J.R.: Do you know why I'm withdrawing my offer, Ava?

Jonathan: She doesn't need you or your network, J.R.

J.R.: It could kill a startup venture like this. Isn't that right -- killer?

[J.R. laughs]

Jonathan: I want you to get the hell out of here right now.

J.R.: Oh.

Ava: J.R.? Wait.

Amanda: Is that our mango tango?

Babe: Is it too light?

Amanda: No, it's perfect, but you normally have on rain bloom. What's going on?

Babe: I'm -- I'm just playing around.

Amanda: Oh, you have a date.

Babe: It doesn't -- what? No, it's not even -- it's not that big of a deal. It's just a --

Amanda: A date. So, who's the lucky guy?

Babe: Wes.

Amanda: Wes, the new bartender at The Comeback -- as good walking away as he looks walking toward you.

Babe: Stop it! I don't know -- I haven't had time to check him out like that.

Amanda: Oh, come on.

Babe: I was too busy letting him save my life.

Amanda: Oh, right, right, right -- the holdup guy.

Babe: Yeah!

Amanda: Ok. So, is this you, I don't know, being merciful?

Babe: He's kind of cute and --

Amanda: Yeah.

Babe: He's sweet, too. I don't --

Amanda: And hot.

Babe: Stop! It's nothing serious, I promise. It's just a date!

Kendall: Ooh -- hello. God, I have missed this!

[Babe squeals]

Babe: Hello!

Kendall: I have missed this!

Amanda: Kendall!

Babe: Welcome home!

Kendall: Hi, ladies.

Amanda: Oh, welcome office!

Babe: Or just welcome work -- you're back!

Kendall: Yes, I am back -- thank you, thank you. So --

Amanda: Yeah?

Kendall: Have I missed anything?

Babe and Amanda: Uh --

Amanda: You want to take this one?

Kendall: What?

Babe: Just a little bit.

Kendall: Really?

Greenlee: So, what was "so" important you had to drag me all the way over here this morning?

Aidan: Well, I was going to talk to you about the locket. But judging from the cheerful expression on your face, I think it might as well wait.

Greenlee: So, you need me now -- is that it?

Aidan: What's the matter now, Greenlee?

Greenlee: Nothing.

Aidan: No, obviously there is, all right? Otherwise, you wouldn't look like you were either going to throw something at me or --

Greenlee: Ok, you know what you can do with yourself, you smug, condescending British little twit? You can just kiss my --

Aidan: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What -- what is going on?

Greenlee: You know, if you wanted to get rid of me, Aidan, you could've just said so.

Ryan: What I'm going to do is I'm going to go inside, and I'm going to make sure everything is ok, Annie.

Annie: I'm all right as long as you're here.

Ryan: I'm not going anywhere.

Annie: That's what I worry about, Ryan. If Richie ever did anything to you, I'd just --

Ryan: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I'm a pretty tough guy, remember? Come on.

Babe: So you being back, this can only mean good things.

Amanda: For Ian and Spike.

Babe: Yes, and for us.

Amanda: Fusion's really Fusion again.

Kendall: Well, I just want to thank you guys for -- for everything. I mean, you've -- you've been amazing, so thank you.

Babe: So, is Ian coming home, then?

Kendall: Hopefully soon. His weight is up, which --

Babe: Oh, good.

Kendall: Which -- which is good, and -- and he reaches out now with his little, tiny sweet little hands. They're so tiny but they're so cute. And then -- and then when I hold him and I -- and I do the whole little kangaroo thing on my chest --

Babe: Uh-huh?

Kendall: We can speak softly to him now.

Babe: Oh, my gosh.

Kendall: So it's -- it's -- it's amazing, and this is not -- what is -- please tell me this is not all mine!

Babe: No worries. Amanda and Annie and I -- we could get you caught up by tomorrow.

Amanda: Yeah.

Kendall: No, no, no. Annie actually -- she won't be here today. She's taking a personal day.

Babe: Is everything ok?

Kendall: Uh, family stuff.

Di: Hello, hello. Hi!

Babe: Well, hello!

Kendall: Hi!

Babe: Are you kidding me?

Amanda: It's surprise return day -- who's next?

Babe: What -- so what pried you away from Soho?

Di: Uh -- oh, our -- our fearless leader called me.

Kendall: Yeah -- Di is here for our staff meeting.

