Sons of Anarchy

"Sons of Anarchy" review by Suzanne
Season 5 Premieres September 11 on FX

This show is always enjoyable, but it's a little hard to watch because of all the violence. There are no "good guys", really, in the show. Yet, it's also hard not to watch because the acting is really great, and the drama is so compelling.  There's always something going on, whether it's action or complicated relationship stuff.

In the two episodes they sent me, Jax takes charge of the club while Clay tries to ingratiate himself with everyone again. Gemma gets a new boyfriend, played by the ever-so-sexy Jimmy Smits as a pimp! No lie. They are great together. He also has some great scenes with Jax.

Something really horrible happens to "Tig", and it's very hard to watch. We don't see too much of Tara in these episodes, but something really awesome and long-awaited happens with her and Jax, in the midst of all the craziness.

Of course SAMCRO gets into a lot of trouble from the law as well as from the bad guys (or should we call them, the badder guys?).  Lost's Harold Perrineau joins the show as a big-time gangster.

You don't want to miss this season! As always, it's very intense.
