Jack: Sean says you know something about the drugs that got him arrested.

Ava: Me? How? I was nowhere near that stupid prom.

Sean: Look, my Jacket was right there on that chair. I walked out of the room, and you put the pills in my pocket.

Ava: Right, so now I'm the only one with hands.

Sean: You were the only one that was alone with my Jacket.

Jack: Ava? Do you have anything to say about this?

Ava: Yeah, I do -- Sean's a liar.

Lily: No touch, no touch, no touch!

Man: I said pay up!

Lily: No touch! You're invading my personal space!

Man: Well, you didn't seem to mind before.

Lily: No touch -- I told you I've never met you, and I don't know who you are!

Man: Oh, no, I'd never forget a face like that.

Lily: No touch, no touch!

Man: Look, you still owe me a C-note for that X.

Lily: No touch, no touch!

Man: But I know another way we can --

Jonathan: Get off of her!

Lily: No touch!

Man: Sorry, man. I saw her first.

Jonathan: That's my wife!

Adam: Will you loan me the 100 million or not?

Zach: It's way past business hours. You really must be feeling the heat if you're calling me this late.

Adam: I need an answer! Are you in?

Zach: I got the money, but it's hard for me to commit if I don't know what it's for.

Adam: It's none of your concern what it's for. Zach. I need it for ransom. They've kidnapped my son.

Amanda: You staged your own kidnapping to shake down your father?

J.R.: Just take it easy, ok?

Amanda: I am locked in this hole, because you roped me into some sick scam? Oh!

J.R.: I can explain.

Amanda: You have used and abused me ever since I came back to Pine Valley. But this is lower than I ever thought you could go!

Zach: Why would anyone want to take Junior?

Adam: I have no idea, except their motive is perfectly clear -- they want their money by noon tomorrow.

Zach: So I'm here, because the clock is ticking?

Adam: Once J.R. is safe, I'll have the rest of my days to punish whoever did this.

Zach: But you know you don't have the rest of your days to pay me back in case the ransom gets lost. You could lose everything. Is your son worth it?

Krystal: Hey, Picasso!

[Stuart chuckles]

Krystal: The mural's looking great out there, hon.

Stuart: Yeah. I hope I get it done in time for your grand opening.

Krystal: Yeah, well, as soon as we get that liquor license, we're going to be good to go, but I do not want you out there working overtime in the dark.

Stuart: Oh, no, I -- I quit painting a while ago and went home.

Krystal: Yeah?

Stuart: Then I came back to see you.

Krystal: Is everything all right?

Stuart: Um -- well, I saw Adam. And -- and I wanted to tell him about the -- the mural in Jenny's room and -- and the mural here, and then when I tried to talk to him, he got so angry --

Krystal: Huh.

Stuart: And rude.

Krystal: Yeah. In other words, he was normal.

Stuart: No, no -- he's never that way with me, not with me, not unless he's really, really worried about somebody he cares about.

Krystal: Oh. Well, quit eyeballing me. I don't have anything to do with that.

Stuart: He misses you, Krystal.

[Krystal sighs]

Krystal: He does not miss me, although he should. Anyway, I tend to quit palling around with people after they tried to sell my baby to strangers!

Stuart: What he did to you and Jenny was terrible.

Krystal: Stuart, my little girl could've died.

Stuart: Yeah. He's too stubborn to admit he's sorry, even if he is.

Krystal: He crossed the line. And let me tell you something -- it's going to be a cold day in hell before I make any kind of peace offering.

Stuart: You're just as stubborn as he is. That's why you were so good for him. You stood up to him, and you didn't let him get away with anything. I knew he'd met his match in you.

Krystal: Adam and I are not a match anymore.

Stuart: He keeps the light on all night in his room. He's so anxious and stressed out and -- I'm worried about his heart. Krystal, would you go see him?

Krystal: And do what?

Stuart: I don't know. Ask him what kind of scotch you should use in your bar or maybe a couple of recipes from Lucretia that you could put in your menu -- it doesn't matter. What's important is that you go see him.

