CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - The 13th Season
Review by Suzanne Lanoue
9/15/13 |
This is always one of my favorite shows, and I've seen
every single episode. Although I still miss William
Peterson, Ted Danson has proven to be a great replacement.
The cast is always good on the show, and of the course the
stories are excellent. I think Danson's stardom has brought
new energy into the show.
I can't say I like that they are focusing more now on the
characters or having them be more imperiled, but I do
appreciate the new humor and life in the show. I especially
love the addition of Nick Stokes' dog! Seriously,
though, it's still a very good show. Even if CBS did
disappoint me by canceling CSI: New York, which I actually
loved even more than the original CSI.
It's impressive that a show can still be this good, and
this popular, even though it's going into season 14!
The extras on the DVD are really good. There is a lot here
to watch. One feature is about their special tennis episode;
the cast and crew talk about putting it together and having
tennis stars on the show. Another feature talks about the
crossover episodes they did with CSI: New York (color me
sad). There are many other features. My favorite is the one
that talks about the beginning of CSI. We get to see William
Peterson again, and hear about how the show started. That
was a real treat.
If you're a fan of CSI, you will love this DVD set. Don't
miss it.
