Tad: Are you sure you told him the right time?
Aidan: Ja.
Tad: In English?
Aidan: Yes.
Tad: Don't play with me. You got to remember, she's an American, not a German. She's also the only lead we've got so far.
Aidan: Yeah, a lead that could lead nowhere.
Tad: You don't have to tell me that, Aidan. I know what the odds are that Dixie’s alive. I don't care. If there's a ghost of a chance that she is, I'm going to play them anyway.
Aidan: I flew over here with you, didn't I? Why don't you just ease back? It was hard enough tracking her down, let alone getting her to meet with us.
Tad: All right, all right. Sorry, I apologize. I'll be fine. When you think about it, if this is the real Diana Cole, the woman that worked in Philadelphia as a nanny for 15 years, then who the hell's using her résumé back in Pine Valley?
Aidan: You hope that J.R.’s nanny is the Jane Doe brought here for more surgery and a fixed face.
Tad: I got this huge voice in my head shouting me down saying there's no possible way. But then there's this other voice, keeps whispering the same question over and over again. At if it's her? What if that's Dixie?
Singer: Went down tomorrow
Di: Excuse me.
Singer: It's not going to be
J.R.: Does it get you hot, Babe, Jamie at that dump you call home, playing Mr. Good Socket?
Singer: I said somewhere down
Babe: Why don't you sit on that, J.R. We got plenty more.
J.R.: Oh, no, nothing that'll endanger Little Adam. Like a visit to that over-the-garage deathtrap.
Singer: And if you don't find
Babe: You think that my son's at risk with his own mama?
Singer: I'm not saying I don't like what's going on
Babe: So who's watching my boy while you're out cruising bars?
Amanda: I don't have much stuff and I don't take up too much space, either.
Jamie: Well, then Myrtle's boarding house could work. I mean, the rent's decent, and she'll even wait on that until you scrape together some money.
Amanda: Almost there. But I don't think that I could share a space with someone who knew my mom at her craziest. Does that make me weird?
Jamie: No. I completely understand. Babe and her mom -- they work around some hairy PR.
Amanda: Well, nice try anyway. At least your heart's in the right place. So not J.R.
Jamie: How'd you leave it with him?
Amanda: You'll hate me. J.R. drew the line, and I jumped to the dark side. I flipped you and Babe off for a feather bed and Lucretia’s chocolate pie.
Jack: Well, what do you know? Our first meal as a married couple, and we didn't run out of things to say.
[Erica laughs]
Erica: Of course not. That'll never happen to us. Oh, Jack, we have so much. I mean, to see Bianca and Miranda together, and so beautiful.
Jack: Yeah.
Erica: And to see Reggie so happy, but cool.
Jack: Very cool.
Erica: And to see you and Lily dance.
Jack: Just a reminder -- we don't have to talk all the time.
Erica: Did you hear that?
Jack: No.
Erica: Well, I thought that I heard a -- a bump.
Jack: It was the beating of my heart. It's beating wildly.
[Erica laughs]
Jack: To my delectable and delicious wife. And to the complete and absolute bliss that we will enjoy from this day forward.
Erica: And to our children, and their complete and absolute bliss and happiness. Because when they're happy --
Both: We're happy.
Maria: Am I too late?
Ryan: I'm not really the early-to-bed type. Come on in.
Maria: No, that's not what I mean. I mean, am I too late to save our friendship? Or did I destroy that completely, too?
Greenlee: What's going to happen between me and Ryan?
Kendall: Nothing.
Greenlee: You never say nothing.
Kendall: Ok, it was a shot, a dodge, a blast, ok? I'm sick and tired of hearing how flippin' happy the two of you are. And I'm sick of your stupid advice about my marriage. I am married to Zach, and I'm going to stay married to Zach. Deal with it.
Ethan: So let me get this straight. Your -- your deal of a lifetime is Cambias for Kendall. I'm going to dump the company. What, she dumps you, marries me, we live happily ever after?
