Anger Management: Season One

 Review by Suzanne Lanoue 1/8/13

I love this show. At first, I wasn't sure I would. It didn't seem funny enough, but it grew on me. I love Charlie Sheen, anyway. I wanted him to succeed after what happened with "Two and a Half Men". This show is not like that one at all, even though both are sitcoms. In some ways, TAHM is funnier, but it goes for the same dumb jokes over and over. "Anger Management" is smarter and more realistic. The characters are quirky but fun, and more like real human beings.

The DVD set is great to have. I thought I had seen all of the episodes, but apparently I missed a few! So it wasn't fun to catch up on episodes I hadn't seen yet. There are two disks with the 10 episodes, and the special features include a gag reel and two behind-the-scenes features. One of them talks about the development of the show, and about Charlie. The other one is more about the actors who play the patients, and their characters. It was fun to watch. Sometimes these things can be so boring, but these definitely weren't.

I look forward to the next season. The show is very successful, so they have ordered 90 more episodes! It returns January 17, and I can't wait! Prepare yourself by watching this DVD. You won't be sorry!
