>> Previously on "All My Children" --

Leo: She left me for Jake.

Jake: Greenlee!

Vanessa: Oh, gracious. She just passed out.

Jake: She's not drunk. Greenlee, what happened? Greenlee, what -- agh! Wake up! Greenlee, you got to wake up! This boat's sinking! We got to get out of here!

Kendall: Hey, Ryan.

Ryan: Hey, Kendall.

Kendall: Where you been?

Ryan: Out.

Kendall: Well, I just heard your bike pull up. Have you had dinner?

Ryan: Not yet.

Kendall: Well, I just ordered some Chinese takeout, the cholesterol special -- egg rolls and chicken fried rice. I've got plenty if you and Hayley want to share.

Ryan: Hmm. Thank you. It's been kind of a long day, so maybe another time.

Kendall: Okay. Look, I'll save you a fortune cookie. Ryan, what is it?

Kendall: Ryan, who did this? And what did they do with Hayley?

Guard: Santos, you got a visitor.

Mateo: Yeah? Well, I don't want to see anybody.

Chris: You'll see me.

Mateo: Hey, get this scum out of here.

Chris: Why don't you chill out?

Mateo: Hey!

Chris: I'm not the enemy.

Mateo: Get him out of here!

Chris: What's wrong with you? Come on, I know you're no drug runner. Why don't you work with me to prove it?

Mateo: What?

Chris: You got hard evidence on Proteus. Why don't you just give it over?

Mateo: Go to hell.

Chris: You want to die, Santos? You know, word is out on the street that you're next on Proteus' hit list. Why don't you smarten up and help me stop him before he stops you -- permanently.

[Knock on door]

Leo: Go away.

Vanessa: Leo, Darling, it's me.

Leo: Mother. Why not? Pile it on!

Vanessa: Ah, Leo, darling. I'm sorry, I'm sorry to bother you and Greenlee on your Valentine's eve, but -- I forgot my gloves here. Oh -- there they are. But -- darling, where's Greenlee?

Leo: Oh -- she's gone.

Vanessa: Gone?

Leo: Yeah.

Vanessa: Gone where?

Leo: Well, she picked bachelor number two to be her first mate. She set sail with Jake on his new boat. And I'm just toasting them bon voyage, that's all. You don't seem surprised.

Vanessa: Surprised? Darling, I'm stunned.

Leo: Oh, whatever. You knew she was going to leave me for Jake. So, come on. Give me your best "I told you so."

Vanessa: Oh, Leo. No, darling, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I know you're hurting. Don't fear, Mother's here, and I will help you get through this. I swear I will.

Jake: Greenlee! Wake up! Wake up! Hey! Greenlee, wake up! Hey! Greenlee, listen to me.

Greenlee: What --

Jake: Greenlee, Greenlee, look, look -- look at me. Vanessa drugged us, all right? She set us adrift on this boat, and it's leaking, and we're going to go down with it if we don't act fast. You understand?

Greenlee: Jake, what do we do?

Jake: Okay, I'm going to figure it out. I'm going to figure this out. Listen, I need you to stay with me. Stay with me! All right? Vanessa gave you an overdose!

Greenlee: Oh. Oh, sleepy. So sleepy.

Jake: No, no, you can't go to sleep! Greenlee, you cannot go to sleep or you're going to die! You understand me? Wake up!

Kendall: Oh, my God. Hayley was kidnapped!

Ryan: No, no, she's all right. She's safe.

Kendall: Where?

Ryan: I expected this might happen, so I moved her out of this -- this dump.

Kendall: Ryan, who did this? I didn't hear anybody come in here when I was in my room.

Ryan: It was Stamp who'd do this. Who else would do this? He probably suspected that Hayley was laying low here.

Kendall: Right, and he figured Hayley was hiding in a desk drawer.

Ryan: No! He was looking for something else.

Kendall: Like what?

Ryan: Like anything else to put Mateo away for life, all right? He doesn't care who or what he trashes to do it.

Kendall: Are you sure it's Stamp?

Ryan: Yes, I'm sure it's Stamp, all right? He gets a charge out of sticking it to me.

Kendall: Maybe you're pinning this on the wrong guy.

Ryan: It's Stamp! All right? He's got his prints all over this mess.

Kendall: You hate the guy, that's why you're blaming this on him, but what if he's clean?

Ryan: He's not clean. What's the matter with you? He's as dirty as they come.