Zach: The happily-ever-after part -- it's up to you. I don't know if it's ever going to be boring, that's for sure.
Ethan: I guess this is what a big winner looks like. Have you crushed me as low as you want to go? Have you made me jump through enough hoops? And now, you're going to waltz in and be this big hero! You want Kendall? You can keep her.
Zach: It's not too late. You're the man she loves.
Ethan: Do you think I still feel the same about Kendall? I don't. Now that I see what she's capable of, I'm done. I'm going to keep Cambias. You keep your wife.
Zach: You have a chance to get what you want in life. Take it. Take it. Take it.
Greenlee: You know something about Ryan. Tell me what it is, now.
Kendall: Would you just -- Greenlee, chill, ok? Now, the wedding was magical, but I'm exhausted. You must be, too.
Greenlee: I'll help you pack.
Kendall: Help someone else pack.
Greenlee: Oh, I will -- when you tell me what I want to know.
Kendall: Greenlee, there is nothing to know, ok? It's not like Ryan and I are best buddies sharing brewskis and guy secrets.
Greenlee: You were there -- when I got home with Ryan.
Kendall: So what?
Greenlee: You were acting weird. Like I busted you. When I asked what was up, you asked Ryan if he was going to tell me the rest. What is the rest?
Kendall: Well, you know me. I never know when to shut my trap.
Greenlee: It had something to do with his doctor. What is it? Did Ryan lie to me?
Kendall: Let it go. Greenlee, let it go.
Greenlee: Was that it? Did he stop going to therapy?
Kendall: How would I know what Ryan has going on with his doctor?
Greenlee: Spit it out.
Kendall: I don't know --
[Noise]
Kendall: Oh, God. Oh, my God, they're going to kill each other!
Ethan: You fight me!
Kendall: Come on.
Ethan: You want to lay a hand on me? You lay a hand on me! Come on! You want to fight me, fight me! Coward!
Tad: Ms. Cole?
Ms. Cole: Mr. Martin.
Tad: Tad. It's just Tad, please. I'm sorry, I should have worn a flower in my lapel. This is my friend and associate, Mr. Aidan Devane.
Ms. Cole: We spoke on the phone.
Aidan: Yeah, it's a pleasure.
Tad: If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions about certain things. That is, of course, if you are the Diana Cole that worked for the Wellington's in Philadelphia for 15 years.
Ms. Cole: My babies Finn and Spencer. Of course, they're not babies anymore.
Tad: No, I guess not. Um -- do you keep in touch with the family?
Ms. Cole: No, they have their lives, I have mine. A clean break was best.
Tad: Uh-huh. So they don't know that you're in Germany?
Ms. Cole: This isn't about an ex-patient from the hospital? A Jane Doe?
Aidan: Yeah, the car accident victim. Facial reconstruction. You were on staff when Jane came back for a thank-you visit, right?
Ms. Cole: Yeah, that's right. How can I help you?
Tad: Well, for starters, you could describe what she looked like.
Ms. Cole: Well, she was about my height. Blue eyes, red-gold hair, peaches-and-cream complexion. Oh, and just a hint of a southern accent.
Di: Little Adam is with his Uncle Stuart and Aunt Marian. This is my night off.
Singer: She got up and go
Babe: So my son's nanny spends her downtime in a roadside dive? Whatever.
Singer: There's trouble down in Harlem
J.R.: You heard her, bar wench. Fetch and carry.
Singer: She got up and go
J.R.: So, Diana, you looking for me?
Di: Not on nanny's night out, no. What?
J.R.: Well, it just seems funny you chose a bar where my ex-wife works. Coincidence?
Di: Hardly. I want some face time with Babe.
Singer: What's going on?
J.R.: Babe's the enemy. That's not going to happen.
Jack: Well, I have waited 17 long years for this night to be your husband. So consider all the stops pulled completely out. High-wire acts, fireworks, dancing bears -- whatever you need to keep the glow on that beautiful face.
[Noise]
Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa, now, I did hear that. Did you hear that?