Krystal: Stuart, the last time I saw Adam, he came in here, he insulted the bar and everyone in it --

Stuart: I know.

Krystal: Tad, Jamie, J.R.

Stuart: I know, I know. He was probably trying to hide how much he was hurting. But just the two of you, he wouldn't do that.

Krystal: Oh, yeah, right.

Stuart: No, no. He could -- he would talk to you and tell you things that he would never tell anyone else. I don't know what's worrying him, what his problem is or but he needs you. If you won't do it for Adam, will you do it for me?

Krystal: Stuart. You know I can't say no to you, but I -- listen, this is asking --

Stuart: I just -- he makes me so mad sometimes when he's -- he gets mean. And then I just have to remind myself that how -- how much trouble he has showing how much he cares. And he does care. I don't know what I'd do without him. How can we help him?

Adam: You're asking me to put a dollar value on my son's life?

Zach: I'm telling you the terms of our arrangement.

Adam: Go on.

Zach: I want your shares in Chandler, all of them, including the ones that Krystal gave back to you.

[Adam chuckles]

Adam: Oh, you're joking. Fine.

Zach: I want your cars. I want the yacht you bought from Erica, and I want this house -- all of it as collateral.

Adam: Oh. My son's life is on the line, and all you can see is a chance to squeeze me? You know what it's like to lose a son.

Zach: Yes, I do. And I cared about mine. Junior almost killed my wife and her unborn son.

Adam: Mm-hmm.

Zach: What happens to him is of no interest to me.

Adam: J.R. has a lot of problems. Most of them are my fault. His drinking, his -- his rage -- I caused that. I've made a lot of mistakes, but, please, don't take them out on my son. He has a little boy who needs him. So tell me what you want.

Zach: Well -- ahem. There is a way we could both come out on top.

Adam: I'm listening.

Zach: Every idiot knows your son isn't worth $100 million. Let the kidnappers keep him. They hold on to J.R., I hold on to my money. We'll take Chandler Enterprises the easy way.

Man: Don't try to be a hero, man.

Lily: But Jonathan is a hero. He saved my life when he killed the bad man.

Jonathan: I know you. And I know where to find you. Maybe you ought to take off.

Jonathan: Lily? I -- I only said that about you being my wife because I -- I wanted to let him know that he couldn't mess with you, all right? That -- that I wouldn't let him mess with you.

Lily: That's ok. Everyone knows that husbands protect their wives -- it was a really smart strategy. You fooled him.

Jonathan: Right. I did.

Lily: Why do you have the box of keepsakes from our wedding?

Jonathan: When you -- when you gave me these, I thought I could keep them. I wanted to keep them. But, um -- there's nothing I don't love in this box. But it's from another time, and this isn't -- this isn't a life that I have anymore.

Lily: That's exactly how I feel.

Jonathan: So it didn't seem right to just take it and throw it away. So I thought that I would come here and -- and sail it off to wherever memories go.

Lily: Can I help?

Jonathan: I'd like that.

Lily: This reminds me of being married. We felt the same and like we were a team, but it's different now, because we're not married anymore.

Ava: Sean, you've got a bug up your butt ever since I dumped you!

Sean: Oh, you're so full of it!

Jack: Now, just let her finish.

Ava: Look, tried to take Colby as second prize, but Goldilocks dumped him after her daddy found out that he was shacking up in her bedroom. Isn't that right, Sean? Hey, if you don't believe me, ask Mr. Chandler.

Sean: Yes. I was staying with Colby, but it's not how she's making it sound.

Ava: Wow -- dude can't take rejection.

Sean: I broke up with her, which is why she put the pills in my pocket.

Jack: If Sean is telling the truth, you had to buy those pills somewhere.

Ava: Yeah, and all my best friends are drug dealers, so I would know exactly where to get them.

Jack: That's not my point, Ava. My point is Pine Valley's a lot smaller place than Philadelphia. The cops here, they know the dealers -- they know when they deal, what they deal, where they deal. All I have to do is fax your photo to Chief Frye, and I guarantee you by sunup I'll know exactly who sold you those drugs. So my suggestion to you -- make it easy on yourself, just come clean now.