Amanda: Oh, well, is this about our next Fusion Green push?

Kendall: No, this actually is about Greenlee.

Babe: Well, there's a buzz kill if I've ever heard one.

Kendall: Ok, just -- just hear me out on this one, please.

Amanda: Ok -- what about her?

Kendall: I will not let Fusion be torn apart.

Di: By Greenlee? No way.

Kendall: So I am calling a ceasefire with her in this office.

Babe: I'm sorry -- what?

Amanda: I -- I don't get it.

Kendall: Ok. Greenlee and I will be running Fusion together again.

Amanda: But Babe's been --

Kendall: Yes, I -- yes, I know. Babe, you have been amazing, you have. You have covered for me and Greenlee and I love you for it, I do but this is for the long-term future of the company.

Babe: I get it.

Amanda: I hate it.

Di: Can you really work with Greenlee again? I mean, after everything she's done, can you really see this happening?

Kendall: It has to.

Aidan: You want to fill me in? You want to catch me up on this or are you going to make me guess?

Greenlee: Actually, I'm not even going to talk to you at all, so see ya.

Aidan: Greenlee, please. Come on, come on, please? Just sit. Sit down.

Greenlee: Ok. How about, "I won't tell Greenlee anything that she doesn't need to know"? Sound familiar?

Aidan: Not particularly, no.

Greenlee: Ok, then what about, um, you know, "Greenlee doesn't really mean anything to me anyway"?

Aidan: Ah, man. Look, I really -- I really didn't expect you to hear that, all right? I only said that because I needed Ryan to give me more information. Ryan and I are working on a case together, and it's confidential.

Greenlee: So, what, one of his flunkies makes you eat sand and suddenly you guys are best friends again?

Aidan: Look, no, no -- I really don't think that it was one of Ryan's men that knocked me over the head with that rock, which is why I need to speak to you. Greenlee, I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't want you to hear that. I didn't mean it. All right? Listen, I need your help. I need you to think back to the night that that locket washed up onto the beach.

Greenlee: Does the locket have something to do with Ryan's case?

Ryan: I am not in any danger.

Annie: Ok, Ryan, just listen to me. Richie has no moral compass. He never did. He sees love, he sees family bonds, and he targets them. He wanted to kill my father the day he pushed him out the window.

Ryan: I know, I know. We don't have to go over that.

Annie: Yes -- yes, we do. because I need you to understand. Richie destroyed my family once, and he's trying to do it again.

Ryan: But he can't, because we're on to him. We know what he's up to, ok? And Emma is safe -- Emma's with Zach and Kendall.

Annie: I can't even take care of my own daughter.

Ryan: What are you talking about? We are taking care of her, the best way that we can, ok? Come here. Come on.

Annie: Hmm.

Ryan: You know what we'll do? We'll go visit her tonight, ok? And -- and we'll make sure that we take her to school tomorrow.

Annie: I just can't stand being away from her.

Ryan: I know. I know. You going to be ok if I put these away? You sure?

Annie: Yeah.

Ryan: Ok.

Man's voice: You can't fool the world forever, Annie. Your time will come. Oh, I can't wait till your time comes.

Ava: J.R., would you give us a minute, please?

Jonathan: What are you doing?

Ava: I need to talk to him.

Jonathan: Why?

Ava: You know why, Jonathan -- because of that network that he wants to do with me.

Jonathan: No, he doesn't. Did you hear him?

Ava: Oh, come on, trust me. He would not have come here if he wanted to blow the whole thing up.

Jonathan: J.R. came here to make sure that I saw my past splashed all over the news.

Ava: That, too.

Jonathan: Which is exactly why you can't trust him, ok? He'll do anything, Ava. He'll say anything --

Ava: Shh, shh. Come on. Don't you trust me? Trust me to handle this.

Jonathan: You shouldn't have to deal with all this crap.

Ava: And that's exactly what it is. Who cares?

Jonathan: Everyone.

Ava: You didn't do all that stuff.

Jonathan: I did. I did all those terrible things. Now it's costing you.

Ava: No, no. Listen, I'm not going anywhere, ok? And if somebody's going after you, they might as well be coming after me, and you know I'll deck them.

Jonathan: You know, I think you would. Just be careful with J.R., please.

Ava: Piece of cake. J.R.?

J.R.: Is it my turn now?

Jonathan: Would you call me if you need anything?

