24 cast Live Another Day

"24: Live Another Day" review by Suzanne
Premieres Monday May 5 on FOX

I saw the 2 hour premiere of the show and it's really great!  If you loved 24 because of all of its great action, intrigue, twisty plots and fun characters, you won't be disappointed.

I didn't like in the old series whenever Jack would do something unethical, but so far in this one he's the good guy (even though he does some ILLEGAL things, he's being blamed and hunted wrongly by the government for things he was blamed for in season 8). He fights a lot of people but doesn't seem to kill any of them, from what I can tell. I don't like my heroes to kill people or do bad things if they can help it.

If you like the right-wing political stuff, the paranoia and all that, it's still in there, too. There are some allusions to real world politics. But IMHO that was never really what 24 was about. In the world of Jack Bauer, Jack is the only person that can be trusted (and perhaps Chloe). Everyone else has an agenda or is a clueless puppet.

We see some of the familiar characters besides Jack and Chloe, such as Audrey and James Heller. There are many new great faces, some of which you'll recognize from other shows such as Yvonne Strahovski, Benjamin Bratt, and Tate Donovan. Bratt and Strahovski play the good guys who are chasing Jack (now a fugitive). Tate Donovan has a connection to the Hellers. I don't want to say more and spoil it for you! These three actors are always awesome, though, in any of their roles.

Suffice it to say that Jack is back and looking great as ever! The show is even better (at least judging from that two hours) then it was before. Don't miss it...