Erica: Yes, that's exactly what I heard before.
Jack: Sounds like it's coming from over there. Just -- stay back.
[Lily gasps as Jack finds her hiding in a storage box.]
Lily: Surprise? I got on the boat before it sailed and came down here. By the time I got back to the deck, the boat had sailed away from the dock. And I put on my life jacket, even though I'm a pretty good swimmer, but the shore was too far away, so I didn't jump into the water.
Jack: Oh, no, no -- thank -- thank God you didn't jump in the water.
Erica: Honey, why did you come onboard?
Lily: Well, I wanted to give you a piece of wedding cake.
Jack: Oh.
Erica: Oh --
Jack: For good luck?
Lily: No, it tastes really good.
[Jack chuckles]
Lily: And you were so busy, you didn't have time to eat any.
Erica: Oh, Lily, that's so sweet.
Lily: The cake is sweet. I'm just in the way.
Jack: No, no, no, no, honey, honey, you couldn't possibly be in the way, ok?
Lily: But you're married now. You want to have sex. I'll go wait on the deck. How long do you think it will take? I don't mind, really. My dad says that you give him pterodactyl-size butterflies.
Erica: Oh. Well, a pterodactyl is very big. But that's ok, because I bet you didn't have dinner, and you must be starving.
Lily: It would take several weeks to starve, but I am hungry.
Erica: Well, then, let's get you something to eat.
Lily: Are you sure you're not mad?
Jack: Not mad at all. You just made a perfect night even better.
[After throwing some good punches at Zach, Ethan holds a knife to his throat.]
Kendall: No, stop it. Stop! No, Ethan -- Ethan, no. Stop. No, you can't do it.
Greenlee: I'm getting security.
Kendall: No, no, don't. Don't, don't, please. Ethan -- Ethan, put it down, ok? I'm the one that you're angry at. I'm the one who hurt you.
Ethan: Get out!
Kendall: No, no, not until you put this down and you stop this. You are not a killer, Ethan. You are not a murderer. I know you. This is not you.
Ethan: Oh, come on, don't pretend you know me, Mrs. Slater!
Kendall: All right, listen -- listen. I deserve your hate, ok? But don't let it ruin your life. Please -- please, you're better than this, Ethan. Please!
Ethan: You have no idea who I am.
Kendall: I know who you are. I've been where you are. I have been this person that you are right now, and I know what it does to you. Just please, don't let this bring you under and take you under so deep that you can't get out. Ethan, fight it. Fight it. Find another way, find any other way, but don't let this bring you down, please. Come on.
Greenlee: Thank God.
Zach: Ahem.
Kendall: Leave us alone. Now.
Tad: Our Jane Doe -- you were friends?
Ms. Cole: No, we weren't really friends.
Tad: Ok, did she -- did she mention any names? Perhaps mine, or Chandler, maybe Cortlandt?
Aidan: Or Dr. David Hayward.
Ms. Cole: I'm sorry, she didn't share much.
Tad: Why? You got the feeling she was shy, private?
Ms. Cole: Well, the hospital staff, myself included, got the feeling that she didn't remember much about her past.
Aidan: Well, anything that you remember is good.
Ms. Cole: Well, we met in the hospital cafeteria about six months ago. Shared a table, some small talk. Just two Yanks abroad, both a bit homesick.
Tad: You got that feeling that she missed home?
Ms. Cole: Yes, although she never actually said where home was.
Aidan: Did you share much about yourself with Jane?
Ms. Cole: Well, you know, the usual. Although when I mentioned that I had been a nanny in Philadelphia, it seemed to spark something in her. She wanted to know all about the family I worked for, the kids. She even asked to see pictures -- which I carry with me. You know, childcare is not a glamour job, but she hung on every detail.
Tad: Did she mention having children of her own?
Ms. Cole: I asked her that, and she got really sad and quiet. She said that she'd lost a baby due to health problems.
Tad: What kind of problems?
