General Spoilers:
10/25 - Volchok will be back, and I think you'll be very satisfied with how
that story line gets wrapped up. Mr. Pratt revealed that his O.C. stint has
been extended to nine episodes. Kevin Sorbo, is doing a two-episode arc.
Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
10/11 - A character from The O.C. will leave town next month to take a job
at Seattle Grace. But, and I can't stress this enough, this is probably news
to Shonda Rhimes. I should also point out that this "crossover" is more
amusing than anything else. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide [Note: It is
likely that the person moving to Seattle will be Dr. Roberts.]
10/06 - Sandy returns to the Public Defender's office, and he and Kirsten
find themselves the happiest they have ever been with each other while
rising to the challenge of keeping their family together. Summer has left
Orange County and is attending Brown University in Rhode Island, where she
has reinvented herself as a left-leaning, tree-hugging activist under the
sway of Che (guest-star Chris Pratt); out are Summer's celebrity gossip
magazines and in are her "Chicken-lovers of the world unite!" flyers.
Meanwhile, Seth, lonely in the O.C. and working at a local comic book store,
turns to watching golf with Dr. Roberts and hanging out with the Newpsies
for social stimulation. Kaitlin (new series regular Willa Holland) returns
to the O.C. as the No. 1 troublemaker at The Harbor School. Over the summer
she has befriended Luke's younger twin brothers, Eric (Corey Price) and Brad
Ward (Wayne Dalglish), who worship her. Meanwhile, Julie will do anything –
even yard work – to avoid dealing with the loss of Marissa. And Taylor (new
series regular Autumn Reeser) is hiding out and speaking French in the O.C.
after her mysterious romance in Paris. Chris Pratt will appear in a
multi-episode arc starting on the season premiere, playing Summer's
environmentalist activist Svengali, Che. Pop/R&B teen sensation Chris Brown,
17, begins production on THE O.C. in late October; episodes featuring Brown
will air on FOX later in the season. Brown will play Will Tutt, a lonely
band geek at The Harbor School who befriends Kaitlin Cooper. As their
friendship grows, a possible romance blossoms in the O.C. Source: FOX
09/20 - Summer's never-before-seen step-monster will be back this season,
and she'll cause major problems for Dr. Roberts and Julie. Marissa, or, I
should say the back of Marissa, will be seen in a vision. I doubt highly
they'd bring Mischa Barton back just for that. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV
Guide
09/03 - Chris Brown is taking his act from the big stage to the small
screen. The R&B sensation, who's been touring with Ne-Yo and a rotating
roster of youthful hip-hop stars, is set to join another sprightly cast this
fall. "I'm gonna be on 'The O.C.,' "a smiling Brown revealed Wednesday at
the MTV Video Music Awards media forum at Radio City Music Hall. The singer
says producers for the show contacted his management, and Brown jumped at
the opportunity. The Virginia native is set to appear in approximately seven
episodes of the fourth season of the drama, which begins shooting in October
and airing in November. [...] "I play, like, a band geek — I'm really
stepping out of my own character," he said. "I was kind of a geek in school,
grade-wise. But style-wise, I was always popular and cool. But [on the show]
I'm geeked out all the way. I'm just trying to be myself and then be the
character [the role calls for]. I don't look at it like this role takes away
from who I am." Source: MTV
08/07 - [According to my OC mole,] Julie Cooper develops substance abuse
problem after losing Marissa, straining her and Dr. Robert's relationship.

05/19/2006 - When the series returns for season four, high school seems like
a distant memory to the young graduates, who have been thrust into adulthood
after the life-changing events of graduation night. Who heads to college to
try to put the past behind them? Who stays in town because they can’t let
the past go? Will the person responsible for the tragedy go free? Or will
someone decide that the way to heal is through revenge? It’s a battle for
Ryan’s soul as the Cohens struggle to keep him focused on the future,
fighting the forces that threaten to pull him back into his old life. Sandy
returns to the Public Defender’s office, and he and Kirsten find themselves
reaching out to another troubled teen, but this one is not a stranger. It’s
Kaitlin Cooper, the number-one troublemaker at The Harbor School, and too
much to handle for her mother Julie, who’s off making some trouble of her
own. The person most excited about leaving high school finds himself back
there – as a teacher. And new cast member Taylor Townsend finds herself with
some unlikely new roommates – and family members. As much as the arrival of
Ryan has changed the lives of this community, so too has the departure of
Marissa. The season hits the ground running with just the right mix of
heart, humor, action and romance as our characters embrace their futures
together. It’s a new day on THE O.C. … Source: FOX

