DVD Reviews
I was hoping this would be a funny movie because I really
love the actors in it, particularly the stars Elijah Wood
and Rainn Wilson (both of whom I've interviewed in the
past). However, it's a really horrible, unfunny, bad
movie. I couldn't stomach too much of it. It has nothing but
bad jokes and unrealistic characters. It's just stupid and
gory for no reason.
Honestly, even just the opening credits, where they show
a chicken being killed and processed into food, is bad
enough. It's really gross. Maybe vegetarians made it, but I
would think they could do a better job than this.
All of the fine actors in this are wasted in this movie.
I wonder why they did it? Do any of them need the money this
badly? Wood plays a very similar character to the one
he played in "Wilfred," yet far less interesting. He's
a whiny teacher; a wanna-be writer. He's what they used to
call a milktoast. Everyone in this show just acts very zany,
but for no reason. I would skip it.
It has a featurette about the movie, some deleted scenes,
a gag reel, an alternate ending, audio commentary and a
feature called "Talking Cooties." You should only watch it
if you really enjoyed the movie.
