Psych stars

"Psych" series finale review by Suzanne
last episode airs March 26 on USA Network

It's so sad when a good show goes off the air. Psych started off as a fun show but got better and better each season. It got funnier and more clever. There are so many hidden jokes and spoofs, it's hard to even know them all. I appreciate the humor, but I really loved was the relationships and how they developed over time between Shawn and Gus, Shawn and Henry, Shawn and Jules, Shawn and Lassie, Shawn and Woody, and Jules and Lassie. Also, the show has many amazing guest-stars.

This last episode is very sad but also frenetic and, ultimately, heart-warming. Also cool and fun. I know that sounds like a weird combination of adjectives, but anyone who watches the shows that the show veers around wildly like that all of the time.

Shawn makes a big decision and then has to tell someone about it. I wish I could tell you more, but to do so would ruin the story for you. We see everyone in this episode. I loved the way Lassie acted in this episode (and his character really matured this season). I love how they deal with Henry and his future! Spin-off, anyone?

There's two really good guest stars in this episode. Both have been mentioned many times on the show. I don't want to spoil it for you as to who they are, but trust me, you will be giggling gleefully if you're a Psych fan.

We can only hope that there will be a TV movie or regular movie, or more, for the gang. I spoke with creator Steve Frank, as well as James Roday and Dulé Hill, this morning by phone, and they mentioned that they would like to do a Psych movie. I'll post that interview as soon as USA Network sends it to me. It was a lot of fun, even though it was so sad to speak with these guys for the last time.

I hope you enjoy the season finale as much as I did. Don't miss it! If you've never seen the show, I envy you. Now you can go back and watch the entire 8 seasons' worth of episodes!
