 Fringe: The Complete Third Season

  Review by Suzanne 8/31/11

I love this show, and I have watched every episode, every year. I was so happy that they renewed it for next year. It's really good science fiction. It could have easily just been a re-do of "The X-Files", but it's so much more than that. It never disappoints and always surprises. That's a great TV show. All TV shows should aspire to be as good as this one.

This season they took on a lot of really inventive stories, and it could have easily jumped the shark. Writing stories about two different worlds, with two different sets of characters, must be very difficult for them to do, yet they more than rose to the challenge.  It's not just the writing and acting that is great, but also the special effects and make-up, and all the little production details. They do an excellent job.

The DVD has four major featurettes, with lots of great information. They are so entertaining. One feature focuses exclusively on the animated episode they did with Leonard Nimoy.  The other features have the actors and production people discussing the dual characters and world in detail and all of the other things that went on this season. I really enjoyed hearing them talk about how they did the acting and other details differently for each character. Of course, it also has the usual unaired scenes.

Buy this and you won't go wrong! Any scifi fan should love it.

"Fringe continues its hot streak known as Season 3. ... It's been firing on all cylinders all season." - Andrew Hanson, LATimes.com

BURBANK, CA (June 28, 2011) - The mystery of the universe(s) deepens and two worlds collide with the release of Fringe: The Complete Third Season from Warner Home Video (WHV). The critically acclaimed third season of television's most thrilling sci-fi series features 22 mind-bending episodes with over three hours of brand new special features, including a Blu-rayTM exclusive featurette and free download offer for an HD digital copy of all 22 episodes. Recently renewed for a fourth season on FOX, Fringe (Fridays 9/8c) continues to be a solid hit among fans and critics. Immersive. Compelling. Hypnotic. Brilliantly imaginative. Endlessly thrilling. Pick your term.