Ava: Is this my father figure speaking or Sean's attorney?

Sean: Either way, you need to fess up.

Ava: Look, I'm sorry that your boy got busted, but I'm not taking the rap for him!

Jack: Ok, so you're sticking to your story -- you know nothing about these drugs?

Ava: Yeah, why is that so hard to believe?

Jack: Hmm.

Ava: I've done bad things in the past and now I'm automatically the bad guy?

Jack: No, hey, Ava, we're just trying to get to the bottom of this, ok?

Ava: Look, here I am trying to get my life together, trying to make my sister proud, and Sean is over here using my past to make me look bad.

Sean: Oh! That is -- that is bull, and you know it.

Ava: Hey, I never made up a story about going to live with my mom, I never hiJacked a limousine, and I never sold fake IDs, so who's the liar now?

Sean: You would let me do time so you would -- you can stay here and keep leeching off my family?

Ava: Come on, Sean, get real! Your Aunt Erica's famous and your Uncle Jack's a bigtime attorney. No one's locking you up in jail!

Jack: No, Ava, you get real. It doesn't matter who his uncle or aunt are, because I'll tell you what -- the charges against him are very serious. He's not going to just walk away from them.

Ava: Well, his odds are a hell of a lot better than mine. If I get busted for this, I'm going down!

Sean: Yeah, you deserve it.

Ava: Innocent until proven guilty. I mean, that's -- that's what I -- that's what I thought was true. If I'm guilty, where's the proof?

Amanda: Let me out.

J.R.: Look, people hate my father.

Amanda: And I hate you!

J.R.: I promised you this would be a win-win situation for us --

Amanda: Oh.

J.R.: And this is it.

Amanda: Trapped with a lying snake -- what a score!

J.R.: My father is coming at me with both barrels right now. The only way that I can beat him is to outsmart him, by using myself to take him for every penny that he has. It's genius.

Amanda: If you and Adam want to play war games, fine! Do us all a favor and destroy each other, but leave me out of it!

J.R.: It takes a lot to pull one over on my dad. I needed you to make this convincing.

Amanda: Oh. You needed another victim, so you came to the old standby. The gym, the Fusion rooftop, your bed -- none of it was spontaneous! Your whole come-on was planned from the beginning!

J.R.: Well, you know, I'd -- I'd like to take credit and say that I was thinking that far in advance -- I mean, the -- but the boxing and our night, that wasn't planned.

Amanda: I'm so sure.

J.R.: Look, the way that you moved, the way you threw your whole body into everything -- it really did give me an idea that you might be able to help me. And it was fun, right?

Amanda: So that's how your big, beefy friends knew to have me leave a voicemail for Del?

J.R.: I didn't want anybody worried about you when you were perfectly safe. I thought it was pretty considerate.

Amanda: "Considerate"?

J.R.: That was the old Amanda! The old Amanda would've been all wimpy and whiny, but --

Amanda: Oh, God.

J.R.: This Amanda, she's tough! She doesn't need her friends rescuing her! She doesn't need some phony romance from me.

Amanda: Oh, ok, that's for damn sure.

J.R.: There was an upside to thinking we could die at any moment.

Amanda: You still might!

J.R.: How many times do you get to have sex knowing that it could be your last? Look, I know I'm a jerk, ok? But we do go great together. I couldn't have done this without you, Amanda.

Adam: Well, regardless of my opinions as to J.R.'s business acumen or his feelings toward me, I'm not willing to sacrifice my son in order to improve my bottom line. That's reprehensible.

Zach: To you. To me, it's just business.

Adam: Yeah. I have made you a very generous offer -- to help get my company back, give you 49% of it. I don't remember discussing killing my son!

Zach: When opportunity knocks --

Adam: Hmm. If you want a piece of this, we're going to make sure that J.R. is alive and well. Then, we'll cheat him out of Chandler Enterprises fair and square. Do we have a deal?

Stuart: Adam?

Krystal: Are you all right?

Adam: What do you want?

