Hannah: Thank you, it's nice to see you again.
Kendall: Zach told me that you were back -- I was meaning to call you.
Josh: Are we interrupting something here?
Zach: Hannah's having a tough day.
Kendall: I'm sorry to hear that. So -- uh -- so, uh, champagne, anyone?
[Thunder]
Richie: No luck?
Babe: There's no signal at all now, I --
[Thunder]
Babe: I just -- I'm worried about Emma's mom. When I talked to Annie, I promised her that I would bring her home right away. And now the phones are all messed up, and I can't even call and tell her.
Richie: Emma's in good hands.
Babe: I know. It's just that I know that Annie's probably worried out of her mind. Do you think there's any way we can make it out tonight?
Richie: Look, I get it. I get that your friend's worried. But I think she's going to be more worried if we try to make it down that mountain in this rain. Hey -- hey --
[Babe sighs]
Richie: You're safe with me, Babe. You know that, right?
Babe: Yeah. You know, I'm going to go check outside, see if maybe it's letting up.
[Music plays]
Greenlee: So that is Annie's brother.
J.R.: No, that's Wes. He's the bartender, he's dating Babe.
Greenlee: Ok, I don't care who he's dating, it's Richie Novak -- he was just released from prison.
J.R.: That's not funny, Greenlee.
Greenlee: Ask Annie -- he's been terrorizing her for weeks!
J.R.: Ok, you're telling me that my -- my son and my ex-wife are on a road trip with some violent ex-con who just got out of prison?