Kendall: What if the feds aren't involved? What if one of Mateo’s drug buddies tossed this place?

Ryan: My gut tells me I'm right.

Kendall: Yeah, well, my gut tells me now that you have Hayley stashed someplace else, just steer clear of Mateo and his little blonde trophy wife.

Ryan: You think I'm going to turn my back on Hayley? Listen, maybe you ditch your friends when they're in trouble, but really, it's not my style, Kendall.

Kendall: Wait a minute; are you kidding me? Some thug breaks in here, totally trashes your place, and you're yelling at me?

Ryan: You know what? I'm out of here.

Kendall: Where you going?

Ryan: I'm going to make sure Hayley's all right.

Kendall: You are up to something, Lavery. And I'm going to find out what.

Mateo: You're a piece of work, Stamp.

Chris: I can help you.

Mateo: You put me in here. We're not pals.

Chris: Look, we're on it, Mateo.

Mateo: Yeah, right.

Chris: I put you in here for your own protection.

Mateo: Yeah, well, I appreciate the security. It's got a nice view of the exercise yard.

Chris: Look, the only way to smoke out Proteus is to let him think -- to let him think that the heat is off, Mateo.

Mateo: You put me in here, away from my family, to bait this drug lord? Is that what you're saying to me?

Chris: He's getting ready to escape. You taking the fall was all part of the plan, pal. Look, I'm sorry, but we're running out of time and options.

Mateo: Get me the hell out of here.

Chris: I can't do that, not yet. Proteus will think that we're on to him. Look, you know, understand something -- there's a hit out on you. You're safer in here than you are on the outside!

Mateo: What are you talking about? I'm a prisoner. I'm stuck here.

Chris: Just till we drop Proteus.

Mateo: Well, how long is that going to be?

Chris: That depends. That depends on you, Mateo, because you got something on him. You've got hard evidence that's going to link him to the drug trafficking. That something will stand up in court! Look, we dismantled your computer, Mateo. Files have been deleted.

Mateo: I cleaned out my computer. So what?

Chris: So I watched you and Hayley when you got arrested. I could tell that you were faking. I could tell that you were hiding something. And something else is I think that Ryan is in on this.

Mateo: Yeah, well, he's no friend of mine.

Chris: Yeah, well, you asked him to watch after your wife, and he was like a guard dog when I went through your stuff at the Chandler place, pal.

Mateo: Yeah, I'm sorry I missed that. I was busy here with the warden.

Chris: What the hell is it going to take? What is it going to take for you to open up and trust me? Tell me!

Mateo: Something you can't do.

Chris: What?

Mateo: Prove to me that you're not Proteus.

Chris: I can prove it. Starting with this. Take it.

Leo: Thanks, Vanessa, but I don't need my mommy right now, thank you.

Vanessa: Oh, my goodness, Darling.

Leo: I got myself a bottle of premium bubbly to get me through the night, thank you very much.

Vanessa: Drinking to forget Greenlee Smythe is a waste of very good champagne.

Leo: Oh, not for me.

Vanessa: Well, I suppose it's one option -- drowning your sorrows. If you ask me, you're just well rid of her.

Leo: Yeah? Well, I didn't ask you, so --

Vanessa: Oh, come on, Darling, what are you really losing except for some flighty Erica Kane wannabe. Oh!

Leo: Enchantment's poster child.

Vanessa: Exactly! I mean, come on. Greenlee Smythe is a two-timer who shuttles between you and Jake Martin just to pick up bonus miles. Talk about bad taste -- choosing a terminally dull doctor over you. What can you expect from a girl who wears sundresses in the winter?

Leo: Or dares to wear white after Labor Day.

Vanessa: You are everything Jake isn't.

Leo: Yeah -- except he's got Greenlee.

Vanessa: Oh, well, what could she possibly see in him, anyway? I mean, you're -- oh, Darling, you're champagne and caviar.

Leo: Paris in the spring.

Vanessa: And Jake is winter in Des Moines.

Leo: And a hero sandwich, right?

Vanessa: Yeah! Oh. You see, Greenlee's really just too needy to even appreciate you, Darling. Besides that, you could have any girl in the world.

[Leo sighs]

Leo: But I want Greenlee.

Vanessa: Well, she's not good enough for you, Love.

