Schitt's Creek cast

"Schitt's Creek" review by Suzanne 2/27/15
Airs Wednesdays 10p/9c on POPTV

This is a cute little Canadian sitcom about a rich family that loses everything when their financial advisor runs off with their money (and the government takes the rest because of unpaid back taxes). Their only asset is a terrible little town they bought as a joke.

They move there and find that it's a really awful town, so they decide to try to sell it. Most of the show is about the family dealing with living like regular people.  The dad is your standard TV dad. Eugene Levy is a master at playing this kind of under-stated dumb guy role. Catherine O'Hara plays his slightly-crazy drugged-up socialite wife (a former TV star). Their son is an artist who may or may not be gay, and their daughter is a socalite, like Paris Hilton or someone like her, who lives on Twitter. They live in a crappy motel and have to deal with the obnoxious mayor (played by Chris Elliot).

It's not the funniest show in the world, but it's entertaining, and the stories are intriguing. I plan to keep watching it! You should check it out.
