"A Gifted Man" review by Suzanne

I enjoyed this show, but I don't know if other people would like it. TV audiences generally like shows that are very clearly defined as one thing or another, and this one is kind of a doctor show, but it has a supernatural element. Also, the lead guy is kind of boring and bland-looking, so I don't know if he will go over that well. I thought the writing was pretty good.

The show is about this neurosurgeon who runs into his ex-wife, and then later he finds out that she died two weeks ago. She is trying to get him to help her finish some things that she left hanging before she died. Clearly, though, it will help him as much as her, since he's kind of a rich, somewhat arrogant guy.

He also has a down-on-her-luck sister, who has a friend that's a shaman; and a good friend of his just died, as well. It's interesting to see a show with so many odd little things going on, and I look forward to finding out more.

Even though the show has a ghost, it's fairly realistic and not about all kinds of weird stuff. It's mostly about this doctor's life.  Check it out if you dare!
