Primetime Show Reviews

Steven Pasquale and Lucy Liu

"Marry Me" review by Suzanne
Airs Sunday, December 12 at 9pm et/pt (part one) and then Monday, December 13 at 9pm et/pt (part two) on Lifetime.

This is a really fun lifetime movie, although a little long at 4 hours.  Lucy Liu stars as a social worker, Rae, and aspiring artist who has three men chasing her for most of the movie. She wants to get married but is not sure which one she loves. First her boyfriend, Adam dumps her, and then she meets Luke, a very romantic man who sweeps her off her feet. She also meets his best friend, Harry, who is handsome and charming. All three fall in love with her. She also has to take in a teenaged orphan, Immy, making her life even more hectic.

Lucy Liu is great in the movie and very likable.  She is not the bitch or femme fatale that we have seen her as in so many movies and TV shows.  The movie has a ton of great actors who play very interesting characters.  Rae's family include the always-fun Annie Potts as her mom.

This is most definitely a "chick flick". The point of view is all from Rae, and she talks a lot to her girlfriends and family. It is a fun romantic comedy. Any woman should enjoy it. I don't know if any guys will, honestly, although it does have some funny parts. I really enjoyed watching it.

Marry Me: Lucy Liu (Ally McBeal, Charlie’s Angels) stars in the Lifetime Television original miniseries event Marry Me, the story of one woman’s journey to find her elusive “Prince Charming.” But when she happens to find three at the same time, who she ultimately chooses is a surprise…even to her.

The two night event kicks off on Sunday, December 12th and concludes on Monday, December 13, airing at 9pm ET/PT on both nights. Steven Pasquale (Rescue Me), Bobby Cannavale (The Other Guys), Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace), Annie Potts (Law & Order: SUV), Vanessa Marano (Dexter), Elizabeth Bogush (Big Bang Theory) and Danielle Nicolet (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) also star.

In anticipation of the December 12th premiere here is some more that you might enjoy. You can find links to the official site and :60 promo.

We have a clip from the premiere of Lifetime's Marry Me for you. Marry Me (starring Lucy Liu) is a Lifetime Television original miniseries event that will air over two nights: Sunday, December 12th and Monday, December 13th at 9pm ET/PT on both evenings.
Here is a synopsis to tell you a little more about the miniseries - Marry Me is the story of one woman's journey to find her elusive "Prince Charming." But when she happens to find three at the same time, who she ultimately chooses is a surprise...even to her. Steven Pasquale (Rescue Me), Bobby Cannavale (The Other Guys), Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace), Annie Potts (Law & Order: SUV), Vanessa Marano (Dexter), Elizabeth Bogush (Big Bang Theory) and Danielle Nicolet (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) also star.
The clip features Lucy Liu's character, Rae, in the early stages of her relationship with Steven Pasquale's character, Luke. In the clip Rae debates the status of her relationship with some coworkers who discuss when a man should or should not call. It's a cute clip, and I think you will enjoy it!
