DVD Reviews
This is a very enjoyable British mini-series, written by
the same guy who did "Downton Abbey," Julian Fellowes. He
also introduces each segment and discusses it at the end.
I have to admit, that while I do love British shows, I've
never seen "Downton Abbey." Furthermore, I thought this one
was a little slow and boring at first, but then I really got
into it and loved it.
Particularly appealing is Ian McShane, who has a small
but memorable role as a really drunk old guy. He's
hilarious. There's a lot of humor and drama in this show. I
would definitely recommend it to anyone. It's only 4
episodes, so it won't take up all that much of your time.
You won't be sorry, though. Now, the ending is a tiny
bit predictable, but it's still very enjoyable.
There are a lot of great features about the show - more
features than there are episodes! I hope there will be a
season 2. It aired on ITV in Britain but only aired here on
Amazon. There's no word yet on whether there will be a
season 2.
