Big Little Lies: The Complete Second Season
Review by Suzanne Lanoue
1/1/20 |
I loved the first season of this show, and I
have really enjoyed the second season as well. Each season
has a new mystery, it seems. The characters are great
because you seldom see such complex and flawed female
characters like this anywhere on TV or movies.
I
found the first episode to be pretty slow, at first, but
then it got better, and the story quickly drew me in. Adding
Meryl Streep to the cast was a stroke of genius. Her
character is fun to both hate and pity. All of the acting on
the show is amazing, just like the first season. I loved how
they developed some of the characters more thoroughly, like
Bonnie.
The cliffhanger at the end of the season had
me yelling, "No!" because I couldn't believe they would end
so suddenly. Now I can't wait until season 3. We have DISH
Network, which lost HBO, so I'm very happy to have the
series on DVD. I've been recommending it to everyone I know.
The only feature on the DVD has the main stars (the
actresses) sitting around and chatting about the show. It's
kind of interesting - certainly unusual for a DVD extra.