J.R.: So?

Ava: So, about what -- what you were saying --

J.R.: Nothing personal.

Ava: No, I'm ready for the new media. You know, the -- the Fusion ads, they don't really get all my personality out there, you know?

J.R.: What, did they short you oxygen in the OR? I rescinded my offer. That means "took back."

Ava: Huh.

J.R.: Yeah. I don't want you anymore.

Ava: Right. That's bull.

Hannah: Miss me? When I heard about Spike and the accident, I decided to come --

Josh: Rush back and sit at my desk?

Hannah: Well, Zach needs me.

Josh: Did he say that to you or was it the other way around?

Hannah: You look good, Josh. I did miss you, you know?

Josh: Yeah, but not as much as Zach -- right? Let me ask you something, Hannah. The night you left, you said you wanted to have Zach's baby. Did you sleep with him?

Hannah: That's none of your business.

Josh: Well, it kind of is since Kendall is my sister.

Hannah: Why don't you ask him?

Josh: Zach doesn't need you here, or anywhere else.

Hannah: Well, that's funny -- Zach welcomed me back.

Josh: Oh, yeah. Well, you know what? Like you said, Zach has been through a lot. He's exhausted, he's concerned about his family. He's vulnerable right now.

Hannah: Meaning what?

Josh: Meaning a sharp operator like you might see him as a mark.

Hannah: Wow. You give me far too much credit, and Zach, very little.

Josh: I don't know about that. You're a pretty formidable woman, Hannah.

Hannah: Well, I'm glad you still noticed. And I'm not lying in wait for Zach, if that's what you're worried about.

Josh: Really?

Hannah: Really. When I came back to Pine Valley, I -- I was searching for anything or anyone to bring Ethan closer to me. I realized it couldn't be done. My son's dead and nothing can bring him back. No other child can replace him.

Josh: Then Zach's off the hook.

Hannah: Yeah. But you're not.

[Music plays at The Comeback]

Krystal: Wes, come on. You saved my daughter's life.

Wes: Yeah, well, I was a hell of a lot more scared than he was.

Krystal: Oh.

Wes: Ok? So, anyway, can I go get glasses or something?

Krystal: No, I -- I am going to give you that raise, Wes, and as of now, you are promoted to bartender/bouncer.

[Krystal chuckles]

Wes: I'll settle for a free beer and a new bar rag, ok?

Krystal: Now, seriously, you get all of that, but I just want you to know you have made a friend for life.

[Krystal chuckles]

Greenlee: So, what does the locket have to do with Ryan's case?

Aidan: I can't tell you, Greenlee, because it's a case.

Greenlee: Which you want me to help you with, but you won't tell me anything, because Ryan's involved, and God forbid the evildoer gets involved and messes it all up.

Aidan: Well, can you blame him? I mean, come on.

Greenlee: No, but you know what? I don't care anymore.

Aidan: Yeah, that's a funny one. I don't believe you.

Greenlee: Well, believe all you want. I have to get to work. It's our first day back.

Aidan: "Our first day"?

Greenlee: Yeah, me and Kendall? See, life really does move on. See ya.

Aidan: Can you just wait up a minute?

Greenlee: Oh, my --

Wes: I got it.

Greenlee: Are you ok?

Aidan: Yeah, I'm ok. I'm all right. Fine.

Greenlee: Ok, Aidan, people smacked in the head with boulders usually aren't ok. You shouldn't be out playing detective.

Aidan: Wow, you really do care, don't you?

Greenlee: You better not be faking.

Aidan: I'm not faking, but this little locket that you gave me is now causing a lot of trouble, all right? It's part of a really, really big puzzle that now I have to solve.

Greenlee: Well, I happen to be great at puzzles.

Aidan: Well, you're not working on this one with me if that's what you think. Doesn't mean I'm kicking you to the curb, though, or any other place, all right?

Greenlee: Meaning you really do care.

Aidan: No -- meaning any guy dumb enough to kick you is going to lose a foot. No, I -- for the record, I really do care, all right? It's just that I need you to put up with me for the moment -- this vagueness, detective stuff.

Greenlee: Well, what's in it for me?

Aidan: The solution to your mystery.

Greenlee: Our mystery.

Aidan: Well, it's more crime than it is romance, but you never know.

Singer: So long

Greenlee: Well, I have to go to --

Singer: So long well, I tried to

Greenlee: Work.