Ms. Cole: Well, she kept it vague. But I think it had something to do with kidney trouble or some sort of heart issues.
Tad: Well, the pieces fit. So far, our Jane Doe is a perfect match.
Ms. Cole: You think you know who she is?
Tad: Possibly.
Aidan: Ms. Cole, you told my contact that Jane was headed for the States.
Ms. Cole: Six months ago, yes, that was her plan.
Aidan: Well, you know where about in the States she was headed?
Tad: Did she mention a town, Pine Valley?
Ms. Cole: No.
Tad: Did she say why she was going back to the states? Maybe visiting friends or family?
Ms. Cole I'm sorry. Oh -- but she did mention a small hotel in London -- the Gavin -- no, the Garvin. She was stopping there on her way to the US.
Aidan: Maybe she left a forwarding address.
Tad: Yeah, well, she wouldn't be registered as Jane Doe. Did she give you a name?
Ms. Cole: Just a first name. We actually had a laugh about it. She called herself Di. Short for my name, Diana.
Tad: Well, I guess that's it. Thank you very, very much for taking the trouble.
Ms. Cole: Oh, no, no -- no trouble, if I was any help at all.
Tad: You have no idea.
[Ms. Cole makes her exit.]
Tad: Ok, so what do you think?
Aidan: We just interviewed the real Diana Cole. And it looks like our Jane borrowed Diana's name and credits to work her way back into the Chandler home.
Tad: Ok, so do you think that this Diana and the family back in Philadelphia are in on it as some kind of setup?
Aidan: Not as far as I can tell, no.
Tad: For God's sake, Aidan, come on. I mean, if the woman back in Pine Valley is Dixie, why wouldn't she tell me? Why would she sneak back into our lives and keep it a secret?
Aidan: All right, easy, Tad, all right? Nothing concrete ties Di to Dixie yet. For all we know, she could be a total stranger.
Tad: Exactly. This woman's in charge of J.R.’s son. And whoever she is, she lied her way all the way from here into that house. And I want to know what she's up to.
Di: Last time I checked, I'm free to talk to anyone I choose.
J.R.: And I can fire you since you obviously do not value your job.
Di: J.R., you're done with your wife, but your son still needs his mother. I just came around to reassure Babe, ease her of her doubts.
J.R.: Cut Babe some peace? Where was my peace when she told me that my son was dead?
Di: J.R. --
J.R.: You know, maybe I was wrong about you.
Di: I asked you about Dixie to get a better picture of you. You hated your childhood, your parents' constant fighting over you. Is that how you want your boy to remember his growing up? Wait -- if Babe knows I'm reliable, that your son is safe with me, then she will back off you. You can calm down, and Little Adam will have what you lost way too young.
J.R.: Yeah? What's that?
Di: Your innocence. Don't burn your son's up with your anger. It's just wrong.
Singer: Believe a word you say you'll know
J.R.: Damn, you're good. They could use you to broker some peace out in the Middle East.
Di: Well, it's just good, old common sense. The mom's less than perfect -- don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
J.R.: My mother used to say that.
Di: Hmm. Dixie -- sounds like she was one smart lady.
J.R.: Yeah.
Di: I'm sorry she can't be with you in times like these. But, J.R., I promise you and Little Adam the best I can give.
J.R.: I know. Thank you.
Singer: People tell me I
Di: Why don't you head on home? Say nighty-night to your son, so I can take care of business.
J.R.: All right. Thanks.
Singer: But I love the way you do it and I love the things you say
Babe: Ahem -- what's your angle, lady?
Singer: I'm just doing what I got to do
Jamie: Hey, staying out of jail is a good thing.
Amanda: So you're not crossing me off your list?
Jamie: No, not even close. I know all about surviving and having to step up. Just wish I had the money to give you more options.
Amanda: Yeah, me, too. I mean, no. I mean, I heard about you thumbing your nose at a pretty big-digit fortune. Free upgrade to the high life. Maybe money doesn't buy happiness, but for everything else, it comes in pretty handy.
