"Tyler
Perry's If Loving You Is Wrong" review by Suzanne

I was really hoping I'd like this because I enjoy a good
soap opera, and I'd heard that Tyler Perry's other show "The
Haves and the Have Nots" is pretty good. However, I'm sorry
to say that this is the worst soap opera I've ever seen
(possibly the worst drama), and that includes low budget
online soaps.
It's hard to even know where to begin because the acting,
the timing, the dialogue, the plot - all are very bad.
Embarrassingly bad. The first episode starts out with a
really sexy scene between two of the characters, who are
having an affair. That was fine, but once they started
talking, I wonder if I had somehow tuned into a soft porn
channel because that's how bad the acting and writing are.
I really like Aiden Turner (featured in the photo above),
who plays the cuckolded husband, and also Charles Malik
Whitfield, who's been in many great shows. Turner starred in
"All My Children". He's gorgeous and has a wonderful accent,
and he's learned to act over the years. His talents, as all
of the actors, are wasted in this. It even made me wonder if
there was no script and they were all just ad-libbing or
something. April Parker-Jones is another very fine actress
in this (she was great in "Jericho" and has been on "The
Young & The Restless" quite a few times).
I would give this one a miss unless you really love Tyler
Perry or unless you want to watch something while you get
drunk that you can laugh at because it's so bad.