Aidan: Yeah.

Greenlee: Huh. I have to go to work.

Singer: Is anyone listening above this atmosphere?

[Phone rings]

Aidan: Hello? You got something on the locket? I'm on my way.

Ryan: Hey, what do you want for lunch? I'll make it.

Annie: Ahem -- I'm not hungry.

Ryan: Hmm. You still thinking about him?

Annie: Huh. I can't stop thinking about him. Wherever he is, Richie knows that and he loves it.

Ryan: What can I do to distract you?

Annie: I should be working.

Ryan: What? You promised -- you said no more Fusion until we find Richie. You said that.

Annie: Ok, then I'll unpack, then.

Ryan: No, no, come on. I want you to relax.

Annie: I know. It's just a few things Julia dropped off from Wildwind. I haven't gotten a chance to unpack them yet, so --

[Knock on door]

Ryan: It's ok, it's all right. The guys downstairs know not to send up anybody that we don't know. Who is it?

Jonathan: It's your killer brother.

Ryan: Jonathan?

Hannah: Can we just start over? Hmm? No tricks, I promise.

Josh: There's something you need to know. Kendall and her family are now my family. And if you want to get close to me, I'm assuming it's to get close to them.

Hannah: How do I prove you wrong?

Josh: I don't know -- that's your problem. Here's another one. You make a play for Zach, mess with Kendall, you will know me, and you won't like what you get to know.

Kendall: Greenlee and I together is simply good business. It shows our clients that Fusion is solid.

Babe: Ok, but what kind of message is it sending to Greenlee?

Kendall: Greenlee knows that she and I will never be friends again.

Di: Are you sure about that?

Kendall: Yes, I'm very sure.

Babe: Ok well, one bit of good news -- at least Ava's not pregnant.

Di: "Oh"!

Kendall: "Oh, oh," what?

Di: You guys haven't seen the latest.

Babe: Oh, please don't -- no.

Kendall: What next?

Di: I found this on the way over here.

Babe: Oh, my good God!

Kendall: Are you kidding me? Is that real?

Babe: Are you serious? So the whole naked surf party was just the beginning?

Di: Yeah, and they -- they make it sound like Jonathan's going to kill Ava at any minute.

Kendall: No, see, these -- these tabloids, they always try to dig deeper for something.

Amanda: Jonathan deserves better.

Kendall: Well -- well, I'm sure he does, but you know what? That's not our problem right now -- this is our problem.

Babe: I -- no. I say that we just drop Ava.

Kendall: What do you think?

Di: No, no, no -- come on. That's a little drastic.

Babe: What -- really? No, I'm sorry, but you haven't been here, you have no idea. She's a mess!

Amanda: I am with Babe. I say we cut our losses with the little train wreck.

Kendall: Maybe, maybe. You know what? Give us one good reason not to.

Di: What, that the sales figures in every product line that Ava endorses are sky-high?

Kendall: Well --

Babe: Kendall --

Kendall: What do you guys think?

Babe: Please tell me. Ava is trouble. Don't consider this!

Di: I know two companies in New York that would grab Ava up in a second.

Babe and Amanda: Great!

Amanda: Flip a coin, let's ship her to the loser.

Babe: Peace out, we'll see you later.

Kendall: Yeah, I'm done with her.

Greenlee: Ava is Fusion Green. She stays.

Ava: So, your plan was to get my name trashed in print and make sure I'm worthless, and then swoop in like the power player that you are and give me another chance -- for no money?

J.R.: Oh. They didn't remove any of that ego when they took out the appendix, did they?

Ava: Didn't remove any of my brain, either.

J.R.: Then wrap it around this. No crazy girl should be dating a psycho boy.

Ava: Hey, keep it off Jonathan, ok?

J.R.: Look, that's just the viewers' opinion.

Ava: Huh. Fine. I don't have to work with you. I'm sure I could find another guy out there who's loaded and doesn't read that crap or give a damn who I'm with.

J.R.: Trust me, Ava, nobody would invest in something this big without checking in on the star. Your boyfriend's the only one who'd --

Ava: Who'd what?

J.R.: Would put a dime in. I made an offer to him, but he already passed.

Ava: Why would Jonathan pass? He wants me to be a star.

J.R.: I don't know. He told me that -- that Ryan wouldn't buy any business that I brought him.

