Primetime Show Reviews

"Justified"
review by Suzanne
Third Season
Premieres Tuesday, January 17th on FX
I love this show. I can't even tell you how much I love this
show. All the characters are great, there's plenty of action, and stuff
happens that you just don't expect. That all continues in this third
season.
I saw the first 4 episodes of this coming season and they were
awesome. Boyd is back to being Boyd. People die. Raylan has to confront people.
We meet more bad guys. It's all good. Raylan and his girlfriend are expecting
their baby still and trying to prepare for that, but otherwise there is nothing
domestic or bland about the show. And as usual, it has some great guest-stars.
Make sure to tune in! You really won't be sorry. It's one of the
best shows on TV.

Update! FX sent me two more episodes. The show continues to be
fantastic.
"Dewey", who was captured in a previous episode, is on the loose
in the episode "Thick As Mud". Raylan has his own problems with Winona
disappearing. In the next episode "When the Guns Come Out", Raylan gets
caught up again in the Harlan drug problems with Boyd, Ava, and the others. I
can't really go into great detail, but you will love this show if you tune in.
More info:
Developed by Graham Yost and starring Timothy Olyphant, Justified is based on the
works of crime novelist Elmore Leonard, including Leonard’s short story Fire in the
Hole. In Season Two, Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens (Olyphant) squared off
against criminal matriarch Mags Bennett (the part for which Margo Martindale won an
Emmy Award). The end of Season Two brought about the end of the Bennett family’s
hold over Harlan County and the return of Raylan’s old nemesis/friend Boyd Crowder to
the criminal life. This season, Boyd and his crew will find they aren’t the only ones
making a play to rule the Harlan underworld. Now Raylan finds himself facing off against
dirty politics, hidden fortunes, a mysterious man named Limehouse and an enterprising
and lethal criminal from the Motor City.
The series co-stars Walton Goggins as “Boyd Crowder”; Nick Searcy as Givens’
longtime friend and boss “Chief Deputy Art Mullen”; Jacob Pitts as “Deputy Marshal Tim
Gutterson”; Erica Tazel as “Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks”; Joelle Carter as “Ava
Crowder”; and Natalie Zea as Raylan’s ex-wife “Winona Hawkins.” Yost wrote the pilot
and serves as Executive Producer/Writer on the series. Leonard is also an Executive
Producer on the series along with Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Fred Golan.
Justified is produced by Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.