Leo: No. It's not true. She's one of the most loving, passionate -- I -- I just don't understand it. She -- we spent the night last night on this couch, imagining our wedding day. I just -- the vows and the church and the ceremony, everything. I just don't understand how she could do this to me.

Vanessa: Darling, she was playing with you.

Leo: No, she wasn't. No, she wasn't. She was -- she was being totally real. Greenlee still loves me. I know she does.

Vanessa: Darling, sorry, but what in the name of true love is this?

Leo: It's Greenlee's engagement ring.

Jake: Greenlee? Stay with me. Stay with me.

Greenlee: No, I'll try.

Jake: Good girl. Good girl. Listen, I need to find a way to plug this leak because we're sinking here, okay? Agh! Where's all this water coming from?

Greenlee: The ocean?

Jake: No, no, no. Where's it getting in? Greenlee! Wake up!

Greenlee: I'm awake, I'm awake, I'm awake.

Jake: Okay, so talk to me. Talk to me.

Greenlee: About what?

Jake: Anything, anything. Just start talking to me. Say something.

Greenlee: I wish that I could dive into a nice, soft feather bed.

Jake: Okay, Greenlee, don't talk, don't talk. Sing. Sing. Sing something to me, okay?

Greenlee: Sing?

Jake: Sing, sing, like -- like -- like row, row, row row your boat

Greenlee: Row, row

Jake and Greenlee: Row your boat

Jake: Come on, keep singing!

Greenlee: Gently down the stream

Jake: Sing. Merrily, merrily merrily, merrily

Greenlee: Merrily, merrily merrily, merrily life is but a dream Jake, I want to go home! I want to go home!

Jake: I'm going to get you home, I promise. I'm going to get us out of here!

Kendall: What are you hiding, Lavery? And what does it have to do with Mateo and his little blonde wife?

[Lock turns]

Chris: Stamp here. I'm at the Pine Cone. What did you guys turn up? Excu-- did you say nothing? You leave this place looking like a disaster zone and you come up empty handed? No leads on Proteus? How about Hayley? You know, you're amateurs! Morons.

[Kendall sighs]

Kendall: Oh, you -- you got me, copper. Hey. Hey, I don't do skin-to-skin on the first date.

Chris: What are you doing here, Ms. Hart?

Kendall: I was looking for some shampoo.

Chris: What, you want the last laugh? You know, it might cost you in ways you can't imagine.

Kendall: I'm not afraid of you.

Chris: Well, you should be.

Kendall: If you try anything on me --

Chris: Yeah?

Kendall: Someone's going to come over here and they're going to totally, totally --

Chris: What? What? What's going to happen?

Kendall: I -- I'm waiting for a Chinese takeout order. If they come to my room and I'm not there to get it --

Chris: What, they're going to come in here and do what to me? Stab me with a chopstick?

Kendall: I heard you on the phone.

Chris: Yeah? So?

Kendall: So I know that you sent your goons to toss Ryan’s room.

Chris: I'm just doing my job, Ms. Hart.

Kendall: Yeah? You better hurry up and finish it before Ryan gets back.

Chris: Well, maybe you should can the chatter and listen up.

Kendall: Oh, is this where the sweet talk begins?

Chris: No, this is where I lay it on the line, Ms. Hart. Ryan won't cooperate, but you -- you're going to help me, and you're going to do exactly what I say.

Vanessa: Ah. Oh, my poor Leo. Mon pauvre petit. Darling, how could she be so plain heartless? Oh, Sweetheart. And they said it wouldn't last.

[Phone rings]

Vanessa: Hello?

Guard: Stamp was here visiting Santos.

Vanessa: [As Proteus] What did he want?

Guard: Look, I didn't get it all, but he was leaning on Santos pretty hard to give up something that could blow your cover.

Vanessa: [Normal voice] Well, Mr. Santos won't be around long enough to give up anything -- except his life.

Guard: What do you want me to do?

Vanessa: Proceed with the plan. Mr. Santos is a dead man walking.

Leo: Who was that?

Vanessa: No one important, Darling. How are you?

Leo: Oh, I'm fine.

Vanessa: Well, of course you are, Sweetheart. I mean, I taught you to survive.

Leo: Yeah? Well, this time I'm on the losing end, Mother.

Vanessa: Darling, this too shall pass. You'll forget all about Greenlee.

Leo: See, I don't want to forget about it. I want to figure out what happens next.

Vanessa: Well, chasing after her is not an option.

Leo: Why not?

