The Big Bang Theory: Season 7 [Blu-ray] DVD cover

The Big Bang Theory: Season 7 [Blu-ray]

 Review by Suzanne Lanoue 10/1/14

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this post. The opinions I share are my own.

It took me a while to get into watching this show, but I'm glad I did. Now I never miss it. It's usually pretty funny, and the characters are very likeable.

Leonard had left for the sea in the previous season for a work program, so he can back. Raj has gotten over his shyness with regards to talking to women (thank goodness because that was completely unrealistic). Penny and Sheldon grow closer as friends.

Sheldon and Amy, and Penny and Leonard, move forward in their relationships, with the latter getting engaged. Sheldon and Amy kiss, but Sheldon struggles professionally, wanting to change his field.

Raj dates two women! Penny decides to try acting full-time, but things don't work out well for her.

The season is worth watching, even if you're only a casual fan. The DVD or Blu-ray set would make a great gift. It has many extras, including a gag reel and lots of wonderful features.

Big Bang Theory, The: The Complete Seventh Season (Blu-ray)

Socially challenged they remain, but the scientific geniuses of The Big Bang Theory always deliver hilarious results. Leonard returns from his North Sea expedition to find that his relationship with Penny involves more beta-testing than he’s ever done in a lab. Howard’s attachment issues with the women in his life in particular and Raj’s social breakthrough with women in general provide more laughs. Bernadette and Amy stand staunchly by the men in their life, even when they’re sitting in marathon role-playing games. Sheldon sees his mom (Laurie Metcalf) in a totally different way, parties with James Earl Jones, establishes a (sort of) bond with his idol Professor Proton (Emmy® winner Bob Newhart) and makes a scientific breakthrough that breaks down before you can say Science Friday. Experience your own humor breakthrough with this 3-disc, 24-episode Season Seven set of TV’s most popular comedy.

Enter beautiful, street-smart neighbor, the actress/waitress Penny (Kaley Cuoco), who aims to teach them a thing or two about life. Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard believes he’s found true love with Penny.
