I really enjoyed this pilot, and I look forward to seeing
more. I hope it's not too "out there" for most people. In
some ways, the tone of the show is like "Grimm" on NBC. It's
very original, even though it takes from, of course, "The
Legend of Sleepy Hollow" as well as from the bible and other
mythology.
The main character is a female cop in the small town of
Sleepy Hollow. She is with the sheriff when they encounter a
headless horseman. People die in this show, which makes it
great because they have these familiar actor who show up and
then, oops, they're dead! You don't know what to expect and
it keeps you guessing.
Then we meet Ichabod Crane, who is, of course, very sexy
and nothing like the character in the story. But it's
not just a headless horseman that he has to worry about.
There are many different layers to this show, and mysterious
things going on, along with the whole "fish out of water
story" of a man from the 17th century who suddenly appears
in the present. There is humor as well as drama,
tragedy, and a whole lot of action.
I did love this and can't wait until the second episode.
Don't miss it!