Annie: It's ringing. Babe? Babe, are you there? Is Emma ok?
Singer: How much longer can I wait? Wait
Annie: Babe, hello?
[Music plays while Richie holds Babe's phone and listens]
Annie: Babe? Babe, can you hear me? Babe? Richie? Richie, if that is you, you better not hurt Emma. You lay one hand on her -- I swear, bring her home right now, or so help me.
[Thunder]
Babe: Oh, good -- did someone call, did it work?
Richie: Um --
Babe: Who was it? Did you tell them that we're ok?
Richie: Actually, I dropped the phone and the battery popped out.
Babe: It doesn't work at all? Let me see.
Richie: No -- I'm sorry, I think I broke your phone.
Babe: Let me see it --
Richie: It's completely dead.
Annie: Richie didn't say one word. That's how I know it's all -- it's all a sick game to him, to make -- make him in control and make me look -- feel -- feel helpless.
Ryan: What -- what is it? What --
Annie: Ryan, I didn't hear -- I didn't hear voices. There were no voices in the background. A 3-year-old and a 5-year-old -- they make noise. Why were they not making noise?
Ryan: Ok, but Babe is with them, Emma's guard is with them -- did you trying calling him again?
Annie: I left about a thousand messages! What if Richie's hurt them? What if he's done something to them?
Ryan: Ok, ok, all right. Ok, shh, shh.
Greenlee: Did she leave a phone number? Ok, ok, I'll get back to you.
Aidan: Did you get anything?
Greenlee: No, I spoke to Amanda.
Aidan: And?
Greenlee: She doesn't know. They went on a picnic, Babe didn't say where.
Singer: Can I wait? Wait how much longer can I wait? ♪
Kendall: So, we are here to celebrate.
Zach: What's the occasion?
Kendall: Well, Josh and I just came back from the hospital, where I fed our baby boy his very first bottle.
[Kendall chuckles]
Zach: A bottle? He drank from a bottle --
Kendall: Yes.
Zach: Not the tube?
Kendall: No, no, not the tube, the bottle, Zach. The nurse said that he was ready. So I held Ian in my arms and fed him my milk.
Zach: How much did he get?
Kendall: Uh -- he sucked up the whole thing!
Zach: He did, and he took to it right away, there's no problem?
Kendall: Are you kidding me? He drinks like his father.
Zach: Like his dad?
Kendall: Yeah!
Zach: Nice, it's going to be perfect!
Kendall: Yes, it's perfect. I know, I told you. I know it -- oh! Ah -- pretty soon, our son will be ready to come home. Huh.
Singer: How much longer can I wait? ♪
Krystal: Wes? My bartender? No, no way.
J.R.: No, there is no "Wes." His name is Richie Novak. He just got out of prison for armed robbery and assault.
Krystal: Oh, my God. Oh, my --
Colby: Krystal, it's ok, it's ok.
Krystal: No, Colby, he has my daughter and my grandson. What have I done?
J.R.: Yes, I want the entire security team on this, I want every man that you have. I don't care if I'm not employed by Chandler Enterprises anymore. We're talking about my son, Adam Chandler's grandson -- make it happen!
Aidan: Ryan?
Ryan: Yeah?
Aidan: Krystal has contact information for everyone that works at The Comeback.
Ryan: Was Richie in there?
Aidan: No, but "Wes" was. I've got his home address.
Ryan: Oh, that's great. Ok, I'm going to go out for a little bit, all right? Don't worry, we're going to find him, we got him now. We got him. Ok.
Singer: Walked right out how much longer can I wait?
Greenlee: Annie -- um -- can I help you? Can I do something?
Singer: Wait ♪
[Annie hugs Greenlee]
Kendall: Zach, I am telling you, the second he drank from that bottle, it felt like everything would be ok.
Zach: It will be ok.
Josh: Hannah? Food?
Hannah: No, thanks.
Kendall: Oh, no. No -- no bubbly for me, I have some bottles to fill.
Zach: Ah.
Kendall: Hmm.
Hannah: I'll pass.
Josh: I'll take some.
[Kendall chuckles]
Kendall: Um -- so, Hannah, where have you been all this time?
Hannah: Traveling mostly.
[Thunder]
Kendall: Well, you know what they say -- "the -- the journey is more important than the destination." So how was your journey? Did you find what you were looking for?
Hannah: Well, let's just say it was time to come back to work.
Kendall: Oh. And we're all thrilled.
Babe: You really are great with them.
Richie: They're great kids.
Babe: Well, Little Adam thinks that you are Mr. Incredible and Buzz Lightyear rolled into one, and Emma -- she thinks that you are Prince Eric. "The Little Mermaid"?
Richie: "Little" who?
Babe: No? Oh -- ok, look, how about this -- they like you a lot.
Richie: The feeling is mutual.
Babe: You really are a natural, though, and when you have that family that you said you were planning on having, you're going to have some really lucky kids.
Richie: Well, I have all the respect in the world for parenthood, but, I mean, I wouldn't know where I would end up if it wasn't for the love of my mom and dad. But being a parent -- that's a tough job.
Babe: Don't I know it. But every time I look at Little Adam's face -- but you -- I could totally see you with a little girl.
Richie: What are you talking about?
Babe: Oh, come on, you and Emma -- you guys totally have a connection.
Richie: Yeah, well, your friend Annie -- she sure did hit the jackpot. And I know she's worried, so maybe we should get going.
Babe: It's still pouring out, though.
Richie: Yeah, but if you want to, I can get us home safe.
[Thunder]
Richie: Hey -- that's just Mother Nature doing her thing.
Babe: Hmm.
Richie: What's the matter?
Babe: Nothing. It's just that -- do you really think that -- that leaving now would be the best move?
Richie: Only if you're comfortable.
Babe: Well, I can decide what's safe for my own son, but how do I even make that call for someone else's child? How would I -- how do we know what Annie would want?
[Music plays]
Tad: J.R.? I just heard from Aidan. Is there anything new?
J.R.: They could be anywhere.
Tad: They couldn't have gone that far, and at least according to Ryan, they have a security guard with them.
J.R.: I swear to God, if anything has happened to my son --
Tad: No, no, no, don't think like that. I know how you feel -- if anybody does, I do. I realize how badly you want your son back, so focus on that -- on Little Adam and Babe, getting all of them home safe and sound.
Krystal: I can't believe how stupid I was. I sang that boy's praises to everybody who would listen. I mean, I told Babe what a great guy he was, I gave the guy a raise.
Colby: Ok, but this is not your fault.
Adam: J.R. called -- called me. He told me what happened.
Krystal: Listen -- listen, Adam, if you came here to tell me what a damn fool I am, then just go ahead and let it rip.
Adam: I came here because I'm concerned about my grandson -- and -- and Babe -- and you.

