I really enjoy watching this show every week. If you
haven't watched it, or you only saw a few episodes and wrote
it off, you are really missing out. It's a very good show
with many layers.
Those who loved the 1980's show may be disappointed in
the changes, but otherwise it's a very different show and
maybe even better than that one. The "beast" is a very
handsome guy, but he turns into a beast. His is more of an
inner beast than anything else. Kristin Kreuk is great
as always as a tough cop.
The DVD is a good set and has quite a few extras. You can
listen to commentary on the pilot or see some deleted scenes
from some of the episodes. The other features are all on the
last disk. There's one about the show's first season in
review; there's one all about making up Vincent and the
other beasts; one is about costumes; and lastly, there's a
great gag reel that's fun to watch.
Buy this for your favorite science fiction or fantasy
fan! They will enjoy it.
