DVD TV Show Reviews

This is one of those classic shows that has been around forever.  Everyone has seen a zillion of the episodes since they were kids.  It was one of the first great comedies of television and starred the first major comedienne, Lucille Ball.  The show was on six years, so this collection of 4th season shows is from when it was still going strong.

For some reason, they felt they needed to change things in the show, so in this season, everyone heads to Hollywood to launch Ricky's movie career.  This gave them a lot of opportunity to have many Hollywood guest stars and exciting things going on.  What really made the show great was the chemistry and humor between real-life marrieds Lucy and Desi (Ricky).

If you like slapstick comedy, Lucy is right up there with the greats like Laurel and Hardy and The Three Stooges. Any age can enjoy these shows and will doubtless continue to enjoy them for years to come.
