, because I know Fusion really suffered after the accident. But we could give it a shot. You and me, baby, back in action.
Zach: Last I heard, Greenlee was still a partner at Fusion.
Aidan: Well, that's because your little scam didn't work, Zachy boy. She beat you at your own game and told J.R. Chandler to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
Zach: Hmm. Ok -- end of story.
Aidan: Except for what you put Greenlee through. All right, I happen to think that Greenlee is an amazing girl. And even though she didn't know it, she kicked your ass, and that makes you crazy, doesn't it?
Zach: You don't know me at all.
Aidan: Well, I do know that you happen to like playing God around here. But, jeez, man, that must be such a big burden for you -- you know, playing with people's lives every day. How do you sleep at night, or do you? And Kendall -- I mean, how does she --
Zach: Back off, Devane.
Aidan: Ooh. Sorry, am I touching a nerve?
Zach: You believe whatever you want.
Aidan: Thanks. Thanks for your permission. I will. I'm not finished here yet.
Zach: All right. If I seem to be -- um -- what, lacking compassion for your little Greenlee, it's because my wife has been living in fear ever since your girlfriend took Spike.
Aidan: Kendall's got nothing to fear from Greenlee.
Zach: No? You know that for a fact or because you're sleeping with her?
Aidan: I want an answer. Are you finished with Greenlee or is this just the beginning?
[Romantic music plays]
Jack: Again, I must ask, what -- what brought all this on tonight?

Jack: I imagine you would like to stay and wait till after Spike's surgery.

Jack: What's gotten into you?
Erica: I don't know.
[Jack laughs]
Erica: Tonight just feels -- feels special. Dance with me, Mr. Montgomery.
Babe: Let me guess -- your next big thing with Ava?
J.R.: Done -- and done.
Babe: I'm sorry. I know how you really wanted that network of yours to score big.
J.R.: Oh, who needs a pile of cash and their pride?

J.R.: I really wanted it to work out this time, Babe. You know what the real kicker was? Just before I got all the rest of the seed money, my father offered to bail me out.

Babe: Maybe we've always kind of needed each other.
J.R.: Maybe.
[Richie groans, then chuckles as Ryan removes a handcuff]
Richie: I was that close to Babe. Oh, I was that close.
Annie: Don't you see how sick this is? Making someone believe that you're dying to get sympathy?
Richie: Kind of like sending your brother to prison for a crime he didn't commit?
Ryan: I'll tell you the difference. Annie was trying to protect people -- herself, your parents, even you, Richie.
Richie: Please spare me the St. Annie routine. It's getting old.
Annie: I hate to say this, but it would actually be a good thing if you were dying, because at least then, you wouldn't be such a sick, twisted monster.
Aidan: You don't like to fail, do you, Zach?
Zach: Hmm. Who does?
Aidan: Well, are you finished beating Greenlee down or are you going to carry on?
Zach: As far as I'm concerned, it's over.
Aidan: Well, it better be, because if you come after Greenlee again, I'm going to kill you.
Kendall: I'm glad I called you, Greenlee. I feel better already.
Greenlee: Me, too. What about you, Spike? Huh? Hey, Spike? Do you feel better? That's good.
Kendall: Ok, my good boy.
[Phone rings]
Greenlee: Would you like some more juice?
Kendall: Oh.
Greenlee: Yeah?
Kendall: Hold on a second. Ok, let's see who's on the phone. Hello? Oh, my God, is he ok?
Greenlee: Oh.
Kendall: Uh -- he's hurt? Oh, my God. Ok, um -- yes, yes, of course. I'll be right there. Thank you. Ok, oh, God.
Greenlee: What's wrong? What happened?
Kendall: Uh, it -- it was the hospital.
Greenlee: Oh, my God -- Ian?
Kendall: No, no, no. It's Zach -- Zach.
Greenlee: Is he ok?
Kendall: No, he's -- Zach has been -- he's been in a really bad accident. I don't know. I don't know, but he's been asking for me. Um -- I -- I can't bring Spike to the hospital. He's been through too much.
Greenlee: Ok, well, would you like me to call somebody?
Kendall: Uh -- Rachael. Rachael -- I can call Rachael, and then she can come and take care of him.
Greenlee: Ok. Zach -- is it serious? Is he --
Kendall: I -- I don't know, I don't know. He's been asking for me. Ok, let's see -- we're going to call Rachael, ok? Ok, come on, come on, come on. Oh, come on, where is she? Great -- ok. Voicemail.
Greenlee: Kendall, it's going to be ok, I promise. It's going to be ok.
Kendall: Can you -- can you stay here with Spike until I can get ahold of Rachael?
Greenlee: Oh, no. I don't -- I don't think that's a good idea.
Kendall: Well -- do you want me to bring him -- you -- you want him to go to the hospital with me where he can watch his mother freak out?
Greenlee: No, but I can't -- can't drive with him, Kendall. I can't drive with him.
Kendall: Greenlee, all you have to do is stay here with Spike until Rachael shows up.
Greenlee: Well, are you sure? Are you sure? Do you really want to leave him with me? Is that ok with you?

Kendall: Um -- hi. Uh -- I need -- I need some help, please. Um -- this is Kendall Hart Slater, and I'm -- I'm at Memorial Park by -- by the boathouse. Um -- Greenlee Smythe, she -- she did something. She -- she did something. She -- she gave me something, and she knocked me out, ok? She took my baby. She has my baby and I -- I need someone to help me. Please come help me. Please don't let her hurt my baby again.
Greenlee: And that's it. I'm happy. I get to start over. Probably that's how I'm guessing you feel, because you get to start over, too, huh? You get to hear again. And guess what, Spike. I'm in love with a great man. One of the good ones like your daddy. And I have my best friend back. Your mommy has made me very, very happy.
Zach: I don't take threats to my life lightly.
Aidan: Well, I don't make them lightly.
Zach: I understand. I'd do the same thing if I were in your shoes. For all our differences, we do have one thing in common. We'll do whatever it takes to protect the women we love. You understand that, and you understand me.
Aidan: I think you're a lot more complicated than that, Zach. But if you understand the consequences, then me and you are done here.
Zach: You make sure that Greenlee understands. Cuts both ways.
Richie: You're not that different than I am, Annie.
Ryan: Shut up.
Annie: Ryan, it's ok, don't.
Richie: Like what you did to our mother? Is that ok?

Ryan: I -- I took on fatherhood with Spike, and -- and then with Emma. And I just looked at my family, and I knew. I understood.
Annie: But this was my fault.

Ryan: Shut up, Richie.

[Babe chuckles]

[Phone rings]
Zach: Slater. She did what? Is she ok? Yeah, I'll be right there. Greenlee tried to take Spike.
Greenlee: I am so sorry for everything that I did to you. But I'm going to make it up to you, ok? I swear, I'm going to -- I'm going to be like your second mom.
[Hiding in the bushes near the boathouse, Kendall puts some chloroform on a cloth and applies it to her own face]

[Sirens]
[Sirens stop]
[Doors open and close]
Officer: Ma'am -- ma'am, can you hear me?
Second Officer: Chloroform.
[Sirens]
Kendall: What -- what? What -- my baby -- my baby -- she took my baby. She took my baby!

Greenlee: What? What -- what's going on? What the --
Second Officer: Put the boy down!

Erica: I don't ever want this night to end.
