"Suits" review by Suzanne
new episodes Jan. 17 Thursdays 10/9c on USA Network
This is always a fun legal drama/soap opera. They tackle
legal cases, but the cases are always secondary to the
office politics and relationships. It's still going strong
and I'm glad to see it. I love the show, and all the actors
in it. The writing is top notch, too. The dialogue really
shines, particularly between Mike and Harvey.
I watched two of the new episodes. In the first one
"Blind-sided", Mike has to get his act together. In the
second one, "Blood in the Water", we find out whether Louis
will leave or stay. I don't want to go into too much detail
and spoil it for you. Mike still has girl troubles, of
course, but so do Harvey and Louis, in these two episodes.
Mike has to pay for sleeping with a married woman (Ouch!)
and Louis has everyone hating him, but he manages to save
the day in a big way.
Make sure you watch the new episodes and you definitely
won't be sorry!
MORE INFORMATION:
Suits stars Gabriel Macht as legendary law partner Harvey
Specter, who takes a gamble on hiring Mike Ross, played by
SAG Award nominee Patrick J. Adams. A brilliant associated
with a photographic memory and enclopedic legal knowledge,
Mike is missing just one thing - a degree. Bonded by his
secret, the irrespresible duo navigates the fast-paced world
of Manhattan corporate law and does whatever it takes to
remain undefeated. As the summer finale concluded, Harvey
and Mike were able to make their toughest close yet -
Harvey's arch rival, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) - whose vote
puts Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) back on top after the
firm's other namesake, Daniel Hardman (guest star David
Costabile), challenged her for control. Meanwhile, after
having lost her job to protect him, Harvey's no-nonsense
assistant, Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) is reinstated in
her rightful place outside of his office. Mike, still
reeling from the devastating loss of his grandmother, makes
an emotional decision with a girl from his past that puts
his complicated relationship with the firm's savviest
paralegal Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) in jeopardy.
Additional guest stars this season include Aarti Mann ("The
Big Bang Theory"), Amanda Schull ("Center Stage"), Rachel
Harris ("The Hangover"), Elisabeth Howser ("I Just Want My
Pants Back"), Adam Godley ("Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory") and Diane Neal ("Law & Order: SVU").
Mid-Season Premiere "Blind-Sided" Thursday, January 17th at
10/9C
Harvey and Mike take on a criminal suit that hits close to
home for Mike, who struggles to separate his personal
feelings from the facts of the case. Guest Stars: Aarti
Mann, Elisabeth Howser.
"Blood in the Water" Thursday, January 24th at 10/9C
The War with Daniel may be over, but the battle has left
Pearson Hardman vulnerable, and Harvey must protect the firm
from a rival whose attack seems personal as it is
professional. Louis and Mike are forced to pay the price for
previous actions.
Guest Stars: Jon Foster, Diane Neal, Pooch Hall.
