Review of "A
Little Help with Carol Burnett" 5/6/18 by
Eva Diaz
airs now on Netflix.
This is a new netflix show in which Carol Burnett teams
up with co-host Russel Peters and a panel of very smart
little kids to give advice to one celebrity guest and one
non celebrity guest each week. The show is unscripted, so
basically, the kids come up with the most surprisinjg
answers, and Carol and the guests are often surprised by
them. The guests show the kids a video illustrating the
problem, and then Carol asks the children how they would
handle the problem. In one episode, in which the topic of
the day is friendship, Lisa Kudrow arrives to ask the kids
what they would do if they had a very important business
meeting, but shortly after that, your friend called, crying,
saying she had a problem they needed to talk with you about.
The kids made suggestions about how to handle the problem.
Carol also does a funny video with one of the kids, and
Russell Peters asks the kids about their friends. This show
is thirty minutes long per each episode, so it is just the
right length for the whole family to watch; it isn't so long
that younger kids get bored. The show is very funny because
you never know what the kids will say to the guests, and you
can see the guests' and Carol's looks of surprise at the
answers they get from the kids. The guests and Carol also
try very hard not to laugh at the funny answers given by the
kid panel.
I think this is a great family show that
is very funny and worth watching. It's perfect for
binge-watching on a rainy day. I think it also reminds
grown-ups that kids are very smart and often wise beyond
their years. I give this show 5 out of 5 stars!
MORE INFORMATION:
Carol Burnett is back. In this funny and endearing
series, she will be joined by a group of the most honest and
unfiltered people in the world – a gaggle of straight
talking, entertaining 5-9 year old kids. These very
opinionated “experts” weigh-in on a variety of relatable and
humorous dilemmas brought in by everyday adults. Each
episode will feature a celebrity contributor brave enough to
bring in their own dilemma for the kids to comment on in
front of a live audience. The show is co-hosted by comedian
Russell Peters.
