"Flash Forward" Series Review by Suzanne
Airing on ABC Thursdays 8/7c

This is a very good and intriguing, action-packed show. Which is good because otherwise I'd have to say "Fast Forward past Flash Forward", and that would be lame.

I have to admit that at first, I didn't think much of the premise when I read it (the whole world blacks out for two minutes and has a vision of the future). It sounded weird but not scifi enough for me. I was wrong. I didn't consider what would happen if the whole world blacks out for two minutes, for starters. It's fine if you're just sitting on your couch at home, but if you're driving a vehicle (or a plane!) or swimming, or operating, or anything where losing control can be disastrous...it's very bad.

Then everyone panics and there's chaos, and suddenly the whole world has lost their confidence, their place in the universe (worse than if aliens had landed because it's all unexplained and thus more scary).

The show's tone reminds me a lot of "Lost".  The premiere episode was just as exciting as Lost (and there were even strange animals).  They've done a great job with it. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Oh, yeah, the cast is really good, too, and includes John Cho from "Star Trek" and "Harold and Kumar"; Joseph Fiennes, Peyton List, and many other almost-familiar-looking faces.

If you like show that are out of the ordinary and unpredictable, you will love this one! I think it will be a huge hit. It is up against the aging shows "Survivor" and "Bones", and the new CW teen vampire show "Vampire Diaries". I think it will beat all of them. I just hope "Bones" survives because I love that show.