Ava: Well, that makes sense.

J.R.: Well, it's too bad. Jonathan thought it was a killer idea, too, and so will my other investors, as long as I don't have you and the beast dragging me down.

Ava: Do you think that Jonathan told Ryan about the network yet?

J.R.: I doubt it. Well, you know, if you still want to stay onboard with this, don't you think Jonathan owes you? Jonathan I can't imagine your shock -- it was the last thing both of you needed. The tabloid article.

Ryan: The -- what --

Annie: What?

Ryan: What are you talking about?

Jonathan: This -- this is what you saw, right, Annie? This is what you were freaked out about?

Annie: Oh -- no. This is awful, Jonathan. I hadn't seen this.

Ryan: Yeah, me, neither.

Annie: I was just -- I overreacted before.

Jonathan: So you're not afraid of me?

Annie: No. No, of course not -- I'm sorry.

Jonathan: No, don't apologize. It's ok.

Annie: Um -- I'll let you guys talk. Excuse me.

Jonathan: Whew.

Jonathan: You have to drop me, Ryan -- right now.

[While looking at her high school yearbook out on the balcony, Annie reads Richie's inscription, then finds his picture which has been scribbled over in pen until it's unrecognizable.]

Richie's voice: "Hey, Annie. You are hard to keep up with, but if anybody can do it, it's me. We're both graduating -- you on time, me two years early. This is only the beginning of our life, so no matter what, I'll always be around. Love you forever, Annie. Your brother, Richie."

[Annie tears out the page and

Ryan: Nobody is going to remember this two days from now. But you're my brother, forever.

Jonathan: Ryan, this is not going away.

Ryan: You are my brother.

Jonathan: And sometimes, obviously, Ryan, it would be better if I weren't your brother.

Ryan: Jon --

Jonathan: Wait -- Ryan, I'm going to lose us business. Ok? After people see this, who's going to have a meeting with me?

Ryan: Stop. Just --

Jonathan: Who's going to have --

Ryan: Stop.

Jonathan: I'm right.

Ryan: Stop.

Jonathan: It's true, isn't it?

Ryan: Let me worry about the business, all right?

Jonathan: No, no. I'm not letting you take this on.

Ryan: I left you once, Jonathan. That's not going to happen again.

Jonathan: It's different now. You have Annie. You have Emma, you have Spike --

Ryan: And I have you, my family. Look, I could dissolve this company tomorrow, and I would be fine for the rest of my life, all right? I don't -- I don't need meetings on golf courses and private yachts to be happy, I need my family. And you are my family.

Annie: Ryan's right. People that don't know you might believe all that garbage, and they might say stupid and -- and hurtful things. But once they get to know you, they -- they admire you, and they love you.

Ryan: You know what we should do to retaliate? We should start our own website, get testimonials from people.

Annie: Yeah, like Emma. What other uncle would plan a surprise teddy bear picnic for their niece? You're the real deal, Jonathan, and you've -- you've been through some horrible things, and you've ended up a great guy.

Jonathan: Well, I, um -- I had lots of help.

Annie: Yeah. And you were strong enough to accept that help. You've made some good choices, and you continue to make them. You know, other people spend the rest of their lives lashing out and hurting and hating the people that love them, but not you. Everybody should have a brother like you.

Greenlee: Do you need more time to break the news?

Kendall: I told them.

Amanda: Can't you tell by the cheery atmosphere?

Babe: You're back.

Kendall: Ok, we are running Fusion together for the good of the company.

Greenlee: Right. And our first order of business is Ava -- why she should stay.

Amanda: Well, can we vote on who else should stay -- or not?

Greenlee: Do I like Ava? Do I want to hang with her, give each other pedicures? No. But something happens to her in front of the camera. She's got this energy.

Babe: Yeah, like a runaway train.

Greenlee: She attracts people.

Amanda: She can repel them, too.

Greenlee: Ok, fine, then she's a love-to-hate -- go with it.

Di: Oh. That's -- that's easy to imagine.

Greenlee: Right. I walked into that one. Well, then take it from someone who knows. Being a love-to-hate attracts a lot of attention, whether you want it or not. Fusion wants it.

Babe: Fusion also wants to sell products, not scandals.

Greenlee: Well, our little Ava is doing a lot of it, and quite well.

Babe: Ok. Well, if my opinion means anything at all, I still think that she should go.

