Primetime Show Reviews

"24 Hour Catwalk"
review by Suzanne
Premieres Jan. 10 at 10/9c on Lifetime
I don't normally like reality shows, but some are better than
others. This is one of those competition shows where some people compete for a
prize and are judged by a group of experts. In this case, it's a fashion
competition show. The difference between this one and others is that they
only have a few contestants, and they only have a short time to prove
themselves.
I saw just the first episode. There are ten of them for this
upcoming season. They showed four contestants, who were told to make an outfit
out of a soccer jersey, for soccer moms. It was fairly obvious who would win.
Then those two winners went on to compete in another round against each other.
They were given some jewels and then told to make a camping outfit with it.
There were two words I had never heard before, that I learned
from watching this episode. One was "glamping" and the other was "sloper".
Apparently glamping means to decorate your camping outfit with jewels. A sloper
is a type of pattern. It was an informative show, at least!
If you like competition or fashion shows, I'm sure you will
enjoy this one.