Krystal: That's a damn good question, Adam, because I never thought I would step foot in this house again.

Stuart: Why are you here?

Jack: Ava has a point. Do you have any proof that she planted those drugs?

Sean: I will if cops find prints on the bag they were in.

Jack: And if they don't?

Sean: It couldn't have been anyone else, Uncle Jack. I know.

Ava: Right, and I "know" -- I know I'm hosting the Academy Awards next year. I'm just waiting on them to call me. Oh, what, you don't believe that? Well, I guess you shouldn't because you don't have any proof, either.

Jack: Yeah, well, the thing is Sean has never given me any reason to doubt, you know?

Ava: Ok, well, if you think he's so positively innocent, you can't just pin this on me.

Jack: Yeah, you know what? The police can't base a case solely on suspicion.

Sean: Then I'll get them more.

Jack: In the meantime, you two, I don't want either one of you breathing a word of this to Lily -- do you understand me? For better or worse, she cares about Ava, and I don't want that ruined for no reason. Yes? Yes?

[Door opens]

Lily: There was a bad man who was mean and said that I had to pay him for drugs.

Ava: Did he mess with you? I'll kill him!

Amanda: I am your go-to gal, your number one sucker when you need a stooge.

J.R.: No, I don't mean it that way.

Amanda: You have used me for the last time.

J.R.: No, don't be like that.

Amanda: I am so done! But what about the poor people who have to care about you? What about your son, huh? What's Babe going to tell Little Adam when he's up at night worried about his missing Daddy?

J.R.: I told Babe that I was going on a business trip, and I told the kidnappers to tell my father that if he says anything to anyone, that they'll kill me, so it's covered. The only glitch is you turned out to be a lot smarter than I thought you were.

Amanda: Well, if I was really smart, I'd tell Adam that you fixed this whole thing up. He'd make it so that you could never bother me or anyone else again.

J.R.: You're upset with me, because you thought those guys that stuck us down here were real. I'm sorry that it scared you.

Amanda: When that guy dragged me outside, I thought he was going to put a bullet through my skull!

J.R.: Look, I know, I know, I know. Just keep your eye on the prize, Amanda. Suck it up the short-term for the long-term gain.

Amanda: What gain? There is nothing in this for me!

J.R.: How about the ultimate payback? My father used your mother to blackmail you. She thought that she was going to get a whole new life if she'd steal a baby for him, but my father -- he was ready to toss her to the cops, let her rot in jail for the rest of her life. Now -- now forget about any deal he's ever made before -- that was bush league. Amanda, please, I'm asking you. Help me take everything my father's worth.

Amanda: It's extortion. You will get caught.

J.R.: Did my father get caught for using Janet? No. Chandlers don't get caught.

Amanda: I'm not a Chandler, ok? If I don't turn you in, I could go to prison as an accomplice!

J.R.: Ok, I see. So, you're going to narc on me?

Amanda: No. But if I cover your sorry ass, I want a piece of the action.

Zach: Your brother invited me. Just a couple of business guys kicking around ideas -- that's all.

Stuart: Then why did you run out here to hide?

Zach: I'm not hiding. I'm just giving him some privacy -- nothing to get upset about.

Stuart: I don't believe you.

Krystal: Adam, you didn't have to shadow me. I was just looking for Little A's fire truck.

Adam: Yeah, well, it's -- it's not here, so --

Krystal: Yeah. Yeah, I -- I searched high and low. I guess I'm just going to have to get him another one.

Adam: Ok, all right, all right.

Krystal: Adam?

Adam: Hmm?

Krystal: Look, I -- well, I'm sorry I came by at this hour. Stuart said that you would still be up.

Adam: Yes, it's -- really quite late. Uh -- anything else you need?

Krystal: Something's up.

Adam: Huh.

Krystal: Something is up! I can tell that you're upset.

Adam: Oh, are you a detective these days? Is that from all those private investigations with Tad Martin?

Krystal: All right.

[Krystal chuckles]

Krystal: Obviously, you want to pick a fight. You want to avoid spilling whatever's bugging you.

