Spin City: The Complete Sixth Season

 Review by Suzanne Lanoue 12/6/11

This was a very funny show. I watched every episode when it first aired. I did prefer the episodes with Michael J. Fox, but Charlie Sheen did a pretty good job of stepping into the show and taking over. Fox returned for some episodes in this 6th season, which added some drama.  This is a comedy, though, so that wasn't really needed. Still, it was nice to have him back.

This was the show's last season, even though it was still funny. I guess the ratings went down and the audience didn't like it as much. Not me - I still watched it!

Unfortunately, there are no features or extras in this set. It's good to finally complete the entire series, though, on DVD.

The Final Season Spin City: The Complete Sixth Season

Starring Charlie Sheen, Heather Locklear & Michael J. Fox!

4-disc set includes 22 hilarious episodes from the show's last season

In stores December 13, 2011 from Shout! Factory

Charlie Howard (Charlie Sheen) and Caitlin Moore (Heather Locklear) return for one last series of comical (mis)adventures with Mayor Randall Winston (Barry Bostwick). On December 13, 2011, Shout! Factory will release the final season of the popular sitcom Spin City.

A must-have for comedy fans and DVD collectors, Spin City: The Complete Sixth Season will include 22 hysterical episodes packed in a four-disc DVD set, which will retail for $29.93.

When there's troulbe in the Big Apple, there's only one man who can spin the mess into success. Actually, make that two: Michael J. Fox returns for a multi-episode arc, reprising his role as the self-assured but affable Mike Flaherty.

With Caitlin's old flame Mike back in town, the tension rises almost as high as the comedy when he decides to go to work on the Mayor's re-election campaign. Meanwhile, Charlie and Caitlin's feelings for each other reach the boiling point.

The final season also stars Richard King (Mad About You), Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller's Day off) and Michael Boatman (Arli$$). Spin City season Six marks the finale of one of television's greatest comedy series.

The Critically-acclaimed show was created by Gary David Goldbert and Bill Lawrence and executive produced by Michael J. Fox and Gary David Goldberg. Spin City debuted on September 17, 1996 and aired on ABC for six seasons.
