Angel Episode Guide
Season Four; Episode Nineteen: "The
Magic Bullet" ByCathy
(This is a short recap; we hope to have a longer, more detailed summary
later)

People are walking the streets with
the look of total bliss on their faces and the Beach Boys “Won’t
it be Nice” is playing. It is a perfect Utopia world. Fred who
knows the truth and is not under the spell of Jasmine is on the
run from her friends. She arrives at a book store The Magic Bullet
(the episode’s title) seeing if the owner of the store has found
books for her about mass hypnosis, and mind control.
Angel’s hotel is now renting out
rooms to people to not only make money; no crime no money but also
so Jasmine’s worshippers can be close to her.
Jasmine uses her mind to see
through people’s eyes to find Fred. Everyone now seems to be
physic.
Fred stumbles literally on to an
executive demon in his cave dwelling. He says he’s a vegetarian
but later after Fred discovers human hands he attacks her and she’s
on the run again to the bookstore where Jasmine, Angel and Connor
are waiting for her. Fred apologizes to Angel before she shoots
Jasmine but the bullet goes through her and hits Angel. Angel
holds a gun on Fred but when he looks at Jasmine he too see the
true demon in side her. It is discovered that if you have contact
with Jasmines blood then the spell is broken. (eg. Guy at bowling
alley cuts her, Fred washed her bloody shirt, and the bullet went
through Jasmine and then through Angel). After a struggle with
Connor, Angel leaves with Fred.
Jasmine heals quickly. Back at the
hotel she, as she has been doing all episode, picks people to join
her in her room. We discover that she has them strip down and then
she eats them. Connor thinks this is ‘cool’.
Angel and Fred realize they need
Jasmines blood to warn others. They not so quietly enter the still
unconscious Cordelia’s room to steal some of her blood. Lorne,
Wes and Gunn catch them but they soon make them aware, with Cordy’s
blood of Jasmines evil ways. Unfortunately the blood does not
affect Connor and he exposes their presence in the hotel.

Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), J. August Richards (Gunn), Amy Aker
(Fred), Vincent Kartheiser (Connor), Andy Hallett (Lorne) and
Alexis Denisof (as Wesley).
Interesting Moments:
We learn that Lorne’s heart is
located in his ass. Interesting!
We also learn a little about Connor’s
life with Holtz when he discusses with his dad how he learn to
track.
Fred describes everyone as ‘shiny
happy people’, title of last week’s episode.
Gunn tells Jasmine she should take
over ‘Regis’s’ chair.
Angel and Connor sing ‘Jasmine’
to the tune of ‘Mandy’ karaoke style.
Jasmine tells the bookstore owner
that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
Angel and Fred kiss and Angel
seemed to have enjoyed it.