Adam: Oh -- not only a sleuth, but a shrink, as well. Hmm.

Krystal: We may not be together anymore, Adam, but I know you inside and out. Your mouth is saying "A-ok" and your eyes say you're worried!

Adam: Well, maybe I should use pantomime. How about -- hmm? Yeah!

Krystal: Whatever has happened, whatever is -- is going on, I want to hear it. Talk to me, Adam. Can you do that? Can you just talk to me?

Stuart: You didn't want anyone to see you because you and Adam were doing something that -- that -- that you didn't want anyone to see.

Zach: Like what?

Stuart: Well, I -- I don't know. With Adam, it could be anything.

Zach: Well, I think your imagination's running away with you a little bit. Like I said, I wanted to give him some privacy. That's all. I didn't really care who would see that or not see that. Just trust me.

Stuart: No, I don't trust you. I don't think -- I don't -- I don't know why you're here, but I don't think you should be here because Adam just had a heart attack. And I'm going to go tell him that I think he should make you go away. Adam, I want you to come out here and --

Adam: No, Stuart -- never mind. It's all right, it's all right. Why are you still here?

Krystal: What --

Adam: And why do you think I would confide in you after what you've done to me?

Krystal: Wait a minute. What just happened?

Adam: Now, I don't know what you're after, but you're not going to get it.

Stuart: Don't talk to Krystal that way.

Adam: Get a life, woman! Why do you keep pretending that you care about me? I sure as hell don't care about you.

Krystal: I don't care about you, Adam. I just thought maybe you wanted to get something off your chest.

Adam: Well, you were wrong. Dead wrong. Get out of my house.

Amanda: I'm serious, J.R. I'm taking a cut. A big one.

J.R.: Damn right. But first off, you're going to be doing your mother a solid. Think about how stoked Janet will be when she realizes you went to bat for her, you evened the score. And second of all, my father will realize he can't mess with Dillon women anymore.

Amanda: I don't just want revenge. I want cash. I am coming out of this independently wealthy. As in rich, and so not your girlfriend.

J.R.: Oh. Is that so?

Amanda: For starters, I want a car.

J.R.: Well, you can use the company vehicle whenever, and if it's ever available.

Amanda: A sports car -- custom everything.

J.R.: Fine.

[Amanda seals the deal with a little kiss]

Amanda: I want money. A million bucks.

J.R.: No way.

Amanda: You can pay upfront or in monthly installments.

J.R.: 100 grand.

Amanda: 500,000.

J.R.: 300,000.

Amanda: Done.

[J.R. seals the deal with a bigger kiss]

Amanda: And I'm going to need some stock.

J.R.: Well, now you're reaching.

Amanda: I want some Chandler shares.

J.R.: No way. Dream on.

Amanda: Oh, it's no dream.

J.R.: Forget it.

Amanda: Fine. More money then, up front.

J.R.: Another 100 grand.

Amanda: Make it 200,000.

J.R.: Do you know how hot you are when you get greedy?

Amanda: I think we have a deal.

[J.R. and Amanda kiss again]

Jack: Are you sure you're all right?

Ava: Did he hurt you?

Lily: I'm fine.

Sean: Are you sure?

Lily: Yes, but I was scared that this new bad man was going to touch me. But he didn't. Jonathan came and saved me.

Jack: What did this man say to you?

Lily: That I owed him money and that I'd better pay. But I told him that I didn't know him. But Jonathan did. And he said that he'd better leave, and he did.

Jack: Listen, honey, I'd like you to go upstairs, get ready for bed. I'll be up in just a little bit, ok? All right. So you know this guy?

Jonathan: I saw him once, at B.J.'s.

Jack: Can you explain to me why a drug dealer would know my daughter? Why he would accost her?

Ava: Jonathan saw him with me at B.J.'s.

Sean: Oh, now she speaks.

Jack: Quiet, Sean.

Ava: He must have seen Lily and thought it was me.

Jack: Jonathan, thank you very much for making sure my girl got home safe. I appreciate it. Um -- thanks. It's getting a little bit late, so if you don't mind --

Jonathan: Right.