Annie: I should've kept Emma with me, we should've all left town together.
Greenlee: Ok, Annie --
Annie: Why did I let her leave -- get out of my sight?
Greenlee: Ryan is going to bring your little girl home to you, Emma is going to be back with you soon.
Annie: Did you ever talk to Richie?
Greenlee: Um -- I mean, no really. I said hi to him a few times behind the bar.
Annie: Did he make any kind of impression?
Greenlee: Uh -- well, there was this one time I -- I came in in a really foul mood because -- that I started going on and on about how when I was a kid I was always left alone by my parents, so the cook would make me the most ridiculous meal. I mean, I'm 4 years old, I'm eating beef Wellington and lobster tails for lunch. And Richie -- Wes -- Richie went, um, to the back and -- well, he brought out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a glass of milk. It was really sweet.
Annie: Classic Richie.
Greenlee: I mean, he just seemed so genuine, so nice --
Annie: Right. Richie's a nice guy. The sister, though -- that's -- that's one crazy chick. Evil, disturbed -- not Richie, though -- me.
Greenlee: I had no idea.
Annie: The story of my life.
Greenlee: I made all those cracks about your perfect life.
Annie: You were right -- it was far from perfect.
Greenlee: I shouldn't have said anything.
Annie: It's ok.
Greenlee: No. It's not, it was really cruel.
Annie: You didn't know.
Greenlee: I am really, really sorry.
Ryan: Did the guy staying in this room seem strange to you at all?
Manager: Strange how?
Ryan: I don't know, did -- did he say anything that struck you as -- as funny or just a little bit off?
Manager: No, he's quiet, and he pays his bill on time. Other than that, I --
Ryan: Ok, thank you very much. Here you go. Thanks.
Manager: Yep.
[Door closes]
Ryan: So this is where the son of a bitch has been hiding out, Aidan. He's been here, and I'm going to kill him.
Aidan: Yeah, I want to kill him, too. But first, we have to find him.
Ryan: There's got to be something here to lead us to where Richie took Babe and the kids, something. What, Aidan? What? What?
Aidan: A guy, right? A young, single guy's been living here for weeks.
Ryan: Yeah?
Aidan: Well, there's no used towels, there's no dirty clothes, there's no empty beer cans. I mean, look at this place, Ryan, it's spotless.
Ryan: Ok, so the guy's a neat freak.
Aidan: This more than "neat," man. This is a message.
Ryan: To us?
Aidan: Yep. Richie knew we were coming. There's no computers. There's no way to check his email or look through his files or anything.
Ryan: And the manager said that he didn't use the landline at all.
Aidan: Yeah, but that's because he didn't want to leave a record. I mean, what do we have here? We've got travel brochures, takeout menus. Apart from that, I mean, there's not a single receipt in the trash can. I mean, there's not a scrap of paper anywhere.
Ryan: There's nothing in here to tell us what he's been doing, what he's been planning -- nothing.
Aidan: There's nothing incriminating here at all. This guy is smart, Ryan.
Ryan: Yeah? Well, he's also a sociopath, and I don't like it.
Aidan: You know, Richie -- I recon he has designed this whole thing for our benefit. He staged it so we would walk in here and see a normal room occupied by a normal guy.
Ryan: Which is exactly how Annie said her brother works. He gets you to start doubting yourself -- that's what he's been doing. He's been making it seem like Annie is the crazy one, and he's been doing that from the beginning. I mean, does this guy actually think that he can turn me against my own wife, that he can start me thinking that he's a martyr instead of some sort of sadistic maniac?
Aidan: I guess Richie wanted us to find this, too.
[Aidan hands Ryan a picture of Emma]
Richie: We can stay or we can go -- it's up to you.
[Thunder]
Richie: What's the matter?
Babe: I just -- um -- I got a little freaked out at first -- being stuck in this rainstorm, and then the phone not working, and we can't call anyone and nobody can call us --
[Thunder]
Babe: I just don't like being so out of control.
Richie: Yeah, trust me, I know exactly how you feel. Look, you don't have to worry. I'm going to take care of everything.
Zach: Pass the mu shu, please.
Kendall: Oh, well, now we know where Ian gets his appetite from.
Zach: It's good.
Josh: Yes, and he has been making great progress lately.
Kendall: Hmm -- he gained nearly half an ounce.
Josh: That's right, and his heart, liver, and kidney functions are all improving.
Zach: So you think he's out of the woods?
Josh: Well, with all preemies, there's always challenges. But I've kept a close eye on his chart, talked to his doctors, and I think it only gets better from here.
Zach: I'll drink to that.
Kendall: Yeah. I --
Josh: Oh --
Kendall: Cheers to that.
Josh: I've got some new photos of him, too. Oh, but, you know, you're eating.
Kendall: No -- bust out with them right now.
Josh: You see him three times a day.
Zach: Let's have a look. Come on.
Kendall: That's not enough. Come on, come on. All right --
Zach: That's a good-looking kid.
Kendall: Wait, wait, wait, hold on, wait a minute. Look, look, look, look.
[Kendall laughs]
Josh: He flirts with all the nurses.
Zach: Yeah?
Kendall: He does. This is -- this is one with Spikey. He's waving to me, he's so cute.
[Josh chuckles]
Kendall: My mom thinks that he has the Kane chin. I think he has his dad's chin.
Zach: As long as he doesn't have the Kane mouth.
Kendall: Nice. Thank you.
[Thunder]
Kendall: Oh, sorry. How -- how rude are we? Let's let Hannah see.
[Hannah looks at the picture of Ian then flips to one of Zach hugging Kendall]
Hannah: You're so lucky to have him.
Krystal: Be careful. Sorry -- sorry we had to close early! We'll be open the usual time tomorrow, be careful.
Julia: Annie? Is Emma ok? Have you heard from Babe? I'm so sorry. This is all my fault.
Tad: Watch over your brother? Excuse me, ladies, can I borrow Julia for a minute?
Julia: Kathy was getting sick, and I didn't want Emma to -- to catch it, and I thought Babe would be fine --
Tad: I know, I know. Listen to me, ok, listen to me. You were doing the best job you could. You were doing what any mother would do, so was Babe -- you were looking after Annie's daughter. She knows that.
Julia: Please let them be all right.
Tad: They will be. They'll be fine, all of them.