Amanda: I'm with you.

Di: Well, ladies, I still think she should stay.

Greenlee: This decision is actually up to Kendall and me. So, I vote she stays. Partner?

Kendall: I agree. Ava stays.

Ava: Jonathan doesn't owe me anything.

J.R.: Oh, I wish I had a girlfriend as understanding as you.

[Ava chuckles]

Ava: Yeah, you wish.

J.R.: Look, if you and Jonathan want to grow old together, be my guest if that's what you want. Is it?

Ava: Look, me and Jonathan are none of your business.

J.R.: Fine. If you think this maniac story is no big deal, don't go to Jonathan. Don't go ask him for money. You'd be a fool, but, hey, it wouldn't be the first time.

Ava: Oh, my God. I knew it. You did do it.

J.R.: Did what?

Ava: The story -- you planted it!

J.R.: Oh, I didn't have to plant it, sweetheart. It was already true.

Ava: Well, you made sure it got out there, didn't you?

J.R.: Well, let's just say I did --

Ava: I know you did.

J.R.: Ok, for argument's sake -- I did. So Jon talks Ryan into giving us the money. I think a few million dollars should be sufficient.

Ava: Millions?

J.R.: Once our project's off the ground, that'll be chump change. And who becomes the biggest thing out there? Who benefits the most?

Ava: Do you really believe that?

J.R.: Are you kidding? I'll brand you so big, nothing can bring us down.

Ava: Yeah, like Paris and Nicole and the Olsen twins. I am so much prettier than them.

J.R.: No contest.

Ava: And far more talented.

J.R.: All you need is the opportunity to show what you can do.

Ava: Do you really think this can happen?

J.R.: With the right showcase, you can't miss. We'll brand everything from makeup to sleeping bags. Clothing in your own clothing stores. Novelty items. Ava doll. Maybe even magazines. You know what? We'll push the kitty right out of Japan. "Hello Ava."

Ava: Japan?

J.R.: Yeah, and then we'll do a few select commercials in some European markets.

Ava: Like France, too?

J.R.: France, too. Film and television. I know that this sounds wild -- but you can make it happen. We can make it happen.

[Ava and J.R. kiss passionately]

Hannah: Who green-lighted the bid on Maxima before the stock dipped?

Josh: It was a solid acquisition, Hannah.

Hannah: Who caved, you?

Josh: You know, I got a news flash for you. I don't answer to you anymore. I don't care what title Zach gave you, you don't outrank me.

Hannah: Ok, I -- I -- I confess. I suggested moving on Maxima at an even higher price. It would have cost us even more.

Josh: Yeah, I know. Zach told me.

Hannah: Oh. Well, that was me just being a petulant child. Oh. I haven't noticed one error or typo since I have left. You really have stepped up.

Josh: Yeah, I have.

Hannah: You have been right about a lot of things, including why I came back. It is personal, Josh. Very personal.

Kendall: We just re-created ourselves with Fusion Green. Now, if we try to replace Ava now, then our -- our expenses will --

Greenlee: It could sink us.

Kendall: Yes. But we do need to keep Ava in line.

[Amanda chuckles]

Amanda: Been there, suffered that. Ended up all over the blogosphere lip-locked with the girl.

Greenlee: Ok, well, maybe you weren't the right person for the job.

Kendall: Babe, you have a small child.

Babe: Who obeys. Little A is well trained.

Amanda: Ava, on the other hand --

Kendall: We can't let her run wild.

Amanda: Babe, do not say yes unless they give you a whip and a Taser.

Babe: I wouldn't need it until Ava recovers from her appendectomy, anyway.

Greenlee: Her what?

Kendall: Wait, when did she --

Babe: But she just got out of the hospital. I mean, the good news is, is she thought that she was pregnant, so --

Greenlee: Oh, my God.

Kendall: Oh, Lord.

Greenlee: That could have been a disaster.

Kendall: Well, is she ok?

Babe: She's fine, yeah. I guess she's back at Wildwind, probably driving poor Jonathan crazy.

Kendall: Ok, Babe, please, I really need you to do this for us.

Babe: Me? Why? Why me? I -- look, I'm sorry, but I thought I was doing a pretty good job here, and now you want me to be Ava's babysitter?

Amanda: Nobody said anything when I had the job.

Greenlee: Babe, it's not a demotion, it's --

Kendall: It's necessary. Ava listens to you. Make her listen now.

