Fraggle Rock was a really cute kids' show that adults
could also enjoy, from 1983-1987. I was in college at that
time, so I didn't see it, but I did see the other Jim Henson
show "The Muppet Show" quite a bit. This has the same silly,
fun, muppet humor. Fraggle Rock does not have the Muppet
show characters like Kermit or Miss Piggy. It has all
original characters, the Fraggles, who live underground.
They do a lot of dancing and singing songs.
This disk set has just 6 of the episodes from the first
season. It would make a fun gift to any parent or child. If
you haven't seen Fraggle Rock, and you're not sure you'll
like it, this will introduce you to them. Otherwise, if
you're a Fraggle Rock fan, it's better to buy the new
30th Anniversary disk set, or the
original season sets.
This disk does not have any extras or any
closed-captioning. I don't know why all kids' DVD's don't
have closed-captioning. Too cheap to add it, I guess.