Ryan: The people that care about you understand what happened at that banquet. You were hurt, and you swung at anybody in your path.
Maria: That doesn't really give me an excuse to say the things that I said, does it? I mean, I swung at you, and I swung at Jonathan. And the truth is that I'm just as guilty as your brother.
Ryan: Please don't compare yourself to Jonathan. He was sick. And I couldn't see it. I didn't want to see it. And lives got ruined. So if you need to swing and beat or yell or scream, all you got to do is --
Maria: Oh, God, no, that's not what I came here -- I didn't come here to smack you around.
Ryan: Well, if that's what it takes for you to deal -- if that's what it takes for you to get your family past what happened, I understand that.
Maria: That's kind of the tricky part. I don't know how to get my kids past it.
Ryan: Wrong guy. Maria, I tried to help my family, and we know how that turned out. Edmund was killed. I almost lost Greenlee.
Maria: How's that going? I mean, how is she and how are you? And -- none of this can be easy for you.
Ryan: I did learn one thing. I learned that Greenlee is it for me. She's the only family I want, the only family that I will ever want.
[Phone rings]
Ryan: Hello?
Greenlee: Ryan?
Ryan: Hey, you. How you doing?
Greenlee: Miss you.
Ryan: I miss you, too. How was the wedding?
Greenlee: No one stopped it. Beautiful. I wish you were here.
Ryan: Yeah, I miss you, too.
Greenlee: Anything exciting going on?
Ryan: Without you here? Come on, no way.
Greenlee: Have you seen your doctor? How's it going?
Ryan: Hey, did Bianca show up yet? You got to give her a kiss for me, tell her I say Hi, all right? Taking pictures?
Greenlee: Tons. I'll show them to you when I get home.
Ryan: Ok. I miss you. I love you.
Greenlee: I love you, too.
Kendall: You forgave me when I slept with J.R. Now, that was -- that was big, that was huge. But this thing with Zach -- it's just a few words in front of a judge.
Ethan: A few life-changing words, Mrs. Slater.
Kendall: Ok, but I don't love him, Ethan. It was stupid. You and I -- we love each other, and we can make things right. This -- this -- I mean, with Zach, it was just a piece of paper.
Ethan: Do you know what a marriage certificate is? It's a legally binding document. See, it makes you and Zach husband and wife.
Kendall: Ok, but you know why I did that. It was payback. It was revenge. I wasn't thinking straight. I was angry, and I was hurt. And I wanted to get back at you and hurt you. Now, I've hurt the both of us, and I'm sorry. I don't understand, though. Where were you, Ethan? What took you so long? If you had just shown me that piece of paper before and signed over your share of Cambias a long time ago, this never would have happened. We would still be together right now.
Ethan: Oh, I see. This is my fault, right? Yeah, that's quite a stretch, Kendall.
Kendall: Well, we were both wrong, ok? We were both wrong, but we can make things right again. Yes, we can. We can make things right again. We can be together just like we wanted to be.
Ethan: No. We can't.
Kendall: Why not? Why can't we go back? Why? Because you think I've made a fool of you? Ethan, the only fool in this room is me. Do you want me to say it again? I'll say it. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for all of it. I was wrong. I was dead wrong. But we love each other. We love each other. We still have a chance. Just say the word.
Ethan: You're not a victim. You knew exactly what you were doing. There's nothing left to say, Kendall.
Kendall: Ethan, you can't just throw us away.
Ethan: You did that -- you did that when you married my father. Our great love -- this love that would last us through -- where was that when you promised Zach that you would love, honor, and obey?
Kendall: No, I never meant a word of that.
Ethan: Well, who's a liar now? Our love is dead, Kendall. You killed it.
Kendall: Ethan, please don't say that. Please. I want to be with you.
Ethan: No, no, no, no, no. You wanted revenge, Kendall, and you got it. Now it's my turn. What am I going to do? What kind of playback's going to really hit home, huh? I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to do nothing. You and Zach joined together in wedded hell for the rest of your life.
