Primetime Show Reviews

"The Next Food Network Star" Series Premiere
Review by Suzanne
I have to admit that I'm not a reality show watcher (or "competition show" I
think they call this type). I just don't like them. I find them boring and
often degrading. However, I do love Food Network, and, well, food.
They do a good job making this contest between the wanna-be chefs very
interesting. It's just not my kind of thing. For those of you who love
things like Top Model, Iron Chef, Survivor etc. you will probably love this
show. It takes a lot of interesting twists and turns before the end. Host
Bobby Flay is always fun and entertaining!
I was surprised to read that this is the season five premiere. Wow! I didn't
know it had been on that long. The contestants' challenge was to make a
Sweet 16 party, to celebrate Food Network's 16 years on the air.
I do find it interesting that they seem to get more "real people" to compete
on this show and not just actors or wanna-be actors like many reality shows
do.

It airs Sunday nights at 9pm/8c.
