A to Z

"A to Z" review by Suzanne
Premieres October 2 on NBC

At first, this show seems a bit contrived or hokey. It's definitely high-concept. However, they do a great job with it. It's a fun sitcom with a lot of romance. If you love romance, or date movies, or soap operas, or fun comedies like "Drop Dead Diva" and "Ugly Betty", you'll probably like this one as well.

The show follows Andy (Ben Feldman) and Zelda (Cristin Milioti), from when they meet, to when they date, and thereafter, until they break up. I don't know how they plan to keep this going, but it should be interesting to see.  Both actors are very engaging, and they do a good job of looking like they're attracted to each other as well as interesting in their own right. Andy is a romantic, and Zelda is a lawyer. They're very different people.

You want to make sure to watch until the end of the pilot because it's very cute. There's a good guest star that shows up and it's kind of funny, and related to the story.  The only thing I didn't like was Andy's friend, Stu, who is VERY annoying. I hope they tone him down. The other characters are just fine. I think the show could be funnier, but as a romance, it's great. It does make you go "Awww!" and makes you want to root for the couple, who are so cute. Check it out!