Vanessa: Because she -- she sailed off with Jake! I mean, they're out there on the waves right now doing something nautical. Darling, if you ask me, she did you a favor by just running away with him.

Leo: Oh, come on. You always disliked Greenlee. She was just a source of ready cash for you.

Vanessa: Oh, no. It's just the thought of you -- I mean, settling in, you know, to a match with that bride -- I mean, Leo, it's not you! Come on, it's so middle class. You're above all that.

Leo: Maybe I like the idea of a sane, normal life.

Vanessa: Oh, come on, Darling. When have we ever done normal?

Leo: Well, that's nothing to be proud of.

Vanessa: Oh, I can just see you, yes, in this ho-hum life married to Greenlee -- I mean, living in Pine Valley.

Leo: Who said we were going to settle here?

Vanessa: Well, Greenlee seems to think so and has that plan whether you do or not, Darling. I mean, she's fixated on, well, having some sort of career at Enchantment.

Leo: For now.

Vanessa: Leo, she's going to want you to go to work -- I mean, have a career. I mean, where's the adventure in that?

Leo: Maybe I want a career.

Vanessa: Doing what?

Leo: Oh, I don't know, Mother. I guess I could probably think of something.

Vanessa: No, no, I know --

Leo: Greenlee -- listen to me. Greenlee's good for me.

Vanessa: There isn't a girl in the world good enough for you, my darling. No, no. So can you forget this -- this absurd quest for domesticity?

Leo: So what -- what am I supposed to do with the rest of my life?

Vanessa: Well, Darling, we go back to the way we were. I mean, before we came to Pine Valley. I mean, we were a hell of a team. We were conning the baroness, the countess. You know? Our only motto was "take the money and run," our only commitment to each other.

Leo: Okay. So if we were such good crooks, why did we always end up broke?

Vanessa: Oh, well, we were only broke for moments at a time. Besides, Darling, you know what? You can catch the golden goose every time.

Leo: Are you ever going to stop chasing the -- the golden score?

Vanessa: Well, we almost got there, didn't we, Darling? I mean --

Leo: Yeah.

Vanessa: Yes. We came so close to separating Palmer and Greenlee from their fortunes. And when that didn't quite pan out, we wave good-bye to Pine Valley and on to new pockets to pick.

Leo: So you've got this whole thing planned out?

Vanessa: Well, it's always good to know where your next meal's coming from.

Leo: Who's the mark?

Vanessa: Well, I purchased two tickets to Madrid. There's a count there, newly widowed. He has a very wealthy niece with a bad skin problem and a bit of a mustache, but dripping in euros. So grab your passport, Darling, and pack a bag. We leave for Spain tonight.

Jake: Greenlee? Greenlee! Do you remember the night we -- we camped out in the woods? Remember that, when you ran out in the bushes because you saw a bug and you thought it was as big as Godzilla? You remember all the stars that were out that night?

Greenlee: You found a new constellation.

Jake: That's right, of a queen -- a queen, renowned for her courage and her beauty. And I named her Greenlee. Remember?

Greenlee: That's the night you said you could fall in love with me.

Jake: Well, I lied. I lied to you. I was already in love with you.

Greenlee: And I slept in your sleeping bag. It was warm. It was so warm. Oh, I want to be warm right now.

Vanessa: Spain, darling. Can't you just see it? Huh? Can't you feel the heat shimmering off the steps of the Prado and we'll -- we'll summer in the Pyrenees, just like old times, huh? Leo, you're not listening to a word I've said.

Leo: Greenlee didn't leave me for the reasons you think.

Vanessa: Oh, Leo, for heaven's sakes --

Leo: No, she didn't leave me because she doesn't love me enough. She didn't leave me because she's fickle or because she's bored.

Vanessa: Why do you insist on all this unpleasant --

Leo: Listen, she left me because I didn't love her enough.

Vanessa: Oh, Leo, really. No one has as big a heart as you.

Leo: Yeah, well, it wasn't big enough for Greenlee. I didn't make enough room for her.

Vanessa: Oh, that's absurd.

Leo: No, it's not absurd. I loved Greenlee on my own terms. I only gave her part of myself, the part that I could afford to lose, and I -- I guess I kept the rest hidden.

Vanessa: Oh, no, no. I'm not going to have you blaming yourself for Greenlee's failings!