Kendall: Ethan, don't. Don't, Ethan, please.
Zach: You really are an idiot, aren't you?
Ethan: Maybe. Maybe not. Happy honeymoon.
Zach: I tried. I guess you didn't have any luck, either, huh?
Di: I am not part of your mess. I'm J.R.’s friend. And I'd like to be yours.
Babe: J.R. has no friends. He swims with sharks, and when you showed up, there was still blood in the water.
Di: Ok, can you listen smart for five minutes? Don't look now, Babe, but you're an outcast. You need a friend in that house, and it looks like to me that I'm it. Don't blow it.
Babe: J.R. probably told you that I was some walking blonde joke. And all of a sudden, he backs off and he leaves, and now his nanny is offering to be my best gal pal? Next thing I know, you're going to slip me extra visits, and then the judge is going to pop out of the bushes and nail me for going over my three-hour-a-week limit.
Di: You really believe I'm trying to set you up?
Babe: You tell me. You going to fake being my friend and cost me everything I love?
Di: Whoa, honey. You have got the wrong girl.
Singer: Guess I just came apart
Jamie: My inheritance from Aunt Phoebe was a bribe and a trap.
Amanda: You shoved it all for love. For Babe. Ashton should play you in the movie.
Jamie: So far no one's screaming for my life story.
Amanda: Well, I don't know how you had the brass. I mean, how did you do that?
Jamie: Both arms wrapped around the woman I love.
Erica: How's the food?
Lily: It's really good.
Erica: Good.
Lily: What's an aphrodisiac?
Erica: Where did you hear that word?
Lily: I heard it at the reception. Someone said it about the oysters.
Erica: Oh. Oh, yes. Well, some people feel that certain foods can lead to romantic feelings.
Lily: Romance? Do oysters make butterflies?
Erica: For some people, they do. Chocolate does, too, actually.
Lily: I could do an experiment for school. I like chocolate. Maybe if my boyfriend, Sam, does, we could eat aphrodisiacs and kiss some more. And we could see if it really works.
Erica: Oh, good, your dad's here.
Jack: Oh, you miss me so much, huh?
Erica: Yeah, you have no idea. How did it go?
Jack: Well, I have company.
[Jack whistles]
Reggie: Ahoy, peeps.
Erica: How did you get here?
Reggie: Well, when Lily turned up missing, I remembered last minute that she wanted to give you guys a gift, so -- yeah, I figured she got stuck on this tub. I got some guy to bring me out here. His boat's tied up to you guys.
Erica: Reggie, are you all right?
Reggie: Uh -- excuse me.
[Feeling seasick, Reggie quickly runs off to heave.]
Maria: My kids come first. And with all my drama, I had forgotten that for a while. And now, I've got so much to make up to them. And the first thing -- no Zach. There's no way they're going to ever accept him in our lives.
Ryan: Zach’s not the kind of guy to take no for an answer, not without a fight.
Maria: Yeah, but the fight's been sort of beaten out of us. So we ended it.
Ryan: Zach marries Kendall. You going to dance at the wedding?
Maria: You know what? They get married, that's their mistake. Zach’s and Kendall's. I'm totally out of it.
[Door closes]
Greenlee: How'd it go with Ethan?
Kendall: You can leave now.
Greenlee: While you were busy giving your new stepson a time-out, I called Ryan. I know what's happening between us.
Erica: Reggie, are you feeling any better? I mean, sometimes it takes just a little while for the seasick pills to work.
Reggie: Well, the room's not spinning as fast, so --
Lily: For maximum effectiveness, you should take them before you board.
Reggie: Yeah. Why don't we discuss this on our way back to shore? Erica and J have a honeymoon to get back to. Kids kind of crush the mood.
Jack: Well, thank you, Reggie, appreciate that, but before you two take off, let me just tell you one more time how much it meant for you to share our wedding with us.
Lily: It's almost like we married each other.
Jack: Yeah.
