DVD TV Show Reviews
I've watched Law & Order: SVU (or SUV as I like to call it) since its first
episode. I really enjoy the characters and the stories. Some fans may be
intrigued by the fact that it is more lurid than the other L&O shows, since it
deals with sexual offenses. I think the acting is top-notch on the show as
well.
Even after five years and a few minor cast changes, the show is still going
great. I am very happy to have this set of shows from last season and I
look forward to purchasing the previous years, as I eagerly watch the current
sixth season. Unfortunately, our society has so many of these types of
crimes now that it is really easy for the writers to get good stories out of
current headlines around the country.
The DVD set has excellent packaging that any DVD fan will be proud to have on
their shelves. The extras on the fourth DVD are not very plentiful, so
that is my only gripe. There are some short interviews with cast members
Ice T, B.D. Wong, and Dann Florek, and a little video montage featuring some big
name guest stars from the show's past. I thought that montage was a little
pointless; I would have rather seen something more interesting.
There is a nice booklet that comes with the set, with pictures and episode
descriptions for this season. That is a nice addition and almost makes up
for the lack of extras.