Leo: No, these are my failings. When things got bad, I didn't tough it out. I married a woman I didn't love because it was safer than risking it all with the woman I did. I never thought twice about what I was doing to Greenlee. I blamed her for my mistakes. And when I did that, I broke something.

Vanessa: Really, Leo, that's ri-- nonsense.

Leo: No, it's not nonsense, and it's not absurd! When Greenlee and I got back together, I acted like Laura and our marriage never even existed. I never admitted to myself or to her how much I'd hurt Greenlee. And now -- now she's gone and it's too late.

Kendall: You ripped into me on the witness stand, Mr. Stamp, and now you want my help? Oh, you've got a lot of nerve.

Chris: So do you. It'll come in handy on the job.

Kendall: I'm not looking for work.

Chris: I'll pay you five grand.

Kendall: Erica told you I like quick money.

Chris: Yeah, well, it doesn't get much quicker than this, Ms. Hart; $2,500 upfront, the back half when you come through for me.

Kendall: What do you want me to do?

Chris: Hayley and Mateo are withholding some crucial information to my investigation.

Kendall: Investigation? You mean the whole Proteus thing?

Chris: Right.

Kendall: And you think Ryan’s a player?

Chris: I know he's personally involved, which I think is a bad idea. I've been trying to get --

Kendall: But he wouldn't listen to you because Ryan doesn't take orders from anybody.

Chris: And Proteus doesn't take prisoners, Ms. Hart. If Ryan gets too close, he'll kill him.

Kendall: And this evidence you want would -- would stop Proteus and help save Ryan?

Chris: And Hayley and Mateo.

Kendall: Will my life be in danger?

Chris: Not if you work fast.

Kendall: What do you want me to do?

Chris: You and Ryan -- you hang out a lot together, right?

Kendall: We're neighbors. I bug him, he bugs me.

Chris: Whatever. I just -- I just want you to stay close to him.

Kendall: What do you mean, like, pump him for info, try to find out what he's hiding?

Chris: You got it.

Kendall: No, I don't got it. I'm actually majorly confused. Ryan's not the only one personally involved.

Chris: Do we have a deal or not?

Kendall: You killed Ryan’s dad. You -- you're on his case all the time, flashing your badge. You bust into his room. You -- you trash his place.

Chris: So?

Kendall: So then you make a complete 180 with this soft talk about wanting to protect Ryan. And the hell of it is you sound like you mean it.

Chris: I do.

[Door opens]

Ryan: Oh. What the hell are you doing here?

Guard: Hey, Santos? You hungry?

Mateo: Nope.

Guard: Oh, the slop they dish up in this joint is enough to put anyone off their feed. There's blueberry muffins in here. My wife made them. Guaranteed to melt in your mouth.

Mateo: Yeah, if they're so good, why don't you eat them?

Guard: Oh, can’t. Got to watch the cholesterol. Hey, dig in. There's coffee here, too.

Mateo: No, thanks.

Guard: It's hard to get used to this place, huh? Men penned up like cattle, fed slop. It gets me down sometimes.

Mateo: Yeah, well, why do you work here, then?

Guard: I'm an observer of human nature. I know who's guilty and who isn't by first lock down.

Mateo: Is that right?

Guard: Take you. You don't have that killer instinct.

Mateo: Why don't you go tell the feds that?

Guard: You're going to beat this rap, Santos. Blueberry muffin says walk out of here with a clean rap sheet.

Mateo: All right, bring it on.

Mateo: Thanks.

Guard: Enjoy.

Mateo: Pretty good.

Chris: Just stopped by to see if my guys turned up.

Ryan: Hey, that's -- that's the truth. That's the first time I've ever heard that come out of your mouth.

Chris: Well, you’re the one holding out, Ryan, not me.

Ryan: You see, I told you this was his mess. I told you.

Chris: Where's Hayley?

Ryan: Why you asking me?

Chris: Because I know you got her stashed someplace.

Ryan: I got an idea -- why don't you ask your wrecking crew to find her?

Chris: Nothing's easy with you, is it?

Ryan: You're the one with a badge, Stamp. Why don't you earn it? Listen; if I lose my security deposit, it's coming out of your pocket.

Kendall: Mr. Stamp, don't you want to tell Ryan the other reason that you popped by? Oh, careful or your face will freeze that way.

Ryan: What did he want, Kendall?

Kendall: Agent Stamp wanted to hire me to work for him. He offered me five grand.

Ryan: To do what?