Erica: Oh, Lily, what you said was just so beautiful. And you --
[Jack laughs]
Erica: You keep believing.
Reggie: And if you guys mess up, you answer to me.
Lily: And me.
Jack: I'm counting on it. Come here, give me a hug.
Ryan: I mean, a few weeks ago, I was so wrapped up in the Lavery garbage that I couldn't even see a way out. And then I would look at Greenlee. And then I'd realize that I do not want to destroy this marriage. And yes, I come from a God-awful package. But there are some things that I can still control -- decisions that I can make.
Maria: This is really good. This is really good. You're actually taking control again, and you're taking all that guilt, you're putting it in the past.
Ryan: Yeah, the past is behind me and my eyes are forward, on Greenlee, on our future. And that I will fight the only way that I know how to have that. And that's what you have to do, too. Greenlee and I can make it. We can do this, and so can you. You just can't give up.
Maria: I won't. And you know what? You've given me a lot of hope. Thank you. And I'm really glad to know that you and Greenlee are going to be all right.
Greenlee: Ryan and I are fine.
Kendall: So you really talked to Ryan? No -- no tantrums, no curses, no screaming?
Greenlee: Why would I? The only thing that's going on between Ryan and me is that we miss each other.
Kendall: You're playing me.
Greenlee: You played me. But I forgive you. I understand. I see your pain. I feel it.
Kendall: You're going to feel something else if you don't stop.
Greenlee: You're so hurt, you see pain everywhere you look, even where it doesn't exist, and I want to help you. No one in their right mind would marry their fiancé's father, but you did it, and I'm here to help you pick up the pieces.
Kendall: My pieces are just fine.
Greenlee: It's all right. I get it. You want true love, the kind of love that Ryan and I have. You just went off track a little bit.
Kendall: Ok, that's it, let it go, Greenlee.
Greenlee: You see our love, you see our trust, and you want it. Who wouldn't? I mean, even though we had a close call, we're -- we're closer than ever, we're stronger than ever. And your life is unraveling. It must be hard to watch.
Kendall: Stop. Shut up, Greenlee.
Greenlee: I thought that I lost Ryan forever, but he found his way back to me. Maybe it's because of this doctor that he's going to see. You went to therapy. Maybe you should start seeing a shrink again, this time without the drugs.
Kendall: All right, you know what? One more word, and you will be sorrier than you've been in your entire life.
Di: Listen, Babe, I'm not with J.R., picking at you every chance he gets, but I get why he does it.
Babe: Please, don't feel like you have to share.
Di: Every time I see J.R. holding that boy so close, so tight, like he's afraid he's going to lose him -- you did that to him, Babe. So stop poking at him, and me.
Babe: Excuse me? J.R. dogs me and Jamie everywhere we go, and he's all up in our faces 24/7. There is no way I'm going to cave.
Di: All right, you do what you have to do. But beggars can't be choosers. Stop making me your enemy, because I'm not yours -- yet.
[Speaking German]
Tad: What the hell does that mean, anyway?
Aidan: I think it means "classified and confidential," as in Jane Doe's records.
Tad: Yeah, the least they could do is let us take a peek.
Aidan: Yeah, we have no legal right.
Tad: Well, they don't know that, especially if they don't know who she is.
Aidan: Look, Tad, we won the last war. Let's not start another one, shall we?
Tad: All right, fine. I got to go back to Pine Valley, anyway. Interview nanny Di.
Aidan: The next lead is a London hotel. Let's go there. And at least we can go back to Pine Valley and face her with facts, huh?
Tad: You're right. Ok. I'll do it, you can go home. You don't have to come with me.
Aidan: What do you mean? Someone's got to pull you off the desk clerk if he doesn't cough up.
Tad: What are you saying? That I'm too close to this?
Aidan: No, I'm saying that you want it to be Dixie. You need someone there that's clear-headed and less invested.
Tad: All right. Come on. I'm so close to an answer, I can feel it. My life goes a million miles a minute.
David: Come here. Diana, you were great. You gave all the right answers. Thank you.