J.R.: Did you find Little Adam?
Adam: Have you found my grandson?
Krystal: What about Babe?
Lt. Perry: Ok, I put out an APB on Novak's car, my men are on it.
J.R.: That's it?
Lt. Perry: Without any leads, that's the best I can do. Plus, the roads are a mess out there, and that's not helping any.
J.R.: I don't care if you have to drive a tank down the roadway, you find my son.
Adam: Where the hell is Derek? The chief of police should be on this.
Lt. Perry: Ok, he's visiting his daughter in Hawaii. I have to speak with Mrs. Lavery. So, Richard Novak is your brother? Now, the record indicates he served seven years for armed robbery and assault.
Annie: That's right.
Lt. Perry: Would you characterize your brother as being violent?
Annie: Yes.
Lt. Perry: Do you believe he's capable of physically harming other people?
Annie: Yes.
Lt. Perry: On a scale of 1 to 10, would you describe it? What's the likelihood --
Annie: 10. 10.
Krystal: Oh --
Lt. Perry: Ok, would you describe your brother as having psychological problems?
Annie: I would describe my brother as being deranged and extremely dangerous. He should not, under any circumstances, be alone with a woman and two children!
Adam: Krystal -- stop.
Krystal: You should be blowing a gasket right now instead of looking at me like that with those -- what? Adam, what is it?
Colby: Hey.
Adam: Krystal what I did -- what I tried to do to Jenny -- it was wrong, and I'm very sorry. I don't -- I don't expect forgiveness. I want you to know that not a day goes by that I don't wish I could undo it. I wish I could go back and erase any pain I caused you -- or your beautiful little girl.
Hannah: Well, I have a few things I need to do before I head home. I'm so glad Ian is doing so well.
Kendall: Thank you.
Josh: I'm going to go see if she needs any help.
Zach: Ahem.
[Thunder]
Kendall: Mmm. So, Hannah's back.
Zach: Mm-hmm.
Kendall: And she's all yours.
Josh: What the hell did Kendall and I walk in on? And don't give me any BS about you having a bad day.
Hannah: Fine, I won't. We were discussing the night that Zach came to my room at the Yacht Club. The night that you keep grilling me about.
Josh: And?
Hannah: You want the truth?
Josh: Yeah, that would be nice, for once.
Hannah: I'll tell you exactly what happened between me and Zach. Nothing.
[Thunder]
Babe: Thank you.
Richie: For what?
Babe: Well, for making me feel better. You're really good at it, huh.
Richie: Well, maybe the storm will pass, and we won't have to worry about the roads.
Babe: Let's just hang out a little longer and see, ok?
Richie: Now, where did that smile go?
Babe: I know, I'm sorry, it's just -- I'm really worried about Annie.