Kendall: Do the lady spy thing, give you the Mata Hari treatment, get close to you, figure out what you're hiding for Hayley and Mateo.

Ryan: Wow, Chris Stamp using other people to do his dirty work. Now, why doesn't that surprise me?

Kendall: Oh, gee, Mr. Stamp, I just blew my cover. Guess I won't be taking you up on your offer. That's too bad. You know, five Gs would buy a girl a lot of chicken chow mein.

[Phone rings]

Chris: Stamp. Yeah, yeah, I'll be right there.

Ryan: Going to make the world a safer place?

Kendall: There's a phone booth out front. You can use it to change into your superhero suit.

Chris: You two think this is funny ha-ha? You keep playing guard dog to Hayley and Mateo, you're going to get toe-tagged and body-bagged.

Kendall: You owe me, Ryan. You owe me big-time.

Vanessa: Oh, please, I've had my heart broken a thousand times, and each time I swore I would never recover, but a little -- a little distance did wonders, a new scene. Here's two tickets to Madrid. Hmm, first class, just like you and me. I can just see through the plane's window Pine Valley fading in the distance, hmm? And tomorrow night, you and I will be eating tapas to a flamenco guitar and this hick town will only be a bad memory.

Leo: Mother, can we just not --

Vanessa: No, Darling, come on, it's futile to resist, hmm? Hmm. We just have to wave bye-bye to all of our problems here, hmm?

Jake: Greenlee! Greenlee! Greenlee. Greenlee. We made it to shore.

Jake: Greenlee. Greenlee?

Jake: Come on. Come on! Breathe! Greenlee! Greenlee! Don't you die on me!

Kendall: Why are you staring at me?

Ryan: Why didn't you take Chris up on his offer?

Kendall: Good question.

Ryan: Five Gs is a lot of money.

Kendall: Yeah, and I'm not exactly rolling in dough.

Ryan: I thought you just came into some.

Kendall: Well, a girl's got expenses.

Ryan: So why didn't you take him up on his bribe?

Kendall: It doesn't matter.

Ryan: Oh, no?

Kendall: What matters is you.

Ryan: Me?

Kendall: Yeah, I'm not exactly a fan of Chris Stamp's, but he's right about one thing -- hooking up with Hayley and Mateo is a serious risk.

Ryan: Yeah, I know.

Kendall: Do you, Ryan? Do you want to die?

Ryan: I don't really care one way or the other.

Kendall: Well, I do, damn it, and I am scared to death for you.

Ryan: Why do you care?

Kendall: Because. I -- I don't want to see anything bad happen to you.

Vanessa: Oh, come on, Leo. New vistas, new conquests. You and I will complete each other like we always have. Darling, you just say yes and we're off.

Leo: Mother --

Vanessa: Now, Darling, don't disappoint me. Oh, please, Leo.

Leo: I'm sorry. I'm not going to go with you. I can’t.

Vanessa: Huh!

Leo: I love Greenlee, and I'm going to get her back.

Vanessa: But you can't have her back!

Leo: I'm going to fight for Greenlee. I'm going to find her and I'm going to fight for her. This is not over. I'm not losing her.

Vanessa: Oh, my God. Huh. You can't fight for someone who's dead.

Jake: Good girl. That a girl. Okay. That a girl. Come on. You scared me. You scared me. You're okay. You're all right. You're okay. You're -- that was close. Greenlee? Greenlee? Greenlee, can you hear me? Greenlee? Greenlee?

[Music plays]

Jake: Greenlee? Greenlee!

Greenlee: Where am I?

Greenlee: No. No. This can't be real.

Mateo: Mmm.

Guard: It's good, huh?

Mateo: Pretty good.

Guard: So that fed who was in here before -- he seemed like a real hardass.

Mateo: Yeah, what about him?

Guard: Well, I mean, he's the reason you're in here, right? He's not your buddy or anything. What'd he want?

Mateo: Nothing. Thanks for the coffee and muffin.

Guard: Because, look, if he's giving you a hard time or anything --

Mateo: He's not giving me a hard time, all right? Just don't worry about him.

Guard: Well, maybe I want to worry about him.

>> On the next "All My Children" --

Palmer: I've got your cold-blooded murderer.

Vanessa: No one can help you now. It's all over for you

Maggie: I think this is Frankie's last message -- to you.

Hayley: Mateo! Mateo! Help him!