Ms. Cole: I'm not --
David: Now, just forget that you've ever seen me, ok?
Ms. Cole: I'm not really sure what I did. Mr. Wellington said it was important, but he didn't say why.
David: Has your old boss Wellington ever steered you wrong before? Consider it the ultimate act of human kindness -- reuniting a mother and a long-lost child.
Di: Would it be nice if we could all just get along?
Singer: I'm a man with a mission I'll settle for love don't quit for something
Babe: I'm sorry if I'm being paranoid. It's just -- J.R. -- he's such a dirty scammer. For all I know, this could just be you fronting for the boss.
Di: Yeah, maybe I am. Somebody has to look out for him. It can't be good for J.R. cranking out all that hate. You know, I'm not even sure he can give it a rest when he's with his son. For that child's sake, I want peace in that house. Don't do anything to screw it up.
Babe: Excuse me, but I'm Little Adam's mom. I --
Di: Yeah. And I'm the one who's taking care of him. That means I'm the only help you've got.
Amanda: Tell me about Babe. I mean, I don't have a lot of girlfriends, but with her, it was instant like.
Jamie: Babe's great.
Amanda: Tell me something I don't know.
Jamie: Ok. She can imitate a goldfish. She can whistle "The Star-Spangled Banner" and twirl a baton at the same time. You know, she'll look you directly in the eye and tell you exactly what's on her mind. And with her, that can get you mad and her in a lot of trouble. But with Babe, you know exactly what you're going to get. So what's not to love?
Amanda: Wow, I -- I hope that someone can feel the same way about me someday, as long as I can keep the real me from J.R.
Jamie: Hey, if things ever get too crazy with J.R., you're welcome here anytime. The door's always open.
Amanda: Thank you, Jamie. I'll remember that.
Jack: I love what you do with the lights.
Erica: All the better to seduce my husband.
Jack: Like you need special lighting.
Jack: Alone.
Erica: At last.
[Jack laughs]
Jack: But I have one more vow. I promise you that no matter what hell our children put us through --
Erica: Oh, and I'm sure it will be a large dose.
Jack: And I'm sure you're right. I promise you a lifetime of romantic moments.
Erica: And I promise to treasure each and every one of them.
Ryan: You're going to make it to the other side. We both will.
Maria: I'll see you.
Jonathan's ghost: That's a pretty impressive show. You perked her right up. But too bad it's just words to Jack yourself up. Because you and I both know the truth, right? There's no way out for you.
Kendall: Out, now.
Greenlee: I'll leave. But promise me you'll make an appointment to see a shrink.
Kendall: Forget it.
Greenlee: You don't like your old doctor? Try Ryan's.
Kendall: I don't think Ryan's doctor would work for me.
Greenlee: Well, if you're uncomfortable with a man, he could recommend a woman.
Kendall: Greenlee, this is the last time I'm going to warn you.
Greenlee: Ok, your pride's in a twist. You want to tough it out, do it all yourself. Ryan's the same way. But look at how far he's come. He's finally at peace for the first time in forever.
Kendall: Hey, I thought you were going to leave.
Greenlee: Make an appointment to see Ryan's doctor when we get back. Maybe he can work a miracle.
Kendall: Oh, God, Greenlee, shut up. Shut up! Are you blind? Ryan's doctor is not a shrink, Greenlee, he's a surgeon. A surgeon.
Greenlee: No, he's not.
Kendall: Yes, he is. How dense are you? You think you and Ryan have this great relationship? You think you have absolute trust? You've got nothing. And that includes kids. That doctor is going to operate on Ryan to make sure he never has a baby with you or anyone.
>> On the next "All My Children" --
Greenlee (to Kendall): You knew about this for days? When is the appointment? Tell me or I'll strangle it out of you.
Ryan (to Jonathan's ghost): I killed you, I got rid of you, and I will do it again.
Maddie (to Maria): You know, thanks to you, I don't have my father, and now I'm losing my brother, too.
