Michael Vartan

Michael was born on November 27, 1968 in France. Michael, an only child, lived in France permanently until his parents divorced when Michael was five. His American mother moved back to the states while his French father remained in France. After the divorce, Michael shuttled back and forth between France and the United States. At the age of 18, Michael decided against joining the French Army (which is required of men) and moved to the states. After being encouraged to try his bid at acting, Michael enrolled in acting school. He was featured in several Foreign films. Michaels first major American movie was Pallbearers starring David Schwimmer and Gwyneth Paltrow. One of his most memorable films was Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore, in which he played the charming Sam Coulson. After this movie, Michaels popularity began to rise as a dashing, young actor. Michael followed up with even more successful roles in television, Ally McBeal and Friends), as well as feature films (The Next Best Thing, It Had to Be You). In 2001, Michael was cast in Alias where he plays the devoted CIA agent, Michael Vaughn. Even with his success as a television actor, Michael continues to flex his acting skills in films, such as One Hour Photo. Michaels interests include hockey, painting and guitar. He dates his Alias co-star, Jennifer Garner. To learn more about Michael, visit http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0890232/bio
