Notes on Character:

Full name is Clark Jerome Kent. Will later find out that his name on his home planet is Kal-El. His spaceship landed in the cornfields of Smallville on the night of the meteor shower in 1989, he was 4. He was found by Martha and Jonathan Kent, and was quickly adopted with the help of Lionel Luthor. Clark has a crush on Lana Lang, but won't tell her as he doesn't want to ruin the friendship, however, she is aware of it, and they have been on a few dates. Unfortunately, Clark always has to miss out and lets her down everytime, because he has to go save someone close to him. Chloe Sullivan has a crush on Clark. He saved Lex Luthor's life as Lex drove his car off a bridge, and they have developed a deep friendship, with Lex still wondering what is different about Clark. Apart from Clark's parents, his friend Pete Ross is the only one who is fully aware of his abilities.

Actor Biography:

Attended Okemos High School, Okemos, Michigan. He decided not to go to college, and was a construction worker for a while, while still living with his parents. Started modeling at 21. This did not fulfill him enough so he moved to LA to try and make it as an actor.
He first starred in 6 episodes of "Judging Amy". At the Smallville auditions, 200 people auditioned for the role of Clark Kent. When Tom was offered the part, he refused it twice before accepting it. He auditioned for the role of Tag (Rachel's secretary) on Friends.
Tom got so into his Clark Kent character once, that, when he saw a woman being mugged, he ran over and fought off her attackers. The woman looked at him and said "Wow, you really are Superman" and he just laughed.
Tom has a pug named Cook.
