TV Show Reviews

"Who
Gets the Last Laugh?" review by Suzanne
Season Premiere April 16 10/9c
I watched the first episode, but I did not
find it funny at all. It's kind of like the old "Candid
Camera" but it's mean. They bring in comedians to set up
"funny" situations for people and then see their reaction.
These are not funny, though, just mean. I would sue them for
some of these "pranks". One gag had them pose as police who
pull this guy over in his car, hassle him, have him do silly
things, and then plant drugs and threaten to arrest him.
Yeah, that's hilarious. Another one has them making this
poor temp girl think that some guy stole some money where
she works, and she is blamed. Then the guy tries to get her
to be quiet about his theft. I mean, this is not funny. Why
pick on these people? It is stupid.
They have comedians come in to do the gags,
and then the audience votes on whose gags are the funniest.
Donald Faison hosts the show, and he is very likable. The
comedians include lots of famous people you have heard of or
seen on TV like The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar or D.L.
Hughley. It's not worth watching, though....

This spring, TBS is going to put a different twist on
hidden-camera comedy
with the brand new series Who Gets the Last Laugh? Hosted by
Donald Faison
(Scrubs), the series will pit some of the industry's best-known