Jack: Yeah.

Jonathan: Tell Lily that I said good night.

Jack: I will.

[Jonathan leaves]

Jack: So those were your pills? You put them in Sean's tuxedo Jacket. Called the cops, hoping he would go to jail?

Ava: Look, just because some disgusting drug dealer hit on me one time at a restaurant doesn't mean that I bought anything off of him or tried to set anybody up.

Sean: Look, Lily could have been seriously hurt, and you're still lying!

Ava: Well, I'm glad she's ok. But it's not my fault that we look alike.

Jack: You know, I let Sean leave this house so you and Lily could stay here together. But you take advantage of everyone. You respect no one. I've had it. It's over. Done -- you got me?

Ava: I got it. Fine, you don't have to say anything more. I'm already gone.

Jack: Oh, absolutely. By all means, slink right out into the dark, a leave us to explain what kind of person Lily's "twin soul" is. You know, when -- when you first showed up, everybody thought this is going to be terrible, she's going to be real trouble, but not Lily. Oh, no. Lily loved you before she even met you. She believed in you, Ava. She defended you. And you know what happened to her the last time she put her heart out there like that? It was crushed. And now I have the unenviable task of telling her "Hey, sorry, honey, but the same thing's about to happen again."

Ava: Don't even worry about it. I'm going to tell Lily I'm leaving. Just give me a couple minutes, please.

Jack: Huh.

Ava: So that I can make up a story. And it's going to be a good one.

Lily: Do you want to talk in the kitchen? I can make you a turkey sandwich with relish.

Ava: I'd really like that, but, Lily, I have to go.

Lily: Where? It's 10:46 P.M.

Ava: I got a new job. The pay's good enough, and I still have enough free time to take acting classes.

Lily: That's great news! It sounds like a very good plan!

Ava: Yeah, it is. There's just one catch. I have to move.

Lily: Why?

Ava: To be closer to work. I mean, I don't have a car or anything, so the bus is not going to cut it.

Lily: Do you want to move out?

Ava: It's not so much that I want to as that it's the right thing to do.

Lily: But we just met! And I enjoy spending time with you. And I want to get to get to know you better.

Ava: Lily -- before I met you, I always talked about being a big movie star. But I never thought I could really do it. Not until I met you. You made me believe in myself and that I could do good things with my life. You did that for me.

Lily: But if you stay, I can do a lot more, like teach you Math and how to tip waiters and everything we talked about.

Ava: The best thing that you can do for me right now is just cheer me on in what I'm trying to do. It's -- it's a good thing. And sisters want the best for each other, right?

Lily: If it's a good thing, why are you so teary?

Ava: Because I'll miss you, but we'll talk every day. Promise?

Lily: I promise. But I want to come visit you at your new house. What's your address?

Ava: You know, I forgot. But it's a really cool place.

Lily: Well, I'm very organized. And I can help you move in, which makes unpacking a lot faster.

Ava: Well, I'll have to take all the red out before you get there. And I better get going on that.

[Ava and Lily blow kisses to each other as Ava leaves]

Lily: Bye, Ava.

Adam: Have you reached a decision?

Zach: The money is at your disposal.

Adam: How soon can I get it?

Zach: 11:00 A.M. tomorrow morning. I will give you information as to how to access a Swiss bank account, and then you can send the money to the kidnapper.

Adam: Where, actually, is this money coming from? Cambias? A casino? Or some less visible source?

Zach: Don't worry about where it's coming from. Worry about getting it back to me.

Adam: I've given you my word.

Zach: Good. Because I really don't need this house.

Adam: I'll have the money one day -- two, max. I have connections. We're going to track the money down every step of the way, get it back to me. All of it.

Zach: Do you want my people to track it?

Adam: No. I don't. I -- this is my family and my fortune. I'll handle it.

Zach: Ok. Just in case you don't handle it, here's what's going to happen.

Zach: You could be signing your life away.

Adam: Yeah. Well, a small price to pay, isn't it? To get my son back.

[J.R. and Amanda put their clothes back on]

J.R.: We should negotiate more often.

