Burn Notice cast

"Burn Notice" review by Suzanne
Thursdays 9/8 central on USA Network starting June 14

This is one of my favorite shows. It never disappoints. It somehow manages to be laid-back and fun and yet very exciting and intense at the same time!

At the end of the last season, Fi went to jail and Michael was chasing after the evil Anson to pay him back. The first episode of the season continues on with all of that. There is some great stuff between Sam and Michael! And of course Michael's mom and Jesse. It is very exciting with lots of gunplay, explosions, chases etc. but I always love the character stuff best.

Don't forget to tune i tomorrow, and you won't be sorry!!

Characters Welcome.

Can Michael break Fiona out of jail and hunt down Anson? The answers to your burning questions will begin to unfold this week in the two dynamic premieres.

After a gripping fifth season finale that left viewers with a devastating cliffhanger last year, the emotional sixth season of hit spy drama BURN NOTICE premieres on Thursday, June 14 at 9/8c on USA. One of cable’s top scripted series, BURN NOTICE stars Jeffrey Donovan (“J. Edgar”) as formerly black-listed spy, Michael Westen, currently working under-the-radar with the CIA on special projects.

Last season left Michael in turmoil after his long-time on-again/ off-again girlfriend and love of his life, Fiona Glennane (Gabrielle Anwar, “The Tudors”), turned herself in to the FBI on charges of terrorism in order to save him from an extreme case of blackmail. With Fiona in federal custody, Michael’s emotions and nerves hit maximum capacity as he and his crew, ex-navy seal Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell, “Evil Dead”) and burned counterintelligence expert Jesse Porter (Coby Bell, “The Game”), must band together to hunt down Anson (guest star Jere Burns) and rescue Fiona. Meanwhile, Michael's mother Madeline (two-time Emmy Award-winner Sharon Gless, “Nip/Tuck”) remains the no-nonsense voice of reason for the gang. Exciting guest stars this season include John C. McGinley (“Scrubs”), Lauren Stamile (“Community”), Seth Peterson (“Providence”), Kristanna Loken (“Terminator 3”) and Faran Tahir (“Ironman”).

BURN NOTICE’s digital extension will continue to engage fans online and via mobile as Michael Westen tries to return to his old job at the CIA while fending off the tenacious Anson. To learn more about the upcoming season, fans can watch all new interviews with the cast, take a virtual tour of the Burn Notice set, and test their spy knowledge with trivia questions. Fans looking to delve further into Michael's life off-screen can check out volumes one and two of the award-winning comic book, BURN NOTICE: A New Day. By reading this and playing other show games, fans can earn points towards cool show swag on the fan club website for Burn Circle. This season the action isn’t just on the screen but comes alive online, as well.

BURN NOTICE was created, written and executive produced by Matt Nix (“The Good Guys”, “Chasing Vermeer”). Mikkel Bondesen (“Catch That Kid”) and Alfredo Barrios (“Justice”) also serve as executive producers. The series comes from Fox Television Studios and Fuse Entertainment.

BURN NOTICE was one of the top scripted series on television Thursdays last year among P25-54 and P18-49, with over 6 million total viewers tuning in.

UPDATE: The summer finale, airing 8/23, is really great. Some really startling news comes out, and of course there's the usual action! Tons of it. We get to see a lot of Sharon Gless, so that's always a plus; some very nice romantic scenes between Michael and Fi, and tons of humor as well. You really don't want to miss it! I hate when the show goes on haitus....I always love watching it.

More: BURN NOTICE "Desperate Times" - 9/8c - MID-SEASON FINALE! Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) travels to Panama with his team to capture a deadly assassin. However, the operation goes terribly wrong when the target discovers their location, leaving Michael and his team outnumbered and outgunned. Back in Miami, Madeline (Sharon Gless) tries getting answers to some difficult questions from Card (guest star John C. McGinley).
Guest stars: John C. McGinley, Kenny Johnson, Patti Gardner, Chad Coleman
Social TV: In Burn Notice: First Contact, Michael's flashback story continues in "Slip Away," Chapter 11 of this award-winning comic book series.