General Season 4 Spoilers:
06/07 - Yes, it's true. The show doesn't come back until early November and, with the scheduling for this fall and next winter/spring, Fox only needed 16 at this point. I'm told that number can easily (and quickly) be increased. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
05/24 - Josh Schwartz reveals: [Season 4] won't pick up directly. We're not coming back until November, and I think we'll use some of that time to put a couple of months between us and the tragedy. But it certainly will not be forgotten. Volchok will be around, and you'll have an opportunity to see how [killing Marissa] landed on him and affected him, and I think that will be interesting. The show was originally about Ryan and the Cohens, and that's what it's going to go back to next year. It's really going to be about the Cohen family surrounding Ryan after this and the battle for his soul. Some people have gone to college when the show starts, some people haven't been able to go, and some people are waiting to go. We'll break the mold next year. [Part of the show will be set in Rhode Island.] Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

04/19 - Josh Schwartz told my colleague Ileane Rudolph that he's planning a major "reinvention" of the show next season. For starters, Kaitlin (Willa Holland) will move back to town full-time, sparking a "repopulation of the high-school universe," Schwartz says. "You will see a whole new generation through Kaitlin's eyes." The "older" set, meanwhile, will segue into a "twentysomething world beyond just the bait shop. There's a whole young-adult world in Newport for our kids to get in trouble in." Schwartz won't guarantee that the core four ? Seth, Summer, Ryan and Marissa ? will all be back, but he did share this most welcome scoopbit: Autumn Reeser (Taylor) will be made a series regular. "You can anticipate a more fully evolved, romantically evolved version of Taylor in Season 4." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

General Season 3 Spoilers:
01/11 - Samaire Armstrong's return as Anna. "She [comes back] when
there's a little bit of emotional upheaval for Seth as he prepares to go
away to college," Schwartz explains of the pixie's three-episode arc,
which begins in late April. "And there are some complications for
Seth-Summer based on all this anxiety. and he really needs a stabilizing
force. But her timing is inopportune if you're Summer." Schwartz says
Seth's increasing neurosis about college will give Adam Brody a shot to
show off those dramatic chops of his. "Adam is as skilled a dramatic
actor as he is a comedic actor, and we really want to start exploring
that." Marissa, meanwhile, will also find her relationship under siege
when new kid on the beach Sadie (Thirteen's Nikki Reed) makes a
play for Ryan. "She's going to bring out a new side in Ryan," he says,
"and challenge his savior complex." Where exactly does that leave
Marissa? "Remember Johnny's nemesis, Volchok (Jack & Bobby's
Cam Gigandet)?" says Schwartz. "He's coming back. and he's going to have
his sights set on Marissa." There will be a funeral. Josh Schwartz tells
me that "a pretty important" character "will be dying in the next month
and a half." He said Teresa would be back "sometime in 2006," Marissa
and Summer "could end up stepsisters," and Julie Cooper's demon spawn,
Kaitlin, will be on the scene for a "handful of episodes upfront and
then she'll be back probably by the end of the season" - most likely to
attend her big sis' graduation.

you did make a presumption in calling it Ryan's baby. I just wanted to
point that out. [...]" Source:

09/01 - > Teresa and the wee babeh WILL be addressed! "That
storyline WILL resolve itself sometime in the near future," Schwartz
says. > No one is safe. "I think there's gonna be some surprising turn
of events. A major character will leave and we may find ourselves at
another funeral again this year.” 3. We're going to see Trey leave town
but that won’t be the last of him. "No, nope," Schwartz confirms. "Logan
Marshall-Green, being a fantastic actor, he really brought so much to
the show and to the role of Trey that we have every intention of one day
that bus turning around. We left it intentionally kind of enigmatic and
open-ended, 'cause you can always come back. We'd love to bring him
back, and some other returning faces this year." > Schwartz is thinking
ahead. "We are going to create our own fictional university: Orange

our focus is senior year. Then next year, everything as we know it
changes."