J.R.: Oh -- um -- ahem. We were, um -- we were talking about --

Ava: Possibilities.

J.R.: Right. They're endless. If we can get up the -- the right startup capital, it'll be a win-win across the board.

Ava: Ahem.

J.R.: You'll be star, I'll be back on top. Jonathan and Ryan will get an unbelievable return on their investment. And -- so -- are you with me?

Ava: You want me to cheat, and I'm not going to do it.

Jonathan: They have a lock on some new talent, and the owners aren't taking any equity for the first three. It's all sweat equity.

Ryan: Call legal. Let's go to contract.

Jonathan: All right.

Ryan: All right.

Jonathan: Annie, thank you for everything.

Annie: Call me anytime you need a cheerleader, ok?

[While Ryan sees Jonathan to the door, Annie adds her yearbook to the fireplace flames]

Ryan: Hey, Jonathan, you and Ava -- no, no, no, no lectures. I just want you to be ready for anything.

Jonathan: Trust me.

Hannah: I was about to break one of my personal commandments -- never give away too much.

Josh: What happened to getting to know me? And me knowing you?

Hannah: I'm not used to kindness, Josh, not from you or anyone else. I don't know how to respond.

Josh: What are you getting at?

Hannah: You, damn it. I really did miss you. That's why --

Josh: Hey --

Hannah: No, it's why I came back.

Josh: Yeah, you missed me -- no -- you don't call, no e-mail, but you know what? I missed you, too.

Hannah: I think you did.

J.R.: Just because we got a little worked up and kissed -- I'm not trying to get you to bed.

Ava: Look, I know, ok? That kiss was just for fun. Like -- like Amanda.

J.R.: Kissing me was like kissing Amanda?

Ava: Well, she did fight a little more.

J.R.: Look, nobody's doing any cheating, you got it?

Ava: Look, I didn't even mean sexually. I meant on Fusion. Ok, I'm exclusive to them. I have a contract.

J.R.: Oh. Right.

Ava: Well, I thought that Fusion was part of the whole web network thing.

J.R.: Well, it is -- more or less.

Ava: "More or less"?

J.R.: If you want to take full advantage of this opportunity, Fusion is just a stop along the way. We use them, they use us, then we move on.

Ava: To bigger and better things?

J.R.: Exactly.

Ava: Well, won't that piss off your ex-wife, who kind of works there?

J.R.: Babe? Oh. Once I talk to Babe, she'll give me everything I want. It'll be easy.

Babe: You think so?

Greenlee: Thanks for backing me up.

Kendall: Well, we -- we both want the same thing. I'm going to go check my e-mail.

Greenlee: But just a sec. Um --

Kendall: You went shopping.

Greenlee: I did. It's just nothings for Ian and Spike. If you think that I'm overstepping, I can --

Kendall: No, no, no, it's nice.

Greenlee: Ok.

Kendall: Thanks.

Greenlee: Um -- well, this is silly, but it's -- it's supremo nacho macho for Spike. The strongest, toughest boy on the whole planet. And I know that Ian can't have this for a little while -- um -- well, it just made me think of you holding him and protecting him, so -- Kendall, I --

Kendall: Um -- can I just have a moment?

Greenlee: Yeah, of course.

[After Greenlee leaves, Kendall takes her gifts and throws them into the trash can]

Man: Oh, yeah, it's great. I'm just starting to have fun.

Ryan: So how's your appetite now?

Annie: It's back.

Ryan: Hmm.

Annie: How about I make us some lunch if you promise no more work?

Ryan: Hmm. Ok, I promise. I promise, I promise. So get back in here a second.

Annie: Oh --

[Annie laughs]

Annie: Hmm.

[Knock on door]

[Annie sighs]

Annie: Whew. Remember, just say no to work.

Ryan: You got something?

Aidan: I spoke to the shipping company that delivered the locket watch to Annie.

Ryan: Yeah, and? Who sent it?

Aidan: Annie. Annie sent it to herself.

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Zach (to Josh): I'm going to admit something to you, and if you ever repeat it, I'm going to have your legs broken.

Krystal (to Adam): You didn't think I knew it was you?

Babe (to J.R.): I'm going to Kendall and Greenlee, and I'm blowing this little plan of yours wide open.

Annie (to Ryan): You never even met Richie, and you're buying into his lie.