Amanda: Sorry if that smack hurt.

J.R.: I'm just glad I didn't get hit by one of your wicked uppercuts.

Amanda: Explain something. If the kidnappers work for you, why'd you take a beating?

J.R.: Because I ordered it.

Amanda: You told them to bash your face in?

J.R.: I had to.

Amanda: To convince Adam.

J.R.: Yeah, so the next time you get the urge to say how rough this was, just remember, it was a lot more rough for me than it was for you.

[Amanda chuckles]

Amanda: You are a trip, J.R. I like that. And I can stand you.

J.R.: Ooh.

Amanda: Hmm. I guess I am a bad girl, after all.

Stuart: Thank you for trying to -- to get through to him.

Krystal: How can one brother be so thoughtful and the other one be such a caveman?

Stuart: I really thought he'd talk to you. Something else has to be wrong.

Krystal: He is the most stubborn, juvenile, good-for-nothing that I have ever had the misfortune of knowing. You offer him an olive branch, and he whips you with it.

Stuart: Yeah. I was mistaken. I was --

Krystal: No, no --

Stuart: It was my fault.

Krystal: Stuart, you were right. There is something wrong with Adam, but I can't fix it. He won't let me in anymore.

Stuart: What can I do?

Krystal: You can stay close to your brother. Because I have a really bad feeling that he's going to need someone.

Adam: Mr. Perez is the head of international banking. He's on the clock 24/7. Well, wake him up. Tell him it's Adam Chandler. Yes, sir. Listen carefully. This is important. Tomorrow at noon, $100 million is being wired through your system, probably to an offshore account somewhere. That money has been extorted from me -- probably for terrorist purposes. Now, I want the entire global banking network appraised of this, put on alert, with -- with strict instructions to follow that money. It cannot disappear. Do you understand? That's right. Break any laws you have to. Just don't lose track of that cash. Done.

Lily: Your mouth is turned down.

Sean: I'm beat.

Lily: It's ok to say you miss Ava. She just left and I already miss her. But we have to stay strong, because she's exactly where she wants to be. Ava has an exciting new job, a great new home, and so much to look forward to. She's making her dreams come true.

Adam: Damn it! These videos are old. I want to see my son.

[Phone rings]

Adam: Yeah, what?

Man: You got the money?

Adam: I'll have it in the morning. But not until I know my son is all right. I want specifics on when and where he'll be released.

Man: Change of plans. Tomorrow, 10:00 A.M. sharp, be at 1520 Route 29 -- just you. And we'll give you the information you'll need to transfer the money. Be there or you'll never see your kid again.

[Phone disconnects]

Adam: No, wait a minute.

Amanda: Tell me this is real. I won't walk out of that door and find out I've been duped again.

J.R.: No, we're not only walking out of here, we're walking into Pine Valley as their new royalty.

Amanda: Am I a princess?

J.R.: A queen, an empress -- anything you want.

Amanda: Ooh, Empress Amanda -- now, that could work. I don't need an emperor.

J.R.: So, what would Her Highness like to eat? I'm starved.

[J.R. pulls out a cell phone]

Amanda: Hmm. Oh, my God. You knew that was there the whole time? Oh, my God.

J.R.: Don't worry, my guy will hook us up. You want something from the Valley Inn?

Amanda: Oh --

[Phone rings]

Recorded voice: The number you have reached is no longer in service. Please check the number and dial again.

J.R.: We may have a problem.

Seamus: We won't need this anymore. Service is off. J.R. can't reach me. It's so refreshing to work with a professional like you, Mr. Slater.

Zach: You're doing great. Everything's going according to plan.

Seamus: I do have one concern -- the money.

Zach: My money's taking a little trip and coming right back to me. The Chandlers, however, are about to lose everything.

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Babe (to Jamie): We're suddenly single and out on the street.

Amanda (to J.R.): Those jerks you hired to fake-kidnap you, they decided to do it for real.

Adam: Be forewarned that whatever you do or say in the next few minutes, I intend to return the compliment -- right between your eyes.