Babe: But she's really protective of Emma, and she doesn't like being away from her, so --

Babe: Annie, um -- she's come close to losing Emma so many times. And I -- but no matter who she's come up against or what she's had to sacrifice, Annie did it. She loves that little girl so much. She'd do anything for her.
Richie: There's something I have to tell you. It's about my family.
Babe: You started to tell me about your sister.
Richie: There's -- there's more. There's a lot more. It's -- things I've kept secret.
Babe: Like what?

[Phone rings]
Annie: Oh, wait, wait. It's the guard Ryan hired to watch Emma. Chuck, where are you? Is Emma ok? What do you mean, you're not with them? Did Babe tell you where they were going? Oh, my God. The guard didn't go with them on -- on the trip. They're alone with Richie.
Greenlee: Oh, God.

J.R.: Didn't you hear her? Why are you still standing here?

Lt. Perry: As of now, there's no indication any crime's been committed. I don't like the scenario any more than you do.
Tad: So why don't you tell us what you intend to do about it.

Greenlee: Ok -- no, no, it's ok. Listen, Aidan, Ryan, the cops -- they're all out there. It's going to be ok. Annie, listen, I am sorry. I am so sorry. I mean, I know you've heard a thousand sorrys today, but I'm going to make it up to you. I'm going to make it up to you and Ryan.
Annie: It's ok, Greenlee.

Richie: You are pretty amazing. But I think I need to tell you now, before things get, um -- it just wouldn't be right if I didn't --
Emma: Wes --
Richie: Hey.
Babe: Hey.
Richie: Look who's up.
Emma: Where are we?
Richie: Oh, we are in the cabin where we were roasting marshmallows.
Babe: We're just waiting for the rain to stop.

Aidan: Hey, Ryan, just take it easy, all right? We're going to have to find Richie first.
Ryan: He's got my daughter. He has got my 5-year-old --

Aidan: I know, and if we want to track him down, we're going to have to try and get inside his head first, just to see what he wants.
Ryan: Well, obviously, he wants to torture Annie, right? I mean, is all of this part of something -- I don't know -- sick and twisted?
Aidan: I -- I don't know. I don't know, man, but there's -- there's definitely a larger plan.
Ryan: Well, Richie thinks that Annie ruined his life, all right? So he wants revenge. He wants -- he wants to destroy our family, is what he wants.
Aidan: What, by hurting a little child? I mean, come on, man, the chances are he's not going to go that far.
Ryan: Aidan, you still don't get it. To Richie, Emma represents everything that Annie took from him, all right? And he's got her, and there is nothing in here that tells us where they are.

Zach: Last time she was in town, she wanted something -- from me.
Hannah: Oh --
