The Life and Times of Tim: The Complete First Season
by Suzanne
2/2/10 |
I don't find this show very funny. It's not that I mind gross or
crude or sick humor. I watch South Park and Family Guy. I just don't think that
this particular show is funny enough. To me it's not worth watching.
I certainly don't know how anyone that pays for HBO would want to pay for this
show, either. It's certainly not as good as the other HBO shows I've seen in the
past, like The Larry Sanders Show, True Blood, First and Ten. Heck, it's not
even as funny as Flight of the Conchords, which I don't particularly think is
funny. It is not up to the level of quality of great HBO shows like Rome,
The Sopranos, or Deadwood.
If you liked this show on HBO, you will be glad to own this set, I'm sure. Maybe
you are less picky than I am or have a different sense of humor. You should
check it out, give it a try, and see for yourself.
Along with the episodes, there are ten animated short clips. Some of those are
actually funny. I think they should have more features on any disk set than just
that.
Sorry to be so critical and blunt, but I do try to be honest in my reviews here!
The DVD comes out February 9th, courtesy of HBO Home Entertainment.
