Lois Lane... Well, what can we say about Lois Lane? For those which even the smallest knowledge of Superman mythos, the name Lois Lane means so much... She is destined to be Superman's... and his.... well, that's all still to come...
For now, we're still in Smallville, and Clark Kent is still a teenager... And Clark Kent loves Lana Lang. So what is Lois Lane doing in Smallville?
Well, Lois Lane is Chloe Sullivan's elder cousin. She first appeared in Smallville, when she was told she couldn't attend college until she officially graduated from high school, so she finished her senior year, along with Chloe, Clark and Lana.
Lois has a sister, named Lucy. Her father is respected military General Sane Lane, her mother has passed away. Lois had to grow up fast and become a responsible adult, to look after herself and her sister, while her father was away. Lois has grown up fast, and, when we first meet her, is addicted to smoking, something she is trying really hard to give up.
And what is of her relationship with Clark at this point? Well, it didn't start off so good... She was well received by Martha Kent and Jonathan Kent, but Clark... well, he had to give up his room for her, so needless to say, their first few months were a little icy. Slowly, though, a friendship developed, but there is no love interest there, Lois is aware that Clark only has eyes for Lana, and she, at this point, seems him as a young, simple farmboy, who she affectionately calls 'Smallville'.
